Thank you, Mira. Farewell, BLADE.
(Link to a proper full resolution view version of this picture, without tumblr's compression)
While X' servers were still up and running, I spent a lot of time wandering around Mira, tracking down other players' Crosses, and screenshotting them whenever they had what I would consider a "farewell message". And the other day, reddit user NoodleTF2 posted a compilation of places where other players' Crosses can appear on Mira, which featured several people that I never saw (or never saw outside of menus). This big chonker of a picture (seriously, it's 5850 x 4320 - make sure to look at it in a full view!) is the result of me compiling every single ones of these farewell messages into one singular pic. The centrepiece is an edited screenshot of my own, since I obviously couldn't screenshot my own Cross, and thought that the sunset view of NLA made for a good middle of it all.
Thank you for everyone who came together in X' last days. You all made the end something to remember.

Aeviann: new URL and new art-sideblog!
Heya everyone <3
I thought it was time for a change and also time to organize things a little more, so I decided to open a new sideblog where I will post all my art from now on!
Since I go by aeviann practically everywhere I decided that it would make more sense to use my old URL (aeviann) for my new artblog and get a new one for my main blog (this one here) THIS MEANS: -This blog (formerly aeviann.tumblr.com) will now go by baevi.tumblr.com! - My new artblog will use the the old URL aeviann.tumblr.com! I'll only use this blog for reblogs from now on (although I haven't decided where I wanna post all my cosplays yet), so if you're interested in lots of Fire Emblem, Zelda and Xenoblade stuff and the occassional classical art meme and whatnot, you're more than welcome to stay!
If you are interested in my art, please consider to give my new artblog a follow~ https://aeviann.tumblr.com/

Lucia plays Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn: Part 4 Endgame Part 1
It's honestly a good thing that the Endgame is seperated into multiple parts, because oh my god it would make for such an enormous post if it wasn't.
So, everyone finally re-convening at the same spot. And hey, here's Caineghis! Didn't plan on using him, but cool to see that he's here.
Uh-oh, dragons joined Ashera! Well, I guess that still had to be resolved in some way, and this being a Fire Emblem game a fight is the "best" way to do it.
Base conversations! So Renning joins, which was just about obvious. He seems like a Cool Dude™, but there's no way I'm using him at this point. The friend I was streaming this all for also cautioned me against it from her own bad experiences, so. . . sorry, Renning.
Stefan's conversation: honestly not too surprising that the entire "reason" for the Branded being outcasts was based on a lie, but it still must have been pretty devastating to outright hear it like that. I do have to wonder how somebody like Micaiah or Soren would react to that information? . . .Actually, come to think of it - they even could have fit in Micaiah's reaction here, since it's Yune possessing her. Urgh, the whole possession really comes as a detriment to her character. . .
The dragon conversation: uhhh, a lot a of heavy and deep stuff with that one. This sort of thing is honestly one of the strengths of this game, I feel - the entire dragon drama is something that happens completely independently from both Ike and Micaiah, but it still works out just fine because these characters were properly established beforehand. In contrast to that, it often just sometimes feels in the other games that politics can't happen without the protagonists, even in Three Houses. And here in Tellius you not only got this dragon plot, but also the whole thing with Tibarn, Naesala, Reyson, and just the various bird tribes in general.
Caineghis - uhhh, we're getting Greil's axe! Ike didn't really have the rank to use it, but Titania did. So since Urvan is not locked to Ike, I just gave it to her instead - it just felt appropriate to me.
Couldn't get the conversation with Volke because I couldn't recruit him. But reading it up on the wiki:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I missed some gold on this one.
Ashera summons undead soldiers to fight, Yune despairs, and. . . Ike gives her a talking to. At this point I just wanna say, shoutout to @aeviann for making me think with her sketch of this scene (and a whole bunch of other banger sketches, but those are beside the point here) that this is some kind of soft and tender scene between Yune and Ike when it starts with Ike pulling at her ears. It still is a good scene in the end, but that's not the tone I was expecting it to start out with!
And Micaiah finally promotes! Clearly the only reason it's happening now is because Yune had not yet figured out how to kick herself in the nuts.
