So for a 120hz display what will be the best use case scenario ?Limiting the fps value by RTSS to 59 fps and turn on FG ?Set ingame fps limit to 120 and turn on FG ?The goal is to enjoy high frame rate fluidity but also avoid screen tearing and unnecessary GPU stress.Also in Point.1 , is RTSS or Radeon Chill limit ? which one is better in frametime and latency ? A AMD está preparando os novos processadores Ryzen Z2, produzidos para os dispositivos gaming portáteis e que promete trazer diversas melhorias à categoria.
As APUs serão baseadas na versão “Strix Point“, fabricadas em 4nm e que trazem uma iGPU atualizada – assim como uma contagem maior de núcleos de processador. A intenção é competir diretamente com os SoCs “Lunar Lake-MX” da Intel, baseados na linha Core Ultra 200V – como é o caso do MSI Claw 8 AI+.
Vale lembrar que a iGPU utilizada nos AMD Ryzen AI 300 possuem 16 unidades computacionais, contra apenas 12 que foi vista na série “Phoenix” – representando um acréscimo de 33% em termos numéricos, além do uso da arquitetura inédita RDNA 3.5, que traz aprimoramentos de eficiência energética e é otimizada para uso da memória LPDDR5.
É dito que a ASUS está produzindo sua próxima geração de dispositivos portáteis ROG Ally com processadores AMD Ryzen Z2. Relatos apontam que ele pode segurar até 1 hora de gameplay com Black Myth: Wukong em uma carga completa – algo que nem mesmo o ROG Ally X, modelo mais recente da fabricante com Z1, conseguiria.
Não foi revelado pela AMD e suas parceiras comerciais se o Ryzen Z2 usará os 12 núcleos (4 núcleos Zen5 + 8 núcleos Zen5c) ou se terá uma configuração diferente no lançamento. Mais informações sobre o chip devem ser divulgadas futuramente, provavelmente em conjunto com os dispositivos portáteis em que ele estará equipado.
É importante notar que a AMD tem uma série de recursos que podem também serem utilizados nos próximos dispositivos portáteis com Ryzen Z2. Além dos recursos de inteligência artificial, que podem ser usados em conjunto aos sistemas acompanhados do Windows 11, também há possibilidade do uso da AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF).
Ainda não há confirmação de quais dispositivos usarão o novo processador além da ASUS, mas também existem grandes expectativas para um modelo inédito do Steam Deck em um breve futuro. This is an increase of 7.5 GB from the 512 MB baseline “dedicated” vRAM allocation that occurs after a reboot.
Go to the Adrenalin application’s “Performance” Tab and choose “Medium” or “High” to activate it. On PCs with AMD Ryzen AI 300 series CPUs, VGM will enable games that are hard programmed with minimal vRAM needs to function as intended. In games with high memory turnover, Variable Graphics Memory may also somewhat increase frame rate (by eliminating overflow from the default allotment of 512 MB).
AMD AFMF 2
Performance will vary based on the specific game and settings that are utilized. They would want to know about your experiences with AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2, VGM, and HYPR-RX. Before activating AFMF 2, AMD advises fine-tuning the game parameters to be able to sustain an FPS of 50 (1080p) on mobile platforms such as AMD Ryzen AI 300 series CPUs. By meeting the minimal vRAM requirements, turning on VGM also enables games like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy to run on AMD Ryzen AI 300 series PCs.

O ROG Ally, mini-PC portátil para jogos da Asus, recebeu um update nesta semana com diversas melhorias, incluindo suporte a AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF). Depois da atualização, o console deve mostrar imagens mais fluidas e responsivas.
A tecnologia AFMF usa geração de frames para melhorar a taxa de exibição dos jogos, e vem integrada ao HYPR-RX. Ou seja, usuários do ROG Ally precisam apenas ligar o HYPR-RX que o Fluid Motion passará a funcionar automaticamente.
O suporte ao recurso de geração de frames da AMD não é a única novidade trazida pela atualização, como seria de se esperar. Outras melhorias menores também são listadas pela Asus, como, por exemplo:
