"please, come to bed" (heeseung x reader)
genre: fluff word count: 0.6k requested by nonnie âĄ
a/n: it's 2am so i'm striking with another update lmao đ is2g after i'm done with this event you guys will be throwing up at the slightest mention of a heeseung drabble
Stopping dead in his tracks, Heeseung looks at you with confusion. He's just come back from work only to see your curled up posture on the couch, one that you have once claimed to hate sleeping on, which makes him wonder if he did anything to annoy you to such degree today. Silently, he runs over every little thing he's said to you, considering how or why could they make you so angry that you didn't want to sleep with him tonight.
He gives up eventually and walks up to you with a sigh. His tall figure steps in front of you, disturbing you from watching the newest episode of your favorite tv show. You peek up at him from above the blanket covering you from your feet all the way up to your nose.
"Oh, you're back!' You gasp happily, dropping the blanket down to stretch your arms out in a form of a hug invitation.
There's not even the slightest tint of anger in your voice which slightly calms Heeseung's nerves. He plops down next to you, instantly wrapping his arms around your smaller body.
Then he asks, clearly still bothered. "Why don't you wanna sleep with me tonight? Your back is gonna hurt from the couch again."
You internally coo at his worried face, big deer eyes peering at you with confusion. You smile sheepishly.
"There's a spider in our bedroom."
A spider. In our bedroom. It takes him couple seconds to even process your words properly. All of the tension leaves his body like air from a pierced balloon and he groans, pinching the bridge of his nose in between his fingers.
"And here I was worrying that I said something wrong or shit," he sighs, glancing at your pleading face from the corner of his eyes. He sighs again. "Fine. I'll be right back."
"Just don't kill it!" You call after him, pulling your knees up to your chest. "Catch it and let it out, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. I know," he dismisses you with a wave of his hand before disappearing behind the wall.
You wait patiently for him to come back, wiggling your feet happily as you realize you'll actually be able to fall sleep tonight without having to stress about this little anomaly.
"There's no spider in here, YN!"
Your blood runs cold. What does he mean no spider. It was there half an hour ago, carelessly dangling from your ceiling right above your pillow.
You're still stiff when Heeseung comes back from the bedroom and crouches down in front of you. Placing his hands on your knees and squeezing them gently, he brings your attention back to him.
"You sure you didn't imagine it?"
His question has you scoffing and you cross your arms over your chest. "Yes, I'm sure," you say, squinting your eyes at him. He only rolls his own pair at your dramatic behavior. "Have you really checked everywhere?"
"Every single corner," he assures, placing his palm on his chest, right where the heart beats underneath his skin. "I promise it's not there. Must've ran away or something."
You stubbornly shake your head. "I'm not going anywhere. Heeseung, there's a beast roaming around our bedroom somewhere."
"Lord, give me patience," he murmurs quietly, deflating underneath your hard expression again. "Love, just please, come to bed," he groans, slowly giving up on the idea of actually getting any sleep tonight. He drops his head down on your lap. "I swear it won't come near you, alright? I'll tuck you in so tightly that it won't even find a place to slip underneath the covers."
You sigh, grabbing his hand hopefully. "You promise?"
He raises back to his feet, leaning down to press a kiss on your pouty lips. "I promise."
He lets out an internal cheer when you finally nod your head. Heeseung pecks your lips again, then repeats the gesture a little more fervently couple more times before slipping an arm underneath your knees and throwing you over his shoulder. He smacks your butt gently, earning an annoyed combo of a groan and a click of your tongue from you.
"Now, let's finally go to bed. I swear I haven't had a good night's sleep ever since I met you."

hiii, i've been thinking for Fluffy Friday - Hobie walking gn!reader to their bus stop after a concert and giving them his jacket
like it's late, and they're both tired from all the jumping in the pit and he's making sure they won't freeze on their way home. just Hobie being both punk and a gentleman <3
hope you're having a good day!!
Thank you for requesting! Hope you like it â¤ď¸
Pairing: Hobie Brown x gn! Reader/ Spider-Punk x gn! Reader
Tags: No use of Y/N, no specific physical description of the reader, love struck Hobie, FLUFF
It's fluffy Friday!
Ęâ ¡â á´Ľâ ¡â Ę
You're freezing your ass off waiting for the bus, you try to hide it from Hobie though; slyly rubbing your arms, trying to get rid of the goosebumps. You absolutely regret not bringing a thicker jacket with you. Your tired body doesn't help, legs tired from jumping up and down, cursing the government for taking out benches on bus stops.
Hobie stops mid sentence, too engrossed in the conversation, he just noticed how your lips slightly quiver in the cold, arms crossed on your chest, trying to act nonchalant.
"âYou want my jacket?" Hobie's already taking off his leather jacket.
"No, you'll get cold" you try to stop him, hands on the leather, pushing it back towards him.
"I run warm, love. You need it more" He says softly as he drapes it over your shoulder, helping you put your arms inside the jacket. You don't protest more, savoring the warmth provided. Already giddy when you realize you smell like him now. "Better?" Hobie rubs your arms, adding extra warmth.
"Yeah, better. Thank you" you sigh into his touch, smile soft, eyes staring at him with so much fondness, you take his breath away. A lopsided smile appears on his lips, he's sure you're doing it on purpose just to see him all flustered.
He lets you win, chuckling as he hides his face on the crook of your neck, using the excuse that he's hugging you goodbye. You embrace him back, warming him up instantly.
"You're cold already" You whisper it to him like a secret, kneading the tired muscles on his back.
The bus arrives, saving Hobie from your horrid (affectionate) acts. The doors hisses open, you reluctantly let him go, Hobie holds you at arms length, cupping your face in his hand, admiring how the fluorescent lights from the bus highlights your face. He etches the memory deep inside his mind, memorizing how clouds puff out of your slightly parted lips, eyebrows relaxed, doe eyes gazing at him with longing.
You're not the only one who has that expression. Hobie mirrors yours, except for the content smile on his lips. The bus honks, ruining the moment.
"I've gotta go" you don't want to leave though, but your eyes are already protesting, lids growing heavy every minute.
Hobie scans the bus for any creeps that might cause you trouble. He finds none, only you and the bus driver will be inside.
"You sure you don't want me to come with you?" He asks with concern, it is really late for you to travel alone.
You slowly walk towards the bus, fingers laced with Hobie's. "You live on the other side of town" laughing, finally letting him go. You feel cold already. "I'll call you when I get home, okay?" Trying to reassure him.
"Yeah," he nods, watching you get on the bus. "Drive safely, mate" Hobie addresses the driver. The driver wordlessly gives him a nod.
Sitting down on the plastic seats, you watch as Hobie gets smaller and smaller as the bus drives away. Laying your head on the window, you smile at how much you had fun today, especially spending it with Hobie. Giddily wrapping his leather jacket closer to your torso. You've been dating him for a couple of months now, and you're loving every second of it. You probably look like a maniac to the bus driver, all smiley and giggling at nothing.
Distracted, your face almost hits the seat in front of you when the bus suddenly lurches to a stop. You look out of the window in confusion.
"Sorry 'bout that" Hobie's familiar voice talks to the driver. Are you that tired that you're suddenly hearing his voice? Or do you just fancy him that much?
Peeking down the aisle, sure enough you see Hobie sauntering over to you, a goofy smile on his face.
Your mouth agape, you fumble with your words. "Whatâhow? You'reâ"
"I ran" He doesn't look like he ran to catch up with the bus, a running bus mind you. How in the world?â
Hobie gestures for the seat next to you, without warning, the bus suddenly moves again, you reach for his arms so he doesn't get thrown about. Guiding him down the seat, he gives you an appreciative smile.
"What are you doing here?" You ask, voice lowering so you don't anger the driver with the noise.
"I don't know, actually" he looked serious when he said those words.
You laugh from the belly, head thumping on his chest. He laughs a few seconds after you, finding your giggling contagious. His hands on the back of your neck, you feel how cold his palms are. "Oh I think I know" you say with a smirk, a hint of shyness peeking in.
"I'm not trying to sleep over at your placeâ"
"And here I thought you wanted me to make you a cup of tea" you warm his cold arms. "So this isn't a ruse to stay the night?"
"I think i just wanted to make sure you got home" he clears his throat, trying to sound nonchalant.
"All these spikes and you're actually a softie, huh?" You fix his windblown eyebrow. "How are you gonna get home now?"
"That's for me to figure out later" Hobie tilts his head, leaning to your touch.
"Okay," you lay your head on his shoulder. "Thank you for staying with me" holding his cold hand, you place a chaste kiss on his cheek.
"It's nothin'" He loops his arm over your shoulder. Cheek right next to your temple, Hobie practically melts. Comfortable in your arms, you feel the same, resting your eyes, squeezing his hand lightly.
You mentally scoff at the idea of letting Hobie walk in the dark especially in this temperature. You're already planning what tea to brew for him when you get home.

