Blorbo for Mystic Summons au, takes place after Leo loses his arm.

Leo opened his eyes, half-lidded and drowsy still. The world spun in a kaleidescope of blurred colors and shapes. He scrunched his eyes shut, tensed, and willed it to go away. It did. Gradually. Once the spinning and subsequent nausau stopped, Leo reopened his eyes and settled into his body. The crinkle of sheets under him and the shift of a blanket when he moved told him he was in a bed. Not his though if the scent and color choice said anything. Which it didn't literally but still.

The dimmed lighting either meant it was night or someone was worried about waking him.

Tilting his head to look on either side of him felt like a momentous task. Muscles aching in tandem with his brain fog. Geez, what did I do before this? Run a marathon or six? I am so tired.

To his left was the rest of the room. Which if his eyes would focus he could tell what that was, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

To the right was the door. And a slumbering figure in a chair that looked like it was dragged in from another room. Because, wow, that does not match the decor in here that I can see at all. I hope it is not normally in here. Otherwise I'm gonna need to have a talk with somebody.

After straining to pick out details with his still unfocused eyes for far too long, Leo gave up and closed his eyes with a sigh. Letting his head flop back onto the pillow with a thump. The motion jolted awake the guy in the, absolutely hideous, chair.

A grey sweatshirt over baggy worn blue jeans, long black hair pulled in a messy half pony, and startingly blue eyes.

Ah, I know this guy. Casey.

"Still a walking self-care disaster." Leo mumbled outloud, potentionaly unintentional.

Casey heard but elected to ignore that comment. He instead slipped around the end of the bed and checked Leo's pulse using his left wrist. Comparing and counting with a watch he was wearing.

The yokai scrunched his brow in confusion.

"Dude, you could have just done that with my right. Less work."

He lifted his right to wave it around to prove his point. Or tried to anyway.

He was met with the sensation of.....nothing. He felt his shoulder move, but nothing after that. Feeling just.....ended. Leo's beak twisted in further confusion, his mind on the brink, the precipice of remembering something important, of clearing his fuzzy head.

Casey was saying something but Leo wasn't paying attention, too preoccupied with the mystery of why his right arm wasn't responding. He turned his head and lifted it to see better, ignoring his body's aching protests. What he saw...was nothing. A small bit swathed in white bandages extended a little past his shoulder. But that was it. His arm just ended. It wasn't there.

What. Why isn't...

Then the brain fog cleared and let the memories come crashing back in.

The glint of metal, the all consuming burning pain, a horned face cruel and cold.

Horrible re-realization and panic pulled him into a sitting position, lurching up. His left arm held onto his shoulder, feeling the absence of that arm. He hunched forward, eyes blown wide, pupils pinpricks, his breathing shook and convulsed in his chest. Tears fell unbidden. He leaned forward pulling his knees up to grind his forhead on. His whole body tensed, fingers and toes curling in, then released inone long shuddering breath.

"I'm never going to see a triceratops the same again, am I?"

".....No." Casey said, remorseful. The experience had already been ruined for him, but it must be 10x worse for Leo and his brothers.

".....Cool." It wasn't. "My favorite was brachiosaurus anyway." Leo tried to joke. Emphasis on tried.

He really needed a better coping mechanism. But laughter was supposed to be the best medicine right? Too bad his laughter died deep in his chest. And dang, the tears just wouldn't stop. No matter how hard he tried. So he dropped his resistance and let them flow. He just lost his entire freaking arm, facade be damned.

This felt better that holding it back anyway.

Leo was a quiet cryer, quieter that even Donnie(who wasn't as quiet as he thought himself) He didn't sob loudly, it was just silent anguish. Over time his brothers figured this out and learned how to tell. Leo would say he preffered to cry alone if it wasn't a lie, he absolutely hated it. It was just so hard to take that first step. Once he started, moving anywhere by himself was out of the question; he just couldn't.

Leo had curled further into himself. The solitary arm hugging his knees to his chest had him crying harder.

Now a Leo from another time might be thinking himself selfish for crying over his arm before making sure his brothers were okay; but those same brothers had drilled into his brain (and their own) that if no one was dying right that second, to take care of himself first. They were all still working on that, but they were working on it.

Casey was panicing.

