How's dustball doing?
oc:dustball
Tumblr media
"Dustball." Gaz sighs, eyes heavily lidded with disappointment.
Dustball stands a few feet away, scooping up her weekly offerings. She's crouching as she loads up the bags.
She glances over her shoulder, dragging her goggles up. "Heyo, Pretty boy."
"Are you really accepting offerings now?" He asks, stepping closer.
"Soap's been tellin' people it's good luck to make offerings to the vent ghost." She ruffles around the snack bag, lifting an aero bar. "You like these?"
Her hand offers it up to him and he takes it, pocketing it.
"Vent ghost?"
"Ye', he told 'em I'm a vengeful spirit who curses random people when they hear me movin' 'round." She stuffs more of the drinks into her little bag. "Only way to get rid of it is offerings.. Ye know what they're offerin' on the floor below?"
"What?"
"Fukin' condoms and lube. Why the fook a ghost need that? To prevent ghost babies?" Dustball closes the bag up.
"I could use 'em." A gruff voice says behind her. "To prevent Ghost babies."
Dustball stiffly turns to see Ghost peering down at her, too close for comfort. Seconds later, she's diving into the vent, scrambling away from the intense look Ghost is sending her.
Ghost bends down, picking up a bag of sour cream chips. Gaz starts laughing.
"She really doesn't like you, does she?" Gaz asks.
"She likes my face." Ghost gruffs.

Hiiii Merc 💜
Everything ok? Hope you're feeling better!
I saw your prompt list and I just couldn't resist... How would you feel about either nr 72 (mischief managed) or nr 74 (are you challenging me?)
For, you guessed it, my girl Fred? (I have to stay loyal to my girl)
If not, no worries 💜
Thank you 😍
- your Fred Friend
The three of them definitely looked like trouble.
Fred looked up from the table she was wiping down to see Ken Lemmons at the door of the Aero Club, his two smallest assistants in tow.
"Morning, Fred," Ken said with a smile. "Mind if we come in?"
"Oh, I'm not sure I can let these two hooligans in here," Fred added with pretend seriousness, looking down at Billy and Sammy, who was carrying a cardboard box. "Since they're not actually members of the US Armed Forces."
"Not even if we brought you a present?" Sammy asked, gesturing with the box he was holding.
"Billy and Sammy found something out at the hardstand and thought you'd like to have it," Ken explained. "I thought it'd be better if they brought it to ya in person."
Fred pretended to consider it, keeping in mind that all three of them, including Ken, looked like they were up to something. It was not outside the realm of possibility for the contents of the box to be a live frog - or a cow pie. "Well, I do like presents. Depends if it's a good one."
"We brought you a spark plug!" Billy said with a grin, obviously very pleased with his joke.
Fred's eyebrows went clear up into her hair, trying not to appear uncharitable. (Six year old boys were a tough bunch when you didn't like their jokes.) "Oh, well then. Can't say I've gotten one of those recently. Where is it?" But just as she said that, the box in Sammy's arms meowed, and one tiny black paw batted its way out of the lid. A spark plug, huh? Fred carefully opened up the box, trying not to get swiped, and came face to face with a tiny scrap of a black kitten, eyes peering querulously up from the cardboard. It yowled inquisitively and tried to stand up on its back legs to get out, not quite strong enough to make the jump yet.
"Goodness me. Where on earth did you find him?"
Sammy spoke up immediately. "We were helping Ken with the engine and he needed a spanner -"
"A wrench," Billy corrected over his friend, looking at Ken for confirmation that he'd used the right word. Ken nodded, but Sammy had kept right on going.
"-And there was a noise in the boxes of spare parts! So we named him Spark Plug!"
"He scratched me," Billy added, showing the still-red scratch on his good hand. "But I don't think he meant it."
"I think he might have gotten away from his mother and crawled in where it was warm," Ken offered, by way of actual context. "Needs a little bit of looking after, but I thought he might help with your mice."
Helen came round the corner with the bookkeeping ledgers, heading for the back office from the supply room. "What's this? Presents for Fred and not for me?"
"I think he's for all of us, Helen." Fred collected the box from Sammy and tipped it to show Helen. The kitten batted at the box again. "This is Spark Plug."
"Oh, goodness, isn't he a darling," Helen said, reaching in with one finger to pet his small velvet head. "Hello, you. Are you hungry, precious? Did those boys give you a silly name?"
"Can we help feed him?" Billy asked, obviously with an eye to the main chance of getting into the kitchen and closer to whatever today's treats were likely to bed.
"Before we do anything he's going to go outside and get a bath, and while we're doing that you're going to go with Ken to the ammunition depot and find us a tray of sand," Helen announced. "He needs a place to do his business. If we're going to start with cats I want them to know what the expectations are."
"Well, come on, you heard Miss Helen," Ken said, a hand on both their small shoulders. "Let's go find some sand."
Their mischief now mostly managed, the two boys took off at a run towards Ken's Jeep, their handler taking his sweet time behind them so he could drive over to the depot. Trouble, Fred repeated to herself with a grin, still holding the box. Inside, Spark Plug made another swipe at the cardboard. "Are we keeping you out of trouble or getting you into it, buddy?"