So, unit selection. The character I went with here are:
Ike, Micaiah, Kurthnaga and Ena (obviously), Soren (needs to be there with Ike. Do not seperate), Titania (because oh my god I love women), Nephenee (same as before), Sothe (I think he was a forced deployment?), Sanaki and Elincia (just felt necessary to bring them), Lucia (how could I not? Also, do not seperate her and Elincia. . . which I say as if I didn't pick Lucia before Elincia), Jill (I picked her over Haar because let's face it, he'd trivialize everything too much), Gatrie (because me and my friend were really rather memeing him up by this point, and I wanted more lance users), Tibarn, Naesala and Reyson (my friends' certified bird blorbos making them my blorbos-in-law, so they had to be there. But let's be honest, I also like them a lot), and last but most certainly not least, Vika. My own personal bird obsession in this game.
At this time I also finally used the option to smith some weapons. Says a lot about my money troubles in this game that I'm only getting to it now. . .
Heading into the tower - I have to say, I really dig the visual design in here. Reminds me a lot of Dragonspiral Tower from Pokémon Black and White and their sequels.
So the script at this point shows a flashback scene, but. . . I think those only unlock on subsequent playthroughs? I don't think I got it, at least.
Ahh, we're finally taking care of Lekain! The guy did surprise me by being more noteworthy of a villain than I thought he'd be, but at the end of the day, he's still a small fry compared to what is to come here. If him being the boss of the first stage here is any indication, I mean.
So, here's a fun detail I noticed during this map: if a character is muted (as in, unable to use magic), they can't actually do these mini support-conversations. Which makes sense I guess, but. . . pfft.
Battle conversations - so I didn't send Reyson against Hetzel, but. . . damn, he got a good line if they do end up fighting each other. "I was born this way [he means beautiful], and mere birth is not praiseworthy. Praise me instead for my strength. What I look like is irrelevant, so long as I have the power to protect my friends."
For Lekain, I sent in Naesala - and ha, I knew that he also had a blood pact!
And with him gone, that's two blood pacts taken out. There really was a lot already going on in this first part.

Flowers For The Girls
After the events surrounding Dadaan’s defeat, Pongo takes a mission to make things right. Worried sick, @killerdraco ‘s Draco, @eienias20 ‘s Jaynix, and @aeviann ‘s Aeviann go to find him, and what they discover is shocking.
Another day, another round of missions. Pongo waited patiently near the BLADE Concourse, expecting a new batch of missions to pop up at any moment. The day had just begun for many BLADEs, but he had been up and about for a good while, stocking up on coffee and sweets to power him through another workload. He was excited to see where his missions would take him today, and as the board refreshed, he scanned over the options with a big grin. Would he go on a gathering adventure? Take down a tyrant? The possibilities were endless!
One mission immediately caught Pongo’s eye. It was labeled under the bounty missions with a massive reward - though this was never what Pongo looked for in a job. Opening the details, he ran over the briefing as BLADEs walked past.
Dadaan, the Strongest Prone, has been sighted in Scabland Fortress. Has been a threat on numerous occasions. Believed to have cybernetic enhancements giving him increased strength and agility. Approach with extreme caution. Kill on sight.
Dadaan.
Memories flickered inside Pongo’s conscience, back when he and his friends had been tasked with defeating him the first time. He remembered how Draco, the strongest BLADE he’d ever known, had been crushed like a bullet fly under a boot, how Aeviann had delivered the final blows before collapsing, how he and Jaynix had to carry their friends back to the city. They had won, but they felt defeated. Pongo couldn’t face them the same way after that.
After all, he placed the blame for that mission on himself.
And he intended to make things right.
He accepted the mission with little hesitation, turning away from the board with a dark scowl upon his face. He hadn’t taken any other jobs; this one would take up a good amount of time. Besides, if Pongo didn’t go soon, Draco and the others might see the mission on the board too. He had to do this alone, not just for their sake, but for his. They wouldn’t understand what he was doing. They would stop him.
But he wouldn’t allow himself to be stopped. Not now.
“Well if it isn’t Draco and Aevi!”
Draco recognized Jaynix’s voice and turned his head, pushing his shades further up the bridge of his nose. His other hand was intertwined with Aevi’s, who also turned to greet the fiery corporal with a grin. As Jaynix approached the mission board to stand next to them, Draco returned his attention to the new batch of missions. He itched to get out into the field today, and Aevi had decided to tag along - not that he was going to complain. In fact, he appreciated her company now more than ever.
