Both movies have ‘seize the day’ as a main catchphrase/anthem; the more outgoing one wants to reject the expectations set out for them by the world they are in and escape into a world that isn’t real; both of the two outgoing ones have artistic pursuits as a side plot (Jack with the painting and Neil with acting); both have a theater as a key location (obviously Neil, and newsies has the meetings in the theater and Jack is friends with the woman from the theater, love her but im blanking on the name 🙏, they even have the whole dance number there), both are period pieces, there is the looming threat of being caught by the authority figures; story about overcoming oppressive systems; a rag-tag found family group of mostly boys with one girl (unless we are talking about the UK version of Newsies, I believe they made the Brooklyn kids girls in the uk one), like bruh I can’t this is same plot different font and I love them both so much

A more outgoing boy befriends a more shy and anxious one, leading them to develop an intense bond that's basically a romantic relationship. Obviously it's not a one-to-one comparison because of how different the stories are but I think they're similar enough

long answer: their relationship is complicated on the basis of them having MEANT to be each other's halves only to not have that purpose fulfilled, and combine both having been abandoned/neglected before meeting, they end up clinging to each other very hard. they bring out the best in each other though there's still that edge of underlying issues they needa sort out so it doesn't become completely codependent. they need other people in their lives to balance that out and keep them from self-isolating, but its hard to do that when you expect to be left behind by anyone but your other half. they're just a little too close to each other for it (the irony in it of them not even sharing a body like canonical sun/moon and yet being inseparable is rlly funny to me tbh). best way i can label their relationship is an unofficial qpr cause they DO love each other very much and it influences their actions with the other, but its not a cut and dry "this is my lover" kind of thing. it's just love, doesn't matter if it's romantic or platonic to them

This one powdered detergent smells so fucking good but my building said “only liquid in the machines” and if I use it hand washing my stuff is sometimes stiff afterwards. It smells so fucking good though 😫 and lasts way longer than the liquid stuff 😔 but they have cameras outside the laundry room (and I know they use them because sometimes they will put a note by your door if you forget a rule) so I can’t get away with using it in the machines. The shirt I put on today was washed a few months ago when I was still using it and it smells so good 🫠 I am sad