The cat only yowled again, and Fred, for her part, agreed.

Rolls-Royce Phantom I Jonckheere Coupe
The first Rolls-Royce Phantom — then called the New Phantom, presently called the Phantom I — was introduced in 1925 in response to competition from European luxury marques like Hispano-Suiza and Isotta Fraschini and from premium American automakers like Packard and Pierce-Arrow. Based on the chassis of the outgoing 40/50 model, now known as the Silver Ghost, the Phantom introduced Rolls-Royce's first overhead valve engine and four-wheel brakes (although some sources say front brakes were introduced in late production Silver Ghosts). The OHV engine was taller than the sidevalve motor. That affected styling. The bodies coach built for the Phantom I had higher hoods, radiator shells and cowls.
In 1934, an as-yet-unidentified owner took the Phantom to the Jonckheere body company near Roeselare, Belgium to be rebodied. Though Henri Jonckheere built his first luxury automobile in 1902, the company had transitioned to making mostly bus and coach bodies by the 1930s. It still exists today as VDL Jonckheere.t’s not known who designed it, but Jonckheere built a radically different coupe body. Some say it was inspired by the aero designs of stylists Jacque Saoutchik and Joseph Figoni — but, to my eyes, it’s not nearly as elegant and flowing as their work. The squarish Rolls-Royce grill was retained, but it was sloped back to give the tall grill a more streamlined look. It is perhaps the only classic era Rolls-Royce whose grill is not vertical. To say the least, the car is a bit controversial with traditional Rolls-Royce enthusiasts. The windshield is also steeply raked. Bullet headlights and very long and flowing fenders continue the streamlined theme, but the car is so massive it’s hard for me to call it sleek. To finish off the aero look, Jonckheere put a big tailfin down the length of the middle of the trunk lid. Such fins were popular with European coachbuilders in the 1930s and you can see them on Bugattis, Delahayes and other custom-bodied cars of the era. Designer Raymond Loewy added one to his customized 1939 Lincoln Continental. Of course, the Rolls’ most distinctive features are its large rear-hinged round doors, which allow ingress for both front and rear passengers. Because of the odd door shape, the side windows are split vertically and open up like a scissors as they retract into the doors. Round fender skirts for the rear wheels echo the shape of the doors.
The car is almost 20-feet long and finished in dark black. It’s a big, almost ominous looking vehicle that would be at home in a Batman movie, driven by the villain. It’s not a very practical car. With ponderous weight and no power assist, the steering is difficult, particularly at low speed. The non-synchro transmission needs to be double clutched and, even though the car features Rolls-Royce’s servo-assisted mechanical brakes, the weight makes it hard to stop. The large turning radius, low ground clearance and extended rear end make maneuvering the vehicle difficult. The steeply sloping fastback roofline forces rear passengers to slouch. There is no back window to speak of, just louvers, so visibility isn’t the best. To make the most of the limited trunk space, there is a set of fitted luggage.

Sicktember Day 10: The Sniffles™ - Fran Bow
“I know it’s hard but you have to stop rubbing your face!” Fran pleaded, deftly blocking Mr. Midnight’s front paws from another aggravated pass at the itch. A scratch under the chin was usually enough to distract him but with his rhinitis he couldn’t properly enjoy it.
“This wait is excruciating, Fran!” he mewled, staring up at her with half-lidded, pitiful eyes. “How long does it take to equip a medicinal aero chamber? Has Itward told you anything?”
“Not since the last time I poked my head in to ask. That was only fifteen minutes ago, remember? He said adjusting the metered dose was taking longer than he expected,” Fran sighed apologetically. “But Palontras is there to advise. With both of them working on it at once, it’s sure to be done twice as fast!”
“I hope so. It’s just that I’ve have this h-hh—hhh—” Mr. Midnight tensed, nose twitching, sniffling in anticipation. Nothing happened. He sniffed again with more force, his exhale labored by a sharp hitching noise, but it only made his eyes water. Groaning, he rolled over out of Fran’s reach to get at his face again, scrubbing his paw pads over flaring nostrils. “Ugh, I have this horrid sneeze that keeps catching and still no medicine to subdue it!”
Fran glanced at the time, wondering if it was too soon to pester Itward for an update again. Then she brightened when she noticed the cup beside the clock, full of pens, pencils, and most importantly a feather quill.
“Why subdue it when it can be gotten rid of properly?” she suggested, giving the quill a twirl. “Come back here, I’ll help you.”
“If you say so. But do you really think it’s so simple as—ah-hh—chu!”
“Aww, you still sneeze like a kitten!”

Now, 80's CAR is interesting! NEO HISTORIC J's
"A specialty car is not a real thing without surprises on the inside as well as on the outside." A “super-unique couve” full of stimulation from the whole body like this will never be born again.
Text: Yoshio Ishikawa Photo: Hiroyuki Kashiwaoka Vehicle cooperation: Atsushi Yamada (Alcyone), Shintaro Nishiuchi (Piazza)
A true specialty car with a style and interior that is different from its neighbors and packed with fun
AX9 ALCYONE VX
JR120 PIAZZA XE handling by LOTUS
PIAZZA
Beautiful styling by Giugiaro
The operation system adopts Isuzu's original "satellite switch".
