Chapter One
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
― Maya Angelou
—
Addison growled with the pain of the headache that hit her. There was a deafening sound in her ears and the taste in her mouth was of lipstick and booze. Tequila and a hint of lime. Quickly, the flash of memories invaded her brain, making her head pound a little. She sat on the bed, one that wasn’t her own but she’d been sleeping for the past days.
The concept of hotels was something she could honestly appreciate. Having someone make your bed, cook for you and call you in the morning to wake you up, even if for a fee, was worth every expensive penny she paid for it. Addison had come from money, even before she became a doctor. Her parents were old money people with country club Sunday brunches and golf association participation. As a teenager she’d taken all the classes that would turn her into the perfect young bride, a model of housewife like her mother. But nobody was really that unhappy with Addison’s choice into medicine. It was a pristine career, even with the long hours. But mostly that was because her family loved Derek.
They were charmed by him from the start and the fact both of them were to become the perfect doctors couple, well that was everything Bizzy and the Captain had hoped for their Addie. A dream life of her own–imagined by them. Of course, there was still pressure to be a doctor and a good wife and, hopefully soon, to become a mother. But that was off the bet now with how things had unfolded.
She hadn’t told Bizzy or the Captain, not even her brother, about Derek cheating or about coming to Seattle–like she wouldn’t be telling them about the blonde lying beside her on the five-star hotel bed. Some things were just better left unsaid. Of course they wouldn’t need to find out about Meredith, it was a one night thing, but certainly the fact she wasn’t with Derek or in New York anymore would eventually come to bite her in the ass. She would enjoy all the time she had until then.
The ring of the phone stirred the woman beside her and Addison quickly reached over her to pick up the receiver. On the other side, the receptionist announced the time and that she was calling upon the request to be woken up the day before. Addison cursed mentally for placing the request in the first place but out loud she thanked her. She asked about breakfast and Addison confirmed and added “for two please” and hung up. Rolling back on the bed, she laid on her stomach and sighed. Her eyes were drifting closed when the blonde sat up next to her.
“What time is it?” Meredith asked mid yawn and Addison opened her eyes again. There was a blue aura of moonlight coming from the window outlining Meredith’s silhouette. She held her hand over her chest, keeping the sheets over her breasts. Her back was bare and there were very few thin red lines left behind the night before by Addison’s fingernails.
“Five am.”
They had left the bar around eleven and rolled in bed, a wild mass of limbs until about  two in the morning. It wasn’t exactly ideal to go to work, on her first day at the new job, with only three hours of sleep, but Addison had done longer shifts in her life. She wasn’t going to be shaken by it. Besides, she felt more refreshed than not with the sex from the previous night.
“I have to be at work, sorry it woke you. Feel free to stay in.” Addison closed her eyes again, she needed one more moment with the pillow. Just five more. Truth was, she wasn’t really used to the aftermath of casual sex. She wasn’t even used to casual sex. She’d been married for ten years and before that her college flings were all over before the next day. But she figure there was no point in trying to be an asshole and kick the blonde out. “I asked them to send up breakfast.”
“Won’t your husband be upset you’re letting a woman stay in your hotel room?”

Can’t Go Back Part 23
The boys showed up for brunch on time this week. Scott was smirking at me every time I limped a little. It’s been a while. I flipped him off when no one was watching. “He should be less grouchy now.” I muttered.
“Great.”
“Want another coffee, Monty?” Scott asked. I shot him a death glare.
“I’m good. Golden.”
“I’m sure you are.” He smirked. I walked over to my husband and hugged him sheepishly. He kissed the top of my head. Justin snorted. I rolled my eyes. Charlie was his usual nice self and said nothing. I did catch him smiling at us though.
I wasn’t feeling the whole making a nice, big meal thing this morning, so I pulled out a couple of boxes of cereal-the ones Monty doesn’t eat out of-and set them on the island. There was bread next to the toaster and yogurt in the fridge. I waved towards the food. “My home is your home. Brunch is served.” The boys replied with a chorus of thank you’s. I sat back and watched them from the corner of the kitchen. They moved around each other so easily and fell into joking conversation so easily. It was almost hard to remember where we had come from even just a year ago. I thought back to the day we told Justin about us. I was positive there would be at least a little blood. Hence the public, well trafficked, meeting place. Monty said something I didn’t catch, and Justin threw his head back laughing. Scott shook his head.
“Hey, question for you guys?” Charlie asked, breaking me from my revere.
“Yeah?”
“Why do you keep Nutella in the fridge?”
“Don’t question it.” Monty shook his head. “It was a point of contention. Just let it happen.”
“Do you keep peanut butter in the fridge?”
“Yeah. But that’s because we buy the natural one and it says to refrigerate it.” I shrugged.
“Why do you buy natural peanut butter?” Justin asked, his mouth half full of toast.
“Points.” Monty replied. Justin nodded.
“But Nutella isn’t really natural.” Charlie pointed out.
“I don’t know. My family always kept it in the fridge after opening it. Just one of those things I guess.” I shrugged.
“And my family did not. So, we compromised and keep it in the fridge.”
“Okay. Are you going to eat anything Addison?” I nodded and grabbed a bowl for some yogurt and granola.
When I looked for the dried cherries to put on top, I couldn’t find them. I knew we had some somewhere. I just bought them. Remembering that Monty had helped put away the last grocery shop, I stepped back from the pantry and looked up. Low and behold, there were the cherries. Two shelves from the top. I blinked rapidly.
“Hey babe.”
“Yes honey?” He obviously knew what I was going to ask.
“Where are the cherries?”
“I think you can see them.”
“Yes. I can. And why are they up there?”
“I’unno.” The boys laughed at his response.
“Honey?”
“Yes dear?”
“How tall am I?”
“Five somethin’?”
“Yeah.”
“On a good day.” I rolled my eyes. Dick.
“And how high would you say that shelf is?”
“Six somethin’ give or take?”
“Okay. And love?”
“Darling?”
“How am I supposed to reach them when they are over a foot above me?” Justin, Scott, and Charlie burst out laughing.
“Reach real high?” Justin suggested.
