the weird thing was in the original page, when the characters were still doll's characters--gustav being gunter and mackenzie being afkinz (a male character), gunter told him to get off the stage bc he thought afkinz's performance was terrible, while afkinz yelled YOU JUST DIDN'T GET IT! while wearing his goofy cat head, which was 1: actually kinda funny, and 2: doesn't make gunter look like a *complete* asshole, because at least he just didn't like his act? instead of just sending a student away without even seeing what they did at all and telling them they're worthless. i'm not sure why she changed it with mackenzie

Yeah I kind of wish people didn't portray this old bit of drama as one sided as they often do. Either it's "Viv did nothing wrong actually and did pay, Dollcreep blew it all out of proportion and is a creep" or "Viv literally stole everything from Dollcreep and got nothing and she continues to still bad mouth him to this day". Like this has been an ongoing back and forth so long I saw ppl bringing it up when ZP first got brought to the attention of the badwebcomicswiki forums.

From what I remember, as an "old" Viv fan who peaced out from watching her before Die Young but kept tabs on her fandom once I saw there was smoke in the distance, this is what I can personally point too:

>From wever they met - 2011/2013ish Doll and Viv were besties. They collabed all the time and more distinctly Doll's characters (Gunther, Addison's boyfriend and Afkinz, Tom's partner specifically) would appear as permanent residents of the ZP universe at that time.

>Viv and Doll met up irl in 2012/2013. I have no clue what happened between them and honestly it's none of my business but either before or during that trip they began their skism.

>By 2014 Viv had bought some of Doll's characters for her to officially own and sell as her own, Jiji->Jayjay, Gunther->Gustave, and Afkinz->Mackenzie, in the world of ZP. I think by then she was committed to the Die Young video and beginning work on it.

>Unbeknownst to me (I only found out after the fact thru drama blogs), Viv started to not credit Doll as being the designer of Jayjay in posts and I think maybe also told him to his face that she wouldn't credit him in the video when it came out. Doll got MAD. He shot back, then Viv shot back, their mutual friends on the sidelines are all kind of in the line of fire, and of course Viv and Doll's stans are at war over this.

Independent of Viv's skisms, I kind of view this situation as being a big problem with adoptable culture. Unlike accusations of Viv not paying her animators, managing her time on her shows and her treatment of former employees -this feels far more like a private issue between friends that got ugly cuz it got public.

At most you could make the argument that it's proof of the "don't hire your friends"-mantra for the indie scene, but idk.

Just putting this out there: dollcreep has a set of OCs who are canonically an incest couple. A mad scientist and his son of whom he does human experiments on.

And peices depicting this dynamic have been delibratley framed as desirable/"uwu soft".

Viv had made a callot on Dollcreep in responce to having been harassed by them over the entire sparkledog Jiji drama. It didn't biging and end with "I want more credit", dollcreep actually tried to extort/blackmail money from her to my memory back when that debacle was happening in real time.

If this is all true, then certain people need to stop defending him.. If you could send in some screenshots of that or the callout made by Viv, that would be helpful! /gen

Who is your top ten fav out of all Viv"s ocs(includes Hazbin Zoophobia Timber etc) and your ocs?

Oh that's actually a good question. Well I'm gonna start with Viv’s OCs-

1. Magpie- I'm not sure what it is about her, but god I love her design!!

2. Tom- I like bad bois ok hjskdkhddjdh-

3. Afkinz- not Mackenzie, the one Mackenzie replaced. I honestly like the older character than the new one, I felt like her character was a lot more better than her replacement-

4. Elijah- snake bois are best bois 

5. Damien- honestly who doesn't love this boy

6. Addison- gay cutie, I used to be fangirl for him-

7. Zechariah- his design is cool-

8. Fabian- flirty fox with long floof tail? Hecc yeah I like dat-

9. JayJay- best wolf-

10. Nightingale- she looks too precious honestly

Alright now my characters-

1. Bri- she's been my first ever oc and I still love her as a character

2. Patch- I love this guy. Just who he is as a character really makes him a favorite of mine

3. Dixie- She's a happy girl. Gotta love that-

4. Persephone- love her design the most out of all my characters 

5. Marionette- I don't post a whole lot of her but her character, design and personality make her a favorite of mine

6. Tanya- one of my first HHNGs, I need to post more of her

7. Sugar- sweet bunny needs love-

8. Trish- she's my favorite out of my wolf characters

9. Gale- Gay unicorn needs le attention

10. Willow- I need to draw her more

In terms of those old ass drawings from more than literally 5 YEARS ago, she's stated before that she isn't particularly proud of them now and that it's something she isn't particularly fond of (albeit she didn't state this publicly so do what you will with that) She isn't actively endorsing Zoophilia and pedophilia and I seriously doubt she's the same exact person she is now. Chances are the pics aren't even on her DA anymore, and for good reason. Can't say I'm sure but it wouldn't surprise me if they were gone. I doubt she'd endorse artwork of that kind of fashion nowadays.

Secondly, "Jiji" was purchased under contract from an individual named Dollcreep. Dollcreep and Vivienne were friends and both drew eachother's ocs from time to time and Viv had actually purchased Jiji (who became Jayjay), Afkinz (Who's now McKenzie) and the dude who's now Gustav, (Used to be Gunter I think?????)) or the purple haired snake dude. Reason why she changed their name was because Dollcreep and Viv actually had a schism during a certain point in their relationship, and Dollcreep wasn't exactly treating her well. They were in an abusive friendship, and Viv was the victim. As a way to get away from the original concepts which Dollcreep created, Vivienne renamed them on purpose. JayJay is HER character. It's been her character for a while, I'm not sure why people are blindly following this like this is something new.

