#Rorqual is another name for the Razorback whale and Razorback is the trail that gets you up Feathertop Mt in Australia#it’s very convoluted but it’s cute#again ‘scarecrow’ is a reskin#he’s an undead but his ancestral legacy is that of a warforged#plot wise he was going back to Mother Rigby’s home to return her pipe and give up on life#but found evidence of a horrible struggle instead#as awful as he finds being a facsimile of a human to be#he’s certainly not willing to abandon his mother#unfortunately his only remaining magic is whatever the fiend Dickon she entrusted to him can muster#and it’s eating away at his illusion of life#my art#Neverafter oc#neverafter d20#my ocs

D&D stuff again! 5e
Hey gang, i’m prepping for my groups game tomorrow morning. My idea is a displaced Hag (who was only driven south towards villages because of the players actions #oops I told them bad stuff was gonna happen if they started a war RIP) has used magic to transform all the children of a halfling village into scarecrows. (the scarecrow thing i got from a prompt then expanded on it). The children are still alive but are being taken over night as the hag converts more of the nearby woods into farmland. referred to only as ‘The Farm’ the hag seeks to recreate the fields that were burned down because of the PCs actions. so as she develops more land into a twisted horrific orchard of sorts, she takes more of the children shes transformed to watch the fields. The PC’s will be begged to take action, being hinted at that its kind of their fault to start with, and will have to navigate a seemingly endless twisted, haunted farmland.
My question is! What are some dope custom creatures I can throw into a farm/orchard/ field setting. It would be awesome if the custom ideas came paired with ideas of what creatures attributes list i could reskin to create them. I dont have time to balance all new creatures so im just gonna reskin some that exist and make them fit the setting. so for example
A massive gourd plant enchanted to try and strangle the players (see attributes of: Awakened Tree)
There are four players who are all freshly level 5! Help me out please i super procrastinated and am developing this on the fly!! Give a DM a bone

Era’s Anime Corner - Junji Ito Collection (Season Overview)
Junji Ito is one of the most, if not the most, well-known name when it comes to horror manga. From Uzumaki to Gyo to Amigara Fault, if you’re a horror fan, chances are you’ve heard of his work. Doubly so if you’re also a regular manga fan.
So it stands to reason that people would be hyped when the news broke that an anime adaptation of his work was coming out. Looking back on the adaptation now that it’s finished (I’m not counting the OVAs that are coming out in in a couple months) has the adaptation been faithful? More importantly, was it good? Join me under the ‘Read More’ to find out.
It’s kind of hard to say, personally. The artwork is… not incredible. Junji Ito’s style is based heavily in unnerving visuals and the anime does manage to portray them well… sometimes. When the scary thing is a mostly static image, it looks quite good.
However, when the scary thing has to move… well... we wind up with this.
That isn’t to say this is horrible, most of the stories do a good enough job sucking you in that you don’t always notice. Though, again, that would come down to the original writing.
Speaking of the writing, that can also be a mixed bag but that comes more down to your personal tastes. As an anthology, the subject matter covers a wide range of topics that you personally may or may not find scary. The quality can also be a mixed bag at times too. When the story is good, it’s like a really good creepypasta, but when it’s bad, it’s like a really bad creepypasta.
Long story short, if you’re interested in Junji Ito’s work, it might be a better idea to just find his original manga. The adaptation doesn’t really add much but it’s not awful. If you don’t want to hunt down all the miscellaneous works of Ito, this can be a good way to get your spooks in twenty minute bursts. In the end, it comes down to what you’d prefer.
If you’re interested, I’ve made a list of what I’d recommend as the ‘good’ stories. Of course, this comes down to my personal taste but hey, my opinion must matter somewhat If you’re reading this.
Episode 1, Story 2 – “Hell Doll Funeral”
Episode 2, Story 2 – “The Long Dream”
Episode 3 – “Boy at the Crossroads” and “Slug Girl”
Episode 4 – “Shiver” and “Marionette Mansion”
Episode 5, Story 1 – “The Ongoing Tale of Oshikiri Collection”
Episode 6 – “Window Next Door” and “Gentle Goodbye”
Episode 7 – “Used Record” and “Town of No Roads”
Episode 9 – “Painter” and “Blood-bubble Bushes”
Episode 11 – “Supernatural Transfer Student” and “Scarecrow”
Kind of like the rest of the show, the Opening and Ending songs are kind of mixed as well. The opening is a good enough song but it doesn’t quite fit the tone of the anime itself. It’s a bit too high-paced for a relatively slow horror show.
The Ending does a much better job of fitting the mood. It opens very discordantly which continues whatever feeling of unease you’d have leftover from the episode itself. I also like the added touch of reskinning the visuals based on the particular stories of the episode.
I think that’s all I really have to say. Thank you all for joining me in Junji Ito’s House of Spooks. Probably by the time this goes up the spring season will have started so I hope to see you there.
See you next Anime Time!

Injustice 2 is AMAZING! Tried some of the new roster, and I love most of them. Scarecrow, Blue Beetle, and Doctor Fate are a blast, especially the latter. Poison Ivy is way more complex than I expected her to be, and Robin is super slow, surprisingly. I was expecting him to play like Nightwing, but I get why NR didn’t want to make a reskin of a character from the last game. He’s still slow...like, Wonder Woman or Superman slow. Maybe slower. The mechanics, art, and graphics are all top-notch. Someone should send a copy of this game to Capcom so they can learn how to make good fighting games again. Also, the game came with a discount for a movie ticket for Wonder Woman, so like...the gift that keeps on giving!
