Eddie’s mum died when he was young and his dad liked to partake in criminal activity, giving his son skills like knowing how to hotwire a car, eventually his dad was incarcerated and his uncle Wayne became his guardian. The two resided in Wayne’s trailer in Hawkins and he had a pretty normal life, he enjoyed his life…

During this normality he was unaware of the portal that Will Byers had opened, that the upside down was some fucked up hell dimension that all of those poor kids had to fight demons from.

It was his final year, the year he’d been certain he’d graduate this time that became the start of the end. The finale of the biggest DnD campaign and a fateful beginning into the introduction of what was really going on in Hawkins.

Crissy died, fuck vecna and of course all of those fucked up jocks and popular kids were just the start of the town turning on him. He hid and ran, hiding in the dock house where he was eventually found by Max, Dustin, Robin and Steve. After holding a broken beer bottle to Steve’s neck and being talked down by Dustin, Eddie was eventually calm enough to let Steve go and the gang explained what was going on. Far fetched as it was, it made a whole lotta sense. So they had to find Vecna and prove he was innocent right ?

They eventually found themselves in the Upside Down and the hunt was on. Nancy went about describing how fucked Hawkins was gonna be and maybe that awoke something in Eddie, something more than just survival and fear. He watched as they tried to wake her from Vecna’s grasp and knew all of this was more than him just trying to clear his name and they weren’t about to let Vecna take a fourth victim.

Shit goes down and by the time they’re back in the Upside Down with a plan hatched, it becomes evident that those demobats couldn’t be held back forever. he stays, he plays ‘masters of puppets’ and he almost dies —- frankly if you ask him, he’s still sure he did. still sure it all went to shit but that all fades to black and the next thing he remembers is London. Some random ass tourist prodding him with a stick, there’s scars from his wounds which prove it all happened but he can’t be sure what the outcome was.

Then it’s distractions and living, hell at least he’d put an ocean between him and the town that had wanted him dead right ? Little does he know that being a runner for the band that Lestat is a part of, might just be as dangerous as Hawkins but hey here’s to good music and denial.

Reader Insert Writing Challenge: Gender Studies - A couple of weeks ago, we announced a new writing challenge, focusing on gender stereotypes. The idea was spawned from teaching ourselves how to write a gender-neutral reader-insert character. In order to be more aware of what gender stereotypes need to be stripped away, we can lean into them by writing the same trope or prompt with both genders. I thought it was about time to introduce myself!

Hey, there! My name is Beowulf. I'm a 20-year-old wifeguy who uses she/her and he/him. I've been into Warrior Cats since the early 2010s, though I only picked up roleplaying it again recently. I'm the person responsible for writing and drawing everything you see on the Tumblr and the website. I'm also into Haikyuu, Yu Yu Hakusho, Jojo, and Ace Attorney. I've got a cat named Sephiroth and I live with my fiancee, Lex.

I'm a literate roleplayer, though I made the Clans of Noctus as a way to wind down from all the literate and novella roleplays I've been in for years. The Clans of Noctus was a project that I started in mid-2021, though when I opened the server, I was having a very bad time outside of it and quickly closed it down only two weeks after roleplay began. Now I've spent a lot more time on Noctus and I'm very proud of the result. I'm hoping everyone is interested in the server enough to get the plot going!

Please describe the character for us

She is a petite artsy girl with memory loss as the fore feature. It comes in a fog over her mind in minutes, or seconds and little remains when it happens. There are certainly a lot of ‘50 first dates’ moments in her life. Her friends and family do the best they can to execute certain routines for her each day. In Elias many know about the car accident, or have heard about Doralee & most of the people are especially kind and patient with her! Her long term memory is getting better every day with help from her friends & now certain core memories are becoming easier to store. She likes to draw , write and make voice memos during her interactions. Anything that can assist jogging her memory the next time she encounters a person or situation.