“Good to see you, Jay,” Draco commented casually, “It’s been a while.”
“Way too long, if you ask me!” She chuckled, crossing her hands over her chest. “About time we took something together, eh?”
Exchanging a quick glance with Aevi, he nodded. “Sure. I bet the three of us can take a few missions.”
“It’ll give us a lot of time to catch up!” Aevi added.
They all directed their attention to the board. Aevi scrolled through the missions, mumbling something about how there were too many damn gathering missions, and she stopped upon reaching a bounty mission. “Looks like there’s a tyrant in Oblivia. You two up for it?”
Ah, Oblivia. Draco responded with a quick, “Sure,” before he started to recall his last mission to Oblivia. Jay, Aevi, Pongo and him had been sent to fight Dadaan. He still felt at fault for what happened, and he hoped that they could all forgive him for his actions. He watched Jaynix give a deep sigh - Oblivia wasn’t her favorite continent - before saying, “I’m always up for tyrant bashing! What do we have?”
Aevi opened up the mission details, reading them to herself. Her eyes grew wide, and as she turned to Draco, he caught a glimpse of the name of the tyrant. No, it couldn’t be…
“Dadaan’s back.”
Jaynix scowled. “No fucking way. You killed him, Aevi.”
“I know. But those enhancements...you don’t think someone revived him with those, do you?”
“Fuck…”
Draco was silent. His head bowed for a moment as the memories grew fresh in his mind. He had been defeated.
“Let’s take it.”
Jaynix and Aevi agreed silently, and as Aevi went to accept the mission, she stopped. “Someone already took it.”
“Who?” Janix asked, a sharp edge to her voice.
Aeviann hesitated. “...Pongo.”
Draco’s anger was suddenly replaced by fear. Of course Pongo took the mission. He had blamed himself for what happened that day. But if he went alone...no, he wouldn’t survive. As determined and as brave as Pongo was, Dadaan would be stronger, undoubtedly.
Jaynix and Aevi both looked towards Draco, expecting him to tell them what to do. He was their unspoken leader, but he had failed them before. He wasn’t about to fail them again.
“Let’s go.”
The afternoon sun was high in the sky as Pongo flew into the fortress, focused on the task at hand. He didn’t want to aggravate any of the other Ganglion, so he flew above the structures and landed quietly in the tiny ravine deep within the fortress. It seemed like only yesterday that he and his friends had come here with a similar mission. It seemed like only yesterday that he let everyone down.
As he exited his Skell, Pongo approached the clearing, looking around for his target. Sure enough, Dadaan was near the water’s edge, but he wasn’t acting like himself. He wasn’t flexing. He wasn’t striking a pose for anyone. He was merely gazing off into the distance, letting his thoughts consume him. Pongo found his stomach tightening inside him. As much as he wanted revenge, he couldn’t help but think:
Dadaan looked sad.
Pongo took one step towards the Prone, and almost immediately Dadaan spun towards him, fists raised. “Who dares to - you. Blank Eyes.”
Pongo stood still, a deep frown on his face. It was taking all of his strength not to grab his saber and charge forward - wait, what strength? He didn't have any. That's how all of this happened, because he wasn't strong enough. No, he would change things now. He would show them how he could be strong. He would wait for the right moment, and then he would -
“Did you return for a rematch alone? Foolish human. You wouldn’t survive five seconds.” Dadaan sneered. “Now that I am stronger, you have no chance against me.”
Pongo’s mind became increasingly clear, staring at the massive Prone. The fire in his voice was there, but it wasn't what it used to be. It was dulled, uninterested. If boredom could kill, Dadaan would be six feet under - again. Pongo’s heart fluttered, not out of fear of him.
It was out of fear for him.
Pongo responded simply. “I did not come here to fight you.”
Dadaan stepped back, confused. “Then why have you returned? Do you have a death wish?”
“Not at all.” He started to give him a gentle smile. “In fact, I came to pay my respects.”
“So you DID come to fight!” Dadaan yelled, mechanical hands reaching for the gun on his back.
“Oh, ah, nope. I should have been more specific. Hang on.”
Pongo turned around and went back to his Skell, jumping up into the cockpit and rummaging around for something inside. Dadaan was suspicious and kept his hands close to his gun, but as time went on, something made his hands relax. He stared at Pongo as he jumped out, and discovered what it was that he'd been searching for.