Lena, the Werewolf
Monster x human reader (pt 1)
Mostly safe for work(nudity, depictions of a strap on), but trigger warning for domestic abuse.
Escaping a bad situation leads you to the small town of Denizen, where the people are hiding more secrets than just a beautiful state park. It's here that you meet Lena, the best bartender you've ever met.
(I'd also like to shout out @momolady , as this piece was inspired by characters in her Hearthway Hollow section)
"Finally away. Finally, I've gotten away." That's all I can think, as I speed down the road. As I wipe the last of the tears from my eyes, I try to control my breathing. Fortunately, I haven't passed any hidden police cars. The way I was driving, I would have been pulled over, for sure. Then again, maybe cops who didn't know my ex would take me seriously.
With clearer eyes, I catch sight of a speed limit sign. I slow down to match the thirty mile per hour limit. I figure that I must be getting close to a town. I'm not even sure where I am, right now. I just ran out of my apartment, got in my truck, and sped off. I didn't even have time to grab clothes, this time. He was so mad... I couldn't stay there. I can only imagine the state that my apartment's in, now. Caleb probably tossed the place and broke all my stuff. It's probably for the best that the majority of my most prized possessions are at my parents' house. But I definitely won't have my computer or a lot of the pictures I had hanging on my walls, when I go back. I shiver at the thought of him still punching holes in my kitchen.
I'm shaken from my thoughts, when I pass a sign. It says, "Welcome to Denizen. Home of Nethermoore State Park." The green of the basic road sign stands out against the fall colors painting the woods around me, making it hard to miss. I don't think I've ever heard of this town, let alone the park. Coming around the corner and over a small bridge, I'm met with a quaint town. Right away, I can identify a coffee shop, hardware store, gas station, grocery store, and a bar, most importantly. The lights on the street have hanging baskets decorated in autumn fashion, with fake, orange leaves and little pumpkins. There's not a stop light, even on the main road. This place is so much smaller than Stillwater.
I pull my truck into a space next to The Raven bar and grill. It stands out pretty well and has a very charming look to it, as it seems it's designed to look like a log cabin. When I park, I notice an older man leaning against the wall, smoking a cigarette. He looks at my truck, before looking in at me. Then, he just looks away, taking a drag. Now parked, I take the chance to look at my phone. Fifteen missed calls, fifteen voicemails, and fifty-seven unread messages, all from Caleb. However, there are also a couple texts from my mom, wondering where I am and if I'm alright. Caleb must have called her to see if I was hiding with her and Dad, again. Hiding there didn't go well, the last time, though. He almost fought my dad to get to me. I'm pretty sure he'd do far worse, this time.
I send her back, "I'm alright, Mom. He's upset, because I finally told him that we're over and that I'm going to be moving out of my apartment and away from him, as soon as I can. It's finally going to be over. I'm going to be staying the night, out of town, but I'll stop by after I go collect my things, tomorrow." I watch the text bubble for "someone is typing" dance for a moment, before her reply pops up. She tells me that she loves me and that she's proud of me for finally leaving him. She tells me to stay safe and that she'll see me, tomorrow.
I store my phone back in my pocket and hop out of the truck. I hadn't gotten the chance to eat the dinner I'd made, and now I'm getting hungry. The smoker looks me up and down and nods at me, but gets a bit of a concerned look on his face.
"You alright, Miss?" he asks.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, just getting through a bit of a rough patch. I'll be fine," I reply.
"Well, this would be the place to help with rough patches," he says, pointing his thumb over his shoulder at The Raven. "But this is also pretty good and you look like you could use it." He fishes a tissue out of the pocket of his jean jacket and hands it to me. I take it and wipe the last of the moisture from my eyes and wipe my nose up, thanking him.
"No problem, miss. I'm Elijah, by the way. I own the grocery, next door, if you need anything, while you're here." Elijah smiles, kindly. He reminds me of my dad, in a way; sturdy build with dark hair and kind eyes. He's the kind of friendly that makes you feel calm.
"Also, miss, and not to pry on your business, but what brings you to town? Camping out the rough patch in the park or you just come for the pour?" he jokes, taking another drag from his cig.
"Oh, I'm YN. YN Green, and I'm just passing though. Needed to get away, for the night, and kinda ended up here by accident," I reply.
He chuckles to himself and replies, "Well, Ms. Green, if you believe the old folktales, no one ends up in Denizen by accident. Always something to find. Anyways, I'll let you get to finding what you need." I nod and thank him for the help. He nods back with a smile.
When I walk into the bar, a few people glance over at me. The place is warmly lit with hunting and sports decor all over the walls, ranging from old Wild jerseys and a gigantic, framed picture of the old Metrodome to mounted deer and fish. There are a couple TVs, too. All are silent, except for the one displaying a channel for the music playing over the speakers. Many of the tables are full, but I find a small one tucked in the back. The black chair I sit in has a little duct taped patch on it. The sound of bar chatter and 90s country is almost foreign.
Then, an older woman in a black t-shirt with the bar's logo walks over with a laminated menu. "Welcome to The Raven. Can I get you started with anything to drink?"
"Just a water, please," I say with a smile. She studies my face for a moment as she hands me the menu.
"Alright, I'll bring that right over," she says in a cheery tone. I look down at the menu. Burgers and sandwiches line both sides of the menu, with sections for appetizers and daily specials. Today, it's fish fry, like many Midwestern places do on Fridays.
Looking up from the menu, I take another look around. This place is different from my usual hang outs, but not in an uncomfortable way. Certainly, just... different. My eyes stop at the bar, where I notice one of the bartenders is looking at me. She glances down as she hands a customer a beer, but her eyes come back to me. Her short, brown hair is pulled back into a paintbrush of a ponytail, showing off her undercut. Her face is soft, but with a strong jawline. She looks athletic and like she enjoys her time at the gym. I'd bet she could open any jar of pickles she set her mind to.
The waitress comes back over and sets my water down. "Know what you're having, tonight?" I look from her to the menu and order the fish - three pieces with waffle fries, and I ask her to hold the side of coleslaw. She scribbles it all down and nods, taking my menu. "Thank you much. That'll be out in a bit." I nod and try looking back at the bar, but the woman is gone, pry helping someone at a different corner of the bar or checking in with the kitchen. Elijah walks in and takes a seat at the bar, giving me a wave when he sees me.
I pull my buzzing phone back out. Caleb's latest text says, "Where the fuck are you? You need to come back here and take back what you said. We're not over and you better be prepared to apologize, you fucking bitch." My eyes start to water, so I just swipe the notifications away. I open my phone and message my landlord about the situation. A friend of my dad, Mark has been working with me to document everything that's happened and get me out. He wishes he could just move me to his other property, but it's all occupied. With Caleb and I both on the lease, though, he's making sure that all charges for damages and fees for breaking the lease are going to him. He thanks me for the info and says he's going to go over and give him his thirty day notice. I thank him and set my phone down, again.
The waitress comes back over, but not with food. She hands me a glass with what looks like a kiddie cocktail in it.
"I didn't order a drink," I tell her. She lets out a little chuckle.
"No, but someone sent it over. Lena makes a mean Malibu Shirley." I glance over at the bar where the bartender, Lena, is looking at me, again, while she stands by Elijah, who's giving me a toothy grin and doing a goofy, finger twiddle wave. I smile at him, mouth a 'thank you', and thank the waitress. She smiles and walks off, again, towards a table of older folks having a rather jovial night. I take a sip of my drink. Sweet and fruity, not too strong. It would be great blended, on a hot summer day.
As the night winds on, I eat my dinner and stare at my phone, trying to find a local hotel. There's a motel at the edge of the state park, but it says that it doesn't have vacancy. The next closest one is forty-five minutes back the way I came. Far too close. I sigh, wishing I hadn't taken my camping gear out of my truck bed. I send messages to Mark and my parents, getting and giving updates about what's all been happening. Apparently, Mark took the police chief with him, to deliver the papers, and Caleb was detained, after they discovered all the damage. I still don't feel safe enough to go home.
Elijah came and went, telling me to have a good night. I order a few more Shirleys, as the night goes on. The waitress, LouAnne, gives me a polite smile, every time she stops at the table. I think I only heard her raise her voice, once, and it was to tell this old drunk he had to go home. Lena kept looking over at me, but I haven't seen her for a bit. I get lost in my search for a place to stay the night and the warm comfort of coconut rum.
Suddenly, the chair on the opposite side of the table slides out and the bartender takes a seat. "I'd ask if this seat was taken, but I don't think I've seen anyone use it, since you came in. Plus, it's getting close to closing time and I doubt anyones gonna come in just to snatch it," she jokes. "I'm Lena." She's even prettier, up close. I notice the little freckles on her cheeks and the crescent moons on her ear piercings.
"Yeah, the waitress told me your name. You're the bartender that likes to stare," I joke back. Her cheeks turn pink, but she laughs along, shoulders shanking. Her eyes are soft. They're green, like walking through a spring forest. "I'm YN." We shake hands and I can feel just how strong they really are.
"Yeah, ol' Eli told me about you. Said you blew in out of nowhere. He also said you might need a place for the night, and considering you've had a few more of my Shirleys than just the one I sent over, I'm gonna guess a ride somewhere, too." I feel my mouth fall open, ever so slightly. She sent it? Probably just trying to be nice, I suppose.
"You sent it? I thought Elijah did, cuz he saw me when I got here, so I thought he was just trying to help me feel better," I tell her. Her face gets a bit more serious.
"Yeah, I did. Elijah mentioned that you looked a little worse for wear, when you pulled up. Everything ok?" she asks, leaning in and resting her forearms on the table. I feel tears fighting to come out, but I hold myself together. Between the stress and liquor, it's a real battle. The crack in my voice, however is a different story.
Telling her, "I'm fine, just some stuff with my b... My ex." I have to correct myself. He's not my boyfriend, anymore. There's a slight shift in Lena's expression, but it passes quickly. "He's just being a jerk cuz I told him to get lost. But then I got lost and ended up here. Funny how that works." I know I'm rambling, but the words are hard to stop. Her face softens as her eyes scan me. She looks so amused.
"You're a little drunk, aren't you?" Not a question.
"Yes, ma'am. And youuuu started it." I point a finger gun at her and giggle. "You make a good drink." Lena smiles and lets out a soft chuckle.
"I'm flattered," she says, mockingly, placing her finger tips against her chest. Then her tone turns to the edge of flirtatiousness. "It's not every day I get such praise from such a pretty girl." I'm praying that the flush from the alcohol hides my blush.
"I, um... Thanks," I squeak out, causing her to throw her head back with laughter.
"God, that was adorable," she wheezes, trying to compose herself. Pretty, now adorable? I'm not even sure what to truly say, in response. "Ok, ok. Real talk. Eli said you were pry in need of a place to stay the night. Not to be presuming anything, but I've got a spot at my place. I have my basement listed as an Air BnB, and it's open, at the moment. Since it's just the night and short notice, you can just crash down there, if you need. If you found a spot, that's cool, too, but I just want to make sure you get where you're headed, safely." She sounds genuine about the offer. I didn't find a place and I didn't even think to check that site, with it being such late notice.
"Uh... Yeah, that would work for me, if it's not too much trouble. I promise I'll pay you back." Lena puts up a hand and shakes her head
"No need. I'm offering. Now, I get done in thirty, so just hang here, while I finish cleaning up and clocking out," she says. And that's what I do. I sit with my, now, almost dead phone and watch her work. She wipes down the bar and washes her mats, before mopping and taking out the trash. She lifts the large bag like it's nothing and I have to push a thought out of my mind, when I realize that I rocked my hips on the chair. She looks back at me, for a moment, before leaving the room, a strange look in her eyes.
When she and the cook lock up, I head to my truck for my charger and travel toothbrush. I expect her to head for a car, but she just starts walking. I try asking her about it, but she says she lives only a bit down the road and that she just walks.
"Do you want to just drive my truck?" I ask. I'd feel better not leaving it here, if I don't have to." She agrees and we hop in. Lena adjusts the seat back and tilts the mirrors. She rolls the windows down, too, letting the chilly, fresh smelling air in. Then, in no time at all, we pull into the long driveway of a gorgeous two story house. She parks my truck and we hop out.
"Hey there, Toasty," Lena babbles after pushing the door open. She looks back at me with an uncomfortable face. "You don't mind dogs, right?" Then, before I register it, we're both surprised by a very happy Staffordshire terrier bouncing out of the door and jumping up to sniff and lick at my face and hands, letting out a few barks. I laugh at the excitable dog and scratch his ears.
"I love dogs!" I laugh, as the dog sits for pets. "Is this good boy yours?"
"Yeah, he's my buddy." Lena leans down and pats his side. Then, he runs into the yard to do his business, before coming back to us. "Alright, in." He follows her command, trotting back through the door and we both follow.
Lena's home is beautiful. She has many different potted plants in her windows, a spacious living room, and a kitchen that would make my mom jealous. She gives me a small tour, only pointing upstairs to tell me she sleeps up there, before taking me to the basement. It's finished and she's set up a second entertainment area with a TV and an Xbox 360. I even spot some old guitar controllers, in the corner. There's a full bathroom and a bedroom, in the far corner with a nice bed already made up.
"I know you said it's alright, but I'm definitely paying you back for this. This is really too kind." Lena just shakes her head.
"Not happening," she replies, crossing her arms.
"You can't stop me from trying," I say, crossing my own arms and smirking. Her brow creases as she lets out a light snort. Lena takes a couple steps towards me and I feel the wall on my back. I stare into her eyes and am surprised that I don't feel the same way Caleb made me feel, when he would corner me. This time, I can feel my heart racing in places besides my chest. I see Lena's eyes dilate, as if she can tell that that's what she was doing to me, too.
She places her right hand above me and says in a low tone, "I can't stop you, YN, but I can certainly do my best to make you too flustered to keep trying." I can smell her sweet and musky perfume. Her eyes have the same amused look that they had, at the bar. She's playing with me, like I'm a toy. I've never flirted with another girl, like this. Sure, I kissed a few friends, in college, but I never really took the chance to pursue anything further. It was all just in good fun, but this? This is different. And so much more exciting.
"And just how would you do that?" I look at her chest as I trail a finger along her collar, before looking back up at her. I see her breath hitch as she takes in my response. Then, she gets more serious, an almost worried look in her eyes.
"You really want to do this? I need you to know that I didn't bring you here for anything funny and that, if you're just playing, I understand. I'm not the kind of person to just bring anyone home, especially not drunk girls. I'm... not the type for one night stands," she says, searching my eyes. Wouldn't this just be one night, though? I mean, I don't think I want it to be, but isn't that how it has to go? I just left Caleb. I can't just start in with a new partner, the same night. Then again, I haven't so much as kissed him, in over three months, and with everything he's done, I think I'm ready for someone who wants me.
I look Lena in the eyes, then down to her lips. They're thin and I can tell that she bites them, but they draw my attention in a supernatural way. I want to see more of her. I want her. Looking back up and meeting her eyes, I can almost see sweat forming on her brow, in anticipation of my answer.
I place my hands on either side of her face and let out a steady breath. "My brain has been so fried, this evening, Lena, but if there's anything that I know for certain, it's that I don't think I'd ever forgive myself if I didn't take this chance. I want this and I want you." Her eyes light up and I don't think she really knows what else to do, besides stare at me and bring a hand to my cheek. Her mouth is trying to form words, but nothing comes out. I let out a small chuckle, before leaning in just a little, glancing down at her lips, again. This time, she takes the initiative and kisses me, hungrily. My hands find each other, interlocking my fingers behind her neck. Her right hand, remains on the wall, while her left takes hold of my waist, pulling my body to hers.
"Fuck, your lips taste good," Lena growls. She tastes like peppermint and vanilla chapstick. I can feel my body turning on for the first time in ages, as she kisses me. She rolls her hips against mine and I begin to notice a firm object being ground against me. In my head, I let out a long "fuck." Lena hard packs. She's a butch who hard packs. I moan against her lips, grinding my hips to match hers.
"You're sure about this, YN?" Lena pants in my ear, huskily.
"All bark and no bite, huh?" I goad, trying to control my breathing as I plant a soft kiss on this woman's neck. She lets out a noise somewhere between a low growl and a chuckle, before latching into the side of my neck. Her teeth press against my skin and I can't hold back from moaning, which only seems to encourage her. She hungrily licks and sucks at my neck and I have to push her away, before she leaves a mark.
"Not there, just yet," I whine. "I want it there, but no visible ones, yet." She nods, a hungry look in her eye, as she realizes that this means she will have access to the rest of my body to leave marks on. She licks her lips as she looks me over.
"Fair enough." With a quick movement of her hands, I'm lifted off of my feet. I wrap my legs around her middle as her strong hands caress my thighs. "Then let's take this to my room, huh?" She gives a toothy smirk as she begins to effortlessly carry me up the two flights of stairs.
"God, you're strong," I tell her, making her smile.
"I have a very active lifestyle. When I'm not at the bar, I'm either in the gym or on the trails. And I work at the trail head, for the nature center. They have me split firewood, for the campers at the state park." I get a mental image of Lena all sweaty, wearing a wife pleaser and jeans, with an ax over her shoulder. She hums out a teasing tone, when she feels my muscles clench at the thought. One hand slides further up my ass and gives me a little squeeze, as we get to the second set of stairs. "I felt that, cutie."
I mutter into her neck, "Well, I could feel your strap, when you were grinding on me, so I guess we're even."
"You can do a lot more than feel it through my pants, if you want," she growls in my ear. When we get to the top of the stairs, I feel a wet nose touch my ankle. Toasty is looking at us, happy for company. Lena sets me down and gives his head a pat. "Sorry, buddy. You're going to have to sleep in the living room, tonight." He cocks his head, but trots down the stairs, when Lena tells him to go on.
Lena's room is spacious with a couple of dressers, thier tops covered in little knick knacks, a large book case with books ranging from older hardcovers to more contemporary, and a comfy looking king-sized bed with a maroon comforter on it and a large walnut chest at the foot of it. I excuse myself to her bathroom, for a second. I set my phone on the counter to charge and pull my toothbrush from my pocket. I give myself a quick cleaning and check my neck for a mark. Besides being a little red, I'm ok.
When I come out, Lena is sitting on the bed, looking deep in thought. She gives me a soft smile, when she notices I'm looking at her. I ask her what's wrong and she just gives a little shake of her head.
"I'm trying to figure out the right words, right now..." answers Lena. I give her a confused look and she sighs. "Well, there's... some stuff you need to know, if you're serious about this whole thing. And it's... It's going to be really hard to believe and make me sound insane." She looks almost terrified. I sit next to her and she keeps just looking at the carpet. "I hardly know you, YN... But I really feel a connection that I can't shake."
"I was feeling something similar..." I say. "Back at the bar? I just couldn't stop looking at you. Something in the back of my brain kind of just said 'that is the prettiest, most fascinating person you've ever seen, so you better not stop staring.'" She finally looks at me with a soft smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes..
"I'm... not quite a normal person." I raise an eyebrow at this as she searches for more words. "Well, you how I'm a dog person? Like, how I have Toasty?" I nod. "Well, I'm also a dog-person. With the hyphen, in the middle."
"So... You're a furry? Or is this like a pet-play thing?" I ask, thinking she's just worried about exposing a fetish.
Lena says, voice wavering in a way I would have predicted, "I'm... not entirely... human? I'm... I'm a werewolf." A goddamn werewolf? I turn and just stare at the floor, the same way she had been.
I sigh. "If you didn't really want to have sex with me, you could have just said." She looks shocked.
"I'm being serious!" exclaims Lena. "Want me to show you?" I look back at her and tell her very matter of factly that, yes, if she ever expects me to believe her that she's a werewolf, then I'm going to need proof. Holding eye contact with me, she offered her hands. I watch as they shift from the slightly muscular hands of the butch bartender to a set of furry claws. I jump back, almost falling off the bed. I don't even know what to say.
Lena stares at her hands and replies, "It's a genetic thing, so don't be worried about catching it. This town was made for our kind, a few decades ago. That's why people ask strangers if they're going to the park. It's a total safe zone for us to shift or be in our less-than-human forms. ...I'm sorry, I should have told you, sooner." She can't even look at me. She looks so ashamed. I'm trying to process it all, but nothing is computing, properly.
Slowly, I manage to ask, "Can... Can you always control it, like that, or... you know... Like, does the full moon make you wolf out?"
"I'm in total control, but the pack does get together, during the full moon, for a meeting and other activities. Mostly a midnight run or hunt," Lena explains. I look back down at her hands. They're still the paw-like, furry hands. "February can be a bit hectic, though." She laughs a little at this, but whatever it is goes over my head. Taking everything in, today, must have taken its toll, as this all starts to feel less and less insane. I place my hand on her shoulder and she stiffens.
"I've had... a very rough day, Lena. And I don't know if it's the drinks, the fact I've been so emotionally drained, or the fact that I thought you were a person I was genuinely 100% glad I met, a few minutes ago, but I don't think I care about... any of that," I say, tiredly, gesturing at her claws. She looks up at me, eyes wet with tears she's holding back, like water in a dam.
"You... you really don't mind that I'm..." Her lip quivers and I almost can't help but think it's cute. I give her a soft smile.
"Strangely enough, no." I sigh and replace my hand with my head, resting it on her muscular shoulder. "I just wish you'd saved it for a bit." I can feel her turn her head, a bit. "Not meaning that this was one, but telling a girl you're a werewolf is kind of a second date type thing." Lena bursts out with her hardy laugh, again, wheezing and letting her tears fall. I scoot closer to her and wrap an arm around her waist.
"So... I'll take it you want to keep seeing me?" Lena asks, sniffling and wiping away tears from her eyes and face with her paws.
"Yeah... I want to get to know Lena. But you need to do a couple things, first." She nods, smiling that beautiful smile. "1.) I could use some pajamas, 2.) I want to see your whole body do that, cuz that is so weird and I don't think I'll be able to sleep without seeing how that works, and 3.) you're big spoon." She laughs and leans into me.
She jokes, "Alright, but if you ask me to play fetch, you're sleeping downstairs." I pick my head up and look into her pretty, green eyes. I give her a quick kiss on the cheek and tell her it's a deal. Then, she kisses my forehead and gets up to find me some night time clothes. She hands me a white tank top and a pair of thin, black, cotton pants. As I'm about to excuse myself back to the bathroom, she turns away and pulls her shirt off. She does the same for her sports bar. I can see just how cut she is, now. My eyes linger on her toned back as I set the clothes on her bed. I, similarly, turn away from her, disrobing and watch her out of the corner of my eye, the same way you suspect she is.
As I pull her tank top over my head, I hear the zipper of her jeans come down. I watch with anticipation as Lena slides them over her hips, exposing her red boxers and the straps of the mount she's wearing underneath it. She tosses the jeans onto a chair that seems to house a few articles of "I'll wear those again" clothes as I finish pulling on the pair of pants. She digs in her dresser and pulls out a gray t-shirt and blue, flannel shorts. She casually brings them over to her bed and sets them down, all the while she's smirking, I know she saw my ogling her chest.
"You can look, YN. Wolves are pretty open about their bodies. Can't quite shift well in your clothes and expect them to be in decent shape, after." My eyes are scanning her body and I can practically feel my brain kicking me for not just telling her to shut up and fuck me, after I got out of the bathroom. Her tits are great and the outline of her strap is just... Ugh... "Also... I can smell every time you've been turned on, tonight. Glad I waited for you to be looking, when I did the trash." She winks as my face flushes bright red.
Then, moment of truth, she slides her boxers off. Her mounted dildo springs up from her thigh - dark blue and purple, large, and in a very uncommon shape. Of course the werewolf lesbian has a Bad Dragon. I make a mental note to look for the model, in the morning. Unfortunately, I don't get to enjoy it, before she slides the toy from her hips and puts it in the chest with what looks like more of her gear. Now I can see her well groomed bush. And she's about to get more hairy.
Lena looks at me, nervously, as she steps back to the center of her room, stark naked and asks, "You're ready for this?" I nod, sitting sideways on her bed. I take a deep breath as I watch her. She groans as her body shifts and elongates, growing hairier and more monstrous. I feel my body start to shake with fear, but I don't look away. Her kind eyes change to add tones of rich amber to the forest green. Her chestnut hair covers her body, changing to gray in many places. She's so much taller than me, now. And she has a tail! She looks straight out of a movie. Twilight, eat your heart out.
As I try to speak, Lena rasps out, "There's more." Then, she begins to shrink onto all fours, hands becoming paws, broad chest slimming, and cut muscles becoming less and less defined as a wolf, unrecognizable from any other, now stands in Lena's bedroom. She pads over to me and looks up with the saddest puppy eyes I ever saw, laying her head in my lap. She can definitely feel me still shaking, because she lets out a sad whine. I don't suppose she can talk, like this.
Carefully, I set my hand on her head and her tail starts to wag, ever so slightly. I pet her coarse, yet still fluffy, fur. She's like the husky my friend had, when we were kids. She lets out another whine, looking at me expectantly, but I just stare back. I think to scratch behind her ears and she seems to enjoy it, but shakes her head and takes a step back. I watch as she shifts back, groaning and growing more and more nude, until she's just plain, naked Lena.
"I forget that you can't understand me, like that." Lena walks back around the bed and hikes her boxers back up. She comes back around, pulling her shirt on and squats in front of me. "Are you alright? I know that seeing that is a lot, the first time." I put my hand back on her head and just play with her hair. She sighs and stands up, crawling onto the bed and pacing herself at the center. Her arms are open and she motions for me to come closer. I do, sitting between her legs as she wraps me in a warm hug. She sways and hums one of the songs that had been playing at the bar. I hardly even register it, when I start to cry. It feels like my body is just all of a sudden racked with sobs as I cry against her.
"It's alright, YN. It's going to be alright. I've got you." Three little words to make you feel at home. Two strong arms to hold you together. Lena feels like the one person in the whole world with both, and she is, right now. "I don't know what all you're going through, right now, or how much I've just added to all of the things on your mind, but I'm right here, for you, YN. I'm right here." She continues swaying and rocking me until I can't cry anymore. She wipes my teary face either thumbs and holds my cheeks in her hands, until I look at her.
"That's it. It's going to be ok. Want me to grab you some tissues? There's a box right over there." She jerks her head over to her right. I nod and she leans back, stretching out. She comes back with a small box of Kleenex and I take one, blowing my nose, loudly. She rubs my back and just sits, patiently waiting. After a few more tissues and a few more lingering hiccups of sobs, I'm left puffy-eyed and all cried out, leaning into Lena's warm hug.
"I think it's time to get some rest. We'll figure this out, in the morning, alright?" Lena softly asks. I nod against her chest. She scoots back, leading me with her hand, as I crawl behind her. "Ok. Let's just scoot back, here, and get comfortable and we can fall asleep, when you're ready. Come here." She pulls back the comforter and tosses the decorative pillows off the end of the bed. Lena, then, pulls the covers over both of our laps, as I lean into her, finding comfort in her warmth.
"Lena?" I whimper, trying to find my voice.
"Yeah?"
"This is all real, right now?"
"I'm afraid it is." I nod. "Is there anything I can do for you, YN? Anything at all that would help you though this?" She sounds so sincere, almost pleading.
"Just... Don't... Don't let me go. Okay? Promise me that."
Lena's face softens and she kisses me on the top of my head. "YN, when I said that thing about not doing one night stands, I meant it. There's nothing set in stone, but I trust my instincts and they're completely drawn to you. Wolves mate for life."
"I know this sounds weird, but haven't you had partners, before? You seem so confident and practiced." She laughs through her nose.
"I've had a few standing partners, but those relationships were for mutual physical needs. I'm twenty-seven and it's a bitch to be as horny as wolves can get, without having an outlet. Mostly women, but one was nonbinary," Lena explains, gently, rubbing my arm with her thumb.
"Men, but mostly because I was unsure. Looking at you... I don't know, it was just different." She nods along.
"It can feel like that, sometimes. And it's ok to feel unsure." Lena rests her chin in my head. "Also, and I hate to do this, but I'm going to run downstairs and let Toasty out, for just a second. I'll be right back, ok?"
I nod and reply, "Yeah, go ahead." She kisses the top of my head, before slipping out of the bed, putting on her shorts, and telling me she'll be right back, before disappearing out the door. I head to the bathroom, myself, while she's gone. Checking my phone once more, finding nothing but random notifications, before grabbing it and plugging it in next to the bed, for the night. I swipe away all of the notifications for calls and texts from Caleb, the fear of that whole situation feeling like a distant memory. I take a chance to look at his messages, all the same as they've been during previous fights. I know I have to go back to my apartment, tomorrow, to assess the damage.
When I hear Lena coming back up the stairs I shut my phone off and set it back down. She flicks the light off and climbs back into her bed to snuggle up to me.
"Can I ask one more big favor?" I ask.
"Anything."
"Can I come back, tomorrow? Stay a while?"
"Nothing would make me happier. Stay as long as you'd like. Preferably forever, but..." she jokes. I laugh and that makes her smile. "Aww, there's that cute laugh. ...Alright, now. It's been a long day and it's getting really late. We'll get you all settled, tomorrow. I already told Vix, that I'm not going to be in, tomorrow, anyways." Lena holds me close as she prepares to fall asleep. With the weight of everything, both being away from Caleb and from everything since I entered Lena's house, I fall asleep almost immediately. I barely make out Lena's, "Goodnight, YN," as I fade into the darkness of sleep, dreamless and safe.