WRAPPING
The body was called “Kewpie mayonnaise”, but the opening is a box.
Side view and flat design designed to become one with The body with a su-surface treatment accentuates its beauty.
Based on Giugiaro's design
1/4 opening and closing headlight covers which I made good use of.
Three support risers with high mount brake light
The spoiler is exclusive to Lotus.
is also a part of Piazza.
The late model with aero parts lost a little of the delicacy of the early days, but instead gained a fearlessness. And the suspension that Lotus was involved in changed the geometry and made it 5 links, and succeeded in raising the driving level.
The flash surface structure is effective not only for the beauty of the design but also for the aerodynamics. Cd=0.36 is a good record. The grill is NERO specification according to the owner's preference. By the way, Yanase's NERO uses fixed 4 lights.
ENGINE
The engine is a 4ZCI type OHC turbo. I have a strong feeling that I was forced into it. The specs of 150 horsepower/20 kg-m are mediocre, but the characteristics of rich low and medium speed torque match the character of the car
COCKPIT
On the left side are the switches for air-conditioning, including the air-conditioner, and wiper-operating system switches.
On the right is the lighting system including headlights, auto cruise, and O/D switch.
A digital meter, which is very rare in Piazza. It's a little hard to see, but that's what makes it unique.
The ventilation on the right side of the instrument panel uses a pop-up type. In fact, if it is fixed, the satellite switch will block the flow of cool air. It was a desperate measure to avoid it.
The right door has a cigarette lighter, P/W switch, and electric remote control mirror.
Symmetrical design considering export. The electric mirror switch is a dummy.
There is a back opener and a fuel lid opener next to the P lever.
The sunroof is removable. The dial for tilting also has the Piazza mark.
An original cockpit that is as good as Alcyone.
The idea that all operations can be performed at hand with is the same, but this is a satellite
called a switch. Very easy to use. air conditioner
Optional cloth and wood panels were available for the panel.
SEAT
The rear seat is also a bucket type and can accommodate 2 adults.
Make sure there is enough space for people to sit comfortably.
In addition, the backrest can be adjusted in 4 stages.
The early model seat without board-like support transforms into a splendid bucket in the late model. Irmscher and XS/G can have optional RECARO seats.
OTHERS
"ASSO" painted on the rear fender was Piazza's show model. The logo "Aso di Fiori" is also the name of the club to which the owner belongs.
A novel style even now
Classic chassis is the bottleneck
Wagon-type cars, which are popular these days, have a strong meaning as a tool for efficiently moving people and goods. As someone who likes functional things, I don't mind the increase in the number of cars like this, but when the number of cars increases this much, it's just a bit of a disappointment. It's sad that I can't find any free ideas for individual cars, as it seems that they are riding the trend and rushing in one direction.
When I went there, I saw two coupes made in the 1980s that I encountered in Hakone this time. They were built based on free and bold ideas, and each had a rich personality, which was refreshing.
Both cars belong to the almost extinct category of specialty cars. Interestingly enough, this is the work of the third power manufacturer, Isuzu and Fuji Heavy Industries.
But this is no coincidence. The 1980s was a time when a large-scale specialty car boom blossomed with the introduction of the Soarer. Isuzu or Subaru In order to compete there, they must have thought that a “strong individuality” that is difficult for large manufacturers to create was necessary.
The Isuzu Piazza, which debuted in 1981, was characterized by its elegant appearance. The Piazza, the successor to the 117 Coupe, was designed by Giugiaro, just like its predecessor. Originally drawn for Audi, it has been shown several times as his study model at European motor shows.
Isuzu has embodied this Giugiaro original design as faithfully as possible. Of course, there were some differences from the show model, and some people said that the original design was cooler. It takes a lot of courage just to commercialize the tinged new mode. It should be appreciated. Without this decision, the car wouldn't have had the "something" we're talking about here.
In addition, he did not cut corners in the processing of details. Above all, it was epoch-making for a car at that time that the roof and glass areas were completely recreated exactly as Giugiaro intended. The Piazza was a car worthy of attention for realizing the flush surface body, which had been difficult to establish for mass production, even though we knew that it had excellent design and aerodynamic characteristics.
And one more thing, the interior is extremely attractive. The front seats have a voluminous dashboard placed in a position away from the occupants, giving a strong sense of openness. The cockpit consists of a meter nacelle protruding from the dashboard and satellite switches set to the left and right of the nacelle.
The satellite switch has everything necessary for driving such as air conditioner, wiper 1, lighting, turn signal, etc., and most of them can be operated without moving the steering wheel significantly. When the steering wheel is tilted, the gauges and satellite switches move together. Visibility is good, and the serrations of the satellite switches can be adjusted according to the size of each individual's hand. It was taken.
Since the panel area is small, it is easy to operate each switch.
Although the functionality was not good enough, once you get used to it, you can touch everything blindly, and in that sense, it can be said that it is an easy-to-use switch. Also, along with this, there are no levers growing around the column, and it is nice that the space has a really modern atmosphere.