"Um, it's okay. I'll uh I'll go get your brothers? Would that help?" I have no idea what I'm doing.

Every action was faltering, not sure what would help or make it worse. He moved toward the door, deciding to find someone else who would know what to do, at least more than he did.

Leo noticed Casey leaving and was clutched by fear, he hated crying alone.

"Don't leave!" was choked out past his tears in desperation.

The utter and absolute panic in the slider's eyes told Casey that the best course of action would be to stay. So he did. His hand lifting off the doorknob to hang awkwardly at his side. Casey came back around to sit back down in the chair Leo had first seen him in.

"I won't." He promised.

Leo sagged in relief. Silence only broken by shuddering breathes settled over the room. Surprisingly the atmosphere was not negative.

Casey was still uncertain if he should be doing something more, so he fidgeted nervously. Carefully studying Leo when he sat back up, wiping away his remaining tears with his remaining hand, sniffling.

"Do you....um.....do you want a hug?"

For Casey a hug always made him feel better after crying.

Leo looked surprised by the offer but recovered quickly, smiling softly and shy. "Sure, I'd love one."

Casey stood and leaned over, wrapping his arms around Leo. He gave his best, most comforting hug he could, mindful of Leo's injuries.

It reminded Leo of Raph's hugs. Of a big brother. Of warmth and safety. It wasn't nearly as crushing and all-encompassing, but it was still absolutely amazing and exactly what he needed.

What’s going on in your after dark AU

I think of it more as a post-movie fic in comic form with a bunch of worldbuilding headcanons but anyways

After Dark is the name of the comic, I've planned two parts, two arcs.

We are just entering the first arc of the comic! Backyard fairies!

Its the farmhouse arc that was present in both the 2003 and 2012 iterations (I've watched both) in which the turtles (try to) heal after a big event, be it a failure or a victory. The surroundings of the farmhouse hold many mysteries, because the hamatos will never catch a break :/ poor guys

The parts of the arc will be more just like little one shots with a thin plot connecting them like in the show instead of the plot being the main focus, it thickens towards the end but overall I'm more exploring the world and the characters and what they've been through.

The main characters in this arc would be Mikey, April, Donnie and Casey because Raph and Leo got the film. Splinter and Draxum won't appear in this arc to deal with the aftermath in the hidden city because they believed the boys would be safe away from it (of course they were wrong). Cassandra has a clan of middle-schoolers to run in new york which was put on lock down, so she too in the end won't be able to visit :[

The episodes would be like this:

Mikey in wonderland- the focus is Mikey, he goes to explore the woods a bit because his arms ache and he needs a distraction.

Target practice- the focus is April, the exploration of her role in the predicament the hamatos are stuck along with a small theme of feminism and her being a part of the clan.

Five easy steps to build a tree house- the focus is Casey, he lost his home, and he realizes the turtles he grew up with are gone with it too, also a glimpse of his past and birth.

Its the IRS! but they're not after Donnie?- amateur timestress tries to impress her mentor, and draggs Mikey with her into the mess.

Germophobia- Mikey drags Donnie into the woods to meet someone he met there. Donnie isn't a fan.

Thats it for the first arc I think. There will be smaller stuff in between that'll show the details, how Raph and Leo are doing, what is up in NY and the HC (hidden city).

The second arc is the infamous tmnt space arrrrc

It'll be called star sailor ✨ the main focus in it will be Donnie :D it'll include the triceratons, fugitoid, many aliens and a lot of existential crisis :'] i think it'll be much more angsty and philosophical then the first arc and ooh can't forget the amount of body horror I've planned >:D

Whew, this took tooooo long to write. Here we go!!

3: What Is the Lair Like? The Lair is below a quieter part of the city, built around rotting sewers from centuries ago. It has 2 Entry Ways and 3 Escape Exits, all leading horizontal from the surface, tucked behind an alleyway. Minimal natural lighting but very, very warm and damp (good for cold-blooded turtles!); candles & lanterns make good lighting when the electricity fuzzes out, but be cautious of flammables.

2 Bathrooms at different ends of the Lair. Sewage areas in the living space are covered up by boards and carpets.

1.5 Bedrooms. Sometimes the turtles will rearrange whose bed goes where & end up sleeping over in each other’s spaces; Dontallo claims a loft for extra work space, but Leo is free to stay. Raph and Leo always take the darkest corners of the bedroom. Mikey will literally sleep wherever, whenever, bedroom or not. Splinter has his own room but it’s honestly more like a closet with sheets on the floor (he claims he doesn’t need a lot of space).