Well.
I guess I'm doing this...collection of observations from the autiomaa mv (i'm not going to call it an analysis) tonight after all đ
So the mv starting out with a really short flash of the tear-illusion shot, then some short bursts of him in 2 locations in the mv, followed by a longer pan on a cracking facade...
The light effects on the wall look like being under water, which also kind of replicated by the fabric of his coat.
The following couple of scenes establish where he is - aimlessly wandering in some abandoned house - we zoom in intensely, almost uncomfortably close to his neck and eyes - he's making almost pleading eye-contact. He is wandering further, through the house, arriving at and entering
A staircase through a door, which closes after him.
To me, this signifies his decision to enter esc. The staircase can take you upwards - maybe signified by the lighted glass wall above. But what we see is not him confidently walking upstairs but being caught in that hallway, traveling up and down the stairs. He hasn't reached the upper floor and is caught in limbo. Alone with himself.
The therapist scene starts. He slinks in, hunched, making himself smaller than he is, drowning in his clothes. The session also takes place in a warehouse but it's set up in a way that it might as well be an interrogation.
He is pleading again - spilling everything out in the hope he's understood. However, what we see next is him talking/singing to a mirror image of himself. Either to signify he is talking to himself because the therapist doesn't listen and/or only he himself can truly understand and listen to his problems.
We get the photo scene - that one has been talked about at length
And that flash seems to start a transition in the video from where flashes were mainly used as separating element between shots to actually flashing on him physically and more relentless than before.
He is transversing more rooms and hallways - followed and faced by dozends of flashes from cameras, spotlights follow and corner him - he can't hide or evade.
He keeps traversing hallways and empty rooms but he seems locked inside - restless and defeated at the same time - either visual for his mind that he can't open up about but also very much likely his real life situation not being able to leave the house in peace.
He longingly stares out of the window. This is where i'll stick my neck out and say they deliberately recreated the visual from his Vogue shot in profile. I can only speculate but to me, it's to put something into contrast, either between then and now/after or maybe between outside vs inside. I mean. Look at it:
We see him(?) as a shadow behind the upper floor glass wall in the light - he made it there after all but we/his mind is still watching from below and can't make contact with that person up above.
His dance moves get more and more erratic, a bit like someone waiting and slowly going crazy from it.
Watching the headlines with the therapist seems to upset him. They are projected in stark white and big - because they are important to him, because they are bigger than him or because he is watching his own life happening like a movie but not feeling any of it as real. Others can't relate to it because it's just too uncommon and crazy. He realizes this while looking at his therapist, seeing how could anyone ever get it who hasn't gone through the same thing - he'll not have a chance to get this across.
His dancing gets even more lifeless afterwards - almost swaying in a traumatized manner barely holding himself upright, especially after the therapist proves to be useless and making things worse even. (To me, it's not quite clear what the cigarettes offered by the therapist signify - pharmaceutical drugs/tablets? The only way out is returning to his old vices?)
We end a little like we started - with an intense stare into his eyes. They are not pleading. They know. They see. (They demand better.)
Aaaand that's it for now. (I'm sure there will be one or two ''AND ANOTHER THING!'' but i'd love to hear from you also!!!)
Thanks for listening to my TED talk <3

nights like these
h.yj x fem!reader
genre: fluff!
warnings: none
summary: you and yunjin find yourselves sharing a bed while on tourâŚ
âi'll be fine, as long as you don't steal all the blanket."
"same goes..."
you and yunjin stood side by side, staring apprehensively at the singular double bed in the hotel room. the others had already called dibs on their rooms, leaving the latecomers- you and yunjin- the shared one. their plan of attack almost felt premeditated considering you were only 5 minutes late due to yunjin wanting to take a pit-stop at a cute looking bakery; the smirk on eunchae's face when she informed you two of the bedroom situation contained an unmistakable layer of mischief.
"this is your fault." you felt compelled to add.
"hey what!? i gave you the option to go ahead with the others, but you wanted to buy that cinnamon thing!"
"i felt bad leaving you! and i only bought that thing because i was already inside the bakery."
"like i said, you had a choice. and i literally gave you a creampuff why are you turning on me right now?"
"because i know you're going to steal all the blanket! consider this preemptive frustration."
"i actually think you'll be the blanket thief. no one is this hyperfixated on the blanket before they're underneath it."
"how dare you accuse me of that..." yunjin began to giggle, causing you to break the act and slap her arm playfully. "how about we make a deal. no more blanket-talk...if...you let me have first shower." you suggested hopefully.
"hard pass. i can handle blanket-talk, but i can't handle waiting for the shower."
"fuck, i wish i was sharing a room with chaewon right now."
"you asshole!" yunjin shoved you and you returned the gesture, both giggling like hyperactive children.
---
the evening had rolled around and you were lying victoriously in the bed, hair still a little damp as yunjin showered.
the way you'd settled the shower mishap was through a rock paper scissors match- yunjin was extremely predictable and always chose scissors first, granting you an easy win.
the bed seemed even smaller now that you were in it, which sent a twinge of nerves through your body as you realised how close yunjin would be. it was safe to say you had a crush on the woman: she was gorgeous, funny, talented and so flirty with you. you knew it was just playful, but a small part of you hoped there was something more to her flirtatious behaviour, despite being idols with strict no-dating policies- not to mention the fact that you were both girls.
yunjin emerged from the bathroom, shaking you from your thoughts. "you look cozy." she commented grumpily while towel drying her hair.
"it's actually a really comfy bed. are you sure you can't just sleep on the floor?" you teased, causing yunjin to roll her eyes.
"trust me, i would if there was space. i can't believe i have to be tucked in with your annoying ass."
"likewise! now hurry up, i want to turn off the lights."
"someone's in a rush to snuggle." she winked flirtatiously and you scoffed. "let me dry my hair first." she then proceeded to switch on the hairdryer- you chuckled quietly to yourself as you watched her hair blow wildly around her face.
after a couple of minutes the hairdryer was switched off and yunjin finished tidying her hair before moving towards the bed. instead of climbing in like a normal person, she chose to leap onto you.
"yahh! you're squashing me, get off!" you squealed, thrashing around underneath her.
"but you're so warm!" she replied, squeezing you tighter. you couldn't deny the faint blush that seeped into your cheeks as you felt the woman's heartbeat against your torso. her damp hair brushed your exposed neck and her face tucked into your shoulder, eyelashes fluttering against your bare skin causing you to wince at the ticklish sensation. you reluctantly pushed her off of you, not wanting to admit to enjoying the cuddle.
"turn off the light on your side." you asked softly once yunjin had settled under the blanket, moving to flip the light-switch closest to you. you heard a click and suddenly you were plunged into darkness- your senses heightening due to the lack of visibilty.
you were overly aware of the woman who lay next to you- the faint warmth of her body mingling with yours beneath the blanket. she was on her side, facing you, but you couldn't bring yourself to face her, fearing that if you did, you would crack under the intense intimacy.
"y/n?" yunjin whispered after a moment, the sound causing tingles across your skin.
"what do you want, i'm trying to sleep." you replied, attempting a joke but the words sounded unintentionally soft. you felt her move closer to you and your breath hitched, her limbs were now slightly brushing against yours.
"i can see your eyes open, dummy." she stated with a quiet chuckle. "are you uncomfortable?"
"no, i'm fine."
"you look really tense."
"it's pitch black, how can you possibly deduce that?"
"i can sense it..."
"that's weird." you giggled, but relaxed slightly due to the conversation, mustering the courage to turn your head and glance at her. a slither of light from the curtains illuminated the curves of her face, and her eyes that gazed into your own. you were once again lost for words- her beauty was overwhelming.
"you're definitely uncomfortable." she stated upon finally seeing your face.
"i'm really not!" you retorted, shuffling your entire body to mirror her position.
"then why do you look so nervous?
"do i...?"
"your breathing is uneven and you don't look tired anymore. i'll face the other way if it helps."
you surprised yourself by grabbing her arm to stop her turning. "no!...it's okay." yunjin lay still, also seeming surprised. "i'm just nervous because..." she was gazing at you again, a curious smirk on her face causing the words to catch in your throat.
"because what?" she laughed.
"it...doesn't matter." you retreated under the pressure. "what matters is that i'm not uncomfortable."
"if you say so..." she replied, before doing something unexpected.
you felt her reach for your hand and take it softly, then bring it up to her torso and press it against her warm chest. you felt yourself pass away for a second.
"you feel it?" beneath your hand, yunjin's heart was pounding in her ribcage. "i'm also nervous." her voice was a husky whisper.
your hand rested in place, hers holding it there for a few moments in silence.
"why are you nervous?" you finally asked gently.
yunjin's hand slowly retracted yours from her chest and she intertwined your fingers. "because...i'm lying in bed...with you." there was no teasing smirk on her face anymore, only an unnerving look of earnestness.
you gulped and waited a few moments before responding. "our reasons are similar..."
"god..." she whispered, her eyes fluttering closed for a second before reopening with a conflicted expression. "i shouldn't... you don't understand." she muttered the last part under her breath but you caught it.
"i do understand, yunjin."
"no...no you wouldn't." her eyes squeezed closed again and she sighed in exasperation.
instead of responding, you moved close enough for your bodies to press together and enveloped the woman in an embrace, your arm tucking underneath her torso so that she was held by you.
"y/n." she whispered into your neck, returning your hug even tighter. "i really, really....like you." you felt her plant a tender kiss on the exposed skin of your shoulder and your entire body shuddered. you prayed to god this wasn't a dream and held yunjin as close as possible, as if to prevent the moment from slipping away.
"i really like you as well..." your voice was barely a whisper as your throat felt constricted with emotion.
"please don't change your mind after this..." suddenly yunjin moved away, only to pull you closer- this time connecting your lips. you immediately synchronised the motion of the kiss, returning it with everything you had, returning all those times you wished you could've done this.
yunjin's lips were forceful and needy, as if fuelled by exactly the same source as you. it was a perfect moment: you were stopping to breath, only to rejoin your lips a second later with a passionate desperation. every time your lips reconnected, your adrenaline was reinstalled as yunjin kissed you.
the blanket was forgotten as it slipped off the bed into a heap on the floor.

WARNINGS:swearing, pick me girl, couple fighting, jealousy (duh)
A/N:def gonna make a second part to this but i'm not sure how i wanna go abt it yet.also sorry i haven't published anything in awhile lol i've had lik 0 motivation and i've also just been crazy busy.btw this https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8AtpHeu/ is the everlong meme that is mentioned if you donât know what Iâm talking abt.
𦹠đŚš
I set my lash glue down as I heard the unmistakable ring of an incoming phone call from across the room.knowing i was going out with my friends and my boyfriend and that's what I was getting ready for, I immediately got up from my vanity to grab my phone. 'matty boy' read the caller id.it was strange for matt to be calling me instead of chris but i simply assumed his phone was dead, not thinking much about it.
"hey y/nn, we're outside, you ready?'' Matt spoke into the phone.before i could answer his question i heard faint giggling in the back.due to it sounding like a girls giggle i became more confused.as far as i knew it was just the three boys and me, madi backing out because she was babysitting unfortunately.
"yea i just need to put my lash on but i'll be out in a sec"i answered truthfully. more giggling could be heard, now clearer than before.yes i was curious but chose not to ask anything because i was probably on speaker right now.
"Alright, just take your time, we're not in a rush,"Matt said calmly before I muttered a quick 'mk' and hung up the phone.
stepping out of the house i immediately saw the van waiting for me.speed walking up to it happily.as i got closer to the car i could see the front seat, the one my boyfriend normally sits in, was empty.weird yes but not insane.i mean it's not like he's shackled down to the seat.but once i made it to the door of the car i realized the reality of what was going on.nick sat on the left, chris in the middle and ashley on the right looking up at chris while leaning onto his shoulder. what the fuck was all i thought as i stepped into the car. "hey babe, '' Chris said from the back seat, causing the smaller girl to slowly get off him.
"Oh hi Chris" I said lovingly, not wanting to call him anything but his first name at the sight of him being so touchy with another girl.
"oh yea you know Ashley right y/n '' Matt said as he began to back out of my driveway.of course i knew her.although she was more of the boys friend then mine it was pretty hard to miss her with how obnoxious she was. Nick has told me many times that he's not too fond of her but Chris and Matt seem to have no problem with the girl.
"Hey,"I said with a warm smile on my face while turning around to greet the girl, only receiving a small awkward smile in return.
Once we had finally made it to the restaurant after what felt like forever we all stepped out of the car.chris gave me a small kiss on the cheek now that we were close together. "I missed you, '' the taller boy whispered into my ear, causing me to forget everything I had seen previously.
Ashley and Nick had now taken the lead of our group,Matt in the middle and me and Chris in the back. The order stayed the same as we entered the restaurant and Nick began talking to the seating lady. "yea so party of five- 'who's the fifth? oh yea nevermind' ashley interrupted.not sure how she could forget me when she was on top of my boyfriend a minute ago but ok i guess.
"chris sit with me!" she said like a little kid once the seater brought us to a booth.nick, who now was sitting to her left gave me a look that described how i felt as well.my boyfriend awkwardly obliged and sat with her, leaving me to sit with Matt.which i would have been totally fine with if my boyfriend wasn't sitting directly across from me with another girl.
"wait your seriously gonna eat all of that.'' Ashley said as I began to eat my food.being on top of my boyfriend is one thing but making backhanded comments is another.
if we weren't in public i wouldâve said something as rude as what just came out of her cheaply filled lips but due to the restaurant being packed i decided to be civil "well yea im fuckin hungry"was all i said before turning to nick in order to start a conversation with him.
"Y/nn take a picture of us for the photo dump tomorrow."nick said as he handed me his phone.i nodded slightly as i opened his camera and told them to pose.but of course as soon as the word left my mouth little miss bitch hooked herself onto chris and leaned on his shoulder.
yes i was mad at her for being like this for no apparent reason but i was also upset at chris for not saying anything.he just sat there and posed as well. "ok now we gotta get you guys, Ashley, take the photo since you're like in the middle." nick asked politely
"you sure she won't break the camera?'' Ashley joked as she looked at Nick for approval of her poorly curated joke.
"yea im pretty fuckin sure."the blonde boy replied.
"If that's really a concern of yours then maybe don't turn the camera around"Matt said in my defense.Through all this Chris stayed silent.like his lips were sealed.
For once Ashley didn't say anything, snatching the phone out of my hand. And now since Chris was being weird I decided to piss him off a little.make him feel what i've felt all night.
I put up a small thumbs up and leaned onto Matt's shoulder as my pose.the boy to my right did the same hand movement as we both smiled.I knew he wouldn't take this the wrong way and maybe even would understand why I was doing this.
â§Two days later, Saturday
My thumb repeated the same movement it had been doing for the past 45 minutes.it being late at night and not exactly wanting to talk to my boyfriend due to the way he acted the other night made my night extremely boring.
the next video on my for you page was one i didn't expect to see but the timing was almost perfect.it was a screen recording of the photo dump where the person scrolled until they got to the photos from the other night.the first picture was the one of me and matt and the next one was the one i took.the one where my boyfriend acted the same way he does with me, with another girl.
the video being the everlong meme made it slightly funny in my head but no laugh came out of me.before thinking i sent it to chris and nick.i sent it to nick because i knew he would agree and talk shit with me but i sent it to chris to show him why i haven't been talking to him the past day.why i haven't answered his calls or texts.
Nick's response was what I expected to be honest. 'yea im not inviting her anywhere no more, fuck that bitch' was what he had typed and sent in response to the video.
chris did not respond at all.simply leaving me on read.that hurt more than the other shit he's done recently.not only does he always respond to the videos i send him but one where i'm obviously trying to tell him something important.i glanced up at the time in the corner of my phone.it was only 8:30.too early for me to fall asleep so i simply turned over and continued scrolling.
After about an hour I heard the doorbell ring.assuming it was a stupid kid from down the street due to there being a lot of teens that lived on my road I ignored it.then the bell rang again.I rolled my eyes and became more aware of my surroundings, now being woken up.
âPingâ was all I heard from my phone that was now faces down on my mattress.as I turned it over the first and only notification I had was from my boyfriend, Chris.a text message that simply read âcan you open the door itâs mad cold out hereâ
I sighed deeply as I realized what was going on.stepping out of my warm bed and walking down the stairs in my chilly house.
Once I had made it to the door I left my hand on the knob for a moment before opening it, not exactly sure if I wanted to be face to face with Chris at the moment.but nonetheless I opened it and was met with a sorry looking blue eyed boy.
âHeyâI said quietly due to me still being tired.I didnât exactly know what to say.we almost never got into fights like this, certainly not oneâs where we went more than a day not talking.
âWhy didnât you say anything?âthe boy quickly said, skipping any form of greeting.
âExcuse me?âI responded.I noticed little drops of rain began to form outside as our conversation started.was he seriously blaming me for his bs?
He was struggling to look me in the eyes, something he had never had a problem with in the past.he actually often said he could stare into mine for hours and get lost in them. âWhy didnât you say anything to me, how was I supposed to know you were upset?âhe said now more arrogant hints in his tone.
âOh jeez sorry I thought my boyfriend of 3 years would be able to know that I donât exactly love when some random girl calls me ugly and then hops on top of himâI said in response to his stupid question.
âSheâs not just some girl, sheâs my friend,âhe said rudely.
âGo fuck yourselfâi said weakly, tears welling up in my eyes.now the rain began to hit the ground harder.it was almost as if it was synced up with how i felt.
âWhatâhe whispered
âI said go fuck yourself dip shit, get out of my face, leave me alone,I donât want to see you let alone talk to you right now!âi said now louder.anger and sadness being my main emotions.
âY/n I just donât understand why you're being like this,I get that you donât like what she said and how sheâs on top of me all the time but Iâve told her to stop, what else do you want me to do?âhe said putting his hands up in defense.
âUgh your so stupid, drop her, why is she still your friend, do you have a fucking chemical imbalance in your brain why donât you get that?!âi practically yelled. âI didnât want it to come down to this because I know itâs corny but..me or herâI finished
Very movie-like of me yes but so what.he needs to choose because as long as heâs friends with her I donât want anything to do with him.

CHAPTER 3: Cassiopeia
AO3 | chapter 2 | chapter 4
content warnings/tags: cheating (not on/by ellie); mentions and use of drugs; subtle homophobia; slight discomfort.
notes: hello loves! i'm back with chapter three and it's a bit longer than usual, hope you like it. also, there is a minor OC mention in this one. nothing too much, it's actually such a quick role that i didn't want to waste a character in it, not going to happen often.