“Use the Force?” Charlie added.
“Scale the shelf?” Scott laughed.
“Ha ha. Very funny boys.”
“It is, yeah.”
“Assholes.” I smirked.
“Would you like some help babe?” I sighed. The stubborn part of me said no but the growl of my stomach said yes.
“Since you offered.” I stepped out of the way. Monty grabbed the cherries and tore open the bag for me. He grabbed a spoon to scoop some out and sprinkled them on top. I watched as he arranged some more in a smiley face at the edge of the bowl. He was so sweet. Our friends pretended not to notice. I heard them whispering about it after brunch though.
We sat around for a while before our friends had to leave. “If you need help later, call me.” Justin offered.
“I know. Hopefully we won’t have to.” Justin gave Monty a look above me. His brow rose slightly. “I’ll tell mum and dad you say hi.” We hugged and the three boys left us alone for the rest of the afternoon. It was around twelve thirty. We still had a couple of hours to kill before we had to go to my parent’s place. I changed my pants, grabbed a book from the shelf and got comfortable on the couch. Monty came over and laid on the couch with his head in my lap. He flipped on the tv quietly and I played with his hair. He pressed a soft kiss to my thigh and squeezed it a little.
“Not happening right now. I don’t want to have to shower twice today.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He muttered against my thigh.
“And I’m still a little sore.”
“Could tell you how to fix that.”
“I don’t think that would fix it Casanova.”
“Only one way to find out.” He nipped my thigh lightly. I sucked in a small breath.
“Was staying up until four not enough for you?” He didn’t answer. “Oh wait. Who am I talking to? Of course, it wasn’t.” I ruffled his hair.
“You weren’t complaining about it last night. Or this morning.”
“I’m not complaining.” I smirked into my book.
“Alright.” He kissed my thigh again.
“I’m not saying we can’t Montgomery. I’m just saying we can’t right now. When we get back from mum and dad’s, you can have me all to yourself.”
“That’s so far from now though.”
“I’m sure you’ll survive. Besides, wouldn’t you rather have the time to make it interesting?”
“I can do quite a lot in,” he paused to check his watch, “an hour and fifteen minutes.”
“You also get the luxury of sitting on the couch though. I have to bend and stuff.” I looked down as he rolled his eyes playfully.
“Fine, fine.”
“I’ll shower as soon as we get home, promise.”
“Then I get you all to myself for the night?” I nodded. He sat up and pulled my book down to kiss me. “Deal.”
We got to my parent’s place a little bit before three. Mum and dad were still going through the hutch to see what they wanted to keep or get rid of. There were a few different piles in the living room. “Hey kids.”
“Hey dad.”
“Need any help?”
“No, Monty. You go sit. Rest up.” Mum shooed. “There’s a pillow on the couch for you.”
“I can do this part though. It’s just organizing.” He protested. Mum looked up at him with her best mom face.
“I’d listen to her son.” Dad said, seriously.
“I haven’t gotten that look in a long time.” I shook my head.
“Okay.” Monty sighed and went to sit on the couch.
I think he felt a little useless. I smiled at him and mouthed ‘I love you’. He mouthed it back. My mum waved me over and made me take her spot. She got up and began to twitter around Monty. She was trying to be helpful. I turned as she got him a glass of water and fluffed the pillow that he was elevating his leg on. I lifted a brow.
“She never fluffed my pillow when I was injured.” I muttered to my dad.
“She didn’t even fluff my pillow when I broke my ankle skiing when we were young and could still do that kind of thing.”
“Are you sure you could do it then? Seeing as you broke your ankle.” I joked. Dad chuckled.
“We were young and spry once Addison.”
“I’m sure you were dad.” I stuck my tongue out at him. I held up an old pair of mittens. At least I thought it was a pair. Dad shook his head and I tossed it in the garbage pile.
“Can I get you anything else dear?”
“No thanks Margot. I’m all good here. Thank you.” You wouldn’t be hovering so much if you knew he was cleared for physical activity.
Mum puttered around the kitchen, regularly checking in on Monty. Dad and I continued to dig through the hutch and get rid of things. Every now and then one of us would find something random and have to stop to ask mum what to do with it. Usually the answer was “If we haven’t needed it for long enough that it’s been exiled to the hutch, we don’t need it.” None of us could argue with that logic. I sighed when I pulled out yet another pair of mittens. Turning to the pile of only mittens I had begun to make; I shook my head.
“You two know we live in the Bay area, right?”
“Yes. Why do you ask?”
“Because there is a pile of like twenty pairs of mittens here.”
“We use them when we go out east in the winter.” Mum said as she walked over.
“Mum. When is the last time we went to Boston over the winter?” I literally could not remember. She had to stop and think. “If it’s been that long, we don’t need them.”
“We should keep a few pairs though. Your father and I might want to go sometime.” I shrugged. I turned to my husband. He looked like he desperately wanted something to do. I figured mum wouldn’t protest too much if he went through the mittens. It wasn’t like it required a whole lot of lower body movement. He nodded gratefully.
Gathering up the pile, I walked over and dropped them on the coffee table. Monty looked relieved to have something to do. “She means well.” I mumbled and kissed the top of his head. He nodded. We were almost done emptying the catch-all. I groaned internally. That meant it was almost time to move that stupid thing. They had to wait until Montgomery was injured to get rid of it. Mum and dad finished emptying and organizing while I grabbed some rags to try to slide the oversized hutch on without completely destroying the floors.
Because of the front steps and where the garage door was in the house, it was easier to move it through the house the long way, than to take it outside the shorter way. Since I was quote ‘closer to the ground’ as Montgomery put it, I was in charge of sliding the rags underneath the massive wooden beast. Mum and dad heaved one corner up off the ground and I quickly slid a rag underneath. They huffed slightly when it went down. “One down. Three to go.” I said.
“Mhmm.” Dad hummed. We tried to work as quickly as possible with the remaining three corners. The three of us stood back to try and assess the best plan of action now. Mum suggested we try to just push it all from one side. That sounded like an accident waiting to happen to me. Dad thought we could have more success if we pushed and pulled straight from opposing sides. Again, that sounded like a very expensive ambulance ride would be in our near future. I suggested that we try shimmying it across the house from opposing sides. My parents shrugged at the idea. To me it seemed like the safest option.