At the time, I loved opening the door and sitting in this cockpit with that unique sweet smell (I think it smelled like solvent). It is also attractive that the rear seats are two-seaters to create a unique elegance. Until now, no other car with such a special atmosphere has been found that deserves the name "specialty car."
In the midst of all this, if I were to look for Isuzu's fault, it would be the use of Gemini's for the floor of the base. The FR Gemini, whose basic design was already outdated at the time, was chosen to be the base for the sole purpose of keeping development costs down. It's gone.
Even when I ran it, the 3-link rear suspension could not be said to have high grounding performance, and it could not be said to be sporty. However, Lotus has improved a little since it has 5 links, so if you are looking for it from now on, you can say that this is a point to pay attention to.
The engine also started with the G200 series inherited from the 117 coupe, and in the middle stage, the new generation 4 ZC type turbo was touched, which also increased the competitiveness. Personally, I don't mind anything about the mechanicals because it's a car that I drive for the atmosphere, but since it's a car with a long model life, it's definitely matured as it gets older.
Tester Yoshio Ishikawa
Yoshio's feelings about the pleasant sunlight in early summer in Hakone
Was it uplifting?
I was able to receive it. Something feels good.
BUYER'S GUIDE
To put it bluntly, Alcyone doesn't have many balls. However, if you can find one, even a 2.7-liter bottle is very cheap at around 300,000 yen. The final product is in good condition, and there are few troubles. The problem is that parts are starting to be out of stock. In Piazza, only good Lotus cars are sold at high prices, but other grades are extremely cheap. If you like style, go for it. Lotus has less MT and distance, and greens can cost more than 700,000 yen.
We are currently recruiting photography vehicles!
We are looking for the following vehicles in this corner. If you want to show your favorite car in the magazine, please check it out. Close to normal is best. To apply, specify the details of your favorite car and contact the "Neo Historic Jays" section. No. 70 is B12 Sunny S/S and JT150 Gemini C/C.
AX9 ALCYONE VX
A child of aerodynamics created by a former fighter shop!
Deformation 2-spoke steering shows FLAT F
WRAPPING
Fusion of aircraft concept and car styling. In addition, the extreme wedge-shaped form that pursues aerodynamics is the first Japanese car to achieve a CD (air resistance coefficient) value of 0.29, which is less than 0.30 (0.31 for VS Turbo and others).
“Airbnb” that applies the system of aircraft
Lane type door handle. There is no unevenness of the body with the variable flap type.
Door mirrors highlight the nose of the spacecraft.
prevent turbulence on the body surface by separating the mirrors from the body.
High deck and ducktail shape adopted to reduce air resistance and intonation. Water collects here on rainy days. There is no step even for single garnishes. Both the front and rear windows have an inclination angle of 28 degrees.
At the time of its debut, it was said to have a design similar to the Honda Prelude. Looking at the details, it seems to be close to the Toyota design at that time. The front design seems to be conscious of the AW11 MR2.
ENGINE
The engine is a 2.7-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine with +2 cylinders added to the 1. 8L 4-cylinder engine. 150 Horsepower / 21.5kgm but suitable for specialty.
SEAT
The bucket seat is also similar to the Toyota FF2BOX series at that time. However, the hip part has a lot of room, probably because it was made with Americans in mind. The rear seats are oppressive and very narrow. Perfect 2+2
COCKPIT
When you tilt the steering wheel, the instrument panel moves with it. Movable range is 50mm
The steering and console system are L type
Zain. One theory is that it is a flat F.
The left side has a wiper and washer system, and the front has an air conditioning mode switch.
The door trim is an F design seen from the upside down. The position of the P/W switch in the previous term is different.
The temperature adjustment & fan lever is next to the P brake. The previous model also had a shy air circulation switch.
On the right side is the headlight system, and on the front is the rear defogger, height control, etc.
A unique cockpit design born from the concept of aircraft safety. Control wing protruding left and right of the steering wheel can be operated without taking your hands off the steering wheel.
OTHERS
The muffler is first turned from the back to the front and then put back again. This area is also unique.
The minimum ground clearance is 165mm, but the height control system increases it by 30mm. The car is terrifyingly tall.
Equipped with torque split 4WD that leads to the current Legacy
Fuji Heavy Industries is a manufacturer that continues to create unique cars with the uniqueness of a horizontally opposed engine and 4WD as weapons. It is a company with characters that are rare in Japan, and I can sympathize with the recent attitude of narrowing down and carefully finishing models that have many fixed fans.
However, there was a time when we were striving to create a lineup of flagship models before we achieved the stability we have today. Starting with the Alcyone introduced here, this is the specialty car route that ended with the SVX fadeout.
Alcyone debuted in June 1985. They probably targeted the Honda Prelude, which held a large share of the market.
It was introduced with an extremely strong wedge-shaped body that confounded many circumstances. Add a cover to the gouge of the door handle to create a flush surface and CD=0.29. Although it had a reputation for achieving a low air resistance of 2, there was no special ingenuity in the processing of moldings around the roof. I guess he deliberately closed his eyes because changing the fixtures around here would increase the cost.
