The woman who killed her took her to a magic city INSIDE OF HER SWORD and Adelaide's time there made her rethink how she ruled as Queen of Death and she decided to make an AFTERLIFE REALM TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO PREPARE FOR BEING RELEASED INTO NOTHING!!! Happy Secret Samol! My gift for @ketraia is an embroidery representing Hella as Adularia's knight.

I originally intended to write something, but the characters ended up just outside of my comfort zone enough that I was more comfortable doing something visual. So then the trick became, how do I make ship art out of non-representative textural embroidery? I ended up straying a little far from the prompt (rip to Adair you were supposed to be in here somehow), but it was fun to stretch my creativity and represent characters I normally wouldn't.

Bonus: look how sparkly it is! (Check under the cut for more detail/progress shots.)

The materials used are silk and velvet scraps, polyester organza, craft pearls, acrylic stones, Swarovski crystals, dollhouse mirror frames, and pen&ink drawing with liquid gold leaf detailing. All came from my stash! It's embroidered with a combination of tambour beading and needle and thread.

I had the pleasure of participating in Secret Samol for the first time this year! I got @mosswolf and they asked for death night and queen hella/adelaide. I based these on actual paintings and made them with gouache. It was super fun!