“Fourth option. We call Justin to help.” Monty piped up from the couch.
“No, I don’t want to bother him if we don’t have to. He has his own things to do today.” It was Saturday after all. He usually hit a meeting sometime this afternoon or evening. We all agreed to at least try to do it on our own.
“I see why you like to… what do you call it babe? Supervise?” Monty asked, from his spot on the couch. That used to be my spot. He looked quite comfortable.
“Yeah. What of it?” I huffed.
“This is nice.” I rolled my eyes. Dad grunted as he pushed his side of the hutch. It moved less than an inch.
“What if we shimmy it that way a little more?” Mum suggested.
“That could help.” Dad shrugged. We pushed. And then we pulled. And then we pushed a little more. The damn thing wouldn’t budge. I stood up and put my hands on my waist to catch my breath.
“Can we call for more muscle now?” Dad nodded. Monty grabbed my phone off the coffee table and called Justin. He put it on speaker.
“Hey Addy.”
“Hey. Are you busy?”
“No, why? Need some help?”
“Yeah. Scared dad is going to throw his back out.”
“I’ll be right over. Zach is with me. It’ll be a breeze.”
“Sounds good.”
“The hutch is like two hundred pounds man. I think you should lower your expectations.”
“Says the guy who gets to watch from the couch.” Monty just laughed and hung up.
The three of us took a break while we waited for Justin and Zach to show up. I wondered if Zach was going to be in a better mood today or not. I wiped the sweat from my face with the collar of my shirt. Monty looked up at me when I sat down next to him. “You’re going to need to go sit somewhere else.” He whispered. I sniffed myself even though I hadn’t sweat that much. Or as much as I was likely to later.
“I don’t smell that bad.” I rolled my eyes.
“No, you don’t.” I turned to him, surprised by his shortness with me. When I caught sight of his eyes darkening, it made sense. “I need you to go sit somewhere else, Doll.”
“Okay.” I nodded and stood. Making myself comfortable on the love seat, I sighed. “Why did you decide that now was the best time to move the hutch?” Dad shrugged. Neither of them said anything. Their silence worried me. They didn’t move it before because Gran would have been so upset if she came to visit and it wasn’t there. Does that mean…? “Gran isn’t... sick or anything, is she?” Monty and I both looked at my parents over the couch.
“Oh! No, honey. Not that your dad or I know about anyway.” I breathed a sigh of relief. I might think she is a backwards, far too rich for her own good, arrogant old lady, but she’s still my grandma.
Justin and Zach sauntered in around four thirty.  “Heard you needed some muscle?” Justin grinned, flexing dramatically. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. What a dork.
“Woah there, slugger. Put those away before you hurt someone.” Dad laughed. Mum shook her head and continued to fuss over Monty. He looked less than thrilled with the attention.
“Hey Zach.” I nodded.
“Hey.” He looked at Monty and pointed discreetly. Monty shrugged.
“Hey man.”
“Hey.”
“Thank you for coming boys.”
“No problem, Mama. Where do you need us?”
“Mama?”
“No good?”
“No.” Mum replied, flatly.
“Alright.” Justin laughed. He seemed very cheery.
The five of us went back to the hutch to try to decide on a better plan of action. Zach took a couple of laps around the hutch, and then walked to the back door. He shrugged and then walked back to the hutch. “Shimmying it sounds like the best option. You might need more cloth though. Didn’t you guys redo the floors like a year ago?”
“Yeah. And we almost slipped when we got home from that movie?” I laughed.
“What movie was it?”
“Leap Frog or something?”
“With Amy Adams?”
“Yeah.”
“Leap Year.” Monty added. “You went to a rom-com with my girlfriend.”
“Hey dude. If I knew she was your girlfriend I would have told you to take her. It was a replay at the Crestmont anyway. It’s not like it was new.” Justin cleared his throat. Oh. Crap. Zach and I looked at each other wide-eyed.
“Mom? Would you say these two mitts go together?”
“Yes. I would.” Dad stepped in to try to diffuse some tension.
“I think there is a drop cloth or two in the closet upstairs. Justin, why don’t you go grab it?”
“Sure Pops.” He mumbled. I slumped against the hutch when he went upstairs.
“We suck. I feel so bad.”
“I know. I’m sure he’s fine though. He’s tough.” Zach patted me on the back. It was the most unforced physical contact we had had recently.
Justin came down a while later with the drop cloth and a few old beach towels. He was smiling so I thought that everything must be okay. Dad helped him spread the drop cloth on the floor and the beach towels went over top of that. We all groaned once the floor protection was down. That meant we had to lift it up again. Zach, Justin, and dad took one side while mum and I took the other. When that didn’t help anyone, Justin came over to help mum and I. It turned out that our extra muscle was actually Zach. He traded places with Justin and the five of us managed to get one side of the hutch on the cloth. Mum elected herself to pull the cloth underneath if we lifted the other side. After another few minutes of heaving and grunting and whining, we got the cloth under the hutch.
Now that it was fully on a slidable surface, we could shimmy it through the house easier. The boys decided to push us ladies to the side and handle it themselves. Mum and I shook our heads at each other. “You’re doin’ great guys.” Monty called from the couch. He wasn’t even looking. So much for supervising. I smiled as dad showed off for my mum a little. Even after all these years, they were still so in love with each other. No matter how many fights they got in or how hard things got, they always had each other’s back. They were truly partners. Dad, Justin, and Zach had moved it all the way to the back door now. All we had to do was get it over the hump and find a spot for it in the garage. Mum and I were called over to facilitate a spot. It wasn’t until after the hutch was situated in a corner, safely away from anything that could fall on it and break whatever fell-because this thing could probably survive a bombing, let’s be honest here-that I spotted a dolly in the rafters. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.
“Hey parents.”
“Hey kid?” Dad answered.
“Why didn’t we just use the dolly?” Dad was silent for a moment.
