Alright, top 10 favorite media...

1. Killer and Healer (cdrama)

I've explained many times why I love this drama and to sum it all up, it's one of the greatest love stories I have ever fucking seen in my life and they have set the bar too god damn high in terms of relationships, communication, everything

2. Lord of the Rings Triology Extended Edition (movie)

Can't go wrong with the Lord of the Rings. Love the Lord of the Rings. It's such a good movie

3. CSI: Miami (tv show)

My favorite of the CSI franchises. I've seen every season, and at least every episode at least twice (maybe more). I just really like police procedurals and this has always been one of my favorites

4. Percy Jackson (book series)

You cannot go wrong with the Percy Jackson series now, come on. It's fucking Percy Jackson.

5. The Kane Chronicles (book series)

Now this is also written by Rick Riordan but instead of Greek mythology, it's Egyptian mythology and as someone who wanted to study egypt mythology and be an Egyptologist when I was younger, this shit appealed heavily to me. Still does. Love this book series

6. NCIS: New Orleans (tv show)

Out of the NCIS franchise, I like this one the most. I think it has the best cast, the best cases...I don't know, I just like this one the best

7. Hawaii Five-0 (tv show)

I never got the hype when I lived in Hawaii (yes, I was born and raised in Hawaii, no I'm not military or a missionary kid, I was born there) but once I went to the mainland for school, I started watching it and I understand why everyone really liked it. Also McDanno...great couple. I love their relationship

8. HiGH&LOW: THE WORST X (movie)

My favorite of the HiGH&LOW movies. I don't know what it is about this one but it's just...it's just my favorite. I think the characters and the relationships were all great and it was able to build off of the previous movie HiGH&LOW: THE WORST. And most sequels don't really work but this shit worked. And it's good. And the fighting? I'm an action girlie and these movies have some of the best fight scenes like ever

9. The Fiery Priest (kdrama)

One of my first kdramas that I've ever watched and oh my god. It's both funny and serious and the concept of the whole drama is just hilarious. I have never cackled so hard while watching a drama before. Love this drama

10. Danger Zone (Tdrama)

Oh my god, this drama. Oh, it's one of the only taiwanese dramas I've watched but holy fuck is it dark. It's so good but it's so fucking dark. It's another police procedural but the relationships in the dramas are really good. But it is not a drama you watch late at night. It's not. But it's so good

She can only pray that whoever it is might mistake her for one of the nurses like the other patients had, and lets her pass without laying a hand on her. Only one way to find out. She hurriedly moves forward and rounds the corner— can't stop the scream from leaving her lips when she walks right into the person's chest. Except... her scream is muffled. Only then does she realize her mouth's been covered. She looks up— her eyes widen. Not a patient. A co-worker, or, well— a former one. Miles slowly pulls his hand away, holding up his hands in an attempt to reassure her. "Hey, hey. It's just me. It's me, okay? Don't scream. We're still in danger." He pats his pockets down, eventually finding a (surprisingly) clean handkerchief. "Jesus," he mumbles, as he does his best to wipe the blood from her nose, staining the once pristine cloth red. "What the hell are you doing here? And what happened?" Both relief and worry flood Leila's system all at once, leaving her unable to make a single sound, save for a quiet, choked sob. She ignores his questions as she sobs again. "I'm so glad it's you. I don't wanna die." "We're not gonna die," Miles promises, and once he's cleaned her up to the best of his abilities, he pulls her into a comforting embrace. He quickly pulls back when he realizes he quite literally smells like death. "I've got you."

Update #3 on the saga of Kyle McCarley and his defense of Chris Niosi.

(content warnings for sexual assault, abuse, manipulation, and otherwise taking advantage of people)

Today, on July 22, 2024, he made an announcement in his server to apologize for his previous actions and ignorance. Details below, as usual.

First of all, the apology itself.

TLDR: He admits that due to his own lack of understanding of sexual coercion/abuse, he did not realize just how much worse Niosi's behavior was than he initially thought. More importantly, he also apologizes for inserting himself into the situation as a character witness and accepting Niosi's apologies on behalf of other people. While he's going to take a break from the internet, if he returns to Twitter he'll delete his previous statements and recuse himself from the conversation.

At the very least, this is a start. Rather than further doubling down, he's admitted to his mistakes, perhaps similarly to Alejandro Saab. Ideally, he'll learn from this huge blunder and think more critically the next time someone he knows is accused of abuse or assault or anything of the sort.

Whether you can believe him, though, that's up to you. (Personally my disappointment with how he handled it prior kind of sours this for me, and I'm still wondering how it took so long for him to realize that the internet wasn't actually making up the whole thing about him being a serial abuser because first-hand accounts were really not hard to come by. Generally an attitude that still bugs me, despite my relief that he hasn't pulled an Adin Rudd and quadrupled down on it.)