Also, like Subaru, there is a 4WD setting, so the vehicle height is quite high. Airflow under the floor is also a significant negative factor in improving aerodynamic characteristics. In order to achieve the highest level of CD value at the time while carrying such a handicap, the Alcyone was styled like a wedge.
The mechanism also showed a lot of attention to detail typical of Fuji Heavy Industries. As well as the engine installed
Although it was a horizontally opposed 4-cylinder 1.8L 2 0HC, all cars were turbocharged to obtain the power performance suitable for the flagship, achieving 135 horsepower and 20.0kgm.
However, the Alcyone still had a big secret, and that is the VX flat-six engine introduced here. The horizontally-opposed 6-cylinder 2.7-liter engine produces 150 horsepower and 21.5 kgm despite being non-turbo. With this engine added in 1986, the Alcyone became Subaru's flagship in both name and reality.
As for the drive system, although both FF and 4WD were prepared for the 1.8 liter, the 2.7 liter adopted ACTI4, which adjusts the front and rear torque distribution with an electronically controlled multi-plate transfer. In addition, the suspension system itself was conventional with front/strut and rear/semi-trail, but combined with an air suspension, the vehicle height was greatly adjustable. When set to High Most, the road clearance was unbelievably large for a coupe, making it a Subaru-like all-weather/all-terrain GT.
If I were to describe the ride quality in one word, it would be something like a “magic carpet.” The floor is high, and the driving position where you are forced to lie on your back high off the ground is also strange, and the footwork that clears corners with deep rolls is a taste that only this car has.
However, if asked to name the most unique aspect of the Alcyone, I would answer without hesitation: the interior. The cockpit of this car is so unique.
Instrument panel and center console in one
The dashboard that became the body has a downward U-shape. Since a large area is devoted to the air-conditioning outlet, the space for layout of switches is small. The main switches were laid out on the side to ensure operability.
There were many parts where the consistency of the layout was marked with a question mark, such as the temperature control for the air conditioner being behind the shift lever, but the designer had a lot of fun with things like this control wing and the steering wheel with an asymmetrical L-shaped arm. Alcyone's cockpit is suitable to be called a specialty car. It may be an extreme argument, but I think that it is important for this kind of car to have a unique world that cannot be found anywhere else, rather than having good or bad performance that everyone can be satisfied with.
However, because of that. Neither the Alcyone nor the Piazza were successful in terms of sales. Here, it is easy to analyze that the Alcyone's unique but overly self-righteous mechanism and riding quality were the cause, while the Piazza's outdated driving performance was the opposite of its beautiful appearance. But more than that, I would like to focus on the fact that these two still exude a mysterious charm.
It's a kind of thing that you can't feel even now when you come into contact with Soarer and Prelude, which were popular at the time, and it's definitely not just the rarity value that only a minority has. Perhaps this is the strong personality that the maker put in as a message.
It may be time to learn from these two cars now that there are concerns about cars becoming white goods.
HISTORY
Piazza debuted in May 1980. The body, which faithfully reproduced Giugiaro's show design, was said to be a running work of art. In 1986, Irmscher was added, and in 1988, Lotus and European individuality models were added. Produced until 90. Alcyone appeared in June 1985. Initially, only 1.8ℓ horizontally opposed 4-cylinder turbo. An attempt to create a new genre called 4WD specialty was unsuccessful in terms of sales. 2.7ℓ was added in 1987. produced up to 1991
The initial model is only a 1.8-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder turbo. Generates 135 horsepower / 20.0 kgm. The pan bar is differentiated by adopting a 5-mile bumper only for 2.7ℓ. The small cabin is the result of pursuing aerodynamics.
Debuted in May 1981. The plain style, which is not found in the latter model without aero parts, faithfully reproduces the design of Giugiaro. Early engines were G200 DOHC and OHC.

Magic & Abilities [Kaito Yuki, Ice Dragon Slayer]
// from Kaito’s past threads, meaning to do a post for years, lmao
Updated: SAT 23 March 2024
-
Ice Make: Taught by Ul before Gray and Lyon, Kaito specialises in dynamic ice make that wields (ice) weapons. He has also secretly learned Iced Shell.
Ice Dragon Slayer Magic: Like other dragon slayers, Kaito can consume his element (ice) to replenish his energy, except his own ice, including his ice make.  Kaito’s ice cannot be melted with normal fire, but can be with stronger fire like Natsu’s Fire Dragon Slayer magic. He can freeze the air to make ice platforms to make up for being unable to fly, and uses up less energy if he freezes water instead.
Dragon Ice Make: Kaito can infuse his Ice Make magic with his ice dragon slayer magic, making them stronger with its enhanced properties. This also helps Kaito conserve his energy before the need for a more potent Ice Dagon Slayer magic spell.
In his S Class verse, Kaito has already mastered this before Lucy joins the guild. In Kaito’s S Class Candidate verse, he masters this through training for the S Class Trials or Grand Magic Games.
Spells (in no particular order) below under the cut!