“I-I. It’s moved now. That’s what’s important.” Justin and I shrugged.
I had broken quite the sweat from the workout and knew that I had promised Monty alone time when we were finished. I wanted to go home and shower. I wanted to be alone with my husband. And I could tell he was growing tired of my mother’s constant fussing. She means well. Monty and I took our leave at the same time as Justin and Zach did. Mum and dad thanked us for the help. They were both grateful for the free labour.
Us kids stood on the front walk awkwardly. We didn’t really know how to say bye to each other. Zach definitely was not friends with Monty, and I wasn’t holding my breath on that.  I wasn’t even sure if I was still friends with Zach anymore. And even though we joked around inside, I don’t think it changed anything for him. Maybe he was starting to come around a little? I couldn’t be sure. The joking around. I nervously peeked at Justin. He seemed fine enough. We still didn’t really spend a lot of time talking about what happened while he was… out of town. It just never felt like the right time or that there wasn’t a way to really talk about it without someone being the asshole in the conversation. We all decided the easiest way to say bye was the most awkward pleasantries we could come up with. The thanks wave and no problem nod. A nod towards the car. And of course, fumbling the keys. I waved as I drove past the Audi. Zach waved back.
After we were home and I had my shower, Monty scooped me up bridal style-even though it was still against doctor’s orders- and dropped me on the bed. I landed with a soft ‘oof’ and smiled up at him. “Time for things to get interesting.” He smirked down at me. His large hand wrapped around my thin ankle and pulled me towards him.

The last few weeks had been complicated to Addison but things were finally starting to work out between her and Clarissa, so much that she even dared to visit her store for the first time. A warm smile playing on her pink lips as she walked towards the counter to greet Winter. She had been one of the first people she met when she first arrived, even before finding out she worked for Clarissa and enjoyed her company. "Hey!" Addison greeted her as she leaned over the counter and placing her purse over it. "I feel like we haven't talked in ages, so I'm here take you out for brunch. What do you say?" @winterbaldwin

A place it used to be yours.
This is the SO waited part II of Say I'm Free to Go. I'm really happy by all the love it received. Thank you guys for all the support. Your feedbacks are always welcome and expected. ;)
"I've got sunshine on a cloudy day, when it's cold outside I've got the month of may..." Henry sang opening the curtains and letting the sun in and fill the room. "What are you doing?" You complained, tucking your face into the pillow. "Well I guess you'd say what can make me feel this way?" He continues to sing while a smirk plays on his lips. You rub your eyes trying to adapt with the lighting. With your eyes barely open you can see the image of Henry gesturing and serenading to you. He is dressed with only a boxer, the skin of his face recently shaved. Unlike you, he has a fresh look on his face. You feel ashamed for not being such a morning person as he is. Your wrinkled face smiles at him, finding the scene awkwardly cute and funny. You crawl out of the bed and reach him, wrapping him into a very cozy and warm hug. It was summer, but the weather wasn't so hot. He was smelling like him — not like his shampoo or his soap. His natural smell. It felt good. He hugs you back, his big arms pulling you out of the ground. "What left you with that mood?" You ask with your voice muffled because your face is buried on his neck. "My girl... I'm talking 'bout my girl... MY GIRL!" He laughs and place a kiss on your cheek. "'M just happy." You look at him paying attention on the way his lips move. "How can I ever be grumpy if I get to wake up next to you everyday?" He kisses you quickly.
The rays of the sun invading your living room make you squeeze your eyes. In addition to the hassle, the first thing you feel is a huge headache. Your body is lying next to Henry, who has his face turned to the opposite side of the window. His face always with such strong masculine features now seem almost nonexistent, an angelic aura seems to replace it as he sleeps. As you struggle to get up, you feel the blanket slip and your hands find the cold floor. You shudder and realize that you are also without your shirt on. Henry is also shirtless, but his pants are in the right place. For a few seconds you try to recover and reminisce about last night, but not very successful at first. You finally get up but not with very steady steps. Last night's water glasses are in the same place. Turning back to the living room, next to Henry are a few bottles of beer, he is lying on the belly blanket down. When looking at the shelf you see the clock ticking 12pm. You rush to get your blouse and swallow a painkiller before getting in the shower. As the warm water falls on your shoulders, flashes of the last night hits your mind.
"I won’t let you go." He said, smiling. You decided to put a blanket on the floor so you and Henry could lay down. Henry sits with his legs crossed and you hand him a bottle of beer, opening another to you. You sit next to him, leaning your back against the couch. You turn the TV on and take a sip of the beer at the same time as him. "Friends With Benefits" is playing on some channel and you dedice to watch. Henry lays his eyes on the TV taking  a deep breath. "Did ever you think of being friends with benefits with me? I mean, before it all?" He looks at you, his blue eyes seeming a little innocent, probably because of the alcohol. "That wouldn't have worked for us."  You laugh and looks at him. His free hand reach your hand and you stay silent, paying attention to the movie. "You fell in love with me on the first day." You break the silence. You two had already drunk four or five bottles of beer. "Yeah, 't's true. But in my defense look at you, (Y/N). And you wore that tight red dress on purpose didn't you?" He spoke with a low voice under the influence of alcohol and looked at you with heavy eyes but with a little malice deep in them. He smirked. "If only..." you laugh. "The last thing I wanted it was to be with someone that night. You were lucky." You cup his face with one of your hands, his beard bothering the soft skin. " These blue eyes of yours..." You take a time to observe him. His skin is sweaty, his curls slightly messy and his lips shining in a dark pink. He looks away from the television and his eyes meet yours. "It's hot in here." He says, the body hanging slightly closer to you. As an act of reflection you step back a little. Henry gets as closer as he can and you finally move forward, opening your mouth lightly for a kiss. His cold lips make you shiver and your hands rise to caress his hair. Your hands slide to his neck while he drop the beer aside and holds your waist tightly. You make a move and sits on his lap, your legs one to each side of his waist. He firmly pulls your hair but not in a way that can hurt you, of course. He deposite wet kisses on your neck while his hands travels under the fabric of your blouse. You kiss him, the sound of a sex scene on the TV being the soundtrack of the act full of desire. He finally take your blouse off, smirking as he sees your breasts. He goes kissing your neck to your breasts, cuping them with one of his hands and holding you closer with the other. You finally unbutton his shirt and he take it off not letting your mouths separate. You grope the fly of his jeans and open it, unbuttoning the leather belt as well. In the middle of the kiss, Henry begins to laugh. Not a simple laugh but a loud, exasperated laugh. You also laugh without understanding what is happening. He still laughing, but he gently bites the skin of your neck. "You have no idea..." He take a time to breathe. "You have no idea how much I want to fuck — he whispers the last word — you right now." He looks at you and puts a quick kiss on your lips. "But I'm so drunk right now that I'm not sure about what can happen." You laughed harder and louder letting your body fall to the other side, your tummy aching from all the laughing. You cover your breasts with the blouse, covering your face with your hands, starting to get red. "M sorry." He laughed, holds one of your hands and kiss it. "It's fine." You yawn and looks at him. "I was never a fan of drunk sex anyways."
