Tumblr seems to he THE place for spooky fandom dreams so like, here goes.

So yesterday I took a nap, and the end of my dream freaked me out. I was in a sensory deprivation tank, trying to relax, and completely unable to. I felt cramped, trapped, panicked...

And who rises up from the water in front of me? THE LICH FROM ADVENTURE TIME.

So the FUCKING LICH cups my face with a skeletal hand, brushing a thumb over my cheek, and I'm some part of me is scared and confused, but my my previous panic is actually... subsiding? And the guy looks at me and he says,

"Rest now. Let the waters hold you."

So of course, because of that classic AT Lich Compulsion Ability, I lay on my back and float in the water, and then I feel myself...

sinking away from my body.

The water is much deeper than before, too. I feel myself drifting downward for a few feet. The scariest part is the sensation made me feel more at peace than I ever have in my waking life. I still felt that nagging dread... but I was cozy.

And then I woke up like a shot.

the lich!! honestly, he’s gotta be one of my favourite villains, he’s so menacing without even trying. anywho, it was kind of a struggle to draw him initially, but i think after this many doodles i've got the hang out it lol (also dont mind the little bubblegum lich thing, i was wondering how it would've worked out considering that one episode where the lich's soul possessed her)

Thank you so much! It is, Jerry has always been a favorite of mine in the show! But I also adore Simon so it will be focused on him too. Depending on how far this makes it (Not to mention if a season 2 happens!) I would love to indulge the idea of what everyone else is up to in Ooh/Fiona's world now that they in theory are part of the multiverse. Sneaky peaky below cut!

Hii, I'm very curious if there's a post explaining the Lich “A New Purpose “ episode, since I've seen your art for it and I LOVE IT, I wanted to know if there's a post explaining it like the Flame Mertens post that I missed

Oh well id like to animate it soon but basically the lich that succeeded in killing all life was transported into a new reality created by golbetty herself. His new task was to make sure the BMO from his world was kept alive and safe. (The BMO from this lich’s original reality was brought back by golbetty too.)

He lost all his magic too but was given a red crown with gems around it that looked like golbetty’s eyes.

Of course the lich tried to put it on to regain some magic and go rampant but he lost all control over his body. He only regained control when BMO chucked it off his head. Golbetty then told the lich that if BMO was killed then he’d be punished.

He just looks around and thinks “there isn’t anything in this reality except myself and BMO”

But then the lich hears some rustling from a bush and sees one of the blocks surrounding golbetty start to move and walk. It spots the lich and BMO and starts to chase them. The lich just books it and carries BMO on his back.

Basically in this reality, BMO and the lich develop a bond like how Simon and little Marcy did!