Snowflake Shuriken – Kaito’s trademark starter move, he sends multiple thin shuriken that do little damage but cut very painfully to test his opponent.
Dragon Ice Make: Great Ape – Kaito summons a giant ape of ice that attacks the target, further enhanced by a layer of ice dragon slayer magic to boost its strength and durability.
Ice Dragon’s Rapid Fangs – Kaito creates a barrage of icicles that fall for the air like a violent hailstorm
Snow Fake – Kaito creates a clone of himself made from snow, can trap the foe after too for a follow up attack while their guard is down.
Ice Dragon’s Cross Claw – An X shaped strike with both arms enhanced with ice, used to send the target to the ground or launch them into the air.
Ice Slider – Kaito’s high speed movement skill, moving faster due to freezing the ground around him and sliding on it.
Aero Combination: Ice Dragon’s Claw: Arctic Rush – Kaito forms many magic circles in the air around he target, and uses them as platforms to attack the target from multiple angles. This is Kaito’s version of Shiro the Exceed’s Aero Combination, making up for the fact that he cannot fly.
Frost Laser Circle Array: White Flash - Creating magic circles in the air (like with the above spell), they shoot off multiple ice beams to the target,
Ice Dragon’s Grand Jaw – A double hammer fist attack enhanced with ice, Kaito can also follow this up by conjuring an ice dragon head to chase after the foe, created from the impact.
Ice Dragon’s Roar - This dragon slayer’s breath attack freezes the target but not before forming icicles on their skin to shred, it is able to even freeze fire magic but not special fire like Natsu’s Fire Dragon Slayer magic.
Ice Dragon’s Secret Art: White Coffin – A white coffin made out of ice is summoned from behind the target to lock them in, the front lid is see through. Kaito usually uses this to seal his target for interrogation purposes.
Snow Time - Usually used after White Coffin, Kaito fills the coffin or in snow, can be used separately at where the foe is trapped prior.
Snow Crush - After covering his target in snow, Kaito can command it to crush the target with a clench of his fist. (like Gaara’s Sand Coffin)
Frost Drive - Like String’s White Drive and Rogue’s Shadow Drive, this enhances Kaito’s abilities but not to the extent of Dragon Force.
Frost Drive: Burst - Kaito can briefly go into Dragon Force for its burst of power, enabling him to freeze everything around him instantly, usually used to negate an attack.
Dragon Ice Make: Icer Blade – Kaito creates an ice sword enhanced with Ice Dragon Slayer magic
Dragon Ice Make: Spiral Shell – Kaito raises his hand and summons a spinning shell of ice above his head like an umbrella, used to deflect any projectiles from above.

The Polestar 4 Seeks to Redefine the SUV Coupé
Tumblr media
Polestar recently announced the Polestar 4, an electric performance SUV coupé and the second SUV in the brand’s line-up. The new vehicle combines the "traditional" aerodynamics of a coupé along with the space of an SUV, and integrates design elements from Polestar's earlier concept cars. Positioned between the Polestar 2 and 3 in both price and size, the Polestar 4 comes with a new approach to SUV coupé designs, and the company adds that it has given the Polestar 4 better comfort and experience for drivers and passengers alike. This includes eliminating the rear window, separating the dual blade front lights, a lower nose for improved aerodynamics, along with other elements such as retractable door handles, rear aero blades, and better air flow on the rear light bar. The Polestar 4 is built on Geely Holding's "Sustainable Experience Architecture," resulting in measurements of 4,839 mm length, 2,139 mm width, and 1,544 mm height. This also means more spacious interior proportions, which allows for reclining rear seats, adjustable ambient lighting, and even a glass roof with optional electrochromic functionality, which lets users adjust their desired transparency. Additionally, rear passengers can also adjust functions such as media playback and climate control thanks to a secondary display located between the front seats. As with most cars these days, there's an integrated infotainment system on board which runs on Google's Android Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. This setup includes a 15.4-inch display, with built-in support for Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play as well. Sound is handled by a Harman Kardon audio system, an optional add-on that comes with 12 speakers and a 1,400-Watt channel-hybrid amplifier. Two headrest speakers are added to each front seat with the optional Nappa Pack, and Apple CarPlay is included as well. In terms of speed and power, the Polestar 4 can achieve a 0-63 mph sprint in just 3.8 seconds, with a maximum power output of 400 kW/544 hp. Dual and single-motor versions of the car will be available, with the latter featuring rear-wheel drive. The dual-motor version meanwhile will come with a semi-active suspension system, and wheels will be available in 20 to 22-inch sizes. Both long-range versions will also run on a 102 kWh battery. The Long range Dual motor variant features 400 kW (544 hp), 686 Nm and a preliminary range target of up to 350 miles WLTP, with a disconnect clutch that allows the car to disengage the front electric motorwhen not needed. Up to 200 kW DC and 22 kW AC charging is included for all versions, with a motorised charge lid. There's also bi-directional charging onboard, with vehicle-to-load capability that enables external devices to charge off the car. There's also a new drive optimisation function that lets drivers choose between range orperformance driving modes, although this will be exclusive to the Long range Dual motor version. Meanwhile, Performance mode sharpens up responsiveness from the powertrain and engages both motors at all times for full power and performance. Range mode on the other hand prioritises efficiency, adapting the powertrain to a calmer style and forces use of only the rear motor. The Long range Single motor version features a 200 kW (272 hp) and 343 Nm motor at the rear and preliminary range target of up to 372 miles WLTP. As for safety, the Polestar 4 will feature up to