You dress yourself with a jeans and a t-shirt and start to collect the bottles as quietly as you could. You wash the dishes and makes black coffee. As you put coffee into your cup, Henry walks over and kisses your cheek. "Morning, sunshine!" you turn around and smile at him. "Headache? I left a pill for you. It's on the table." He murmurs you a "thank you" and fill a glass of water before swallowing it. You both sit and have a brunch before laying down on the couch and cuddle for a few hours. A nap was inevitable, so when Henry wakes up in the afternoon he carries you to the bed and leave you sleeping like an angel. When you wake up it's almost another day. You rub your eyes and get up of the bed, rushing to feed Arthur, your fish. "I am sorry, bug. I think you saw what happened here today... did you missed Henry? You do remember him, don't you? By the way, does fishes have memory?" You wonder and laugh at your own thinking. After so many hours of sleep, you feel energized enough and start packing up all the mess that remains of last night (and from the rest of the month). Far from being a big mess, but there were some things out of place. After the entire organization you finally reach your cell phone. There are some messages from Addison, some from your mother and a message from Henry. Heyyyy! Wow, I must say it feels kinda weird to text you after so long. Anyway. I love you. I loved last night. I may have or may not had forgot my keychain in your flat. Could you please check if it's there? It might sound stupid, but you knew how much this keychain was special to him. It was a Chiefs one, one he won on the first game he watched. It was a little old, so it was always falling. After a short searching you found it under the couch. You typed the message, but erase as soon as an idea popped into your mind. You knew that Henry used to sleep late, so you decided to personally deliver the keychain to him. You got up as excited as a little child and put on your shoes. The whole fifteen minutes drive to his house you felt like a teenage girl going to a first date. The famous butterflies in your stomach were there to make you feel anxious — and stupid.
"I'm nervous." He confess and take his eyes off the street to look at you. "Nervous?" You say. "Why, baby? Are your parent's there or whatever?" "No. No. It's just that... what if you don't like it?" He looks back on the street, paying attention to the signs. You smile, wondering how this love you feel inside of you right now haven't killed you yet. Henry it was the sweetest man you have ever met. All his looking and size could never show how big and even fragile his heart could be. He was the always concerned with the little things that may or may not please you or make you happy, sad. You have been dating for a few months now and he had just bought this new house and this was the first time you would visit. "If I didn't trust your good taste, I wouldn't have started dating you." You laugh and kisses his cheek.
You took the liberty of not knocking on his door when you finally arrived. You entered quietly and called his name a few times, with no response whatsoever. You go up the stairs. "[...] but I love you. I really do." You hear a feminine voice in his bedroom. You approach and look by the semi closed door gap. A long legged woman is kinda laying on the bed. She is blonde, her eyes are blue for as far as you can see and she looks exactly like a Victoria's Secret angel. She is dressed with a tank top and a legging. Still it seems like she just left a Victoria's Secret Sport photoshoot. "How can you say that to me now?" Henry says, leaving the suite. He stands in front of her dressed with a jogger and shirtless. The woman stands up and presses her body against his. She caresses his arms and holds it while he has no reaction. "Cuz I just realized it. C'mon, Henry. So are you gonna say that it's not reciprocal? Huh? What about every night? Every morning after, by the way?" She smirks and let her face as close as it could to him. "Everything we been through here — she emphasizes and hit the bed with her hands — in this bed? You forgot? Cuz I'm here right now. And I can make you remember." She kisses him, fiercely. And he wraps her waist. You feel the tears growing in your eyes and before you know it it's all streaming down your face. You let a groan left your mouth and suddenly Henry sees you. He runs to reach you, but you throw the keychain and run as fast as you can to your car.   The only thing you want to do is cry, feel like you want to disappear. You start your car and accelerate without looking back. You dry the tears from your eyes so you can see the street better. Your thoughts are a million. You can only cry and feel like the most disappointed woman in the world. He had not only taken another woman to a place that used to be yours, but had also awakened love in her heart. And at that moment you felt a million times lower than her. She was your total opposite. Tall. Super skinny. Looked like an angel... And had been countless times in a place where it used to be yours.
I KNOW! I’m a b****! And I have a very messy ass unpredictable schedule!!! And I’m a sucker for angst!!!!!! I AM VERY SORRY!!! I was really happy with all the feedback I received from this story. For me, as a writer, it's really cool even more since english it's not my mother tongue and realizing that you all really understand everything I write AMAZING. LOL. Anyway, thank you very much. I repeat: Feedback is always very important. It drives me to write more! WARNING: Probably next week we'll have another imagine! A request, this time. The nine best family hotels in San Diego that I review below really do offer something for all ages. They’re scattered across the county — on the beach, near the beach, and further inland — and are perfect for vacations and staycations. If you’ve been a reader for a while, then you know that I look at hotels with an eye toward family-friendliness.
The kid-friendly San Diego hotels I recommend to friends and family have plenty of amenities for adults, as well as for children, and top-notch service.  Below, I’ve summarized what stands out about the best kid-friendly hotels in San Diego, CA so you can find a great place to stay.
