Josh finally got a piece about him!! It's devastating and heavier than my usual story/art stuff so a little more detail under the cut about each thing in the drawing:

The necklace: Drawing it as a noose is my way of showing how trapped Josh is in this marriage! The necklace is one of two that him and Adele gave each other as a gift in high school as an anniversary gift.

The red hands: SO. (this has been changed x2) During Adele’s cheating on Josh, she was very disconnected from the family and him so he started hanging out with one of her colleagues and was like huh he’s nice (never let himself develop proper feelings because he’s better than Adele). This guy turned out to be a piece of shit!!! and did NOT respect Josh’s boundaries :(( (below is what happened)

The teal ribbon: It's a sign of awareness for sa survivors if I'm correct.

The daises: They're a sign of recovery which is to show Josh is slowly, very slowly, getting better.

The sorta sun motif at the back off Josh: I always associate the sun with Adele so thats why its there!! He can’t escape it!!

Esther's book had never said anything about this, but then again, a lot of pages were missing. After cleaning up the foliage off her sink, she made her way down the hallway, head spinning. Her days just consisted of finding more flowers, pulling them off her skin and patching them up. A change of routine would be nice. You just have to be alive for only one more month, Janette thought bitterly. What a cursed way to live. Sinking down on the couch, she covered her face, trying to calm down her raging headache.

If only she could give this pain to Adele, that'd save her a lot of work. Through her headache, she heard a knock on the door but couldn't get herself to care about it. It was probably Maria coming home-

She heaved her feet to the door, Janette cringed at the thought that the "Hello" mat was still at the front of the porch was too welcoming for anything. Especially after everything she went through. She opened the door and saw long locks of blonde hair, and those piercing blue eyes that was a labyrinth to get out of. Janette eyes twitched as she glared at the women with a mixture of emotions that even she didn't know. Anger mostly but holy fuck she was beautiful. Stop She thought to herself pushing away those emotions. Janette just scoffed as she closed the door. It didn't though. A calloused pale hand held the edge trying to break the distance, trying to re-build the scorched bridge. "Wait"

"What?" Janette leaned against the door. "What do you want? What do you want to say? I don't want you to say anything. You've hurt me and your husband enough, why don't you leave me alone. You didn't even tell me about him. I don't even love you. JUST LEAVE" Janette's face scrunched in anger, she raised her voice, she shouldn't, she doesn't.

"You practiced that one, I can tell." Adele said, dismissal tone stabbing Janette in her already aching heart. "I've had a lot of time to think about what to say to you-now do you want something or can you get the fuck off my porch?" Janette felt more flowers creep up her skin, probably caused by emotions now that she thought about it. Adele noticed, reaching out to touch them. Janette smacked her hand away, hating herself for wanting her to continue. "You're very confident for someone who killed me," Adele held up her hands in mock self defense, gasping a little. "It was an accident-" "Burning down an entire building when it was just me inside was an accident?" Janette couldn't stop her voice from cracking a little. Either Adele was a terrible gaslighter or she'd gaslight herself into thinking it'd been an accident.

"Does Josh know? Does he know his partner is a criminal? Oh and a cheater of course," She added the last part sarcastically. Adele was looking at her with too much affection and she grabbed the doorhandle, prepared to close it to stop both of them.

"Not enough obviously." There was no warmth, no connection, nothing. She let her hold her face for a while, not like she hated it anyway. "The only reason why I don't call the police and file a restraining order or worse, because some people out there think I'm dead." Janette yelled out dead a bit more louder than she should have which made her cringe a little on the inside, but she didn't want her to see any vulnerability. "Next time you show up on my porch, I swear on my kid's life that you will hurt you Adele Beckett" Janette took a step forward glaring at her with all hatred from each generation and each church before her. Adele sighed, she waved her hand dismisively as she moved into the distance. "Fine, see you later" That sentence felt both like a threat or a promise, Janette didn't like the sound of that. After much struggle and back and forward she finally closed the door. Her back slid against the door. "I really need to move"

-Ryan and Carmela do get back togheter but probably when they’re 19-20 since they were like uhhh teenage years we have to deal with out own seperate trauma and maybe date other people but they stayed the best of friends and then tried dating again later and it works!! (idk if its realistic?but this is a fantasy story its fine/hj shdhkjd)

-Reo would be like ‘would you still love me if i was a worm’ and both of them would be having monster puberty (lmao) and be like ‘yes ofc why would i not’ (MY HEART AUGHSHDJ)

-Jarley is just josh going ‘my son intoduced me to mitski and I think we could listen to it maybe togheter idk’ and then fast foward an hour and they’re both sitting there sobbing but holding hands (and like those comedic lipstick kisses even though neither of them are wearing lipstick its funny to me)