nine airbags inside the vehicle, as well as a driver assistance system courtesy of Mobileye. This includes a setup of 12 cameras, a radar, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, including a driver monitoring camera which relays data (without video recording) and tracks movements to avoid fatigue-caused accidents and such. A 10.2-inch driver display is mounted ahead of the steering column which works in tandem with a heads-up display (HUD) with 14.7-inch projection area in front of the driver which provides access to telephony features and navigation information. The Polestar 4 will also feature different equipment packs which are optional. These include: - The Plus Pack which comprises comfort and technology upgrades - The Plus Pro Pack adds a colour-coded body execution, electrochromic glass roof and additional interior illumination - The Nappa Pack can be specified in addition to the Plus Pack, and includes animal welfare-secured Nappa leather upholstery with ventilation, massage and additional headrest speakers for the front seats - The Pilot Pack includes Pilot Assist and its extended features. - The Performance Pack increases the performance look and driving experience of the Long range Dual motor version, with 22-inch wheels, 4-piston Brembo brakes, Polestar-Engineered performance chassis tuning and Swedish gold details for the brakes, seat belts and valve caps In terms of availability, Polestar plans a full-scale launch for several markets including Europe, North America and Asia Pacific in 2024, with sales and production ramping up for said regions through the course of the year, with more details to follow. Pricing ranges from around EUR 60,000/USD 60,000/GBP 55,000. Read the full article

I'm trying to figure out what pour over coffee maker my local coffee house uses.
I'm trying to figure out what pour over coffee maker my local coffee house uses. I'm trying to figure out what model pour over coffee maker my local coffee house uses. I asked last time I was their but my dumb ass forgot. I figured I'd ask here before I go back tomorrow or Monday because someone might be familiar with it.Instead of having any angled walls its a plastic cylinder with a flat paper filter ( think aero press but about 3 inches wide. He dumped all the coffee in the top, bloomed it, then poured in all the remaining water at once (it was a 16oz brew so quite a bit). It had a lid he could shut once the water was in. The draw down was about 3-4 minutes. Instead of having a flange or something that sat inside the carafe it had like a "+" shape bottom that just rested on the lip of the glass. There must of been some way of channeling the liquid on the underside because it came out in a stream. There was also some kind of high walled plastic mesh piece resting on the filter I think. He said the company was based out of Texas and I want to say it was something like GeniusBrew or BetterCoffee but searching for either of those have turned up nothing. Anyone out there know what I'm talkin' about?EDIT: The coffee wasn't bad. They didn't have my usual bean so I dunno if it seemed a little weak because of the pour over or the roast. Ronart W152 MK.II
The W152 was the first car to be designed and built by Ronart Cars, which was founded in 1984 by Rona and Arthur Wolstenholme and launched at the 1985 International Classic Car Show, with production commencing the following year. Of original conception, the design was intended to reflect the style of the front-engined Formula One cars of the 1950s, of which the humped headrest and external exhaust are typical ingredients. The car is built around a backbone chassis and clothed in an 11-piece body comprising: centre tub section, nose cone, bonnet, front side panels, rear section, boot lid and quartet of cycle wings. The centre section is reinforced with a steel cage, to which a roll-over bar is firmly attached; the tip of which is cunningly secreted under the driver's head rest. On Mk. II versions, such as the sale car, a boot is built into the rear section. This stunning British sports car is presented in racing red with carbon stripes and a black leather interior piped in red. The bodywork on this particular example is carbon fibre which we believe to be unique and clearly provides this car with a substantial weight advantage against its rivals. It is fitted with a Jaguar six litre V12 sport engine which is fuel injected with high-impedance fuel injectors, emerald management system with V12 map installed. It also has a power lock 3.07 differential, fully adjustable pedal box, Willans four-point harness, Le Mans fuel filler, boxed gel battery, three stage trickle charger and Brooklands aero screens. It has stainless steel headlights and sidelights, fully independent suspension with adjustable coil over shocks, AP racing brakes and calipers and wire wheels. Also,  the car was set up to do rallying and therefore it does have the relevant  timing equipment fitted.

giving the silent treatment to someone was hard; especially if the space is small, even more if the space is shared.
you were working on a university assignment on the couch when kei walked by you on the way to the kitchen. not a greeting nor a word was exchanged. silently trying to one-up the other by pretending that neither give a shit — that both were very much fine doing their own things, and that the presence of the other is as important as the dust under the couch. kei was mumbling things as he opened cupboards in search for something. at that point, you weren't even mad anymore: you actually found this pettiness of his rather comedic. but even more so when kei accidentally dropped the jar of pickles he held in his hand.
the loud crash of broken glass echoed throughout the small unit, and you can't help but stare at him, seeing what he'll do next.
but he doesn't do anything. at least not immediately.
he just stands there (🧍‍♂️), looking down, rather forlornly, at the icky liquid and shards that now decorate the clean polished floor. it took all of you to not burst into laughter. "... i just cleaned that earlier—" you heard kei whine to himself, shaking his head as he carefully navigates his way through the shards to get the broom, dustpan, and a cloth to wipe it with.