Speaking of first-hand accounts, people who aren't fans of his will likely have more issues with this than those in his fan-server; Look no further than Tara, who is still angry with him, as well as the people she's discussed this with. Here's what she has to say in light of his apology:

As mentioned in the screenshots, because this apology is in a Discord server none of Niosi's victims are in, they haven't gotten a direct apology from Kyle for his own actions yet. (Plus, considering he didn't talk to any of them when he was talking big about not seeing why people called Niosi an abuser, to say they have a bad impression of him is an understatement.) Still, until both parties are in a state to actually talk to each other, there's not going to be much headway.

(Final note before I go: I've also asked Tara if it'll help her to know what was included in the document, though I haven't gotten a response back yet. Maybe I'll edit this post when I do.)

I think if I had dark watercolors I would’ve just used those but I done. So gel pens, normal pens and markers (mostly sharpies) with a little digital editing to finish it up!

I initially wanted to make this in a different stylistic fashion but i haven’t slept so this is what came out ^_^

Also here’s his original look, I made his hair longer (I figured he wouldn’t be able to grow it out for his prison picture sadly) but I think for his ears right. (The weird lighting is because the image was AI generated before it became public knowledge that AI art makers use stolen source material). I probably made my rendition have too long of a face, but all my drawings end up looking like me a little. Especially when I have to use my own face for a pose reference! I’m not posting that though.

Majority of these will be Killer and Healer characters but there are three from CSI: Miami

1. Jiang Yuelou

Oh, my angry police chief who just needs a fucking break. He's such a little shit/gremlin and also a bitch when he wants to be and I love characters like that. I love bitchy, sassy characters and he's just so...god. I also like him because while he puts up this tough bitch persona, deep down he is a deeply traumatized man who just wants to be loved and even though he puts on an air of "i don't give a fuck" this man...this man gives all the fucks. All the fucks are given with him. And I love that about him.

2. Chen Yuzhi

My beloved doctor. This man is just so kind and good and always sees the best in people and he's someone that I want to emulate. I want to always try to see the best in people and I want to help everyone, no matter their background/past. This man wears his heart on his fucking sleeve and he's just such a good person. And he, like Jiang Yuelou, gives all the fucks. He's just...I love him, alright?

3. Horatio Caine

I've been rewatching CSI: Miami recently and he's a lot like Jiang Yuelou, a bitch and a sarcastic little shit but my god does he try to get justice for the victim and the victim's family, especially when it comes to kids. God, he's so gentle and kind around children and yeah. I like him a lot

4. Ryan Wolfe

He was always my favorite in CSI: Miami. He, Horatio, and Eric (who's next on my list). I like him because he, like Horatio, is a sarcastic little shit and a bit of a bitch and I swear to god the show threw fucking everything at him but he took it all in stride and his character growth was just...yes. He grew up from being this cute, bright-eyed bushy-tailed beat cop to a competent CSI who could fucking kick ass. Even though Calleigh was the day shift supervisor, it was always him, Eric, and Horatio. Those three

5. Eric Delko

Again, he's a sarcastic little shit and I like him because he, like Ryan, went through a lot of character growth. Could I have done without the romance between him and Calleigh? Yeah because I think he and Ryan had better chemistry than him and Calleigh but that's just me. Anyways, I like him because who doesn't like Adam Rodriguez and because he has a strong sense of justice and gets pissy when the system allows people who should get caught get off scott free and he's just like me fr

6. Chu Ran

Chu Ran my beloved. The only female reporter that I don't fucking hate and do you know how many female reporters I fucking hate? A lot. I like her because she don't need no man, she's good at her fucking job, she's fearless, has a kind heart...and is over all just a good person. One of the best female characters I've ever had the pleasure of watching on screen and I need more characters written like her

7. Zhan Junbai

Yes he's a villain but I don't care. He's a classy bitch who, when not listening to his fucking cunt of an uncle, is a rather kind person who just wants to listen to opera and live his life with Yu Tangchun. And while yes he's a villain, he's a smart villain. You don't think he's a villain till it's revealed and you're just staring at the screen like you son of a bitch. You had me fooled. I like a villain with brains and style and this bitch has both

8. Yu Tangchun

I love him because 1) he's pretty (he's so fucking pretty my fucking god) and 2) he's cunning. It's why he and Zhan Junbai are perfect for each other because they're both cunning bitches who put on "airs" of innocence when they ain't so fucking innocent. But he's also a good friend to both Jiang Yuelou and Chen Yuzhi and the best big brother to Zining. He's a complicated character but god do I love him

9. Song Rong

Song Rong, my beloved. Honestly, he's the best wingman fucking ever as well as the best subordinate. He trusts Jiang Yuelou explicitly as well as Chen Yuzhi because if Jiang Yuelou trusts him then fuck, Song Rong's gonna trust him too. And like I said, best wingman, fucking president of the Yuezhi fanclub. And he cares. My fucking god does he care.

10. Bai Jinbo

The dad to end all dads. This man fucking stepped up when Jiang Yuelou's father basically fucked off and died from an opium overdose and took Jiang Yuelou in, when he didn't have to, and raised him as his own fucking son. Did he let Jiang Yuelou down in the end? Yes, but we don't talk about that, we only talk about the good things and this man was a good fucking dad. Who cared a fucking lot about Jiang Yuelou