“...flowers?” Dadaan growled, “What kind of trick is this?!”
Pongo held the stems close to his chest. The petals sparkled in the sunlight like fresh morning dew; he’d found them growing in a secluded cavern in Sylvalum and had discovered that they were able to survive even after being pulled from the ground - they could retain nutrients and water so long as their petals were taken care of. Pongo hadn't told any Curators about his discovery simply because these were the only ones he'd found of them, and though he thought it was selfish keeping them, what he was about to do with them wasn't.
“This is not a trick, I promise.” Pongo told him, “And they are not for you.”
“Then who are they for?! Answer me human!!” He shouted.
“They are for your girls. The ones who used to watch you flex here, on days like this.”
Suddenly Dadaan’s face went sour. “They are dead because of you.”
“I know. They never did anything to hurt us, and it was unfair what my team did to them. And so…” Pongo took a deep breath. “I want to honor them. Give them graves. I know we cannot bury them properly, but it is better than nothing, right?”
He attempted a small laugh, his demeanor beginning to reflect his inner child. Dadaan was silent, unable to process this sort of kindness.
“You...want...to mourn...your enemy.”
“They were never my enemy. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time and wanted to protect someone close to them.” Pongo replied.
Dadaan shook his head. “No. I do not trust this. How do I know you aren't here for revenge?”
Pongo sighed. Putting the flowers down on the floor, he removed the dual guns off of his back and threw both at Dadaan’s feet, followed shortly by his photon saber’s hilt. Picking up the flowers again, he said, “Do whatever you desire with them. I do not want to fight you, Dadaan.”
Dadaan hesitated as he looked down at the weapons. Pongo could tell he was unsure of what to do, and so he waited, grinning to reassure him that he meant no harm. Eventually, the Prone spoke again. “Flowers won't do. We need gravestones.”
Pongo nodded. “There are plenty of rocks and boulders around here we can use. And this little area next to the water would be a perfect place to put them.”
Without speaking, they knew that Dadaan was the stronger of the two. His enhancements whirred to life as he walked over towards one of the cliff walls, observing the rocks carefully. Pongo noticed that a sliver of his skin was pulled back to reveal a mechanical spine, extending up past the neck to help reconnect his head to his body. It was strange to think that their technology possessed the power to revive people, and yet, humans did too, just not in the same way. Once a mim died, it was dead for good. But the Lifehold could create bodies at will. Wasn't that revival? Or was it being denied an honorable death?
Pongo knew for certain that he wouldn't want to be revived if he died. It would be hard to replicate him exactly in the Lifehold since his DNA wasn't there. And even if they managed to extract some of his coding from his body, chances were that he wouldn't be the same. He wanted to die knowing that he would be an original, not some clone revived over and over again. Pongo wondered if Dadaan thought the same way. It was a cruel fate he had suffered, and Pongo intended to help him through it. After all, this was who he was.
Dadaan came back over with two medium sized rocks, both the perfect size for gravestones. He set them down near the water where Pongo stood, making sure that they were firmly in the ground standing upright. Pongo didn't have anything to carve the girls’ names with, so all he did was set the flowers in front of both graves. He sat criss crossed in front of one of them, and eventually Dadaan sat down next to him, staring at the two stones with a saddened expression.
“This is not enough to honor them, but it is good for the time being,” He commented.
“Indeed.”
Not much else was said for a long while, as they both took the time to mourn the girls. Pongo closed his eyes for a moment, the memories of that day swirling inside his mind like a hurricane. Dadaan was the threat. The girls were there to admire, not to fight. So many things that day had left him broken, and though it was more obvious to see that he was blaming himself for Draco and Aevi’s downfall, he was guilt ridden over so much more. He promised that he would be stronger for their sake, for everyone’s sake. But as he sat there, in front of the graves next to one of his enemies, Pongo began to come to terms with something.
His strength wasn't physical. It came from his heart.
They sat there in silence for what felt like an eternity before Pongo realized something else.
“What were their names?”
Dadaan turned his head towards him. “Who?”
“The girls.”
“...I do not know.”
“You never asked them?”
“No...I never thought it was important.”
And there was silence yet again.