TIP: If there’s a clear way to book that will give you the best value, I’ve mentioned it here. If not, there will be a link that will help you find the best price across multiple travel sites. I’m not a fan of paying full price when I don’t have to, so in addition to sharing hotel discounts and extras, I’ve also written extensively about San Diego discounts and how to get discounted California theme park tickets. Check out those links for ways to save on a San Diego vacation.

Fairmont Grand Del Mar
Neighborhood: Carmel Valley (East of Del Mar)
Kids’ club: Yes. The Explorer’s Club offers half-day, full-day and evening sessions for kids ages 5-2 year-round. It is complimentary for two hours when parents book a spa treatment, whether you’re staying overnight or not.
Why go: For those who with kids love five-star hotels, Fairmont Grand Del Mar is the best hotel in San Diego for families. In fact, this kid-friendly San Diego luxury hotel is one you may just not want to leave. This is my top pick.
Its central location with easy access to the I-5 freeway makes exploring attractions like LEGOLAND California to the north and San Diego Zoo to the south a breeze.
Amenities for kids:
State-of-the-art supervised Explorer’s Club with daily scheduled programming or drop-in use for kids ages 5–2, including the latest video games, fully-stocked arts, and crafts center, traditional games, foosball, ping pong and more
Horseback riding lessons at the onsite Equestrian Center
Children’s pool with wading area and sand play area
A family pool with underwater music
Personalized family tennis lessons
BMW bikes (including kids’ bikes)
Children’s menus at Amaya, Club M, the Resort Pool and through in-room dining
Junior golf and complimentary junior golf club rentals (kids 2 receive complimentary tee times when playing with an adult while 3-7 play at half-price)
Seasonal activities such as s’mores and dive-in pool movie nights
Amenities for parents:
Private Tom Fazio-designed golf course with exclusive access for hotel guests
One of San Diego’s best spas complete with gorgeous lounging areas, couples treatments, and a private pool
Explorer’s Club kids’ club during the day and evenings
Complimentary two hours of Explorer’s Club included with spa treatments
Addison, a culinary sensation that is San Diego’s only Michelin-star restaurants
Two pro-style tennis courts complete with instructors and clinics
Designer boutiques
Guided canyon hikes
Courtesy transportation to/from Del Mar, La Jolla, and Solana Beach (must be reserved 24 hours in advance)
Top-notch service everywhere
Beach access: Reserve The Grand Beach Service 24 hours in advance which includes round-trip transportation to Del Mar’s 8th Street beach (fantastic). They’ll take you with chairs, towels, bottled water, and umbrellas.
Good to know: Guests receive twice-daily housekeeping, in-room bottled water, and coffee, free WiFi, daily newspaper, complimentary self-parking included in a $45/night plus tax resort fee that is charged at check-out. The resort fee usually does not appear in rate quotes. There is not a lot to do within walking distance so a rental car is advisable for sightseeing off of the resort.
Awards: on TripAdvisor, AAA Four Diamonds, three Forbes five-stars each for Addison, the hotel and spa. Addison has one Michelin star.
Reservations: You have access to special Virtuoso amenities that add value to a stay and may include breakfast for two, an activity credit, upgrades, occasionally a 3rd night free, and more.
*If viewing on a mobile device, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Full Site” to access rates and booking. When searching rates on Virtuoso, do not input your children as it will price them as adults. Mention how many kids you’re traveling with (and ages) in the special requests section and I’ll add them when I double-check your reservation.

Hotel Del Coronado
Neighborhood: Coronado
Kids’ club: Yes. DelVentures offers -hour activities and daily evening activities between 6:00–9:00 p.m. so that parents can enjoy dinner onsite in peace.
Why go: The red roof of this historic San Diego hotel has become one of the city’s icons. The roster of Hollywood celebrities, U.S. Presidents and other dignitaries who have stayed at Hotel Del Coronado since its opening in 888 is nothing short of impressive.
It’s San Diego’s best full-service hotel on the beach—Coronado Municipal Beach is considered one of America’s best beaches by the Travel Channel.
Amenities for kids:
DelVentures kids’ club for kids ages 5–2
A gorgeous flat sandy beach in front of the hotel with (usually) gentle waves and tide pools at low tide
A delicious ice cream shop on site
Stand-up paddleboard and surf lessons
Water toys and fun in the main pool
Summer s’mores and dive-in movie nights
Ages 4 and up are welcome to receive spa services
Bike and surrey rentals
Adorable two-bedroom family suites with bunk beds and sea-themed decor in the kids’ room.
Amenities for parents:
7 shops to browse (Babcock & Story is my personal favorite)
Several beachfront dining and cocktail areas that are amazing venues during sunset
Yoga on the beach
Beachside spin class
Mermaid fitness classes (yes, really)
San Diego’s best Sunday brunch
Family portraits arranged through the Concierge
Full-service Spa at The Del
Boat rentals
Del Beach rentals (where adult drinks and snacks are served)
Beach access: The beach is right in front of the hotel.
Good to Know: This is a busy resort. Most of the time, the service is very good and guests are very happy. During peak seasons, it’s advisable to make spa and dining reservations (including breakfast during winter break) before arrival. Restaurants and shops on Orange Avenue are within walking distance and there is a ferry from downtown San Diego to Coronado on the other side of the island (a quick Uber or 30-minute walk from the hotel). There is also quite a bit to do during the holidays at Hotel Del Coronado from a seaside ice skating rink to other special programming.
I have also written a very detailed guide to Hotel Del Coronado that addresses how to select a room and much more. A $200 million renovation is underway and construction is visible around the resort. From September 26, 209–May 2020, the main pool will be closed for renovation. From September 26–May 2020, the California Cabanas will be closed for renovation. Winter programming is scheduled per usual. You can read more about it here (click under terms and conditions) but guests continue to book in and have a great time. Book ocean view rooms if possible (avoid resort view for now as they may overlook construction).
Awards: AAA Four Diamonds (2005-208); Top 0 Best Hotels in San Diego, U.S. News & World Report, 209; and many more.