"With my back to the shoreline, I dreamt that he drowned"
 â Georgia, Phoebe Bridgers
January 22, 2039 Winter
Dear diary,Â
I've been avoiding Ellie for the last couple weeks since Christmas. The last time I saw her was during New Year's Eve, tried to come talk to me but my mom was there and she had had a couple drinks. I realized it was better for me to not cause any type of scene.
After what she saw on Christmas mama said it'd be better for me if I got closer to Dina since we "have much more in common", of course what she really means is that I should not go anywhere near Ellie. She's also been really trying to set me up with one of Seth's boys, Mike. The older one, I think he's like 18 or 19. I really don't give a shit, I've only been seeing him so she would stop coming to my door late at night to pray for me while I'm asleep.Â
Tonight there's gonna be a community get-together at Tipsy and I know for a fact Ellie is gonna be there. And so will Mike, I guess. God, he's so fucking annoying. I mean, he doesn't actually do anything bad, he's just boring and... shallow.
Anyways, I'm going right now 'cause Cat promised to give me bangs. I bet it's going to look awful and mama's gonna kill me. If it does happen I'll make sure Dina burns this journal.Â

The sun had just set, the sky was not too dark. I grabbed the cake I baked for the community party and filled up Stevie's water bowl before leaving out of the door. As I turned to lock the door behind me, I got scared by a voice.
"What are you doing? Were you leaving?" Mike said, making me jump and almost drop the cake. "I said I was going to pick you up, why were you going by yourself?" He smirked, realizing I got spooked.Â
"I completely forgot, I'm so sorry", I smiled while trying to hide the fact that I wanted to throw the vanilla cake into his face, I absolutely hate getting spooked. I could see his smirk getting wider, he probably realized how distressed I was. And I think he liked it.
"Where 'ma hug at?", Mike tilted his head. I could feel my face twitch as I walked down the steps to my front porch. I looked up and put one arm on his shoulder, hugging him. He was quick to put both his arms around my waist, making me furrow my brows. I'm usually really not a fan of physical touch and Mike was always really touchy. After about two seconds, I pulled away and started walking.Â
The walk to the bar was quick and sorta quiet. He asked to hold hands, saying my hands must feel cold. I said I'm fine and stuffed them in my pocket. The lights on the street were beautiful, taking away my attention from him completely. We then got to my mom, sitting beside Seth. He got up, with a smile.Â
I smiled back, wide and polite, as always. "I baked a vanilla cake, I hope people like it", I uncovered the cake and handed it to Seth, who seemed impressed. "Well, at least I know ma' boy won't be starving anytime in the future", he said with a grin. I could feel my smile getting smaller by the minute. The boy laughed with his dad.
On the other side of the room I could see my friends, all sitting together on the same table. Ellie included. I think Jesse saw me staring because he waved at us, calling us over. I thought if I should wave back but before I could even come to a decision Mike was headed towards them, dragging me along.Â
"Look who's here! I thought you got kidnapped by Santa or something." Dina laughed, elbowing me.Â
"Nah, was just doing an internship as a reindeer, but I'm back in town", I scoffed. Ellie was quiet, sitting on the corner chair. "Hi", I waved to her, reluctant.Â
"Hey", she replied, her voice low. With the slightest of smiles, she points at my fresh bangs and says: "I like the new cut, suits ya' good."Â
I smile and I can see her cheeks get fairly flushed. I open my mouth to respond to the compliment, but get rudely interrupted by Mike: "no shit, you cut your hair?", he's surprised.Â
"You didn't notice the whole walk here?" I knew Mike wasn't exactly the brightest but I never took him for being blind too. He shrugs his shoulders and opens his mouth, trying to find an excuse for his lack of attention. Luckily, Seth calls him over to the kitchen for help, sparring us both with this useless talk. "I'll see ya' ", he says as he walks to his dad. I sat with my friends.
"Not noticing a haircut is a man's worst flaw", Jesse jokes. I roll my eyes and reply: "I really don't give a fuck. Anyone got a beer? Any alcohol? Anything?"
Dina whistles and laughs. "For you?! I'm impressed, look who decided she likes beer now!" Dina always liked to mess with me, especially about the fact that I don't usually drink with them.Â
"Well, I can't always babysit you all", I mock Dina. "Time to return the favor." Dina lifts her hands in the air, so does Jesse. I turn to look at Ellie.
The auburn haired girl sighed and got closer, whispering: "s'okay, I do have something on me but y'all can't tell anyone otherwise we'll all be in trouble!" She gets up and all three of us follow after her.Â
We sneaked out to go Ellie's house, she unlocked her door. "It's a mess, I wasn't expecting to have guests. You wait outside." I leaned against the front door, Dina leaned against Jesse, whispering something in his ear that made him chuckle. Soon after, there she was with a 6 pack of beer. We all walked together, deciding to stop by a creek, as usual.Â
Ellie sat on a rock and I sat by her side, she handed me a beer. Jesse and Dina got a beer each and went to sit further, guess they needed some privacy. I took a sip, trying my best not to make a face. I'm really not used to alcohol. I try to break the cold silence.Â
"So..." I looked up to the sky. "Do you really just keep a 6 pack hidden in your room?"
She chuckled, not saying anything else. Maybe she is mad at me. I would be. But her being mad would mean that it actually meant something, I don't think it did for her. Did it? Do I? Do I mean something for Ellie? Well, maybe now she sees me as a heartless bitch. I take another sip of the beer, thinking about how Ellie completely despises me.Â
"Are you sure you wanna drink it? I know you hate beer." I looked to the side to see Ellie looking at me, smiling sweetly. "I could give ya' something else, if you want, of course." She laughs.Â
"What? Oh, sure" I try to brush it off, as she reaches for something inside her jacket. I watch as she takes a joint and a lighter off her pocket and try to play it cool, even though I've never smoked a cigarette before. She lights it up, gives it a puff and passes it to me. I try to mimic her and end up coughing really hard while she laughs at me.Â
"You've never smoked weed?", she laughs. "I've never smoked anything!", I reply, still coughing like an old man. "Aw shit, if I knew I wouldn't have done this, you should have told me!". She took it off my hand and smoked it again.Â
Ellie blows out the smoke into the sky as I recover. "I can help you if you want", she says with a smirk. I raise an eyebrow, pretending to be innocent. I think I know what she's gonna do, I've seen guys do it in movies. I nod my head yes, "go ahead".
She puts the cigarette between her lips and takes another drag, but holds the smoke this time. She gently cups my face with her hand and slowly gets closer, I open my lips, not sure if I'm just going on with the bit or actually trying to say something. Lightly brushing her lips against mine, she blows out the smoke in my mouth. I closed my eyes and took it, breathing it in, and for a moment I could feel her smile against my lips. She backs away. I can see her rosy cheeks, they match the state of her eyes. She takes another drag to herself, looking the other way. As she turns around I can see the freckles on the back of her shoulder. I look to the sky and back to her, until she notices.
"All good?" Ellie smiles, looking a bit embarrassed. I shake my head.
"Toss your hair to the side", I say. She does so without asking a single question. "Now turn back around."
I take my index finger to meet her back, making her skin shiver. Move it to one side then another, tracing patterns, connecting dots. Constellations.Â
"Cassiopeia." I moved my finger again. "Big Dipper." I moved it once more. "Cepheus". I whispered under my breath, by her neck.
Ellie chuckled. "Are you tracing stars on my back?" She got the weed back to her lips, dragging on it once more. Afterwards, Ellie looked into my eyes, close to her neck. She got close and brushed her freckled nose against mine, shamelessly touching lips and blew out the smoke into my mouth again. Our gazes intertwined and our faces closer than ever when I heard Dina approaching. We both backed away.
"Sorry for bothering you two. Mike's looking for ya'." Dina grinned, shaking her head and walking away. I quickly got up, adjusted my hair and walked away too, without looking back.

hii! you could do a âTaiju x male readerâ idk like Taiju is the super jealous and protective type of guyđđŤśđť
Anything for Taiju! I've said this before and I'll say it again, Taiju is one of my favorite male characters of Tokyo Revengers. So I hope you enjoy this fic cause I know I did lol
(Name) giggled as Taiju picked him up and spun around. "Tai! Put me down!" Taiju just smiled and replied with a short no. They were having a picnic at their favorite park. The black dragon members were spread out surrounding the park in case something were to happen. Especially since apparently (Name)'s ex had be released from jail.
(Name) was honestly worried about leaving the house, when he was informed that (Ex Name) had been released. Especially with how they ended. Which was with Taiju pretty much beating his face in. He was (Name)'s night in red armor. Considering he was in his Leader uniform.
Taiju and (Name) were just goofing around having fun. (Name) was currently thrown over Taiju's shoulder like a sack of potatoes. He laughed each time Taiju pretended to drop him. The gang members smiled at the couple. It was thanks to (Name) that their leader had changed for the better. Taiju's anger had calmed tremendously and he wasn't as violent.
Though the most thankful was Hakkai and Yazuha. They literally cried when Taiju introduced them to (Name). (Name) loved the two younger Shiba siblings. Explaining how he was an only child and always wanted siblings. Everything was going great and everyone was smiling.
"Hey Babe? Can you let me down I need to use the bathroom. Like really bad. I guess I shouldn't have let Hakkai convince me to have that Lemonade drinking contest." Taiju let him down and gave him a short kiss. "Alright you remember where the bathroom is?" (Name) nodded and quickly jogged to the bathroom.
Which was actually quite a bit away from where they were. After doing his business and washing his hands. (Name) left the bathroom and immediately got lost. He huffed looking around and luckily found Inui. Before he could call out to him, he felt a hang grabs wrist. Hard. (Name) turned and paled when he released who it was. It was (Ex Name).
He tried pulling away but wasn't strong enough. He was dragged away from Inui who had taken notice on what was happening. He quickly pulled out his phone and called Taiju who had been looking for (Name). When he was informed on what was going on he immediately ran off. Looking everywhere for (Name).
When he saw them again he saw Inui was standing over a crouched (Ex Name). While (Name) was hiding behind Kokonoi. Now Taiju was glad (Name) was okay. He was just upset how (Name) was surrounded by other men. He quickly made his way over and checked on (Name). Trying to find any injuries.
When he saw how swollen his wrist was he didn't hesitate to stomp on (Ex Name)'s back. "How." He stomped. "Dare." Stomped again. "You." He stomped harder. "Touch Him!" Taiju punches him as hard as he could. (Name) quickly clung to Taiju trying to calm him down. "Tai! Taiju! I'm okay! Koko and Inupi saved me before anything could happen!"
Taiju slowly stood up and picked (Name) up princess style. Making the smaller male squeak. Taiju would've found it adorable I'd the situation was better. "Koko. Inui. You two know what to do." The two males nodded and grabbed the unconscious body and dragged it away from the couple.
Taiju kissed (Name)'s head and started heading back to their blanket. "You know. I'm glad my gang is so protective of you. But I hate how close they are with you." (Name) chuckled and kisses Taiju. "Your the most jealous man I'm around I swear." Taiju stopped and stared at (Name). "You hang around other men?" (Name) face-palmed.

Changes chapter 36
< Previous chapter
Series masterlist
"Have you ever spoken to that girl again?" Shelly asked as she poured herself a drink. She was at Maria's place, a small apartment with only a combined living room and kitchen, a small bedroom, and an even smaller bathroom. It was less than ideal, but the two of them managed to make it work.
Ever since Greg and her had decided to go on a break, Shelly lived at Maria's.
"You mean Julie?"
"Is that her name?" Shelly threw a grape in her mouth, catching it with ease. "I'm bad with names, you know that."
"I know," Maria smiled, "and I did talk to her a couple of time since. Sometimes our shifts overlap."
"Do you think she might know more about this?"
Maria was quiet for a moment, a soft smile on her lips. "You miss Greg."
Shelly nodded.
"I'll give her a call. Maybe we can come over, and you can ask her what you want to know."
"That would be awesome!" Shelly quickly gave Maria a kiss on her cheek before grabbing some more grapes, letting herself fall down on the beaten up couch. "I'm happy were friends again."
Maria nodded quietly as she stood up, picking up the phone and dialling the number. She spoke for a moment, before hanging up.
"She's at home. We can go now, if you want."
Michael wasn't sure what to think of this new town. During the day, it was quiet, despite the number of uniquely dressed people walking around. But despite the people, there didn't seem to be a whole lot to do.
Sure, he could go down to the beach and surf, but surfing wasn't really his thing. The same went with going to the boardwalk. He liked riding a rollercoaster or playing the games they had, but not all the time.
There weren't any jobs, or at least, not any that would give him real money. He had tried to find some, especially after his mother had gotten a job so quickly, but he hadn't been able to find something he liked. He had even tried things he didn't like, like cleaning the beach, but that didn't work out either.
He sighed. It was all because of that group proudly calling themselves Surfnazis, as if they had simply forgotten what a nazi was and what they had done. They'd started a fight on his first day of cleaning beaches. He had tried to ignore them. He had tried to continue cleaning, but when they'd ripped his trashbag, dropped trash all over the ground and threatened to empty some beer cans they had on him, he had thrown a punch.
His boss had seen it.
He had been fired immediately.
So, here he was, working on his bike in front of the garage - since Grandpa Emerson refused to move his car - sulking about the move.
"Mike!"
"What?" He didn't look up when his younger brother ran towards him.
"There's a concert at the beach tonight. Tim Cappello is playing, you know, who also played with Tina Turner?"
This caused Michael to look up. Turner had some good songs, so to see one of her musicians play live for free?
"When?"
"At seven thirty. I think we should go."
Michael nodded, putting the dirty oilrag he had in his hands over the handlebars of his bike. "We'll leave at seven."
Julie was home alone when the doorbell rang. Max was at the store, having taken Thorn along with him. As she stopped to think about it, Thorn was a weird dog. Of course, canines were smart, but this dog seemed to be on another level. He seemed almost too sentient, as if he literally understood what was needed from him and why. When Max had asked him if he wanted to stay with Julie or with him tonight, he had nudged her hand as if to ask if she'd be okay on her own, before quickly jumping into Max' car.
Julie shook her head when the doorbell rang again, making a mental note to ask Max about it. As she opened the door, she was surprised to see Maria standing there, along with Shelly. She hadn't seen the latter since her boyfriend shot her.
"How's your arm?"
Julie nodded, stepping aside to let them in. "It's okay, there's not even a scar."
She led the two girls to her bedroom, feeling more comfortable there than in the neon haven that the living room was.
"Shelly wants to know more about what happened."
Julie looked at Maria, an uncertain look on her face. Max had said that she could tell others, but telling Shelly? After everything? Julie had a hard time trusting the girl, seeing how cold and mean she had been initially.
"Do you trust her?" She asked Maria, who nodded.
"She won't tell."
"It's that bad, isn't it?" Shelly asked as she sat down at Julie's desk, looking at the younger girl.
"It is." And with that, Julie took a deep breath and told her everything.
"So, how have you been liking Santa Carla so far?" Max asked as he led Lucy back to the counter, having given her a tour through the store.
"It's nice. Different than it used to be, there are more people now and more subcultures, but it's nice to be back here."
"You grew up here?"
Lucy nodded as she checked some tapes. "We live just out of town, in an old farmhouse."
"Ah, I knew the name Emerson rung a bell."
Lucy smiled at that, but Max could notice a hint of sadness in her expression.
"Are you alright?"
"Normally, when people recognise the name, it's because -" she stopped, slightly shaking her head. "There's been some family drama. I don't want to lay all my troubles -"
"Don't worry," Max nodded. "I know all about family drama. It must have been bad if it got widely spread."
"It was. It broke up my sisters' live."
He noticed that Lucy wouldn't speak on it more, but he did keep it in mind. Their conversation was interrupted by some girls looking for a movie to rent, and as he let Lucy take the lead in handling the customers, he noticed immediately that he wouldn't regret hiring her.
He looked up when the bell rang, his four boys walking in. David gave him a daring look, telling him to say something or to send them away. Max didn't react. Doing so now would only cause unwanted trouble. Dwayne, on the other hand, simply ignored him. Marko looked behind the counter, probably to see whether Maria or Julie were here. Paul was the only one who stopped for a second, quietly telling Max he'd go and see Julie later tonight. Max nodded, glad to see that some of his boys were still acting normal. Ever since David had gotten so angry with Julie, he had ignored her. Dwayne had stopped by once, and Marko and Paul seemed to be the only ones still actively hanging out with their sister. Julie hadn't said anything about it, but he had noticed that it quietly broke her up.
"You know you're not supposed to be here," David glared at Max as the sire spoke up. David knew it was a loaded sentence: not only was he not welcome in the store, Max had given him a mental note that told him that as long as he didn't make it up to Julie he wasn't welcome at his sires home either.
"You know these kids?" Lucy asked as they'd left the store, racing off on their bikes.
"Friends of my daughter," he decided after a moment. "I've known them a long time, and they really helped her adjust to her live here."
"Did you move here as well? Where were you from before-?"
"Oh no," Max laughed, "I've been here forever. I found Julie about a year ago, and practically adopted her."
"You found her?" Lucy frowned.
"She was in the hospital, and a friend of mine knew I foster kids sometimes. She was in a really bad shape, dealing with bad injuries and memory loss. Things are slowly returning now, so now we can finally start looking for her family again."
"I hope she does," Lucy said solemnly, the same sad look as before crossing on her face.