Doralee mumbled to her phone, “Note: today at six thirty two, I bought the last bouquet of lilies to give to … . someone … .I don’t quite remember why , what if they are a gift for me? Who bought me flowers?” Her brand new turquoise beret stood superlative & proud on her polished black curls. Doralee is supposed to be home at a certain time each day and now it was well after dark. She stopped a round of her own silly ramblings, noting, this part of the neighborhood wasn’t hers. “Oh no,” Doralee said lowering her phone from her ruby red colored lips, “ This isn’t Coral Street… .unless, everything has been painted today,” Doralee turned around thrice times. Sidetracked, in the heavy brain fog, Doralee laughed at her own attempt at a little joke. “ Okay, no, this is fine, go over the facts Doralee, the facts, … I’m Doralee Novak & I live on 324 Coral Street so , ” She looked at a mailbox and saw the numbers had four digits instead of three. A gulp and she walked on, looking out to the numbers until they went down to three numerical digits again. “Note,” Her voice said once more to a memo, “I’m ━ lost… ” If her father had scolded her once he had scolded her a thousand times about wandering away from home.

Doralee couldn’t help this! Today was beautiful day, at least and someone couldn’t be with her all the time, this was the reason she ventured off against the safety put in place by her loving family. Not long after that a man was walking uo to Doralee, a man she should have recognized but she didn’t. Doralee crossed her arms, a good thing to be said for her memory loss: fear never lasted. “Hi there ━ I’m Doralee, can you help? I suffer from short term memory - ” The words hadn’t gone from her lips yet, they’d finished the sentence for her.

Memory Loss.

“Dory , you’ll have worried Marion to death, let me help you,” Her good friend is going home for the night after working & they smiled on patiently at the permanently dazed girl. “You shouldn’t wander this late, it’s dark out.”

“Oh I wasn’t really wandering, I was - um, um ” Doralee stopped before the answer could be given to him.

“━ Something to do with the flowers in your hand, Dor?” He suggested as easy as you ask a stranger the time. They’d all wait forever, helping out Dory every day with her memory.

“Yes! The flowers ,” Dory nodded in an innocence which made you want to cry, she sighed, “ I really like them but I’m happy to hold them for you.”

“If you like them you should keep them, did you get them at the old corner flower store or down at the market?” He kept true to their topic of conversations even when Doralee could not, his method was staying firm on the subject and guiding her to the conclusion. He locked his arm with hers protectively. The problem was the timing of her 'fog’ , changing often, one needed to be consistent. Her head was a bucket of holes and simple information was like water slipping through the holes. “Awe look, flowers, they are so pretty, I think these are my favorite, do you have a favorite flower? If you had to choose in an unpleasant circumstance which your very life depended on answering?”

Doralee soon was babling happily and somewhere in there she let out the flowers were from outside the market place so she hadn’t wandered for too long. A relief to them, for Doralee was far too gentle to be alone at night.

“Not sure , I’d say , all flowers are fine with me.”

“ Wow , that’s a great answer. ” Doralee informed him cocksure they were friends enough she could rest her head on their arm sleepily.

Mod experience: This will be my first experience as a zine mod! I’m a contributor for the zines Sunshine and Moonlight and Bonds, and am the admin of a roleplaying group that’s been going on for about 5 months. 

What are you looking forward to in this zine? I'm a Kirishima stan through and through, and I love the idea of him being drawn to the bold, boisterous personality of Inasa. I’m excited that since it's such a rarepair, we have the opportunity to dig so much deeper into the pairing than any existing fanwork does. I think that’s pretty neat!

CHARACTER FANDOM (if relevant): The Vampire Chronicles OC OR CANON: Canon CHARACTER TYPE (for example: vampire, witch, human, etc): Vampire ARE THEY ASSOCIATED WITH ANY GROUPS/COVENS/ETC: not a single one, he certainly doesn’t trust any enough since the last coven he was around murdered Claudia and in turn he had to burn them to the ground before leaving Paris with Armand. WHERE ARE THEY PRIMARILY LOCATED NOW: He has had many homes, recently New Orleans has been one and certainly Dubai but he now finds himself in London, England more so expecting it to only be a temporary residence but one he assumes keeps him far away from all of those vampires who claim to want to take revenge for the book and his declarations to them.