Reservations:
Note: If your stay falls between now and October 209, please book into the Victorian building due to renovation work near the Ocean Towers. Or, ideally, consider Beach Village at The Del (details below).
f you’re considering a specialty suite at Hotel Del Coronado, take a look at Beach Village as pricing can be similar.
Beach Village at The Del
Neighborhood: Coronado
Kids’ club: Yes. Guests also use DelVentures at the sister property, Hotel Del Coronado.
Why go: You want the most luxurious beach vacation possible in San Diego. Only Beach Village guests can access the property’s pools and exclusive Windsor Beach Club. Plus, as the sister property to adjacent Hotel Del Coronado, you’d have access to the amenities like the spa, fitness center, classes, dining and more on the main resort listed above. Accommodations here are outfitted like designer residences.
Amenities for kids:
Everything listed above at Hotel Del Coronado
Amenities for parents:
Everything listed above at Hotel Del Coronado
Dining at the members-only Windsor Cottage
Access to the members-only Windsor Beach Club (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
Exclusive VIP shopping perks at Fashion Valley Mall
Complimentary Del Beach lounge chairs and umbrellas
Beach access: The beach is right in front of the hotel.
Good to know: Expect to pay over $999/night plus $35/night resort fee and tax for a double queen villa room, the entry-level accommodations. Larger families can fit into these accommodations as the double queen Coastal View and Ocean View Villa Rooms have two queen beds and a double sofa sleeper. The Windsor Beach Club is for guests and local residents with memberships. It can be crowded due to the latter.
Hotel Del Coronado is going through an exciting multi-stage renovation through 202. If you want to enjoy the main resort’s activities with the least possible risk of disruption, please stay at Beach Village between now and 202.
Reservations: The Virtuoso amenities you can book in with through us at Beach Village at The Del are the same as Hotel Del Coronado, and usually more advantageous than Hilton Honors rates if you will eat breakfast on the property. You’ll need to request a rate as Beach Village is unable to be booked online through Virtuoso.
La Jolla Shores Hotel
Neighborhood: La Jolla
Kids’ club: No
Why Go: You’d like to base the family in La Jolla (near UCSD) at a kid-friendly beachfront San Diego resort that won’t break the bank. La Jolla Shores beach here is one of the best places to learn how to surf, stand-up paddleboard, or kayak La Jolla’s rare 600-acre underwater ecological reserve. It is very easy to take the kids to the beach for an hour or two, break in the room, and return to the beach again in the afternoon. We staycationed at La Jolla Shores Hotel a few years ago and loved it but the rooms have all been refreshed since then.
Amenities for kids:
A flat, sandy beach right in front of the hotel
Kellogg Park playground is next door with swings, slides and a huge grassy area for picnics and games
Heated outdoor swimming pool and wading pool
Ping pong on the patio
Amenities for Parents:
Gorgeous ocean views from The Shores Restaurant and the famous Marine Room restaurant next door
Private beach BBQs and s’mores can be arranged
It’s an eco-friendly hotel
Tennis lessons on two courts by USPTA pros
Complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels
Nightly beach BBQs available by reservation (BYO food or order from their beach cookout shopping list for delivery)
Small fitness center
In-room massages
Complimentary shuttle within local La Jolla area (includes Birch Aquarium)
Beach access: A small boardwalk separates the hotel from the beach. Run back and forth from your room to the sand with ease.
Good to know: The swimming pool isn’t huge. It’s not a fancy hotel, and family-owned and operated, which means that things like sandy bare feet are okay when going from beach to room. They want families to feel comfortable here.
The awesome shops and restaurants on Avenida de la Playa are a short walk away including Piatti, the Cheese Shop, Surf Diva and more. As the name implies, this hotel is located in the La Jolla Shores neighborhood and not in the main village of La Jolla. It’s much quieter over here and the beach is miles better.

Awards: TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
Reservations:
La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club
Neighborhood: La Jolla Shores
Kids’ club: Seasonally in summers only
Why go: You’d like a unique San Diego experience with access to one of the state’s few remaining private beaches. Or, you’re traveling with a large family or extended family as they have accommodations for up to 8 people in a room. La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is an exclusive, members-only club with 99 accommodations, some of which are as close to the beach as you can get in San Diego. The experience is intimate and one that generations of families return for annually. It’s next door to the La Jolla Shores Hotel and the La Jolla Shores shops and restaurants are a short walk away.
Amenities for kids:
A private beach
Heated pool
Summer kids’ club
Kellogg Park playground just steps away
Junior golf and tennis programs
Swim lessons
Amenities for parents:
Food and drink service on the sand of the private beach
Complimentary beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas
Access to club facilities including the par-3 pitch-and-putt course and tennis courts
Yoga and personal training
Family beach cookouts
Most rooms have kitchens
Beach access: Beachfront and about as close to the beach as a hotel can get in San Diego.
Good to know: This property is incredibly popular for multigenerational trips. The buildings have an older appearance on the exterior but accommodations have been recently refreshed on the interior. It is considered a three-star property but does appeal to luxury travelers because of the private beach and intimate experience. They also have two-bedroom accommodations for larger families. The beachfront rooms and suites are so close to the beach that you will hear the ocean at night and the occasional BBQ smoke may waft into your room. Light sleepers may want to book rooms in the garden area.
Omni La Costa Resort & Spa
Neighborhood: La Costa (South Carlsbad)
Kids’ club: Yes. A nursery for kids ages 6 months–3 years old (two hours only) and ages 3 years and older (who are bathroom independent) may join for half-day, full-day, and evening programs that are year-round.
Why go:  Omni La Costa Resort & Spa provides a well-rounded San Diego family vacation spot because they do golf, spa, dining, and family activities each extremely well. LEGOLAND California Resort is just minutes away by car as is the beach.
Amenities for kids:
Kidtopia kid’s club, designed by an architect that specializes in theme parks and museums, offers supervised play for infants and toddlers in a nursery and separate programming for potty-trained kids ages 3 and up.