â General Audiences
â 1.7k Words
â Day 1 | Rainy Day for @flufftober
It had only been a couple of weeks since everyone made it safe and sound to the Human Realm.
Leaving nothing but pain and destruction in the place they called home, Luz was determined to make her friends feel welcomed, and at the very least somewhat happy during their impromptu visit.
So when the opportunity of showing non-boiling rain to Hunter presented itself, how could she possibly resist?
Ladies and gents, I'd like to welcome you to something I've never done before, which is trying a challenge I've always been too scared to do: Flufftober! :3
I can't promise I'll do all the prompts, but I definitely have a few things already stashed for everyone's fluffy enjoyment! This one goes to you, Huntceda nation! đđ
âMan, I can't wait to get this to Amity when we get home! I really hope she likes itâŚâ
Luz happily waltzed down the sidewalk past the bookstore she'd just come from, all the while never letting go of the paper bag that contained her precious treasure worth a good twenty dollars.
Hunter let out a chuckle, easily keeping up with the brunetâs brisk pace. âI doubt that'll be an issue considering you two go nuts over anything Azura related. Not sure what makes this book any different from the others, though.â
The human girl let out a fake gasp, already knowing her companion was just teasing and decided to play along. She lifted her bag and extracted the tome from inside, instantly waving it in his face as if that would be enough clarification. âThis is no ordinary Azura bookâIt's the five year anniversary collectorâs edition! It includes never-before-seen artwork, interviews with the author, and so much more! I got mine when it first came out, but when I heard it never made it to the Boiling Isles, I'd say it's the perfect gift!â
It had only been a couple of weeks since everyone made it safe and sound to the Human Realm. Leaving nothing but pain and destruction in the place they called home, Luz was determined to make her friends feel welcomed, and at the very least somewhat happy during their impromptu visit. Because of this, she prepared special gifts for everyone to hopefully cheer them up a bit.
Willow had gotten a new polaroid camera, seeing how her interests had grown into that of photography and capturing special moments in time.
Gus got the surprise of a lifetime when he awoke to a box set full of Cosmic Frontier novels, courtesy of the one and only Camila Noceda.
Hunter got a handmade birdhouse for Flapjackâalbeit a bit smaller than Luz had intended, even though the blond told her it was fineâ, along with a bird watching kit, with everything from binoculars to bird seed to even a notebook to document his findings. Maaaaybe she'd gone a bit overboard on his, but those were the boyfriend-girlfriend privileges!
So after today's purchase, that would knock everybody off the list. If early signs were any indication, the tokens of appreciation were working, at least for a little bit. It was the least she could do for themâŚ
Trying to push herself out of the mental fog that wanted to trap her, Luz clung to Hunter's arm and snuggled into it with a content sigh. His warmth always seemed to soothe her no matter where they were, and the cold weather was definitely giving him extra points. âThanks for tagging along, by the way. You could've stayed reading with Gus all afternoonâŚâ
The blond pulled another paper bag from behind his back, all the while grinning from ear to ear in the way that made Luz's heart melt. âAre you kidding? And miss the chance of getting our own special edition copy of Cosmic Frontier? Gus is going to lose it when we show this to him! Although we might keep this to ourselves for a bit, right Flap?â
The palisman chirped in reply from his resting spot on Hunter's shoulder. Luz giggled at the displayâthis boy would be the death of her one of these days, and she was more than okay with that.
âAlright you bookworms, it's time to head back beforeââ
Cutting her sentence short, a low rumble emanated from the sky, and it was only then the duo realized how it'd changed from blue to light gray. It was definitely clear when they'd left the house earlier.
After a droplet landed on Luz's nose catching her off-guard for a moment, she finally realized what was going on: it was starting to rain. Now, it wasn't like she didn't know this would happenâthe weather forecast mentioned the chance of light showers in the afternoon, hence the brunette hoping against all odds that they'd make it back before the sky decided to open up.
Hunter on the other hand, was a different story.
âL-Luz! We have to find shelter! Boiling rain's coming!â The teen reached for the girl's hand and didn't give her a chance to reply before he started bolting back to the bookstore. Despite her protests, the blond didn't stop until they were under the protection of the buildingâs roof. His voice was laced with concern as the grip on her hand never wavered. âYou okay?â
As she was catching her breath, Luz gave him a warm smile and squeezed his hand in reassurance, hopefully conveying her appreciation through the simple gesture. âI'm fine Hunter, thanks. Although⌠you do remember that rain doesn't boil in the Human Realm, right?â
A beat of silence.
Flapjack chirped between them once more as he ruffled his feathers to rid them of the moisture. Hunter's ears turned a light shade of pink as he batted his palisman away in annoyance. âF-Flapjack, cut it out!â
Luz giggled once more and raised an inquisitive eyebrow while reaching into her backpack. âI'll take that as a no?â
âI-It's not really my fault, you know! Humans run from rain here too, so it's not exactly easy to remember it won't melt our faces off!â The blond pointed at the display in front of them in exasperation, most definitely trying to save any dignity he had left. It wasn't working as well as he hoped.
âWell, you're lucky you have such a resourceful girlfriend, then!â As she finished uttering those words, Luz revealed a medium sized umbrella she'd brought with her to their errandsâa gift from Willow, sleek and black and designed after a cat, with little ears on top and everything. It quickly became one of her favorites.
After opening it up, the brunette walked away from the safety of the bookstore's roof until she could hear the relaxing sounds of water splashing above her head, yet it was keeping her completely dry. A hum escaped her lips as she turned to look at her surroundings, only then realizing the streets were completely empty. Maybe Hunter had a point about humans running away from rain, too.
Speaking of the blond, Luz turned back to find him staring at her in complete awe, as if she were walking through fire and not just a simple splash in the park. With a little spin that would most definitely leave her sneakers soaked thanks to the puddles underneath, the girl gave him a smile as she waved him over. âCome on! It's safe!â
Even though Luz knew Hunter believed her, the skepticism in his eyes was evident as he eyed his surroundings warily.
With a fond roll of her eyes, the girl walked back until she was face to face with her boyfriend, this time extending a hand towards him. Water splashed against her open palm, and it was nothing but refreshing. âIt's okay⌠I promise your face won't melt off. It'll stay as cute as always.â
Another blush spread across the blond's cheeks, but this time determination seemed to shimmer in his eyes. His gloved hand began to slowly make its way outwards, trembling slightly but moving steadily in Luz's direction. With only an inch of distance between themâ
âOw!â
âW-Wah!!!â
Before she knew it, the brunette's back hit the concrete with a wet âthud!â, almost knocking the wind out of her if not for Hunter's hands reaching out to cradle the back of her head before impact. How he'd managed to do that in the milliseconds they'd fallen, she'd never understand. Golden Guard training was all that popped in her mind.
Speaking of which, they'd indeed fallen to the ground, with Hunter holding his weight with one hand to avoid crushing Luz, while the other slowly let go of her head to look at her with concern. âAre you okay?! I-I tried to stop but Flapjack got in the way so I could only kinda cushion the fall with my hand andââ
âHunter! I'm fine, really! I mean aside from my back⌠oof, that's gonna leave a bruise in the morningâŚâ As she sat from her position on the floor, Luz was finally able to see what happened. Flapjack was holding onto Hunter's noodle strand with what could only be described as a satisfactory expression that almost seemed to say âyou're welcome.â
Despite Luz finding it amusing, the blond was not having any of it as he eventually tugged the palisman away and pointed a finger at his feathered chest. âYou can't keep doing that, mister! Someone could've gotten seriously hurt!â
âHey Hunter?â
âNot now Luz, he's gotta learn! You can't keep making excuses for him!â
âI was actually gonna ask if you've noticed where we're sitting.â
At that, the blond's eyes turned from his bird companion to look around. Water splashed against his clothes, leaving them completely soaked and exposed to the elements. But none of it burned. It was actually rather⌠peaceful?
Luz's umbrella lay discarded to the side as she opened up her arms in earnest. The smile on her face was infectious. âTold you you'd be safe! Maybe we cut Flap some slack since I'm sure he was just trying to help you get over your fear!â
The playfulness in her voice didn't go unnoticed to Hunter, and all he could do was sigh in defeat with a tired smile gracing his features. âYou guys are lucky I love you. I swear I would've thrown you in a dungeon a long time agoâŚâ
âAww, see Flapjack? I told you he'd be forgiving!â Luz cradled the bird in her arms with a wide grin spread across her cheeks.
She was sure to get an earful from her mom once they got homeâasking her how she could be so careless and that they'd catch a cold and âpor esto no te dejo salir con tu a solas con tu muchacho!â
Still, her heart felt full and that was truly all she could ever ask for.
âWAIT LUZ WHERE ARE OUR BOOKS?!â
⌠Well, hopefully Amity didn't mind getting a kitty souvenir for Ghost from the pet store instead.

Alright you [slimes], this is my most recent sneo with lightner soul concept and youâll Finally get to know why I made them (sorta spoilers for rfas? Not really but just in case)
Originally, I planned for the mansion to start collapsing due to Neo's destruction and corruption of the basement. Kinda like taking out the linchpin yknow? Spam protects the reader from a falling piece of rubble b4 talking with the Addisons. They needed to evacuate everyone. Sneo goes to say he'll take care of the mansion, but a large chunk of rubble falls. He of course saves the reader, by pushing them back with his wings.
But reader and Spam would get separated, corraling one outside and the other further into the mansion. Spam says 'just go up top! I'll get you!' and who are you to disagree? Of course, it's not that easy. The werewerewires attack Sneo, and the remaining staff don't take kindly to you freeing the Neo suit.
You eventually make your way to the roof. Queen greets you up there, she expected this to happen. You fight her and a couple Swatchlings. But you're still... weak. From everything that happened. They force you to the edge of the mansion roof. And of course, because it's already unstable, the roof crumbles under your feet.
You fall.
Spamton fucking freaks (internally of course). He scales the building just to catch you in mid-air. And when you tell him to just take your soul and Finish this, he vehemently tells you No. He won't. He won't! You don't give him a choice. A selfish play, but the only true way to save you both.
You force your soul into the Neo suit.
I wouldn't quite call it telepathy, but you can communicate with Spamton even without your body. You let him have most of the control, hence why it so Heavily leans towards Spamton's design. He leaves your body safely with the Addisons, and goes back to the roof.
You ask what heâs doing.
Waiting for Her.
Giga queen emerges and she's pissed!! Most of the fight is like the one from ch2, save for the size difference (sneo is still only 15 feet tall, giga is around 50). Spam is still at an advantage. He's used to being smaller than most, and it still applies here. Though he does show off, just a bit. When giga tries to punch at him, he grabs her arm, not letting go even when she recoils, and Rips Her Arm Off.
After defeating the queen, Spam gives your soul back so quickly it looks like it burns him to hold it. He doesn't want to do that again. And everyone is ok!! Happy days!!
The end!!
That's not what happens though. And it's not the only ending I've scrapped. Will I add them somewhere else? Who knows ;)

yayy Ethan and Luis both being paranoid new dads and malewife Ethan fluff
After she's done with her bottle, Luis lays back down with Rosa situated on his chest. She doesn't seem sleepy, so Luis plays with her until Ethan comes back. There's not a lot he can do with her at this point, but even the small things make his heart swell. He makes weird faces at her. She doesn't try to mimic his expressions, but she watches his face intensely. He puts his fingers in front of her face, and her tiny hands grab them.
Ethan finally comes back and gets up on the bed and kisses both on the tops of their heads. Then Luis gets an extra kiss on the cheek.
âI missed you,â Ethan says, even though he hasn't been gone very long and was only downstairs, not even outside of the house. âHow are the two most important people in the world doing?â
âI've never been better. I don't have the constant aches and pains anymore, I can lay however I want, and most importantly⌠Now that my fingers aren't swelling, I can wear my real engagement ring,â Luis puts his hand on the back of Rosa's head, showing off the ring. He wants Ethan to know that he truly does love the heirloom ring, because he does and wouldn't have taken it off for a second if his fingers were smaller, even after their fight where they both said things they shouldn't have, the worst being related to Mia. âAnd our princess is still perfect, I'm still in awe that a screwup like me managed to make something perfect.â
âYou're both perfect. Don't even try and argue with me that you're not right now, you can't change my mind,â For once, Luis doesn't argue. âI got the basement cleaned up, dishes from breakfast and lunch are done, laundry is done. All I'm doing until dinner is laying in bed with you. Before I get comfy, is there anything you want me to bring to you?â
âThe baby carrier. I want to go for a walk,â Ethan's response to the request is an extremely skeptical look. âI know, I know, you don't want me lifting a finger yet and think the fact I've been feeding her is too much. But I just want to walk around in the yard for a few minutes. It's actually good for the healing process, getting the blood flowing. Call Rebecca if you don't believe me!â
âYou want to go outside? It's winter.â
âDoesn't matter. I'll bundle Rosa up, I'll wear your jacket, it'll be okay. I'm going to go stir crazy if I don't leave the house soon, it's been weeks!â Luis can see Ethan's resolve begin to crumble. âI want some fresh air, and I bet Rosa will like it. I did as a baby. My grandfather told me I would be pretty fussy when I was inside, but taking me outside and rocking me on the porch always calmed me down. The winters there were harsher than here, and it never stopped him from taking me out.â
âJust a couple minutes,â Ethan concedes. âAnd I'll be the one wearing it, you're taking it easy and walking slowly.â
âYes!â Luis says, careful not to be loud enough to upset Rosa. Ethan moves the small basket currently functioning as Rosa's wardrobe onto the bed, where Luis can reach. Then Ethan leaves the room to get the carrier. Luis starts focusing on her again and whispers. âCan you do me a favor? Be good to Daddy. Don't cry when he takes you from me. He isn't a stranger. He's loved you since the day I told him I was going to have you, even though I screwed things up so bad that I was sure he'd leave me and not want anything to do with you.â
Luis keeps rambling while he gets her dressed in a toasty warm outfit. He doesn't bother getting himself dressed; they're not going out in public, just the secluded backyard, so Ethan's hoodie and sweatpants is fine.
Ethan comes back empty-handed, no baby carrier. Luis looks at him, a little confused.
âI realized something, I don't want you on the stairs yet.â
âDon't treat me like I'm made of glass! I want to go outside and feel up to it, I don't have any stitches, there is no reason for me to be on bed rest. I am going outside, with or without you!â The sharpness and volume of Luis's voice disturbs Rosa and she starts crying. Luis's voice immediately softens and he holds her closer to his chest. âDon't you cry, everything is okay. I'm a little upset at Daddy right now, but he means well, he just wants to protect me.â
âHey, honey?â Ethan starts, sitting down on the bed and putting his arm around Luis's back. Ethan's weapon holster presses against Luis's thigh when he sits down, reminding him of how dedicated he is to protecting his fiancĂŠ and daughter. He wants to go outside, but he'll yield if Ethan really doesn't want him to. âYou cut me off. I said I don't want you on the stairs. I was just going to tell you to put Rose in her bassinet so I could carry you down the stairs, then go back up to get her. I know you are stubborn enough to go outside on your own, but I'm not letting that happen, we'll all go out together.â
âOh,â Luis's face flushes with embarrassment as he realizes how unnecessary his outburst was. He reluctantly sets her in her bassinet. His paranoia hates the thought of her being out of his sight for even a second, but he knows Ethan's paranoia hates the thought of Luis being up and moving around before he's fully healed. If Ethan is willing to put aside his paranoia to let Luis walk around, Luis is willing to put aside his to let Ethan carry him. âI'm sorry for freaking out on you.â
âIt's okay, you had a baby yesterday, you've got some free passes for emotional outbursts. Holding anything you say against you right now wouldn't be fair. I'm impressed this is the worst you've been,â Ethan reassures. âReady to be carried?â
âI always am. I still love that you can just pick me up like I weigh nothing.â
Luis still lets out a sigh of relief when Ethan comes into the living room with a still crying Rosa, who he passes to Luis before starting to get the carrier on. She stops crying immediately. While Luis does feel bad that Ethan hasn't gotten any magical newborn bonding time, a part of him can't help but love being her favorite person. He'd been so afraid that she'd hate him; Luis was the screwed up mess that didn't seem in any way ready for a baby and refused to even try to accept he was having one for seven months, Ethan was the perfect family man that longed for a baby for years and bought everything a newborn would need the day after Luis finally told him about the pregnancy, when Luis hadn't even thought about the fact that babies need things. It just seemed like a given that the baby would prefer Ethan Winters, effortlessly perfect fiancĂŠ and father to the eternal screwup Luis Serra. Her preference for Luis and zero interest in Ethan was truly a curveball he never saw coming. He's sure it'll eventually even out, but he'll bask in the joy of being the favorite while he can.
Luis can't believe he ever doubted his ability to parent. Rosa starts crying when they leave the bedroom, and it takes every ounce of willpower in Luis's body to not start flailing around to escape Ethan's arms to run and comfort his baby. She's okay. If you can hear her, you know she's okay, no one is taking her away. Ethan will go get her in just a couple minutes.
Luis fusses over the carrier with one hand, his other arm cradling Rosa, making sure everything is on properly before placing her into it. He talks and sings as he does, knowing she's not going to appreciate being separated from her favorite person yet again. She doesn't seem as relaxed as she is when Luis is holding her, but she doesn't start crying again, so that's a small victory.
Luis gets a small pang of homesickness when he finally opens the back door. It's so ugly in the yard- there had been a beautiful blanket of snow over everything a few days ago, but now a lot of it has melted. It's just an ugly barren landscape of yellow grass with a few sad piles of snow. Valdelobos was an ugly, horrible place in so many ways. Valdelobos winters were brutal, they meant going to bed hungry and cold most nights, but they were at least beautiful. None of this half assed snow, the whole landscape was always beautifully transformed by the snow and frost.
Ethan still manages to give Luis a little bit of princess treatment, insisting they walk with their arms linked, just in case Luis is overestimating himself and isn't ready to be up and moving around without some support. Luis doesn't mind, he likes leaning on Ethan's shoulder and looking down at Rosa. It makes the homesickness go away, all he can think about is how perfect she is. She doesn't go to sleep, she keeps her head turned sideways, trying to look at her surroundings instead of keeping her face to Ethan's chest.
âYou were right.â Ethan says eventually.
âAbout what?â
âYou said she'd like the fresh air too, this is the longest I've been able to have her without her melting down wanting to go back to you.â
âOh. Yeah,â They walk a few more steps before Luis starts feeling winded. âI hate to cut your bonding short, but I'm beat. Walking across a yard is exhausting when you've barely left your bed for two long monthsâŚâ
âI'm sure it is,â Ethan turns to start heading back to the house. âYou think she'll let me read to her inside? You could hold her.â
âYeah. We'll try that, and you can do the next feeding, that should help a lot. I fell in love with you for so many reasons, but your insistence on feeding me constantly was definitely the first thing, what got your foot in the door of my heart. She's a good eater, chugs her bottles at a champion pace,â Deep down, Luis finds her eating worrying. The large appetite and the way she's a lot more alert and aware of her surroundings than a one day old should⌠Growing and maturing at a quicker pace could easily be related to the mold. But Luis can't bring himself to think about it too much right now, he's too happy for it to drag his mood down, instead pretending it's purely a good thing, that his baby is just a genius. âIf you're giving the bottles, you'll be her best friend in no time.â
âShould I go ahead and take her upstairs and then come back for you?â
âNo, I'm fine on the couch until bedtime. I could use a change of scenery. Just go and get something to read,â Luis slips his jacket off and takes Rosa back from the carrier. âWill you be more of a daddy's girl now that Daddy was who took you on a fun walk outside?â
Luis gets the unnecessary clothing layers off and positions her sitting up in his lap, and Ethan sits down right next to him, opening a picture book and propping it up on their laps where they can all see it. It's not just any book, it's a pop-up book. Rosa is enthralled, smiling and reaching out a tiny hand to start grabbing at the cardboard animals that are popping up out of the pages. There's a look of concern on Ethan's faceâ he was very prepared for fatherhood and must be well-read enough to know that a baby this young shouldn't be reaching for objects yet. She should be looking at faces intensely, maybe looking at the book's pictures, but not trying to grab at anything. She probably shouldn't even be awake and happy right now, she hasn't slept since before her last bottle.
And Ethan has shown enough concern and awareness of his infection that he's surely making the same connection Luis did, that her acting beyond her age is less her just being a genius and more related to her father being made of mold when she was conceived. But he wipes the concern off his face and says nothing, instead shifting his gaze to the book and beginning to read aloud.
She's asleep by the end of the book. Luis adjusts so she's cradled in his arms, not propped upright.
âIf you want a nap, just say the word and I'll take her. But if you don't, I'm not going to fight and insist on taking her. It would be fighting a losing battle.â
âYou know me so well,â Luis agrees, before grabbing the TV remote and passing it to Ethan. âFind us a Christmas movie. I still need to be educated on the America way to celebrate. All we did in Valdelobos was little presents and all the religious nonsense.â
âYou do. It's a lot more fun here, especially with kids. I'll ask Chris to bring us a tree and some ornaments. I'm not leaving you two alone long enough to get any of it myself. We should pick out some presents to order too. She's too young to really understand any of it, but I still want to wrap some presents for her and leave them under the tree,â Ethan stops and thinks for a moment before he keeps talking. âTo be paranoid, we probably shouldn't have any baby things shipped directly here?â
âYou know, I wouldn't say you're being paranoid. It's a very justified concern,â Luis affirms. âBet we could talk Claire into going out for us. Get a catalog and circle things or just a plain old list to give her so she can buy everything. I know her and Sherry like Christmas shopping, they've tried to get me things every year, she wouldn't mind. Then we wouldn't have to worry about shipping or anything.â
âShe said she wanted me to call her tonight and update her on how you're doing, I'll ask then.â
âPerfect.â
Ethan finally turns the TV on and flips through channels until he gets to a decent movie. Then he sets the remote aside and turns his attention to Luis and Rosa, pressing his body against Luis's and stretching an arm out behind his back. His other hand gently strokes Rosa's cheek a couple times and then rests on Luis's thigh. While he'd like more physical affection with his little miracle, he doesn't want to risk waking her up.
Luis tries to focus on the TV, but his eyes keep going to Ethan, who looks deep in thought.
âMi regalo, what are you thinking about?â
âYou,â Ethan answers immediately. âI'm glad you wanted to go outside. I was really worried about you during the pregnancy. Not just because you felt so awful physically⌠You were in bed constantly. I was worried your depression would get bad again, like when I first met you and you never left the house. I'm really glad you wanted out today, it's good for your mind. As soon as we stop being paranoid enough that we can handle letting Claire babysit for a few hours, I'm taking you out on a nice date.â
âThat'll be a long time. We might even be married first! That'll be easier, Rosa will be the flower girl, in a carrier with one of us the whole time, then we won't be worrying about her.â
âHaving a baby, then getting married, then going out on a date. We really botched the order.â
âAnd taking it slow, we shat the bed there. We're just not built to do things the right way, and that's okay, we still ended up with a perfect baby. I love you, Ethan.â
âI love you too. And I love our little Rosa MarĂa. More than anything. I'll always be there for you, and for her. Protecting you both from everything,â Ethan looks back down at Rosa, and dares to stroke her cheek again, and holds one of her hands too. âIf anyone so much as touches a hair on that perfect little head, I'll make sure they regret it.â