"that's what you get, bitch," you finally cave, stifling a grin behind the mug you were sipping tea from.
"shut the fuck up," kei retorts, avoiding your gaze though he is well aware that he just quite literally put himself up for mocking. all because of some stupid fucking pickles in a stupid fucking glass jar.
"need some help over there~?" you press, making his eye twitch.
kei replies with a flat "no".
"okie!" you begin typing obnoxiously on your laptop to prove to him that you're very much working and you're far too busy right now to give a shit about him. the expletives spilling out of his mouth in murmurs don't stop, only climaxing in one big "AH FUCK" when he nearly slips on the pickle juice.
"ughhhhhhhhhhh," you made sure you groaned loud and clear enough for him to hear (not that there was much distance between the two of you anyway) before closing your laptop lid, and padding over to where he was.
kei could only stare open-mouthed as you snatched the broom set from him saying in a sing-song voice, "let me show you how it's done...watch and learn, my child!!"
"i am perfectly capab—,"he lunges after the dustpan but you swerve just in time for him to nearly slip on the pickle juice again. it was then that he realizes that he isn't going to win this one, but despite this, he refuses to back down. "fine," he spits out, walking towards the sink where a rag awaits to be rinsed and used. his slippers squelched as he walked.
"oh, kei..."
"what is it now—"
he made more of a mess, is what it is. he is a tall dumbass, is what he is. a trail of dirty and damp patterns of the bottom of his slippers leading from the spilt pickle juice to the kitchen sink where he stands dumbfounded, is what it is.
more cleaning to do, is what it is.

Autoform Z10 Toyota Soarer 2.8GT and standard Soarer comparison. Translation below.
Reminiscent of Alpina, Soarer's outrageous light!
After all, the beauty of the aero parts of this Soarer is the most attractive. The finish of each part is as beautiful as she is a line production model. The engine will fit her 66mm her oversized pistons, and the engine volume will be increased by his 2 893cc compression ratio, which will ensure 200% output. The exhaust manifold is an octopus foot, and the muffler is a free-flow out-form special with low resistance. The suspension springs and absorbers are also tuned to the original outform. When you start running, you first notice that the steering holding force is moist and has just the right weight. The ride is a little harder, but the town youth is still sufficient. The steering response is sharper than a heavyweight Soarer, and the cornering roll is small. Soarer originally has a weak under and easy to enter in tight corners, and reverses to oversteer at the corner apex, but this Autoform is stable without that reverse. Under the Dunlop gate in the middle speed corner, it is easy to aim at the line with a weak under, and he is stable without overshooting at the exit. The power performance is 0 to 80 km, which is 7.1 seconds, which is about 0.7 seconds faster, and he has a very good response. The lap was outstandingly fast at 1 minute 15 seconds 24, compared to 1 minute 19 second for normal Soarer. (Tsumi)
Nominal 200ps 6000rpm ● Outform specification 5M-G is in the hands of TOM'S. The main change is to a high compression piston, and the output is 200ps, which is a high level for him. This is a regular gas specification, but a high-octane specification 230ps tune is also possible. ● The Autoform recommendation is a combination of the Potenza RE86M with a sharp response and the Asso, this time it is a circuit run, so it is an advan to try. I wore the HF Type D. Potenza is easier to use for general driving. ● The built-in front skirt is 19,600 yen, which is sold separately from CIBIE's type body parts. This is for the front of Maichen, and the new model has a deeper design.
Unlike the genuine spoiler that seems to be attached, the Autoform integrates the boot lid and wing type spoiler. Increased rear traction in high-speed corners ● 2.8ℓ 5M-G-equipped vehicles are equipped with an EX manifold and muffler system. The engine is normal, and it's interesting to try attacking only here. The sub muffler is common. The exhaust pipe set downward is stylish. ■ Tuning degree Engine aerodynamic parts Suspension ■ Parts cost Engine 630,000 yen (including desorption wages) Suspension 400,000 yen Aerodynamic parts 360,000 yen ■ AUTOFORM Soara 2.8GT SPEC. ● Engine out form 200ps specification (compression ratio 8.0 regular gasoline) Autoform EX Manny 68,000 yen Out form ・ Muffler system Mu 47,000 yen Sub muffler 9060 yen Ultra eight ・ Siricon cord 18,000 yen ● Suspension Autoform ・ Suspension SYST EM (Coil Spring & Shock Absorber Set 88,000 Yen (for 1 unit) ● Wheel & Tayer Fort Run Asso A301 (6.5JJX15) 35,600 Yen (1) BS Potenza RE86 (Front and rear 205 / 60R15) -4 10,000 yen (1) ● Aero parts Autoform body parts-set 360,000 yen ■ Tuner: Out form 03 (418) 6868 <Showroom>