5: What Is the Origin of the Mutagen? Mutagen is essentially just real-world radioactive pollution gone viciously potent. It’s commonly in thick liquid form, glowing green and slow-moving, but can be found as gases and solids. After heavy periods of fuel harvest by The Foot, Mutagen is present in fog and/or rain. A large majority of scholars and theists alike in NYC (those who have access to much older texts, at least) believe there was some influence in the Mutagen by Utroms (see below).

7: Are There Aliens? TL;DR, not tangibly! By 5584, science, fiction, and religion has mixed beyond distinction. Scholars and theists alike have pieced together a sort of nature religion with cosmic entities. The most commonly known deities are the Utroms and Kra(a)ng.

The most universally accepted pantheon includes the Utrom-Krang, Triceratons/ Styracodons, Rock/Stone Soldiers, and the Inuwashi Gunjin. Some subscribers have attempted to connect the deities to the four elements and/or four temperaments despite several factors in every deity’s mythos overlapping in elements; they are not seperate from nature and instead are of nature, all possessing both positive and negative characteristics.

The Foot (or leading Ōshiro family, at least) are heavily invested in and lead by in the Utrom-Krang mythos. Closest thing I can relate them to is Zhar & Lloigor of the Cthulu Mythos. If Krang are a devastating storm, then Utroms are the agricultural growth in its aftermath.

28: Is There a Mona Lisa? Y’know what? Why not. She’s not a huge part of the overarching story but probably appears in a side mission or two. Mona Lisa is a (formerly-)human physicist working for the Filch, a powerful group of nomadic pirates who have mostly settled on the waters. Her seaside village was destroyed and Mona was tasked to develop Filch’s submarines while also working with the crew’s cartographers. Over 2+ years, she was affected by animal Mutagen and grew painful scales around her body. Mona Lisa appears more human than animal, however.

One of my favorite scar headcanons is that 2003 Donatello got scars from the mind probe from the episode Space Invaders |||.

I have the exact same headcanon my dude.

Talking about 2003 alone (I describe this in Too Many Turtles but I’ll give a summary here) then my personal headcanons is that Donny actually has very little scars, only the mind probe ones, the cut on his leg that got him infected with the Outbreak, and a few chemical and burn scars on his hands from all the tinkering he does. He’s the most careful out of all the brothers, as seen in the show, and I can imagine the other brothers try to take hits for him in fights and generally are the most protective of him (especially after he tells them about the events of SAINW). Everyone also is protective of Mikey too, but Don is a special case. Mikey has the most natural skill and they know this, it’s actually very hard to get a hit on Mikey in a fight and is a formidable opponent (who is much more willing to use lethal violence than Donny, I mean the guy ran away giggling after pulling the pin of a grenade on a Triceraton). Donny, on the other hand, is less skilled at them in fighting (shown in the show, though trust me he’s still a very skilled ninja). I feel like all of his brothers have a priority to protect him the most in a fight, even if it’s subconscious.

Naturally Leo and Raph have the most scars, but they’re all pretty beat up. I headcanon:

Leo still has a chunk of his shell missing (I don’t care they removed it for an easier design later, fight me). He has numerous scars, mostly from his fight with the Shredder that lead to him getting thrown through a window. The glass left some pretty faint slashes on the backs of his arms and legs.

Raph has the most. I noticed in the show he is constantly throwing himself in front of his bros in a fight, and so I now have the headcanon that he has so many from doing this. He also has a burn scar on one side of his face, where an explosion was a little too close for comfort (inspired from an arc in the comics where half his face was literally blasted off).

Mikey also has quite a lot, mostly due to his reckless nature rather than fights. Like I said, he’s hard to actually hit but as a kid he would constantly end up with scrapes and scars from doing dumb shit. Most of these are very faded. And yeah, he’s got lots of scarring around his missing arm that also caught his face. I’ve already written about him initially losing his arm in my fic, All I Ever Wanted, but this is only the aftermath really. Donny was the only one that saw what happened, but it was basically torn off, poor guy. I’m keeping it mysteriously vague so I don’t spoil things, y’all gotta wait ;)

Mikey also has (as mentioned in Too Many Turtles) a lot of plastron scarring from Kluh in Grudge Match. His plastron, in my headcanon world, actually cracked under the beating he received, and now there are faint cracks webbing across the top area. He likes to cover these by painting on them, kind of like watercolour tattoos (Leo lets him do this to his shell too).

