My interest in the leaks is very non-existent if there is no Tomura or any other LoV members in it. AFO just became too lame for me during this final arc to enjoy it now; 馃ゲ
Although I'm hoping Tomura is the reason AFO's hand starts bleeding here (since Tomura has prevented ShigAFO's hand movements before)

People who live with their parents - is the furniture in your room yours? Ie, would you be able to take it with you if you moved out?
I had a conversation with a co-worker the other day about moving out and I said that my parents might let me take my mattress if I moved out, and she was just like??? Why wouldn't you be able to?? Isn't it yours?? And I was like no??? My parents bought it, not me?? Anyway I want public opinion on this

lexie liu鈥檚 full album kinda reminds me of peak gaga? like experimenting with familiar genre conventions to make them both dark and sweet over an addictive, danceable beat
magician is the best track of the album by faaaar but the entire thing is so hypnotizing, even if it has some fairly rough edges. still the dark undercurrent of the whole album is executed sooo well.

Propaganda under the cut.
Vermouth:
Literally part of an evil organization, kills people, yada yada, but also she's HOT GIRL SHIT. Femme Fatale. Has tension with the protag's mom because they used to be besties before she faked her death, also tried to kill adifferent character's mom by forcefully kissing her and giving her experimental poison. (Sure, women poisoning women get to kiss, but none of the men poisoning men get to do that!!!) But also, she protects the protag from her evil organization because of her relationship to his mom, and protects his girlfriend because said girlfriend accidentally saved Vermouth's life when she was running from the cops.
Kumoko / Shiraori:
She has her own goals and values, we're on her side. She's absolutely ruthless in her path for power, kills people, and joined the apparently "evil" demon side. A mysterious plot with twists and turns like a rollercoaster, and a blank expression like. Yess girl, go on! Give us nothing, slayyy
When her whole class dies in an explosion she's reincarnated in another world as a weak monster spider in a dungeon (the rest of the class was also reincarnated, mostly as humans). She has to eat the other monsters to survive and evolve to become stronger with the goal of making it out of the dungeon. When she does finally make it out of the dungeon she saves a baby and accidentally starts a war to which her reaction is basically "Perfect, killing humans give more EXP than monsters so it looks like it's EXP farming time". Kumoko accidentally infects the Demon Lord with a part of her soul causing her to take on parts of Kumoko's personality and leading to them teaming up.
Sure she may have genocided almost every elf and caused multiple wars but she wants her girlfriend to be happy and her girlfriends dad is the leader of all eleves and has been for far longer than he should be sure she wants to kill half of the life on the planet she's currently on but because her girlfriend's pseudo mom is the core of the planet and she just wants her to live and so what if caused multiple wars she's saving the planet and she is definitely autistic

what do you think is going through cloud's head when aerith departs at the end of rebirth (or i suppose, when they leave without her) where does he think she's going and why wouldn't she be continuing on with them ("are you going to be okay getting back?" back where!) does he on some level understand this is lifestream aerith even if his brain is rejecting the information of her death... and even if she had somewhere to go without them, it would surely be easier to fly her there rather than leaving her in this... field somewhere, so i wonder what is happening in that fractured mind of his that he is like yes this is normal and fine :) i also wonder if he can tell at all how upset everyone else is or if he's just fully lost in his own head This moment stands out to me a lot for how it differs heavily from OG (makes sense to have the biggest shift thus far happen at this pivotal moment) and was just ruminating on this particular dialogue and interaction (loved the callback to remake but i had not considered more in depth what he would be thinking here)
He's referring to her returning to the Forgotten Capital when he asks, "Are you going to be okay getting back?" - he thinks Aerith is staying there to pray/use her Cetra abilities and has just come back through the Sleeping Forest to see them off (to do what exactly is a little more unclear since Holy hasn't been fully explained yet, that may have been a conversation off screen or perhaps he thinks she's just trying to tap into the Lifestream more generally to help in the fight against Sephiroth).
As for the rest of what's happening in his head, I go back and forth on that because I go back and forth on what exactly I think happening at the Forgotten Capital.
There is definitely some sort of repression going on. We know that Cloud's mind will repress things that are traumatic for him (see: Nibelheim and Zack), and the "interference" moment before he sees Aerith is obviously meant to show that's what's happening. And we've been left with a very deliberate gap between Aerith apparently waking up in Cloud's arms after the fight and the team sitting beside the water where presumably some form of the water burial has taken place, so we don't know what state Cloud was in or what he experienced in those moments.
But I don't know that he's aware that it's Lifestream!Aerith, either. I think he remembers blocking Sephiroth's sword and saving Rebirth!Aerith, and I think he did save Aerith. The rainbow motif appeared when he did that and in both scenes with him cradling Aerith before she woke up, which indicates fate being changed/a new timeline being created.
Of course, we then also clearly see a version of Aerith that's bleeding out and the rest of the team think she's dead. So ... what is the truth?
Well. One possibility I keep falling back on is this: I think Cloud himself has moved through worlds, that after the final fight, he's actually in adifferent timeline.
My main evidence for this is the Tiny Bronco, which in the final cutscene suddenly has its wings back. So far as we know, the Team went straight from the Temple of the Ancients to the Forgotten Capital, with no time to stop and get new wings built and fixed on. And there's no way Cid did that himself in the time they went through the Sleeping Forest and were fighting Sephiroth. So when was it fixed? I'm not sure it was. I think this might be a timeline where the Bronco never lost its wings in the first place.
Other evidence is that during the various stages of the final fight, there's indications that Cloud has been separated from the team. First your party members both abruptly disappear/leave the party when fighting in the first stage, before everyone suddenly reappears in the second stage. Then Cloud is pulled through to the Edge of Creation where he fights with Zack while the rest of the team are fighting together and wonder where Cloud is.
We also know from the interludes with Zack and Biggs that they both saw rainbows when they "died" and were pulled through to a different timeline where things are almost identical but with full memories of their own timelines' histories.
Then in the final cutscene, Cloud can also see the crack in the sky when the others can't - and we know from the interludes that the crack is a) real and b) a herald of the world's destruction.
So possibly when Cloud is "glitching" and seeing Aerith, it's because he's got a foot in two worlds, as it were - one where she died, and one where he saved her, and his mind is struggling to reconcile the reality of what he remembers (saving her), with the reality of the world he's currently in (her dying), and is repressing what he cannot deal with right now. And I think he is genuinely oblivious to his companions' distress at the end, he doesn't realise that they can't see Aerith or the crack in the sky, I think both because of his own mind repressing thing and because there's a part of him still in "puppet mode" that's giving him a serious case of tunnel vision.
So in general I would say at the end of Rebirth:
Cloud remembers saving Aerith and believes she's alive
He thinks she is staying behind at the Forgotten Capital to continue praying
He is, at least in that immediate moment, unaware that his other companions think Aerith is dead and are grieving her
He's no longer in the world/timeline he was before fighting Sephiroth, but where exactly he is and what that means for the timeline he came from is unclear
It's all very deliberately confusing of course, because the devs want to keep us guessing, but I think we'll see a payoff to this in Part 3. My predictions at the moment are that the "truth" of Aerith's death is going to contribute to Cloud's breakdown in the Norther Crater, and that we'll see timelines start to converge and the final fight of the trilogy will be a fight to break away from the OG timeline and events that lead to AC, but to create a new timeline in which everyone gets to survive and be happy.