In time, Pongo had to go. Dadaan remained sitting as he bid the Interceptor goodbye, and as Pongo entered his Skell, he looked back at the Prone one last time. He’d learned a lot about himself today, and he’d be happy to report it back to his friends once he returned to the city.
Eros took flight for a minute as he ascended over the fortress and landed back on the ground, deciding that the drive would do him some good. As he drove through the desert wasteland, another object in the distance came closer, closer. Pongo thought it was a Skell at first, but was not surprised when he recognized Jaynix’s rover speeding his way. He slowed down so he could pull up next to it. No doubt, they’d yell at him for taking the mission alone. But he would explain everything to them. Hopefully they would understand, be proud of him, decide to turn back and leave Dadaan to grieve.
Sure enough, as the team reunited, the three of them were full of questions and worry for the raven haired Interceptor. And when the opportunity rose, he told them his story, and he told it with confidence.

Aevi's bio (finally)
Tumblr media
Well, it is finally here.
very long text under the cut
enjoy~
Appearance:
Name:                  Aeviann; wants to be called only Aevi.
Age:                     24, probably
Division:              Curators
Class:                  Astral Crusader
Weapons:           Sniper Rifle + Javelin
Skell:                   Ares 90; “ALVIS.exe”
The start of her life on Mira
Aevi stands at an average height at about 5.8 foot tall, with her skin being of a caramel colour. Albeit having a slender stature, her rather powerful arms and legs make it obvious that she is no stranger to the battlefield. Her wavy, sometimes curly hair is slightly longer than shoulder length, covering her left eye most of the time. It is of a dark shade and green-blue in colour, starting with a radiant green from the parting of the hair down to a deep blue at the tips. She wears it down at almost all times.
Some of her most notable facial features are her bright, golden eyes with slit pupils and the identical tattoos under each eye, both depicting a pattern of three small hexagons. The skin of her rather round face is covered with freckles around the nose, cheeks and forehead. There is a small scar on the right side of her face, going from the temple down to her cheek, although it is covered by her hair most times and most people don’t ever realize that she has it.
When Aevi was saved by Elma from her Lifepod, it quickly became obvious that she suffered from some type of amnesia just like a few other BLADES, not being able to remember anything from earth, not even her own name. After Elma suggested it must have been caused by the stasis, not knowing any better, Aevi just believed her. She was never able to find another reason for it, so she just accepted it as an explanation ever since.
After a few days on Mira there was one thing that she remembered, however, which was the name ‘Ann’, although she wasn't sure if it was her own name or someone elses. In an attempt to find out more about herself she also discovered a small tattoo on her neck, reading ‘A.E.V.I.’ She combined these two things to ‘Aeviann’ in order to give herself a name, choosing it because it represented the two only things that seem to have remained from her past. She had taken that name as a sign of hope for her identity returning to her one day. However, she had kept waiting, and nothing of the like ever happened.
  Personality:
So while she still likes her name itself and never changed it, over time the tattoo on her neck started to feel more and more like a brand to her; a stigma that reminded her of the past that she soon became sure she would never learn about. Her amnesia and not remembering earth like most others made her feel isolated, and so she preferred to stay by herself most of the time. This means that, for a long time, she never had anyone to talk to about the things that bothered her, resulting in her becoming quite bitter about them and developing an insecurity about her tattoo.
The features on her body that are strangely off, like her slit eyes and her tattoos, keep reminding her that there is a big part of her life left unexplained. She hardly ever gets bothered by these thoughts too much, just on rare occasions that lost feeling of not knowing her origins hits her unexpectedly. To avoid being confronted with this more often, she wears her hair down in order to keep people from noticing the tattoo on her neck and asking her about it, thereby possibly triggering these bad feelings
Aevi tends to be slightly insecure around new people. However, she is quick to learn and is good at figuring out how a person works, also opening up a lot more and showing her self-confident side when she gets to know someone better. Sometimes she tends to judge a person too early when first meeting them (be it in a positive or negative way) and may have trouble changing that opinion later on.
Aevi’s way of speaking is straightforward; she doesn’t beat around the bush much and dislikes it when other people do so, becoming fed up with this kind of behaviour very quickly. She also speaks her mind very openly, not hesitating in stating what -in her eyes- is the truth. However this also means she is not always thinking of the consequences of what she says at all times.
