"happy holidays post-it-notes! 🎄🥳 i know you very politely only wished for a few modest things- characters high fiving, or struggling in christmas attire- but i hope you'll still enjoy this given that i kinda went the opposite direction entirely! i'm an enormous fan of your work and most times you post anything i wind up browsing your art tag from tip-to-tail in enraptured delight. as such, i thought it was only fair i give back something a little more significant in gratitude for all the joy your work has given me.
i knew i wanted to do a comic, so i was thrilled you already had a whole storyverse for me to work from!! this scene seemed the most obvious choice (chapter 8 of "wishful thinking" on ao3) given that i enjoy a dramatic fight scene 😂 i tried to stick as beat-by-beat to the writing as i could and worked in as many details as possible; i hope it'll be fun to see it envisioned this way! merry christmas!

I'll be sayin' goodbye to Hazel in a couple hours, so I'll be closin' the Asks for today. She'll be on her way to Hoenn, and fortunately won't be leaving her Zekrom here at the ranch, but I'll be taking care of her team while she's away catching new friends!
It was a blast, thank you everyone who participated in this lil' event! And thank you for the questions!!!
They quietly drank tea together, enjoying the family atmosphere, quietly discussing plans for a picnic tomorrow. Gavus got up from the table to clear the empty plates and make more tea, but when he turned his back to the guys, Liberti choked on his tea, and Lucilla's face fell in surprise. As soon as Gavus heard that his son was choking, he immediately went up to him and lightly tapped him on the back to help.
— Kha-Kha, Dad, what happened to your back!? — clearing his throat, the teenager exclaimed.
— What? — The celestial's face expressed bewilderment.
— Why do you have scratches all over your back!?— As soon as Libertius said that, the man immediately blushed and his gaze darted. While he was thinking about what to say, Eugene decided that it was necessary to save the situation.
— It was a cat!— Hypogean shouted sharply, jumping up from the table and rattling the dishes.
— The cat? — the twins said together. Except Lucilla already had a malicious grin on her lips.
— Yes, yesterday, when Gavus and I were walking, we, uhhhh, came across a cat that was stuck in a tree, here. And your angel-daddy decided that it was necessary to save the poor guy. Isn't that right, Gavus?– Eugene looked at him expectantly, hoping that he would think to agree to this little lie.
— Uh, yeah. Yes, it was a cat... — Gavus nodded slowly, agreeing with Eugene's story.
— Yeah, the cat,— Lucilla said sarcastically and looked slyly at Eugene, whose ear tips were already several shades darker. Oh, her little innocent brother, fell for this lie so easily. Well, she would explain everything to him, tonight.