Chapter 21: Tour Busses and Good Luck Kisses (A Poly Judgment Day Fic)
Nessa leans up against Rhea, yawning as Damian uses his keys to open the front door, Rhea's dogs barking up a storm and bounding up to them as soon as they enter. Nessa steps aside so Rhea can kneel down and greet her babies, cooing while the men drag in the pile of bags, leaving them by the door.
"Hey Dom, come with me while I do my laundry please," Nessa asks him through a yawn, Dominik smiles warmly at her, admiring how cute she is when she is so tired, and grabs her bag, following her to Rhea's laundry room. He can tell she wants to discuss something with him, just the two of them, and he is glad the others could tell as well leaving them be. He hands her articles of clothing silently and she just tosses them in the washer, not bothering to sort it at all. He patiently waits for Nessa to start the conversation. It isn't until she has started the washer and hops up to sit on it that she starts talking.
"Dom, I... This information can't get out, not yet. I need to make sense of it all and I need your help to do that." Nessa explains, not explaining exactly what she needs but Dominik has an idea.
"Whatever you need Nes. Mi Corazon, just tell me what you need and I'll do it." Dominik offers, stepping closer to her and standing between her legs, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close, her head resting against the top of his shoulder.
"Can you set up a meeting with him? Near my place? Somewhere familiar? And it be just us. Damian is too close to Kevin and that might cloud his judgement and I know Rhea is a big fan. I need someone just in my corner please." Nessa asks, placing a kiss on his neck. She feels him nod against her.
"How would mom's house work? It is close to your place and Mom wants to see us, even if it is only just you and me, the others can come back here and rest." Dominik offers and Nessa grips the back of his shirt and leans her head back to look at him.
"As long as Rey isn't there, and she doesn't harass us for grandchildren." Nessa gives the caveats, smirking at the end making Dominik chuckle,
"I can promise Dad won't be there, Can't make any promises on Mom though. I can ask that she might not be there. Or she might be in Vegas with Dad." Dominik kisses her nose and admires the way she scrunches it up at the contact.
"Oh you are so cute when you do that" Dominik coos and kisses her nose again. She squeals and pushes him away, hopping off the washing machine and running out of the room, Dominik chasing her, the both of them laughing, Dominik calling out, "Wait let me loooove you"
Nessa runs through the house, Dominik chasing her, both of them giggling until Nessa literally runs into Rhea who instinctively wraps her arms around the smaller woman and stumbles back a couple of steps but keeps them both upright.
"Well, whats going on here?" Rhea asks, looking back and forth between the pair, Nessa's face flushed with the exertion, Dominik out of breath but smiling wider than she had ever seen him. Rhea can't help but smile at how happy her partners look while waiting for her answer.
"Nothing, Nessa just can't take a compliment and tries to run away" Dominik answers honestly, smirking deviously.
"Oh is that true? Well Bunny you are the most adorable thing and so glad we get to call you ours." Rhea kisses Nessa's forehead and Nessa whines and tries to wriggle away from the grip. Nessa is unsuccessful and Rhea guides her to the living room where she plops down on the couch dragging Nessa with her, Dominik leaning on the doorway. Nessa's eyes meet Dominiks and she sees the happiness and joy there was before and it is in that moment even with the growing pains they are all having Nessa knows they will be alright.
"I'm going to go shower" Dominik announces but Rhea calls out to stop him.
"Wait to shower till later, we are going to train in like 20 minutes so wait till after," Rhea suggests, patting the spot on the couch next to her and inviting Dominik to join them, only for Barry to jump up and take it. Dominik laughs and decides on his next course of action,
"Ok, instead I'll go pack some fresh clothes and put a pile in the laundry room to get done. Have some alone time with Nes. She needs some comfort" Dominik asks before turning away and disappearing from view.
"I know you need comfort, he doesn't need to ask..." Rhea turns her attention to Nessa, "How are you love?" Rhea asks, moving a strand of hair away from Nessa's face. Nessa bites her lip unsure of how to answer. Nessa looks at Rhea's beautiful piercing blue-green eyes that makes bodies of water jealous, and her breath catches seeing the care and concern.
(Piecing pools of blue the ocean wishes it could be) (Reword to that)
"There is a lot about last night I am having strong feelings about. First is something you have no control over, just let me feel it and figure out what I need to do, the other..." Nessa begins to answer, trailing off, getting nervous.
"What's the other, Bunny, I can't help you if you don't tell me. And as for the first thing, take all the time you need to process that information. We will support your decision whatever it is." Rhea promises and Nessa appreciates the honesty in her voice.
"I feel bad about not... well not doing things for you yesterday after you...." Nessa trails off unsure how to word it and not feel embarrassed.
"After I ate your delicious pussy and made you cum on my fingers? Oh baby, don't feel bad about that I just wanted to taste you and give you pleasure." Rhea tries to reassure Nessa who shakes her head.
"I should have done something in return if not then, when I got back to the hotel or something. It's unfair I got the pleasure and you didn't. I can tonight if you want?" Nessa offers, no longer meeting Rhea's gaze but instead staring at her hands where she has begun picking at her cuticles.
"Hey no, we aren't going to be doing that." Rhea grabs Nessa's face gently to look at her. Nessa was taken aback by the worry in Rhea's gaze. "You don't have to do things for us just because we do it for you. The pleasure for me was in pleasing you. Love is giving and providing, but sometimes it's just feeling too and I wanted you to feel good. We don't ever expect it back. Yeah sometimes it is nice but it is not a requirement and it is not unfair. And no we will not be doing that tonight because I know you feel like you have to and I, we need you to understand that you don't." Rhea stares at Nessa waiting for her to respond somehow that she understands those expectations, Rhea makes a mental note to tell the boys this development, well, Damian and Finn, Dom probably knows. Rhea finds herself thinking, letting out a sigh of relief when Nessa slowly nods and scoots closer, and lays her head on Rhea's shoulder.
"Ok," Nessa softly answers, grabbing Rhea's hand and playing with her fingers. "I uh.. Also want to ask a favor" Nessa states, waiting for Rhea's go ahead. "And what is that Bunny?" Rhea prompts, leaning her head against Nessa's.
"After raw, I need Dom just Dom to come with me to San Diego so I can meet up with Kevin and hear him out. There are some things I need answered and I would feel too much pressure with you and Luis and Finn there. I know how you and Luis feel about Kevin." Nessa asks, glad that she can't see Rhea's face from their position, not wanting to see if voicing her need hurt Rhea or if she was upset. Rhea squeezes Nessa's hand and tightens her arm around the smaller woman.
"Of course Bunny, whatever you need. Luis, Finn, and I will come here and we will meet back up at our live shows this weekend. Thank you for telling me what you need Bunny." Rhea runs her free hand up and down Nessa's arm soothingly. Rhea feels the tension melt out of Nessa's body as her breathing deepens and soft snores start coming from Nessa. Rhea snorts and shakes her head, still not used to how fast Nessa can fall asleep but internally preening that she is that comfortable with her to do so. Rhea relaxes as well and watches the tv, letting Nessa get a nap in before they have to get ready and go for training.
________________________________________________________________________
Not even five minutes later Rhea hears Finn and Damian calling for them, their voices laced with confusion. Rhea rouses Nessa who groggily opens her eyes and blinks, groaning at being woken up so soon. Dominik pops his head around the door frame, his face a mix of confusion and amusement.
"Uh there is a tour bus here and apparently it is for us?" He explains making Nessa wake up and get up alongside Rhea who is just as confused.
"What, why, who?" Nessa rapidly asks, heading towards the front of the house with Rhea and Dominik, Rhea echoing her questions and Dominik just shrugging. Knowing just as much as them. The three of them get outside to the driveway where Damian and Finn are talking the the assumed driver of the bus, Damian's body language showing his protectiveness. His arms crossed standing slightly in front of Finn who is waving around his hands as he talks. Nessa speeds up her walking and gets to them first. She placed her hand on Finn's shoulder calming him down before taking a step over to Damian and grabbing his hand making him uncross his arms.
"What's going on, we didn't order this?" Nessa asks calmly already having an idea as to what is going on, the conversation she had with Danika coming to mind as well. She knows she shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth but she needs to know.
"Oh we were contracted and paid in full, the bus is yours period, fully paid. The contract is for me your driver and a security guard who will meet us at the arena tomorrow and will travel with us. The name is Leo." The man, rocking a decent tan and long brown hair in a low ponytail, standing just under Damian's nose sticks out his hand introducing himself to Nessa which is further than he had gotten with the men who were adamantly telling him to get off the property.
"Nessa, It's nice to meet you. I suppose this is a gift from an anonymous benefactor for our "safety" Can you tell us who it is?" Nessa asks, Damian pulling her gently further behind him.
"No can do, part of the contract as well, but you can call your boss for proof. I know this is suspicious at best." He offers and Finn immediately takes out his phone and makes the call, Nessa getting annoyed he and Damian are standing in front of her again blocking her view of the driver. Finn puts the phone on speaker as Hunter answers.
"Hunter... Paul... what is this bus business." Finn asks, eyeing Leo who just rolls his eyes but respects the protectiveness.
"Oh good it's there. The bus is paid for and in Nessa's name. The driver is hired and contracted because well that is none of your business and done by also none of your business. Just enjoy the gift for fucks sake now excuse me I have actual business to attend to." Hunter abruptly ends the call and Rhea snickers. The call however confirmed what Nessa's theory was which is that Kevin is trying to buy her forgiveness like Rey did.
"Look I would hate to waste the money of whoever paid for this so we might as well use it and enjoy it. Dems we could have the dogs travel with us for the most part" Nessa tries to convince Rhea first, knowing if Rhea agrees the rest will fall in line. Rhea takes a moment to think before nodding her head and clicking her tongue.
"And Luis, Dom, Finn we wouldn't have to fly all the time, just only when the distance is too far to drive, and even then he can meet us there and take us to the next show. Also, a bed that is ours instead of constant hotel beds and getting locked out in our boxers..." Nessa looks at Finn and Damian and smirks, still enjoying the story that happened the day they found her Rhea and Dom in the bed surrounded by Oreos.
"Fine, you win Mariposa. We can't say no to you apparently." Damian grumbles and ruffles Nessa's hair.
"Well if we are going to basically live in the bus we need to stock up on food and shit so let's postpone our training for a bit and go to the grocery store. I need to buy more shampoo and stuff anyway." Nessa suggests to the group, smiling and nodding to Leo.
"Yeah, you are right, let's go get what we need." Dominik agrees, grabbing Nessa's hand and trying to drag her to the SUV but Rhea clears her throat making them stop in their tracks.
"Bunny you are doing your laundry, and Finn was putting up some of his legos he got this week and wanted to start the set your friend so kindly got him. Why don't you two stay here and just text me whatever you need." Rhea offers, and Nessa narrows her eyes at her.
"Yeah that sounds fine, A ChroĂ come on let's go back in the house." Finn offers, holding out his hand and cocking his head. Nessa looks back and forth from him to Rhea before sighing and leaning up to place a peck on Dominik's lips who pouts. Nessa begins to walk towards Finn but Dominik keeps a hold of her hand till both of their arms are extended.
"I know you guys want to make up for lost time but we still need to work out today and we have to drive to the venue tomorrow so let's go. Rhea pulls their hands apart, Nessa stomping over to Finn, grabbing his outstretched hand, and stands next to him.
"Now that is settled get in the bus and tell me what store we are going to, that way when I drive y'all back here you can stock everything where you want it and save time," Leo offers pointing to the open door of the bus.
"Before you go I do have a question," Nessa asks as Leo steps onto the first step in the bus's doorway but pauses and turns around to look at Nessa waiting for the question.
"How does the gas work? Do we pay for it or is it included in the contract?" Nessa asks, and she feels Finn squeeze her hand and she takes it as encouragement.
"From venue to venue has been calculated and factored into the contract with a cushion. Anything that goes over would traditionally be your responsibility but since you are not who hired me it is them that would be responsible for it." He answers keeping the identity of their benefactor secret but Nessa thanks him and he disappears into the bus, Rhea, Dominik, and Damian going after him.
__________________________________________________________________________
Nessa and Finn enter the house and an awkward silence surrounds them, only the faint sounds of the washer and dryer going on in the distance. Nessa can feel that he wants to discuss what happened last night and hopes he doesn't bring it up she isn't ready to talk about it.
"Well since your laundry is still going why don't you come with me and help me start building this set your friend got me. We can talk about anything or nothing at all and just enjoy the company and focus on the building. There are a lot of pieces in this kit and we can just focus on that if that is what you need." Finn offers, seeing the expression on Nessa's face. He lets out a sigh when she nods and smiles, relaxing a little more as he guides her to the Room Rhea let him take over for various Lego projects. With her hand in his still, he leads her over to the table where he unboxed the set and just barely got started before the bus thing happened.
"Ok so what do you want me to do, this is a fairly rare set and I don't want to mess it up or lose anything," Nessa asks, pulling her hand free and clasping her hands together waiting for direction. "Well let's look at the instructions, you'll build a piece and I will build a separate piece." Finn smiles, appreciating the respect she has for his favorite hobby and by extension respect for him and he begins to wonder how he and the others got so lucky to have gotten her in their life. They have the instructions pulled up on Finn's phone and each starts building their respective pieces, gently bumping their hips together, talking about their favorite premier league team arguing over them.
"No, West Ham is the best and has the most talent, argue with God, not me" Nessa points to Finn who chomps his teeth in her direction jokingly. Nessa huffs, but smiles showing she isn't mad and he sees she is more relaxed than she was earlier. In this moment of peace, he decides to not bring up the Kevin-sized elephant that is sitting on her shoulders. Instead, he promises to himself he is going to be a place of peace for her just as she is for him.
"Finn" Nessa calls out his name, her tone telling him she has a question. He hums and looks over at her and watches as she just fidgets with the partially built part of the Lego stadium, waiting for her to ask what she needs to.
"You didn't really give me an opinion about what we found out Saturday. You are somewhere in the middle of friendship and not knowing him all that well and I value your opinion." She explains, sounding more like a statement but he understands what she is asking.
"It doesn't shock me, honestly, Dom got to come straight to the main roster, as did you straight into a main storyline with the most dominant group. That being said I don't blame you and I am actually grateful because it gave you to us A chroĂŹ. But I do think you should talk to him and at least get answers. You don't owe him a relationship of any sort but you do owe him an opportunity to explain himself if only to get closure on both ends. But understand where he might be coming from. He is still reeling from the loss of his son and finding out you were in an abusive relationship before Dom." Finn explains, abandoning his own piece, and watches her body language, ready to change the subject if she needs it.
"What if he expects a relationship, I think he is the one paying for the bus. Oh god, what if he uses that to try to make me have some sort of relationship with him even if I'm not ready? I told Dom to set up a meeting. Should I tell him I changed my mind? Why now, why not when Mom divorced, or when I turned 18? Is it me, did he just not want me..." Nessa begins to spiral pacing back and forth and running her fingers through her hair, still spouting off what-ifs and flinging her arms about. An idea comes to his head and he steps over to her grabbing both sides of her face and presses their lips together, hoping it makes her pause and stop panicking.
Nessa stops and takes in a sharp breath through her nose. The softness of Finns lips and the sudden feeling of his lips on hers shocks her out of her thoughts. Instead her thoughts focus on wanting to feel his lips against hers again, so she kisses him, tossing her arms around his neck the chaste pecks turning in to a longer passionate kiss, Nessa trying to grip Finns hair but is unable to because of its length. She runs her nails gently across his scalp instead earning a low groan from Finn and he leans his head back effectively breaking the kiss but remaining in her arms.
"Are you ok Luv? I'm sorry for forcing a kiss but you began to spiral there" He asks, placing a kiss on her forehead. His stomach drops when he hears her whimper but that fear turns to confusion when she tightens her arms around him pulling him closer.
"No that was fine Finn, i'm sorry you felt you had to kiss me when you didn't want to." Nessa apologizes, feeling incredibly guilty that he felt he had to use physical affection when their relationship isn't quite there yet. Finn stands there staring at the wall, his jaw slack, his chest tightening for the young woman in his arms. He raises a hand to her hand and pets her hair trying to soothe her.
"A ChroĂŹ I would not have kissed you if I did not want to. We continued kissing after and I wanted that as well. You have done nothing wrong." Finn soothes Nessa, still petting her hair and just swaying them back and forth until their bubble is popped by the alarm of the dryer announcing her clothes are done.
"I'll uh go take care of that and start Doms laundry." Nessa announces breaking the embrace. Finn grabs her hand. "I'll go help you" He states, giving her no room for argument which she didn't have anyway.