It had been said that the Triceraton Mind Probe never left its victims in tact. Donnie had no chance to question that before having it slammed on to his head. It never finished and he had shorted it out. But it still went through some parts of his brain. It still left an impact.

Yet another fic about the aftermath of the mind probe because there's not enough. This time with dissociation and nightmares!

Matching two large shards of glass couldn’t fix the window. There was no way to glue the pieces back together. But he couldn’t keep broken glass around him. He had to do something.

But the glass was himself. His very being. Everything that’s ever happened to him and everything that he’s ever been. He couldn’t throw it away. "

Alright... plot of the movie!

First: happens 2~3 years after fifth season. The Turtles and Saki have moved into the Hidden City permanently, Karai's integrated in the family, everyone who needed therapy got therapy, everything is fine.

One night, Rat King breaks into Saki's room and starts being a cryptic weirdo, as per usual. In order to get him out of the room, Saki humors him and goes to wherever he told him to go.

A space capsule is crashed there, and there's a small robot in it.

Brings the robot back home, and goes wake up everyone so they can figure out what to do.

Donnie charges the robot and robot wakes up.

Robot introduction: it's Dr Honeycutt!

Explains he was running away from the Triceratons Empire

Raph recognizes that name as the aliens that Mona Lisa's family apparently ran from, and says so

The rest propose to him to stay here for a while!

Montage where we see Honeycutt being shown around the Hidden City, slowly integrating himself there over a few months (we also get an occasion to see how everyone's else been doing)

Cut to night before Big Yolai Festival: everyone's happy and eating pizza and talking about how the Battle Nexus tournament is gonna go (Mikey's bragging a bit cuz he's the current ruling champion)

Phone rings, Saki goes to answer, it's Habiki. She explains to him that she had a disaster vision including a threat coming down from the stars, and that the Turtles were involved.

Saki reassures her he'll keep an eye out for any disasters, and goes back to dinner. Decides to tell the others abt it once the Tournament is over.

Festival and Tournament starts! Everyone's having a blast, Mikey's kicking ass, everything's being cool.

Suddenly, April and Casey both get phonecalls (from Kirby and Kendra respectively) and excuse themselves to go check what it is.

Aliens are invading New York.

April and Casey go get Donnie (who's not participating) so they can have help for that

Donnie excuses himself, runs back to the clinic and the three take the Turtle Tank. Leaves a message in the group chat explaining what's happening.

Cut to them in New York: weird dinosaur aliens are attacking. Battle/chase scene with an alien tank ensues.

Battle ends when Donnie and Casey get out of the Tank to fight one of the bigger aliens.

The alien gets hit by a car. (Woohoo!) The car's driver is Bishop. (No!) He has Kirby and Kendra in his car because he was anticipating the Hamato clan getting involved. (Hooray?)

Before he and Donnie can argue, channels telling people to evacuate get hijacked by the aliens.

The aliens introduce themselves: They're the Triceratons, and they're here for Dr Honeycutt and to invade planet Earth

Short argument between Bishop and Donnie when Bishop gets in the Turtle Tank about whether or not Donnie knew about Honeycutt. (Rare Bishop W, Donnie allows him in on it for now)

Go back to homebase at end of day, Donnie explains the situation (First day of combats are finished)

Honeycutt explains the full situation of why he's running from the Triceratons (still working on it, but gist of it is that he was a weapon maker on the other side of a space war with the Triceratons and now they're trying to capture him to make him make weapons for them)

Everyone agrees that surrendering Honeycutt isn't an option, formulate a plan

Big battle where the Hamato clan invades Triceraton main ship and fight/scare them off ninja-style (still working on that part)

The four turtles find the chief, challenge him to a fight where he and his fleet leave the earth alone if they win. He accepts thinking it'll be easy, he loses.

Triceraton chief tries to kill one of the Turtles at the end of the battle, Leo kills him before that can happen.

