Quick rundown of the world they’re in- monsters exist!! And people have to live amongst them even though most of them are very dangerous! So anyways into the murder lesbians :]

Janette Biswar (she’s 47 and suffering/hj) or otherwise this lady:

She’s an unwilling cult leader with the church her mum used to run (which is a cult omg) being handed down to her basically! (she completed a rite of passage to be the leader in her teens which was murder she does not like that) And at the moment she’s trying to dismantle the cult to make it a normal cult but then Adele Beckett turns up-

She gaslight gatekeep girlbosses on a regular basis. (She has a husband called Josh that she was highschool sweethearts with him- he’s transmasc so they were a sapphic couple in the early years)

Onto the actual plot- a cop and a priest walk into a bar basically. (i’m not even joking) so they both do that and they flirt things are said and done woahh (they kiss holy shit :0) They end up sleeping togheter but before that janette was like ‘heyy i’m aro-spec let me explain what that means and how i don’t do romantic relationships” and Adele is like “uh huh. definetly listening” she isn’t. she does not care at all. So basically they have a friends with benefits relationship but then Janette is like “WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE A HUSBAND” since adele is not polyamorous and did not tell Josh about it.

They split up, and don’t talk for a while until Adele’s son, Ryan, ends up being involved in a cult ritual that ends up with him getting his arm chopped off. Adele knows who did it (janette who did not agree to that ritual) and ended up getting revenge. In the form of arson. She was mostly commiting arson because she was just annoyed at Janette and a little bit for her son she isn’t a good mum. So Janette gets burnt alive and then ends up getting resurrected by weird blue spirits called Sprites that curse her with if she cuts her skin, little blue flowers and foliage burst from her skin trying to push their way out which is dangerous! So she has to stay out of town- in the woods- because everyone thinks she’s dead and she’s just planning her way to kill adele.

yeah. there is so much more lore i could go into but i will save that. for later. :D

Hey Silver,

Have any guesses or ideas at what's happening in that short clip with Cloud screaming for his Tifa? My initial reaction was the boss at Junon harbor, but after going back and looking at their location, Im not sure anymore. Broken reactor appearance gives me Gongaga vibes. And the green water below makes me think of a previous trailer with Tifa swimming around in green water. That would be really awesome if we had a whole new scenario for Tifa.

Yeah, I think it's a new scenario at the busted Gongaga reactor. We could never enter it before, but now we can and the layout looks like the Midgar and Nibelheim reactors with a mako pool at the base and levels rising up towards a domed ceiling.

I think Tifa was knocked off a high level by the monster and possibly eaten by it, kinda similar to the first battle you have in FFIX where Garnet is caged by a monster and you have to free her. The same scenario also happens in ffVIII with Rinoa being junctioned by Adel, so it's not a new thing for SE to try.

It would also explain Cloud's panic. he just saw the love of his life fall from a high place and get eaten and he couldn't do anything to save her, which has always been a massive anxiety trigger for him.

Klassiker-Verlage - Eine kurze Einleitung

Bücher sind für den etwas anspruchsvolleren Leser nicht nur ihr Inhalt, sondern auch reine Haptik. Das betrifft sie als Medium sowie auch als Träger von Informationen, Geschichten und Emotionen. Der erste Eindruck eines jeden Lesers ist der Umschlag mit Cover und Autorenfoto (und idealerweise treffender Inhaltsangabe), beim Lesen selbst hat das Format und das Layout einen großen Anteil am Gesamteindruck. Die in absoluten Zahlen beständige aber prozentual abnehmende Leserschaft scheint durchaus ein Interesse an schönen Ausgaben und aufwändig illustrierten alten wie neuen Klassikern zu haben. Anders lässt sich die große Anzahl an solchen Ausgaben in den Buchläden und den Verlagskatalogen nicht erklären. Bibliophile Leser nehmen zu und damit werden diese Ausgaben auch günstiger – wie auch im Detail billiger hergestellt. Das Feld der "Klassiker" wird hier besonders beackert und beweist wieder, dass diese Werke eine Zeitlosigkeit bewahren bzw. immer wieder neu gelesen werden können. Meist werden sie in Massen präsentiert und haben fast Mitnahmecharakter. Zudem dürfte die Gemeinfreiheit dieser „alten“ Werke (= der/die Autor/-in ist mehr als 30 Jahre tot) die Veröffentlichung erleichtern. Die Folge einer entsprechenden Gesetzesänderung ist 1867 die Gründung des Reclam Verlages. Diese Zugänglichkeit sollte man als Leser in Anbetracht vergangener Zeiten wertschätzen. Jahrhundertelang war Bildung, die Fähigkeit zu Lesen und der Besitz von Büchern ein Privileg des reichen Adels und der klerikalen Vertreter des Glaubens, heute ermöglichen günstige Ausgaben, das Internet und öffentliche Bibliotheken wie Bücherschränke den Zugriff auf einen Großteil der sogenannten Klassiker.

Unter den großen (= umfangreiches Programm mit dezidierten Klassiker-Reihen) Verlegern von Klassikern sind der kostengünstige Anaconda-Verlag, die ikonischen Reclam-Hefte, der ästhetisch ansprechende Manesse-Verlag und auch der Verlag Coppenrath. Online sind natürlich über das Projekt Gutenberg viele Texte leicht und kostenfrei zugänglich. Aber Spaß macht es nicht diese Online-Versionen im Blocksatz zu lesen. Als Germanistik-Studentin kann ich dieser Online-Bibliothek dennoch einiges verdanken und will sie daher nicht verschweigen. Lesen ist nun mal mehr als Worte zu erfassen, ihre Präsentationsform ist von großer Bedeutung.