May 8th, 2023 Raw
Nessa and Rhea walk towards the shared womens locker room while the men lounge in their locker room waiting for the show to start. They are not surprised when they get to the locker room and see Indi there waiting for them. She kicks off the wall where she was leaning and hugs both women.
"Ava is running a little late because she has a meeting with Hunter. We'll hang out in here until she gets here and is ready. We are glad you guys want to hang out with us more." Indi explains as she opens the door and they enter the room, someones bra flying past Nessa's head that she narrowly dodges. She looks around to see who threw it, her eyes landing on Raquel who has her arms crossed, already in her ring gear.
"How are you going to need training and not ask me, who trained with Rhea in NXT." Raquel narrows her eyes waiting on an answer. She is joking but Nessa can't tell and thinks she is genuinely upset. Nessa fidgets, clearly nervous but meets Raquel's gaze, showing more confidence than she feels. Raquel relaxes her posture and smiles, patting Nessa's head before pulling Rhea into a quick hug. The tension being broken Nessa answers the earlier question, "I am very small and our styles would be wildly different, you are similar to Rhea and I am already training with her. If you want to help I would appreciate it, I need all the help I can get honestly. I don't want to accidentally hurt someone or get hurt myself"
This admission makes Raquel smile wider and whispers of approval from many in the locker room. Nessa takes a seat on an empty bench, Rhea joining her on one side and Raquel sits next to her, the two of them talking and catching up. Nessa looks around and is shocked when she sees Natalya walking over and taking the empty spot next to her.
"Hey, about the board thing. I'm sorry for my involvement but its easy money for those that know." Natalya whispers to Nessa to takes in a sharp breath looking at Natalya with wide eyes.
"It is more difficult and less at the same time and if you need anything i am here, I more than understand you didn't choose this." Natalya pats Nessa's knee, leaving her hand there. Rhea eyes her hand and cocks her head still talking to Raquel. Natalya sees the look Rhea is giving her and swiftly removes her hand.
"Who all..." Nessa trails off, asking who all knows what she found out on saturday. Natalya looks at her with pity shining in her eyes. "Those like us. Most of them that is." Natalya answsers, shrugging her shoulders like it is nothing new. "I knew the moment Dominik showed me the picture of his super perfect girlfriend in 2020" Natalya teases, bumping her shoulder against Nessa's.
Nessa feels her face and ears heat up. She figured Dom told people about her but not the praising to that level. Though it doesn' shock her. An idea pops in her head and before Nessa can stop herself she finds herself standing up and asking the room, "Did anyone else get accosted by Dominik showing pictures of me from 2020 on?" The entire locker room raises their hands and Nessa's blush deepens, the embarassment sinking in and she sits back down hiding her face in her hands while everyone laughs. She feels a hand rub her back inbetween her shoulders. She guesses from the direction of the hand it is Natalya. Its confirmed for her when someone else runs their fingers through her hair. She raises her head to look at Rhea who kisses her forehead.
"He was and is so proud of you and loves you very much as do I." Rhea explains, cupping Nessa's cheek. Nessa hears her heart beat in her ears so she can't hear the other cooing at her and Nessa. In that momen all Nessa can see and hear is Rhea whose face is a similar shade of pink.
"I love you too Dems" Nessa softly, almost in a whisper response, grabbing Rhea's hand which Nessa notices has a slight tremor to it. Nessa grasps it with both her hands and angles her body to face Rhea more, a love struck smile on both their faces. They are pulled out of their own little world by someone clearing their throat and waving their hand in front of their faces. They both turn their heads to see Ava standing in front of them her arms crossed and tapping her foot, in her ring gear as well. Nessa shrinks back in embarassment not wanting to be so out of focus the first time she meets the young woman.
"I'm sorry, she is just so... look at her" Nessa gestures to Rhea who blushes at the praise.
"While she is drop dead gorgeous and I can't blame you for getting lost in her gorgeous deep blue eyes, we are already late for training so lets gooo" Ava grabs them and drags them out the door, Indi and Raquel following laughing like the rest of the room.
___________________________________________________________________________ The door closes behind them and the room erupts in conversation.
"Say what you want but she is putting in work, she is training more than a lot of us, definitely more than some part timers" Becky pointedly looks at Shayna who stands up, not appreciating the dig at her best friend.
"Hey, she is still a professional athlete and has a young child at home." Shayna tries to defend her but it falls on deaf ears, Becky stands up in front of Shayna, getting in her face, "like some of us don't have young ones at home?" Becky and Shayna stare each other down. Nikki Cross steps between them and separates them.
"Becks you are right about Nessa, she is working her little ass off, not to prove herself but to keep herself and others who would work with her safe. Went full tilt not even easing into it. If you've seen them traveling they train almost every day. Sayna, you may be a little biased and defending your best friend, but, Rhonda isn't one of us, not fully. We respect her working but she is difficult to work with and she has a bad habit of not keeping us safe, you have to acknowledge that." The rest of the room makes varying noises of agreement. Zoey just sits there and rolls her eyes, not liking the newer addition to the roster, and sick of the constant Rhonda discussions.
Everyone's attention turns towards the door when Trish enters the room, tossing her duffle on the nearest bench and abandoning her rolling bag by the door, looking around at all the women around, annoyed even with her status she can't have her own locker room but that little whore gets to with the judgement day.
"What are we talking about?" Trish asks taking a seat next to Zoey who leans over and whispers in her ear. Trish scoffs and rolls her eyes.
"She doesn't deserve any credit. She is nothing and doesn't belong here. Honestly, it's a shame she didn't succumb to COVID. Dom's life would be so much easier." Many of the women gasp but Natalya steps to Trish who raises to her feet. Natalya pushes her, roughly making her stumble backwards over the bench. Zoey helps her back to her feet, Natalya standing there with her arms crossed.
"Don't you talk about her like that. Without people like her it could have been a lot worse. She is doing everything she can to make the best out of a shitty situation and you need to respect that and not be so entitled." Natalya damn near growls, Nikki standing beside her nodding her head. Others agreeing and moving to the other side of the room, showing a clear divide between the women, a few stay clearly siding with Trish. Trish is back to her feet and shoves off Zoeys hands who was trying to check for injury.
"Yeah you would defend her, your kind always takes up for one another. That's why it is so damn hard for those of us who deserve the spotlight. We have to deal with you bitches." Trish retorts her tone conveying the level of disdain she has for Natalya and those like her. Natalya shifts her weight and continues to stare down Trish, the bench separating them.
"And what kind is that Patricia, the kind that day in and day out work out to better ourselves?" Natalya defends, doing her best to keep one of the worst kept secrets in the company safe. Knowing if Trish finds out it won't be long before the public at large knows.
"No, the kind that gets opportunities and everything else because of familial connections, you, cody, randy, raquel the lot of you. Its obvious to everyone here that she has some sort of connection in the industry outside of Dominik and now she gets handed a lucrative contract where she is guaranteed just as much if not more than any of us plus the royalties and more creative control than any of us get. We would have been suspended or fined for any of the shit she has pulled in the month she has been here. Paul dotes on her like his own kids, hell I'm willing to bet he bought her that tour bus. It couldn't be any more obvious." Trish lists out, counting off on her fingers each reason, the women around her agreeing while Natalya rolls her eyes.
"Please that can be anything, a favor to Rey most likely. Leave her alone or you'll have me to deal with, and I am pretty sure Rhea and a few others as well." Natalya threatens, Becky verbally agreeing before pulling Natalya away and out of the locker room to cool down.

Raw
Nessa and Damian are at Gorilla, watching Seth's entrance, Nessa rolling her eyes as the crowd sings along. Mercifully the cameraman signals it is time for Damian's promo. He grabs the back of Nessa's neck firmly and leads her over to where Cathy has introduced them, keeping his hand there as she asks her first question.
"Now Damian, is the loss to Bad Bunny still weighing on you heading into the triple threat match tonight?" Cathy asks and Nessa scoffs and chews her gum as Damian answers,
"So thats what you want to talk about huh? Fine. Bad Bunny did his thing, but after a brutal San Juan street fight, the name that's gonna live forever is Damian Priest, because it took an entire island to keep me down. And thanks to my beautiful girl im better than ever." Damian praises Nessa, showing the world he is not upset at her from what clearly happened backstage at backlash. Damian continues, "Now tonight, I plan by myself ... with my girl cheering me on... to put down Shinsuke Nakamura, By myself put down Seth Freakin Rollins, and then, well I guess we'll see whether its Finn Balor or Damian Priest that brings the world heavyweight championship home to the judgement day." He starts laughing as his music starts and he guides Nessa to the curtain, his hand still possessively on the back of her neck.
They get past the curtain and he finally releases her as he makes his entrance, a slight limp as they make their way down the ramp. They get to the apron and Damian turns to Nessa, pulling her to him by the back of her neck into a searing possessive kiss, to the roar of the crowd. He pulls back and Nessa bites her lip, her face flushed and her breathing shallow staring at his beautiful brown eyes getting lost for a moment. He pats her cheek bringing her back to the world and she steps back, walking around the ring ignoring seth making kissy faces at her as she joins the announce table.
"Nessa, welcome back to the announce table." Wade greets her, earning a smile from Nessa. Nessa takes the seat wade pulled out and thanks him.
"Thank you, I'm glad to be back here supporting my boyfriend and his quest for the world heavyweight championship. Seth and Shinsuke don't stand a chance." Nessa responds as shinsuke makes his entrance and Michael and Wade praise and are just genuinely excited that Shinsuke is back on raw.
"The first match of the world heavyweight championship is upon us, Seth Freakin Rollins, Damian priest and Shinsuke Nakamora." Wade explains and they all go quiet watching Shinsuke drop to the ground. Nessa is the first to speak.
"He has a flair for the dramatic and I for one appreciate it. He would probably win if he wasn't up against my man." Nessa praises, having to throw in praise for Damian as well.
"Yeah, I can honestly say that of the three it is almost too difficult to pick a winner or a favorite, all 12 men entered into the world heavyweight championship are deserving, are very very credible, potential future champions. Could you imagine their futures if they go on to may 27th and be crowned the world heavyweight champion." Wade explains and Nessa scoffs,
"I have no problem picking a favorite and the winner, it is the archer of infamy, Damian Priest." Nessa announces proudly.
"Well, we will see how it all shakes out tonight, the first of two triple threat matches and of course triple threat rules, the first superstar to gain pinfall or submission will be declared the winner." Michael explains as the bell rings and Damian immediately goes on the offensive, elbowing Shinsuke in the corner and going after Seth.
"You know speaking of your man Damian Priest, I saw how he grabbed you backstage. Perhaps there are issues between you and him after backlash and what you did with Rhea backstage after her win." Michael asks, and Nessa just keeps her head forward watching Damian throw Seth into a corner and punch him.
"First of all that is none of your business. The Judgement Day celebrates how we decide to celebrate. Nothing happened between me and Rhea backstage that would be considered cheating like you insinuated. Damian grabbed me like that simply because I like it and he does too now do your job and stay focused on the match instead of my sex life." Nessa warns him the threat clear in her voice and Wade chuckles calling out the match still.
"Oh big right hand from Damian priest who is just stomping the guts out of Shinsuke Nakamura." Wade calls out with Nessa applauding the show of dominance, worry in her eyes as she sees him favor his knee, both of them selling the "injury" from backlash.
"We talked about the leg of damian priest and how he'd fare tonight and he is off to a hot start here. The punishment of the judgement day" Wade excitedly calls out, Michael chiming in, "Notice Priest came up a little lame after delivering that impact in the corner to rollins, maybe You didn't do as good a job as he said" He taunts knowing that is going to annoy Nessa.
"I did everything in my scope of practice Michael, I am not a doctor and injuries even tweaks take time to heal, you should know that. Also even with a minor injury like this he is still the most dominant man in that ring, you would do well to show him that respect." Nessa shoots back, glancing at Michael, the glance turning into a glare when she sees him smirking.
"Well when you've got a veteran as skilled as Nakamura you have to be 100%" Wade comments as Damian is thrown out of the ring and Michael excitedly calls out Seth throwing Damian out of the ring.
"Seth Freakin Rollins, one of the first superstars to lock eyes with the world heavyweight championship saying that its more than politics and part timers." Wade explains as Seth and Shinsuke lock eyes from across the ring.
"Rollins knows what its like to be heavyweight champion" Michael starts explaining but Nessa cuts him off, trying to annoy him like he is her.
"Yeah, he know because seven years ago he hurt Finn which made him relinquish his title, Seth is well overdue for some payback be it from Papi or from my favorite demon Finn Balor." Nessa sits up and preens praising her stablemates for the wwe universe to hear.
"Well Shinsuke Nakamura was drafted to Monday night Raw for the very first time and I spoke with him earlier. He said he spend seven years on friday night smackdown and is thrilled to now be on monday night raw" Wade tries to change the subject because he saw Michael about to fight back with nessa. Damian leans against the barricade by Nessa and flirts with her, catching his breath until shinsuke slides out of the ring. Damian goes to kick him but misses, the leg landing on the apron of the ring and Shinsuke hitting him before pushing him back into the ring and positioning him to hit his head with a high knee. Shinsuke then gets on the apron and jumps up, landing on the back of Damian's head, Damian clutching where Shinsuke landed, and shinsuke getting back to his feet, yelling out as the adrenaline courses through his body. He blows a kiss at nessa who scrunches up, bringing her shoulders to her ears and sits further back in her chair as the timer for commercial starts and the match continues.
The timer shuts off signalling they are back on the air and Damian is in control in the ring, trading blows with seth,
"A raucous crowd here tonight witnessing the first round of the World Heavyeweight Championship tournament here on monday night raw. Seth Freakin Rollins, Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura." Wade continues to explain being the middleground, truly neutral between Nessa and Michael. Nessa groans as damian reverses the Irish Whip only to get kicked in the head by Seth who was countering Damians next move.
"Of course whoever emerges victorious from tonights tournament on Monday Night Raw will face the winner of smackdowns tournament on may 27th at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, and right now things are looking good for the visionary" Michael comments, sounding excited at the prospect that Seth might win. Nessa goes to retort but stops when Seth dives out of the ring onto Damian who hits the ground hard and rolls up the ramp while Seth quickly gets back up and re-enters the ring just to sprint across it and suicide dives out again this time on shinsuke, knocking him into the announce table. Michael and Wade are out of their seats and standing in front of Nessa who never moved. She looks up at the pair of men questioningly who just return to their seats, both of them talking about how no one and nowhere is safe. It clicks in Nessa's head Hunter probably makes them protect her if she isn't supposed to be touched during matches. Seth went to dive on Damian again who swings up and connects his fist to Seths head, stopping seths momentum and sliding in the ring himself.
"Priest put the breaks on in a hurry with that heavy right hand, is it that heavy on you Nessa. You said you both like it." Michael teases not realizing how that sounds.
"Michael, no, he does not lay a finger on me, doesn't even raise his voice at me. I like when he grabs me like he did backstage. He knows how to treat a woman and would never lay a hand on me like..." Nessa stops herself, remembering they are live and switches gears, "if you try to accuse him of harming me again you will find out first hand the harm he can do." Nessa threatens, getting back in character.
"Like who was it, ex con dom?" Michael pries, ignoring the match thinking it is part of the story, not realizing she slipped up. Wade however notices the shift in Nessa's mood and body language and continues to call the match and taps Michaels knee to signal a change of subject. The match goes on with tense commentary between Nessa and Michael who is confused as to why she is suddenly so cold to him but he holds off anymore prying questions and does his job of commentating the match.
Shinsuke goes to finish off seth but damian gets back in the ring and hits Shinsuke with a big clothesline, knocking him down.
"Priest takes out Shinsuke, out of nowhere, the punishment of the judgement day"Wade exclaims and michael ads on "Priest with only one more to beat" Damian goes to perform the south of heaven, "Priest wants a trip south of heaven but shinsuke is not ready" Michael calls out as shinsuke counters and begins kicking damian, targeting his injured leg. Shinsuke knocks Damian down and puts him in a knee bar. Damian screams out in pain and Nessa stands up unable to listen to him be in pain.
"He is never going to tap" Nessa states the obvious, looking on in worry. She breaths out a sigh of relief when Seth breaks up the hold. Nessa rips off her headset and runs over to Damian helping him out of the ring as seth pedigrees Shinsuke and pins him for the win. Like saturday Damian leans on Nessa as they make their way up the ramp and behind the curtain. Once behind the curtain he stops leaning on her as much but Nessa notices a true limp this time so she guides him to medical. Greeting some of the talent and crew along the way. Mercifully medical is close to gorilla so she can properly assess Damian's leg, the rest of the judgement day pushing in not long after they get there, knowing something was off the way Damian's limp changed from the beginning of the match.
"Priest are you ok" Rhea is the first to speak, bounding over to where Nessa is examining Damians knee with the doctor.
"Yeah I'm fine it's just a little sore from that knee bar, and Nessa is just worrying over nothing." He tries to wave it off but winces when Nessa gently pokes his knee.
"Yeah worrying over nothing, you have some swelling and it is tender to the touch" Nessa chides and turns to the doctor waiting to hear his diagnosis.
"Well without films it is hard to be sure, but i believe it is just tweaked. Just rest it till next monday. I'll let hunter know." The doctor leaves the room and nessa hmpfs and crosses her arms.
"I know I know you told me so, Lets go to our locker room." Damian holds out his hand and Dominik steps in and helps support Damians weight since he is taller than nessa or Finn and he didn't want finn to get hurt before his triple threat match.
__________________________________________________________________
Nessa leans against Damian, his arm thrown across her shoulders and Nessa's feet on Rhea's lap as Finn stretches and warms up for his match. Dominik lounges on a chair scrolling through something on his phone which makes him frown from time to time, The atmosphere in the room almost calm, a welcome change to the tenseness in the medical room. Nessa clears her throat to get their attention,
"Uh so Dom and I will be spending a couple days in san diego at his moms house because tomorrow i am going to meet with Kevin just to get answers." Nessa clarifies craning her neck to look at damian who kisses the tip of her nose but says nothing which Nessa appreciates so she continues. "I appreciate the support you guys are giving me about this. I uh also want to get my iud out and switch birth control because it hurts like all the time and i want to make the appointment for next week after raw since we don't have to do smackdown right now. It's just uh in the transition time for the birth control we will need a secondary form of well yeah..." Nessa trails off and Dominik snorts, finding it cute how shy she gets talking about this but the dirty nasty things she wants to do she is more open about.
"Well thats fine we will just get condoms and control ourselves when that happens. We don't want you in pain at all so if this is causing you pain it has to go. As for the other thing of course we are going to support you in all things, We have your back Mariposa." Damian squeezes his arm that is draped across her in a half hug and Rhea squeezes Nessa's calf.
"Yeah Luv it's not a problem" Finn agrees, jumping up and down as part of his warm up. When he feels adequately warmed up he walks over to where nessa is and kneels down in front of her.
"Can I have a kiss for luck Luv?" Finn asks, giving her his best puppy eyes. Nessa blushes and giggles, leaning forward and placing a chaste peck on Finns lips who smiles and pulls her into another quick kiss.
"With that, I'm sure I'll win A ChroĂŹ." He smiles and leaves the room to take his place at gorilla while the others coo at Nessa and how cute she blushes at Finn's affection. Together they watch from their locker room as Finn wins his triple-threat match.
A few minutes later Finn enters the room and Nessa gets up from the couch and bounds over to Finn giggling and throws her arms around his neck, he wraps her up in a bear hug, the awkwardness Nessa felt earlier having dissipated.
"Congratulations babe," Nessa pecks his cheeks and goes to pull back only for Finn to keep his arms around her waist,
"See Damian that's why you didn't win, you didn't get a good luck kiss from our little treasure. A stòr." Finn teases, swaying them back and forth. Damian crosses his arms and grumbles, "I'll remember that next time. Better make sure you get another good luck kiss for your match with seth later." Damian pouts at the empty spot Nessa left between him and Rhea. Dominik sees the opportunity and vacates his char and plops in the seat, splaying himself across both Damian and Rhea to the amusement of everyone.
"Come on A ChroĂ help me stretch out and stay warmed up for my match with seth since the others seem a little preoccupied. We may know the outcome of the match, but I need to be my best" Finn guides her to the empty spot he was using earlier.
"You know I wish they would let me come out with you too like I do with Luis," Nessa whines as she helps Finn stretch his legs.
"I know Luv, but your story is only with Damian, Rhea and Dom right now, more so with Rhea and Damian." Finn points out what they all know making Nessa huff in annoyance and drop his leg and stomp over to Damian and gently sits on his lap, careful of his now sore leg.
"Now come on don't be like that I was just stating the obvious." Finn pleads, he was enjoying Nessa's help.
"She didn't want you to state the obvious stupid , she wanted you to complain with her and offer for her to go out with you even though she wont." Dominik explains like it is the most obvious thing in the world, reaching over to play with a lock of Nessa's hair before Rhea pulls him away and towards the door.
"Yeah Fergalicious she just wanted agreement not sense, you'll learn. Though I thought you got that with me." Rhea jokes, pulling Dom out the door so they arent late for Rhea's match. Dominik closes the door behind them leaving Finn, Domain and Nessa in the room.
"I'm sorry Nes." FInn apologizes, contorting into another stretch but keeping his eyes on Nessa.
"I'm not mad Finn, you don't have to apologize. I'm just being a brat." Nessa waves off Finns apology, her tone apologetic, her face flushing when Damian whispers in her ear "keep acting like a brat and see what happens." and he nips at her ear. Nessa tries to get away but Damian holds her firm to his lap while Finn laughs. Nessa gives up and just leans against his chest, crossing her arms and watches as Dana brooke taps out. Nessa smiles at the strength Rhea shows, the most dominant woman in the WWE.
"She is rather sexy when she dominates like that isn't she." Damian whispers in her ear, toying with the hem of her pants but not going any further. He enjoys how her breath hitches in her throat and the goose pimples raising all over her body as he kisses her neck and whispers things he finds attractive about both of them and how dominant Rhea is. Nessa closes her eyes and leans her head back exposing more of her neck, ignoring the snickering from Finn and completely missing Rhea putting Dana back in the submission but Natalya interfering and standing to Rhea in the ring, staring her down. Nessa is just lost in the feeling of Damians calloused fingers gently tracing her skin just under the waist of her jeans, time being lost to her.
"If you don't pay attention Mariposa you are going to miss Rhea and Dom talking." Damian's deep voice sends shivers down her spine but she opens her eyes. "Good girl, see you arent a brat" Damian praises and Nessa preens at the praise, adjusting herself on his lap giving him easier access and more control. Damian ignores the movements, just continuing to kiss her neck and tracing her skin at the hem of her pants.
Finn watches on in interest, his stretching forgotten as he watches Nessa just melt, amazed at the trust she is showing and even more amazed that she watches the tv as directed. He wonders if she would be that pliable for him when he is ready to go all the way with her. Damian looks over to Finn and smirks, winking at his boyfriend before glancing to the tv noting that Dominik's match is almost over which signals that Finn needs to head to Gorilla. Finn groans and adjusts himself so that his current state isn't so obvious as he walks to the curtain ready to help put Seth over.