IMPORTANT CHARACTER INFORMATION TO NOTE AND SHARE (this could be important headcanons for initial plotting, bios etc, supporting docs): Louis was born in New Orleans, to a sugar farmer and his wife. They also bore two other children, Louis’s younger sister Grace and younger brother Paul whom Louis loved dearly. admittedly he often felt as if Grace pittied him for the judgement their mother cast on him and Paul in all his beliefs about god certainly tended to call out Louis choices.

By the time he’s old enough he is earning the extra money through illicit affairs with businesses in the red light district - storyville - to ensure that his family could maintain the lifestyle that they were used too as their father’s earnings had hardly been enough to keep them afloat and of course Louis was now in charge of their money due to their father’s passing.

His first meeting with Lestat a strange one, having been so immobilized by the other’s presence. Louis certainly felt himself drawn to the man, the two grew closer through certain business interactions which would only lead to a night of passion between the two. during this Lestat took what he’d called ‘un petit coup’, the small drink from Louis and this left him unsettled as he certainly didn’t identify as a gay man at the time despite having had interactions and partaking in certain acts with other men.

The morning following Grace’s wedding was a beautiful one, Louis remembers that much and how he and Paul had climbed up to the roof where they reminisced. The moment returned him to their earlier years or certainly until his brother jumped to his death which stays firmly set within Louis core and a constant reminder of how his mother felt about him.

Louis chose to let the distance remain between himself and Lestat but on the night of his brother’s wake Louis would not attend but instead found himself in a church. This would be where he was offered the dark gift and where he certainly accepted it.

Their partnership is turbulent and passionate but it’s also volatile and violent. Lestat often being the target of Louis way of showing his own hate about himself, while in turn Lestat fears being abandoned and this certainly is the more toxic of their years.

Claudia a victim of Louis emotion, of his guilt because had he not remained in New Orleans after his turning, then she wouldn’t be at death's door and yet in begging Lestat to turn her and promising not to abandon him for doing so. It certainly sets up a new chapter to their relationship, initially a kinder one but as always it turns sour following his mother’s death. She becomes a victim of the relationship he and lestat have while also being a huge part of how it initially ends, he wanted to escape it and she helped him to do so attempting to murder Lestat but Louis of course refuses to burn him and send the coffin with inside locks to the dump where there would be rats and other animals to feed from.

He and Claudia go to Paris, searching for others like them. They find Armand and the Coven which she joins and Louis refuses too. Instead the initially time in Paris becomes a new chapter, intrigue within Armand while he is still - due to his mind and hallucinations - reminded of Lestat. He does fall for Armand, does love him and by the time he believes Armand had chosen him over the coven and Claudia is happy, Louis feels content with what he has. He loves Armand then until the darkness of the bags over his, Claudia’s and Madeleine’s head lead them to the trial. To Claudia’s end and eventually to Louis seeking revenge on the Coven murdering them and harboring his relationship with Armand as punishment for Lestat.

There is so much bitterness in those early decades, Louis on the blood of those taking drugs finds Daniel in a bar. Ready to tell his petty angry version of the story, Daniel ends up bitten and Louis tries to end his life, to burn in the sun as Claudia and Madeleine had but is saved by Armand. Dragged instead and left to deal with the agony of his wounds. Armand had contacted Lestat, Lestat had been left assuming Louis hurt and possibly gone while Louis remained unaware of the message of love that Lestat had tried to get Armand to pass on.The memory of that time becomes a hazy blur, one he and Daniel years later end up untangling. So they can both remember.