Aftermath of battle, Bishop and his squad in charge of the clean-up.

Hamato clan + Honeycutt talking about what's gonna happen now.

They decide against banishing him, and everyone goes to bed because the 'throwing aliens off of the planet plan' happened over like, four hours.

Few days later, tournament is still going full-on because the disaster didn't affect the Hidden City

Mikey just won the Finale of the Battle Nexus, gets crowned champion for the fourth year in a row.

Big party to celebrate his victory, everyone's having fun, and everything will be fine.

Also, apparently the Triceratons have an annual "horn sharpening day."

Mikey literally just killed a Triceraton with his own grenade.

"It's like you got a sign on your back that says 'vaporize me!'" And everyone moves away from the poor guy.

The Triceratons literally grabbed an entire chunk of the Earth's crust, took Beijing with it, and probably killed a bunch of people in the process. Can you chill?

Also, the existence of the turtles was literally exposed to numerous world governments thanks to this scene... and they do nothing with it. Me sad.

Aaaaaaaaand Bishop is officially introduced.

Aren't the Justice Force supposed to be these all powerful, world renowned superheroes? And yet the ultimately got their asses handed to them by the Triceratons.

Then again, if they did win, this entire story arc would have basically ended there.

Humanity resorting to nukes... and it still doesn't work.

Leo flailing in the background as Mikey increased the speed of the ship was hilarious tho

I'm glad there's this brief scene with Shredder and Karai to show just what the hell they're up to during this whole invasion. (Which is basically just sitting down and waiting to see what opportunities arise in the aftermath.)

Seriously, how did Mikey figure out how to fly the spaceship so easily? I know he's stated to be the most naturally talented of the turtles, but they're specifically referring to martial arts in most of his profiles.

"I don't believe this. Mikey's actually pullin' it off." "See? He's not completely useless." "I heard that." G O D.

"Okay, fearless leader. How do we find Don?" "Uh, give me a second. If you couldn't tell, I'm making this up as I go." Leo moments I ADORE.

These damn episode cliffhangers during major story arcs I s2g.

Finally Rewatching Space Invaders Trilogy, Let's Goooooooo

Part 1

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Zanramon's voice? The actor puts so much into making him sound so hammy. (If the wiki isn't lying, it's apparently the same guy who did Professor Oak in the 4Kids Pokemon dub.

Edit: gatorkid509 confirmed that the wiki is lying and that it's actually David Brimmer. This is why you take any information over there with a grain of salt XD

Also, in-universe, the Milky Way Galaxy is referred to as the T-17 Galaxy by alien species such as the Triceratons. Interesting bit of lore there.

The chaotic energy of the PB&J duo playing video games while hanging upside down. I'm convinced this and the part with the couch from the end of "Nobody's Fool" is Don's way of flexing on his brothers.

Splinter is down at the bottom while this is happening, too. He's so used to his kids being ridiculous at this point.

Oooooh boy, the humans have no idea what they're in for.

Yeah, not surprising that every major military base was blown up in a matter of minutes (hours? Sometimes you can't tell how much time has actually passed in this show.)

Is it really necessary to kidnap innocent civilians? C'mon bro, none of them have weapons.

Oh boy, the first allusion to Agent Bishop's existence, as well as the fact he is very well aware of the turtles and their existence.

"You know, if all those people were let out at once, there'd be a lot of confusion." "Mikey had a good idea?" "Mikey had a good idea."

IS THAT THE BLIND MAN WHO WAS PART OF THE INCIDENT THAT RESULTED IN THE TURTLES' MUTATION. I know they're probably just reusing a model sheet, BUT STILL.

It looks like he might have died ;A;

Oh my god, I never noticed that they also foreshadowed the Tricateron Mind Probe. And based on the simulation that they showed, if Donny hadn't been able to resist the mind probe without Splinter's help, he might have actually died. (You're welcome.)

Mikey and Raph really had a lot of good moments in this episode

"Mikey?" "Definitely Mikey." This is the power that comes with having hatched from the same clutch of eggs.

"Donny, I could just kiss you!" "Really?" I am halfway between being amused at that interaction and wondering how the hell the writer managed to slip that in under Peter Laird's nose.

And thus Donny ends up getting captured. Pour one out for the Triceratons because they have made a TERRIBLE mistake.