I held Liv close to me, cradling her head against my chest as my taxi pulled into the driveway, appreciating the moment for what it was. I didn't want to leave her to finish the tour, all I wanted to do was lie in bed with her in my arms.
I wanted to feel her warmth, trace her skin beneath my fingertips, and map out every curve of her body. I wanted to admire the way her small frame fit perfectly in my arms, her body melting into mine, and burn it into my mind in caseâ
No. I won't let that happen.
She looks up at me, her eyes heavy with repentance and melancholy. I cup her face delicately and ran my thumb across the apple of her cheek, reddened as the brisk air nipped her skin. I gave her a saddened smile, my lips pressed together as I felt my chest get tighter and tighter, knowing I had to let go of her.
I leaned down to kiss her and relished the way her lips felt against mine; soft, warm, full and comforting. They felt like home, and Christ, I was already homesick and hadnât even left yet.
"I love you," I mumbled against her mouth after kissing her for as long as I could. "I'll see you in a couple of weeks, okay?" I watched her eyes gloss over, and she gave me a quick nod. "Okay," she whispers. She doesn't say âI love youâ. I reluctantly release my hold on her and take a step back, my heart sinking from the lack of reciprocation.
I shouldered my bag and made my way to the taxi, halting once I reached the back door to look at her one last time. She was hugging herself and shivering, the sweater she wore not thick enough to keep her warm in the frigid December air. I could just barely make out the tremble of her lipsâI wasn't sure if it was from the cold or from holding back her emotions, but I wanted so badly to run back to her and make them stop.
I sent a timid wave her way and hopped into the backseat of the cab, and as we backed out of the driveway, I could see that she was crying. Her shoulders shook with each sob, her breath ghosting across her face with every exhale.
I watched her body get smaller and smaller as we drove away, and the vice constricting around my chest only got tighter as fear encased me. I didnât know what to expect in the near future, and that terrified me. Would I come home to her as an empty shell of who she was? To an empty home? To divorce papers laid out on the kitchen island?
These thoughts wreaked havoc in my mind, my heartbeat ricocheting loudly through my head, and I couldnât breathe. Each inhale was excruciating, my lungs felt like they were filled with mud and simply wouldnât expand with the air I so desperately needed. I found myself choking and pulled at my jacket, trying to take some weight off my chest so I could just fucking breathe.
I was having a panic attack. I havenât had one in years.
I tried my best to focus on something other than the way my lungs burned with each shallow breath that I took. The radio that was set on a low volume, the way the cab driver tapped his thumbs against the steering wheel along to the beat, the soft hum of the tires rolling over the pavement. Anything, something.
The last time that I had an attack, I was with Nick, and he helped me through it with the way he always kept his composure. He obviously wasn't here, but maybe if I called him, he'd be able to talk me out of it.
And so I did, somehow managing to get my phone out through the tunnel vision I had. He pulled me out of it by the time I made it to the airport. My head was clear, but breathing was still difficult, and during the flight, I started to cough.
-
"Sheesh, what happened to you? Liv give you two black eyes or somethin'?" I rolled my eyes at Folio's remark, him pointing out how dark the bags under my eyes were. "Yeah, something like that," I muttered, brushing past him to drop my bag at my bunk.
I was exhausted, mentally and physically, having barely slept the last couple of days due to not only the coughing and newly acquired sore throat, but the apprehension of whatever the fuck was going on with LivâI didn't even sleep soundly while with her.
Normally I would want to jump right into the next show as a way to busy my mind, but for once I was thankful that the only task of the day was traveling to the next venue. I was obviously coming down with a cold and just needed rest, and maybe a cup of tea to help soothe the pain in my throat.
I absentmindedly cleared my throat at the thought, regretting it immediately from the burn that came from doing so.
"I'll be back," I grumbled, keeping my eyes on the floor as I began to make my exit from the bus. "Wait, where are you going? We're leaving in like an hour," Folio calls after me. I glanced over my shoulder at him, "I'm grabbing a tea, is that alright with you?" I snapped, immediately regretting my tone from the way he threw his hands up in surrender. I sighed and shook my head at myself. "Sorry, I'm just not feeling well, Nick." He gives me a quick nod, "All good. I'll, uh... Give you a buzz if you're cutting it close." I return the nod, promptly stepping off the bus to find somewhere to get said tea.
Though the air wasn't particularly cold, the slight breeze sent a chill straight to my bones. I shivered and flipped my hood up, pulling the drawstrings tight before burying my hands in the pockets of my hoodie. I knew that this cold was gonna hit me hard if I didn't take the necessary precautions, and I dreaded it. Now was not the time for this.
After a few minutes of wandering, I found a coffee shop and entered it with a sigh of relief once the door blocked the wind upon shutting. I took a gander around the quaint cafĂŠ, which has almost a rustic feel to it with the neutral tones and weathered wooden tables. Music floats through the air softly, and I walk further inside with a subtle smile. It felt homey.
I stepped up to the counter, asking the young woman for a small chamomile teaâwith honey and lemon if available. She brandishes a friendly smile, and with a bounce in her step, she turns to prepare my tea. I notice how her ponytail of dark curls sprung loosely as she goes, and Iâm immediately reminded of Liv.
I smile sadly to myself, reminiscing the way she would move so blissfully behind the counter when Iâd pop in, preparing the chai that I regularly ordered. She would then join me at one of the tables with a cheery grin that reached her eyes, drinks and muffins in hand. She would tell me how her morning was going, ramble on enthusiastically about a new recipe or even new baking equipmentâI didnât mind what she talked about; I just admired the way her eyes sparkled with joy and the way her lips curled as she spoke.
âSir?â A small voice breaks me out of my thoughts. I blink, shaking the fog from my head, and notice the tea that was now sitting in front of me. A wedge of lemon and a serving of honey sat on a tiny platter beside it. âOh, sorry. Thank you,â I pressed my lips into a tight smile, reaching for the beverage. I quirked an eyebrow, noting it was quite large for the small I had ordered.
âYou look like you could use it,â the woman behind the counter says, most likely noticing the quizzical look I flashed at the cup. I grimaced at her wordsâdid I really look as bad as I felt? âThatâs very kind of you,â I chuckled timidly. âBut you didnât have to do that." She gives me a shrug, sliding the items closer to me. âI know,â she muses. I could feel the heat radiating against my fingers as she grins at me. âJust an act of kindness, is all. You look a little lost.â
I snickered lightly and averted my gaze to my hands, nodding. Ain't that the truth.
"Anyways, enjoy," she says happily. "I hope the tea helps." I chuckled, taking my items. "Thanks, me too. Have a good rest of your evening." I pressed my lips into another close-mouthed smile and brought the tea over to a vacant table. I settled into the seat, took the lid off to let it cool and added the honey and lemon to my liking.
I stared at the steam billowing from the cup for God only knows how long, just mulling over the last couple of days. The anguish and uncertainty on Olivia's face, the way I knew her heart was shattering piece by piece as the tears fell from her eyes, the realization that she wasn't happy.
I thought about the way she felt in my arms before I left and the way I saw her crying as I was driven further away from her, now wondering if that was the last time I'd get to hold her. That thought was a sucker punch straight to my chest, and I once again felt like I couldn't breathe. I needed to fix this.
My phone buzzes in my pocket; I dig it out, seeing Folio's name on the screen. "Yeah, I'm coming," I muttered into the receiver, hanging up before he had a chance to say anything. I sighed while standing from my seat, placing the lid back on my cup, and brought my waste to the garbage.
I hope the tea helps.
"Me too," I mumbled under my breath, taking a large sip before leaving the cafĂŠ.
-
A week and four shows later, I was feeling worse than ever. No amount of tea, medication, or rest seemed to have helped at all. The cough progressed into a deep whooping cough, and I would be genuinely surprised if my throat wasn't bleeding by the end of the night from how much it burned.
Still, I threw my stage attire on and tried to prepare myself for tonight's show regardless of everyone's weariness. We only had a week left of the tour, and I'd hate to make it this far only to cancel our remaining shows, ultimately disappointing our fans because of a stupid cold.
I popped two Cepacol in my mouth, refraining from speaking so they would dissolve faster to numb my throat. It was only a temporary relief, but I'd take what I could get at this point.
Nicholas makes his way over to me, his bass slung across his torso as he places a hand on my back. "You sure you're okay to be doing this?" I nodded, avoiding the look of concern that I knew was strewn across his face. "I'm just getting worried, man. Last time this happened, you wound up in the hospital from smacking your head off the floor." "I'll be fine," I grumbled, beginning to walk away. "That was just pneumonia." "But the time before thatâ" I stopped dead in my tracks, spinning on my heel to look at him. "Don't. Don't fucking say it, Nicholas," I barked.
His lips remained parted, the words he wanted to say frozen in place from my hostility. His eyes danced over me, and I knew he could see how my chest was heaving. He knows how hard it is for me to breathe, he knows that it feels like there's a ton of bricks sitting on my chest. He knew the situation between me and Liv, and I knew what he was thinking, but I couldn't bear to hear it.
"I'm fine," I tell him once more while telling myself that it's just pneumonia. He straightens up, snapping his mouth shut, and nods. "Okay," he says, barely audible. I watched him swallow, his Adam's apple bobbing while his eyes bounced between mine apprehensively. He's searching for the sincerity in my words that I didn't have. I put my in-ears in, and with a staggering breath turned to head towards the stage, unable to keep looking at his sorrow-filled eyes.
Performing tonight was proven to be one of the most difficult tasks I've ever endured. With each falsetto note, razors dug into my throat, and my lungs rattled painfully with each breath. I was wheezing, trying my best to not erupt into a coughing fit until I finished whatever song we were playing. There were times when I just simply couldn't, and Jolly had to cover some of the vocals for me.
I could tell Jolly wasn't happy with me, aggravation heavy in his features as he glanced at meânot because he had to sing, but under the circumstances as to why he had to. He was the one who tried harder than anyone in our crew to get me to sit out and cancel the show, but of course, my stubborn ass just wouldn't do that. I couldn't.
We had one last song before our encore, and I was relieved knowing that I'd be able to take a breather soon. As I began the opening of 'Just Pretend', the crowd erupted in a roaring cheer like I knew they would. Normally the energy would radiate through me, giving me this high, this adrenaline that could make me run a marathon, but as the second verse hit, everything made a turn for the worse.
I know the pain That you hide behind the smile on your face And not a day Goes by where I don't think I feel the same
All I could see was the forced smile on Olivia's face from all those times I would tell her I'd make it up to her, or as of late when I told her that I loved her. The smile she had when she opened her Christmas present, that quickly faltered and turned into tears when she confessed that she felt this marriage was falling apart.
I can wait for you at the bottom I can stay away if you want me to I can wait for years if I gotta Heaven knows I ain't getting over you
It was ironic, how this song I wrote that was more or less a joke, was suddenly so fucking relatable.
We'll try again When we're not so different We will make amends Til then I'll just pretend
My heart sank as I continued to sing the words, tears springing to my eyes, and I squeezed them shut before the cameras around me would notice. I was losing Olivia, and it was fucking killing me. The more I thought about it, the more I struggled to breathe. The razors in my throat were suddenly in my lungs, and each inhale was more painful than the last. I couldn't handle the searing pain in my chest and throat for much longer.
I choked on my last inhale, my eyes shooting open in a panic as I gasped for air. The mic slips from my hand, feedback screeching through the speakers as it tumbles on the stage. I covered my ears quickly, the sound piercing through me and shooting a chill down my spine. There's a chorus of gasps, and I know the crowd is most likely in shock by the way I stopped singing so abruptly.
I ran off the stage from not only humiliation but hysteria, coughing relentlessly. Everything hurt so fucking badâthe fire in my throat, the vice around my chest, my heart shattering into a million pieces, and of course that dreadfully familiar pain in my lungs as something clawed into me on its way out.
I buckled and collapsed, catching myself on my hands and knees. The hacking never subsided, even after I finally expelled what was in my lungs. Through teary eyes, I saw the blotches of red on the floor below me and knew that my biggest fear had come true. The coughing was soon replaced by sobbing as the rose petals stared back at me, and tiny thorns scattered aboutâI lost Olivia.
She doesn't love me anymore.

Bad Idea
Media The Maze Runner
Character Newt
Couple Newt X Reader
Rating Sexy + Flirty
Concept Argument
Requested Anonymous asked:
Hiii i really love your fics and I would like to ask if you haven't already done it where newt and reader get into an argument about her being a runner because you scared that she'll get hurt or even worse die but it ends all with fluff and there was also wondering if you could make it to where he normally calls her love but whenever he gets really mad he calls her by her name Thanks xxx
"I don't think this is a good idea love," Newt says leaning on the wood inside the meeting hall his hoodie around his waist and his arms across his chestÂ
"You say that about everything I do"
"...I mean you do have a track record of bad ideas"
"What no I don't!"
"What about that time you tried to build bunk beds as a hammock alternative and ended up breaking Ben and Zart's legs?"
"One time. Maybe if Zart went on top as I told him to It wouldn't have collapsed. I told Ben he was too heavy for the top bunk"
"No, you used a total of four screws on the whole thing"
"Fine one time. Not like I make a lot of bad ideas?"
"What about that time you set fire to a tree because you thought it would clear all the green foliage and smaller beaches leaving only the main tree to cut down but it got way out of control and you burnt down half the deadheads?"Â
"I admit the dryness of the wood was an unforeseen circumstance, and the trees being too close together"
"What about that time you got the smart idea to cook a bunch of mushrooms you found behind the showers and gave the whole glade food poisoning"
"I was fine"
"What about that time you tried to build a 'outdoor bath'"
"That would have worked if you hadn't stopped me"Â
"Now we just have a huge damp hole"
"Not all my ideas are bad"
"This one is"
"Why?"
"Love your not cut out to run in the maze every day"
"Yes I am"
"No youâre not, it's a lot of running, a lot of work, a lot of memorising" he explainedÂ
"You can do it why can't I?"
"Because love it's a tough job"
"It's because I'm a girl isn't it"
"It's not because you're a girl."
"Then why can't I be a runner"
"Look love the maze is big and harsh and dangerous for a girl like youâ
"So it is because I'm a girl!"
"It's not because you're a girl!"
"Then why!"
"Love the maze is dangerous, it changes every day, it's hard to navigate, you could get lost, you could trip on a vine and twist your ankle, hell there's cracks and blocks you could break your leg on. And we don't have time for someone to go out and find you if something bad happenedâŚ"
"I'd have a running partner"Â
"That's not the point you could get really badly hurt in the maze"
"So could you"Â
He sighed "love⌠I can't in good conscience send you out into the maze. I just can't. You could get hurt, badly hurt. If you got lost or something bad happened, what if you got locked out after the doors shut one day? We'd never see you again. Something could happen so easily in there it's just not safe"
"But I want to help, I feel like klunk stuck in the glade doing laundry and cleaning I feel useless newt I want to help you guys another pair of feet out there can't be a bad thing"Â
"It's just too dangerous, love. You could die."Â
"So could you"
For a moment there was silence
"It's not your decision anyway"
"I may not be the keeper of the runners but I'm second on command and I'm telling you no."
"But I wanna be a runner!"
"And in telling you no! It's too dangerous it's not happening!"
"You can't stop me! I'll just go on my own"
"You are not going out on your own"
"I am"
"Like bloody hell you are!"Â
"You can't stop me!"
"Y/n enough!"Â
I froze up the moment he said thatÂ
"Y/n enough, I'm second in command your not being a runner and you're not to go in the maze that's final"Â
"You⌠you've never called me that before"
"...well⌠you've never made me that mad before," he says shuffling his feet
"Do you really think it's too dangerous?"
"For you. Yeah. I've lost a lot of friends to this place ⌠I can't lose you too"Â
"Well then how do you think I feel? Watching you run off in there every day. If you don't think it's safe for me how do you think that makes me feel watching you run off in there knowing youâŚmight not come back"
"You don't have to worry about me love. I can take care of myself"Â
"Then don't you trust that I can take care of myself?"Â
He sighed "Okay⌠I'll have a word with Minho about it I can't promise anything, But you're going through training at least a month before you even step foot through those doors you hear me"Â
"Thank you newt!" I smiled hugging him tightly
"I'm not making any promises. And I'll be the one training you so don't expect me to be nice"
"I won't" I smiled squeezing his skinny body
"JustâŚbe careful y/n, okay?" He says petting my hairÂ
"I will, don't you trust me?"
"I do I just⌠I worry about you"
"Well, I'm sure my running partner will keep me nice and safe" I smiled rubbing my nose on hisÂ
"Now that is a bad idea"
"Why? The best person to make sure I'm being kept safe is you, and you'll be doing my training anyway so best to keep us in a rhythm and you can just be my running partner"Â
"That is a very bad idea"
"Why?"
"Well, once we leave we're in the maze officially out of albyâs glade rules, all alone in the maze together," he suggested stroking the small of my backÂ
"I'm not seeing the bad yet?"
"Well, I'm hardly going to want to focus on memorising maze patterns am I? I think I'd be far interested in a different type of exploring" he smirkedÂ
"I'm still not seeing what's bad about that?"
"You wouldn't" he smirked tugging me into a kiss which I smiled and happily kissed back it immediately turning into a rather slow but sloppy make-out till he pulled back "Come on love, how about we go do a little endurance training?"
"Ohh will my legs get tired?"
"Most definitely" he smirked "but if you push through it you'll get a very special reward" he smiled kissing my head before we headed out towards my little privet hut in the deadheads.