I'm not saying her old actions and old artwork were ok by any standards, but y'all acting like she's going out here and condoning actual beastiality and pedophilia is outright slander, and y'all should be ashamed of yourself. I'm not even that big of a fan of hers anymore, and this is coming from someone who's criticized her childish behavior in the past, and I myself even know those screenshots are missing TONS of context that nobody decided to look up for themselves. Intriguing how this is happening only now as her HH pilot is kicking into gear.

While I don’t condone that behavior, I’m not finding any piece of evidence for that. The only drama I’m aware of is because of a character design she made jointly and got her credit erased from the design.

Reading Viv's callout post for DollCreep is kinda frustrating tbh. I wasn't there and none of us know exactly what the dynamic was like but that's why evidence is provided in these callout posts. To convince us that DollCreep is really bad. but.. the evidence provided isn't really on her side?

DC doesn't seem nice, exactly, but I'm not really feeling a lot of malicious intent? Not in the messages where they have normal-ish conversations and when their friendship still kinda existed? I'm not feeling much actual intent on abuse? I've been through some pretty nasty abusive relationships and I can understand being sensitive sometimes and needing a little more assurance but I don't think I'm comfortable calling DC totally abusive? Not without more evidence.

DC has an obsession with copying which isn't healthy. I dunno if I agree with him that the Viv ocs are copies but that also is more of an issue on his part rather than an intent on abusing Viv. I feel like there's gotta be more to that story.

Some of the messages seems more like critique than anything. The whole "those teeth look weird in your style" posts are more critique than abuse. It's not a nice way of phrasing it but DC doesn't seem delicate in general? His language is casual-harsh from the messages. Not horribly cruel? Maybe?

DC seems kind of exhausted with Viv saying the relationship wasn't healthy. To be honest it's probably not a healthy relationship and these two should've just stopped talking a long time ago. When DC does cut Viv off it seemed like it had been a long time coming. I've had to do something similar in my own life. Just sometimes on a certain day you chose to do it. It's not always because of a big blowout it can just be exhaustion. and if panic attacks were happening on the regular then it's not a bad thing they cut each other out.

DC gave Jiji to Viv as something of a peace offering. and in that message in particular (not underlined by Viv) Doll mentions that the copying obsession and character credit issue IS a personal problem that they're trying to work through. Something that isn't acknowledged in the rest of the callout. Viv obviously knows he has an issue with this subject and I feel like she could've spared a little more grace in acknowledging this is a personal problem for him. It's wrong for him to feel that way but it's clearly not just a 'DC is an asshole' situation. It's a mental issue. A hangup. A really nasty and unhealthy mental hangup.

His Afkinz stuff about Viv saying 'It's my story' in her underlined bits.. She bought Afkinz from DC. It seems like he's offering his own thoughts based on the character concept he created. He's not demanding anything just saying what he would've done with the character concept he created? Again, not in a NICE way but still.

I understand why Viv would remove part of DC's credit in Die Young but I still think she shouldn't have. She was angry at him but it doesn't change that it was a bad decision. In the art world credit is more highly valued than it is anywhere else and 'special thanks' doesn't mean much in comparison to a design credit.

Some of the parts towards the end are a bit.. weird. I dunno why she put up the original Jiji art mixed with rp logs to.. make fun of Jiji? The character made by DC was obviously a parody of scene girls.. not a real serious character. So it seems strange to say "wow so smart and original". She wasn't a character used in a real project so..

She's calling DC a stalker for just.. visiting her blog? I don't think that's terribly unusual? and Viv rants and talks about DC about as much as he did her? So.. I think they were both being annoying about all of this.

He made a crappy drawing of Viv.. but Viv made Jojo. So.. According to the writing under the drawing this was made AFTER Viv made Jojo. So.. I don't understand why she's shocked when she did the same thing first? and the 'dislikes' part is pretty.. concerning.

I really feel uncomfortable with Viv pointing out DC's characters that do 'extremely disturbing' things. Why even put this here? It adds nothing to the allegations and serves to shame DC. Especially when Viv does the same thing in romanticizing abusive relationships. Which.. I personally don't think is always wrong in every circumstance. and I know Viv doesn't see that as wrong either considering her OWN characters. So the only reason she put it there is to shame DC.

All in all. Pretty wild? I do think DC was a bad friend and they had a very toxic relationship but.. This is also something that should've been handled privately? Callouts really only need to happen if there's a clear and present danger to the general public. Nothing DC did was a danger to anyone but him and Viv. They should've went their separate ways and never spoken about each other again.

Instead this happened. Making it public was such a horrible idea and did nothing positive at all. It COULD NOT have had a positive outcome.

I think that's my takeaway from the whole thing too. DollCreep was no saint and they seem like they were both bad for each other, but from what we've heard of DollCreep, they seem to have disappeared, grown up, and become a better person. Vivzie hasn't.

Also, Dollcreep made a crappy drawing of Viv. Viv made a transphobic caricature of Dollcreep. Viv, you don't get a checkmark on that one.