Coppenrath bemüht sich besonders um reich illustrierte Ausgaben von Kinderbuchklassikern und verlegt auch die deutschen Ausgaben von Klassikern mit Illustrationen des Designerduos MinaLima. Neben der erwartbaren Kooperation mit den Schaffern des Designs der Filmreihe bei den prachtvollen Harry Potter-Ausgaben liegen hier einige Märchen (Schneewitchen, Die Schöne und das Biest, Die kleine Meerjungfrau, Pinocchio) und typische phantastische Klassiker (Peter Pan, Das Dschungelbuch, Alice im Wunderland, Der geheime Garten, Der Zauberer von Oz) vor. Mit ihren bunten Zeichnungen und Grafiken, starken Farben, einfallsreichen Falt- und Schiebbildern und wohlüberlegtem Schriftdesign werden die (bekannten) Geschichten erweitert, ohne dem Leser eigene Vorstellungswelten zu rauben. Dies dürfte als größte Leistung anerkannt werden.

Neben diesen aufwändigen (und teuren) Prachtausgaben stehen aber auf das Wesentliche, also den Text, beschränkte und preiswertere Ausgaben wie etwa die gelben Reclam-Hefte, die bunten mit Gold verzierten Titeln versehenen Bände der Reihe Leinen mit Goldprägung des Nikol-Verlages und die auch eher günstigen einfarbigen Rücken mit weißer oberer Kante des Anaconda-Verlages. Im Bereich der Science-Fiction ist der Heyne-Verlag und seine Bibliothek der Science Fiction Literatur besonders hervorzuheben, welche einen ebenfalls weißen Einband mit kleinen Bildern verband. Im Bereich der phantastischen Literatur hat der Suhrkamp-Verlag viele Werke verbreitet, in magentafarbenen und lilafarbenen Taschenbüchern, welche letztlich von schwarzen Bänden abgelöst wurden. Die Phantastische Bibliothek ist leider, ebenso wie die Reihe bei Heyne, mit der Jahrtausendwende ausgelaufen. Beide Formate verfolgen den Anspruch eine universell gültige Bibliothek anzulegen, wobei neben bekannten Klassikern des Genres auch weniger beachtete oder heute nicht mehr bekannte Werke zu finden sind.

Unsere visuell geprägte Gegenwart hat auch die Covergestaltung verändert, bunter gemacht und diese mehr in den Fokus gerückt. Die Ausgaben der Meisterwerke der Science Fiction (Heyne) zeigen dementsprechend bunte astronomische Phänomene auf dunklem Hintergrund. Einheitlichkeit und Vielfalt mischen sich in den immer seltener werdenden vollen privaten Bücherregalen meist in der Gänze harmonisch. Während der Hochzeit von Online-Meetings konnten viele Regale bestaunt werden und jeder Interviewpartner musste die schwere Entscheidung treffen, vor welchen Büchern er oder sie, denn besser aussehen könnte oder was der eigenen Funktion hier eher entspräche. Bücher haben damit nach wie vor repräsentative Wirkung und gehören zu einem gewissen gesellschaftlichen Status dazu - ebenso wie die richtige Kleidung. Solche Oberflächlichkeiten mögen (bzw. sollen) ideell keine Rolle spielen, sind aber nach wie vor das erste Einordnungskriterium bei der Begegnung mit Unbekanntem wie Unbekannten. Die Bibliothekspflege ist aber auch schon in Privathaushalten eine höchst komplexe wie notwendige Aufgabe und nicht ohne Grund ein ausgewiesenes Studienfach.

Alle genannten Verlage haben auch andere Ausgaben, Formate, Farben und Layouts im Programm, aber die hier genannten Formate repräsentieren den jeweiligen Verlag ganz besonders. Nach dieser ausführlichen Einleitung soll nun ein kurzer Blick auf bestimmte Reihen folgen: die Bibliothek der Weltliteratur des Manesse-Verlages (seit 1944), Reclams Universal Bibliothek (seit 1867) und Große Klassiker zum kleinen Preis des Anaconda-Verlags (seit 2004). Mit Ausnahme des Reclam-Verlages gehören alle Verlage (ebenso wie Heyne) mittlerweile zur Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe, Manesse seit 2005 und Anaconda seit 2019.

After the pandemic, our studio, Clubcamping, felt compelled to create a signature short with a Latin American flair, addressing the pressing issue of disinformation in our 'post post-truth' age. As we navigated through a sea of information, our narrative began taking shape, emphasizing the distorted effects of disinformation. With our team being 90% female, our heroine naturally emerged as a young girl, standing as a symbol of truth amidst a landscape of deception.

Our creative challenge was twofold: depict the transformative power of disinformation without causing offense, and design characters representative of the disinformation crisis. This task became smoother when @veroinstituto in Brazil partnered with us, integrating our short into their larger campaign against disinformation in Latin America.

In collaboration with @veroinstituto, we expanded our narrative universe, spotlighting the dangers of manipulated truths. We're excited to share more about our journey and the broader campaign.