Honesty is a value she puts above most other character traits, and she dislikes it when people lie or try to hide the truth from her, especially if it means that it hinders her in helping close friends.
Around her closest friends Aevi can be kind of a tease and show her low sense of humor from time to time, but she can be absolutely serious when the situation requires it. When she is not working and out in the fields of Mira, or when she has some time alone with a close friend, she has moments of deep thoughtfulness as well sometimes.
Why she chose to be part of the Curators:
Whenever any earth-related topics are mentioned during talks with others her mood drops significantly. The mention of earth always reminds her of how she doesn’t feel like a real part of the human society in NLA, since she doesn’t have any memories of her home planet. The memories of earth are something which she considers to be a factor a lot of humans on Mira strongly connect over, a certain form of bond from which she is excluded. Over time this has led to her developing some sort of aversion towards earth as a whole, causing her to want to immediately change the topic or dropping out of the conversation entirely whenever her home planet or anything related to its culture is brought up.
This resulted in her developing a feeling of distance to most people, and in her preferably going on missions alone at most times because she will not have to deal with any of those thoughts then.
Even though the memories of her past were already wiped out back on earth, some of her character remained present deep down inside of her and survived until landing on Mira. And so, due to her work on earth (fighting wildlife poachers and her interest in nature) she chose the Curator Division without much of a second thought, even if she didn’t even know exactly why. The prospect of being able to explore Mira to her heart’s desire while also fighting the creatures she would encounter, and thereby also learning more about them as well, spoke to her from the very start.
Her early work at BLADE and her Motivation:
Without having any memories, all Aevi could practically do was throw herself at her new task after joining BLADE. Because work was all the she had for a long time, she set it as her goal to become the best Curator out there, wanting to prove herself both to others and to herself. This resulted in her working way more than usually required, and she was never shy to accept even the shittiest tasks no one else wanted to take. However, sometimes she would use those long and draining collecting-tasks as an excuse to escape the city and spend all day outside in the wilds of Mira by herself.
She got attached to her division as a whole very quickly, and started to feel the need to help the Curators to become more acknowledged. She had noticed how sometimes people make fun of Curators for being a weird bunch who just collect rocks and plants, but tend to forget that the members of this division are also the first ones to encounter unknown indigenes on many occasions. Most of the time when there’s talk about tyrant encounters, most people would quickly think of Harriers, but never of Curators, which resulted in Aevi holding a small competitive grudge against the Harrier division. And so, by becoming strong and learning to fight tyrants, she wanted to change that, to make her division become more respected.
Later on, when she started to slowly open up to others and started making friends, she gained another motivation; to protect the people she holds dear.
In battle:
Although she loves Mira and all of its flora and fauna, Aevi does not hesitate to kill if is absolutely necessary. So most of the time she tries to end fights quickly for the sake of not causing unnecessary pain; one of the reasons why she became a fairly good sniper. However, in case of a close encounter, she is just as versatile with using her spear.
Because of her history of working alone during her early days on Mira, she is inexperienced with leading a group and does not like to be in the position to make decisions for a team all on her own. If she ends up with a group she rather just plays the part of the silent sniper most times.
Hobbies:
researching indigens to help out the scientists/biologists in NLA and to have an excuse for staying away from the city for a longer time
mapping the small islands in the Miran waters (for the same reason, basically)
collecting MiraLife cards
spending time with her boyfriend, out in the field or just relaxing at home
Likes, dislikes and other random info:
likes walking barefoot at times (not on missions, but in her free time, and outside of NLA)
loves the sun and warmth (hence liking Oblivia and Noctilum the most) but strongly dislikes rain, to the point where it can heavily affect her mood when lasting for a longer time
her favourite spot is the Old Dragon Root Tree in Noctilum; she loves the singing of the Levitaths at night
is very ticklish
hates Thaluses and Vivohasts. It took her a long time to be able to recognize a Thallus when camouflaged, and she always hated the weird screaming noises they make when they attack. Vivohasts do not make as many surprise attacks, but they look similar to Thalluses, and Aevi thinks they look even more weird.
she dislikes flashy and bright colours for her clothes; when it comes to what she wears she prefers darker tones like simple black or dark red; however this does not apply to her Skell, which she had always preferred in bright and colourful painting