In 2022 the new interview, truths slowly unravel into lies and the actual truth remains laid written within pages of a script from the very trial that took Claudia away. He and Armand finally break up, Louis searching for Lestat who had been the one to truly save him within the trial.

And he does find him, the two able to become lost within one another once more. To talk and forgive but after so long the two have a lot to figure out and they part ways once more.

Louis opens a small bar in London, consuming himself within a semblance of normality.

Kryptonite increased his white blood cell count, making him immune to common colds, fevers, viruses, and other ailments. Lex is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat.  Lex is an expert in judo, taekwondo, boxing, swordplay, and gun handling. But, some would say, Lex's greatest asset is his high level of intellect. He is also a skilled strategist with a keen business sense, and his access to resources, advanced technology, and manpower allow him to directly and indirectly hold his own against more powerful enemies, whether they be superhuman or not. Potential Superhero name: None.  Kryptonian/Daxamite/Metahuman/Other?: Human, Lex was born on Earth as the first child to the very savvy and extremely wicked business tycoon Lionel Luthor, and Lillian Luthor, a caring, beautiful and sophisticated woman, who was driven into a mental institution by Lionel, who wanted her to stay out of his business and the way he chose to raise his children.

Teaser Bio:  As a child, Lex was very close and protective of his sweet mother yet fearful of his emotionally and physically abusive father. His father would criticize him harshly whenever he showed the slightest bit of weakness. Lionel wanted him to be strong and fearless, like a warrior, but Lex wasn’t any of those things. He was more like his mother, friendly and compassionate, and trusting. Despite his parents' contradicting methods, he remained a quiet yet kindhearted little boy. However, after his mother was institutionalized by Lionel, at age 10, Lex became a calloused, alienated, and self-destructive young man. He knew his mother wasn’t actually crazy. Lionel sent her away because she was deemed “weak” and “meddlesome” She wouldn’t allow Lex to reach his full potential. She wouldn’t allow him to become like Lionel. A vicious, sociopath. 

In Lex’s young adult years, he partied hard, got arrested, and was a general source of embarrassment and disappointment to his father. To everyone else, his behavior was an obvious cry for attention. He was constantly fighting to win his father's approval and was envious of anyone with a decent family and group of friends. Lex used to think of childhood friends: Oliver Queen and Jason Teague as his brothers, but they both eventually disappointed him in their own way. As for his relationship with his half-sister, Lena, she’s always been his softer side, even  after she left the city to pursue other lifestyles, Lex kept in constant contact with her, offering her whatever resources she may need. Welcome back to Stonecastle! We are so excited to have everything in this wonderful little down up and running once more. 

We are so excited to get things back up and running but since it has been a while there are just a few things to check over! Recent unfollowed celebs have not been taken off any lists yet - we are working on that. Please, just ignore anyone you have asked to be dropped. 

Please check the taken tag to make sure all your celebs info is up-to-date (we know ages won’t be, please bear with us while we amend that!)

Please also check the taken careers section to make sure that everything is correct there. Please take a look at the university section on the page and let us know if your character has graduated. 

It is perfectly fine if you want your character to change careers or move on if they have graduated, just so long as it not a capped career. 

We also ask that you check the ships page to inform us of any changes. It is okay if you’ve plotted ships to have moved further in their relationship or if you want to start fresh with a ship! 

The character swap app and additional celeb app will remain the same if you wish to use them.

If there is anyone who you think should be on the banned list, please message the main. Please note we will not be taking anyone off the banned list and you must provide evidence as to why they should be banned.

We’ve only been open for ONE day, and I can honestly say that I am so beyond impressed with every single one of our members. The writing I’ve seen has been nothing short of phenomenal and more than us admins could have ever hoped for, even after all the great apps we’ve received.

And just as importantly, the welcoming and friendly attitude everyone has shown has warmed my heart ungodly. You have no idea how happy it makes me to see such sweet individuals coming together to enjoy each other’s talents. We’re very lucky to have every single one of you, and I hope you all find what you’re looking for here.