Splash Landing Pools with a water play area and water slides
Sandy Beach Family Pool with a sand play area
Vibz game lounge offering pay-per-play high-tech games and activities for ages 0 and up
A pretty awesome daily activity schedule that can include anything from reptile shows to s’more roasting
Sports courts
Amenities for parents:
Kidtopia has evening camp on Wednesday—Saturday evenings for date night on the resort
The adults-only Edge Pool
Lifestyle boutiques for golf, yoga and beach gear among other finds
Diversions sports lounge to catch a game, smoke a cigar or read the paper
Dining with views at VUE
Two world-renowned golf courses
A unique opportunity to address inner wellness at The Chopra Center
The Spa at La Costa’s awesome lounging facilities and nature-inspired treatments
One- or two-bedroom villas that blend vacation and home
Family suites have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room
Seasonal twilight golf
A huge variety of fitness classes on offer throughout the day
Beach access: Drive or take an Uber.
Good to know: It’s more of a four-star property. Many first floor rooms have French doors that open to a nice patio. Signature rooms and La Costa suites are closest to the family pool (location can be requested but not guaranteed). La Costa rooms are a further walk to the lobby and family pool. I have written a detailed guide to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa that addresses how to select a room and other important details. Food and drink service at the family pool is seasonal and the pools can close early during the off-peak season based on occupancy.
Awards: Golf Digest Editor’s Award (209), Condé Nast Traveler  –  5 Best Hotels in San Diego, 208
Reservations: We can add these benefits to Omni La Costa’s best available rate (not sale rates). Given this, check here first to see which rate works best for you. If you have decided on a room and would like the value-added benefits, please use this form.
Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, North San Diego
Neighborhood: Carlsbad
Kids’ club: No, but they do have a sizeable game room.
Why go: Most of the villas at Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, North San Diego have kitchens or kitchenettes, separate bedrooms, and living areas. They feel like home away from home and are excellent for extended stays in addition to large families. This Four Seasons here offers upscale touches present in sister properties around the globe and excellent service, which fans of the brand will appreciate. This another top pick for San Diego family hotels that earns a lot of repeat guests.
Amenities for kids:
Kids Club 760 with fun activities such as arts and crafts, ping pong, video games, and dive-in movies
Board games to check out and use in the villa
Child-sized bathrobes and slippers
Special bath amenities
Two swimming pools and a special children’s pool
Childproofing, high chairs and other amenities available upon request
Surf Concierge for ages 6 and up who want to shred waves
Amenities for parents:
A full-service spa and fitness center
Babysitting services
Seasons barista bar for gourmet coffee drinks and to-go items
Special dining experience like the chef’s table and kitchen counter where guests pull up a stool to interact with chefs to taste bites in the open kitchen
Spacious villas with full kitchens
Beach access: Drive or take an Uber.
Good to know: The Park Hyatt Aviara is next door so guests can enjoy dining there, too. As mentioned previously, Aviara is inland from the beach so a rental car is advised. I’ve only received positive feedback from guests at this hotel. It’s somewhat of a hidden gem but people love it. They now have a $25/night hotel fee that includes self-parking.
Reservations: Cadence is a Four Seasons Preferred Partner agency which means that we can book you in with additional value-added amenities and services. (I lived in a Four Seasons hotel, stay in them regularly, have written for Four Seasons Magazine, and can tell you in detail about nearly every property in their portfolio.)
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort
Neighborhood: Aviara (Carlsbad)
Kids’ Club: Yes. Camp Hyatt is seasonal, usually in the summertime. Hours and days vary so call to check.
Why go: You want to base the family in a secluded San Diego luxury resort in North County with exquisite service, excellent golf, and an award-winning spa. Suites and connecting rooms are reasonably-priced.
Amenities for kids:

Reasonably-priced suites
Beach access: Round-trip shuttle service to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas ($0 per person charge).
Good to know: This incredibly beautiful part of Carlsbad is inland of the I-5 freeway so you’ll need to drive to the beach. Park Hyatt Aviara usually has VERY reasonably-priced suites and can guarantee connecting rooms Read about our recent stay at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.
Awards: AAA Five Diamonds
Reservations: I have access to Virtuoso amenities at Park Hyatt Aviara.
*If on a mobile device, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Full Site” to access rates and booking. When searching rates on Virtuoso, do not input your children as it will price them as adults. Mention how many kids you’re traveling with (and ages) in the special requests section and I’ll add them when I double-check your reservation.
Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego
Neighborhood: Downtown San Diego
Kids’ club: Yes. Camp Hyatt is seasonal and has summer hours.
Why go: You want a downtown San Diego hotel with water views and don’t mind size. This hotel is huge with over 600 rooms spread over two towers. However, it’s located on the San Diego Bay and within walking distance to some of San Diego’s best restaurants, attractions, San Diego Convention Center and PETCO Park.
Amenities for kids:
Seasonal Camp Hyatt for kids ages 4–2 which offers arts and crafts, sea life education and more fun during the summer (check the schedule)
Seasonal rooftop cinema
Sports courts on the 4th floor include basketball, shuffleboard, volleyball, tennis, or even horseshoes
Main outdoor swimming pool
Seasonal outdoor activities such as foos ball, table tennis, giant-sized Jenga, kites, and a multitude of arts and crafts
Amenities for parents:
The extraordinary view from Top of the Hyatt restaurant
Four tennis courts by the bay with a USPTA pro available for lessons
The full-service Marilyn Monroe Spa
24-hour gym
Pool cabana rentals
Bayside running trails
Adults-only pool
Grab-and-go options including Starbucks, open 24 hours
Reasonably-priced suites
Club Lounge which can be added to any room for an additional fee
Beach access: You’ll need to drive or take a ferry to Coronado beaches. Or, drive to La Jolla. If you plan to spend a lot of time at the beach, downtown isn’t the best spot.
Good to know: Again, the hotel is large and a bit corporate, but it’s well-located and families love having so much to do within walking distance at this downtown San Diego hotel. I’ve written a detailed guide to Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego that goes over the various room types and more. Do not expect personalized five-star service and amenities as the hotel is simply too big. The Club Lounge can be busy.
Which Kid-Friendly Hotels in San Diego Would I Choose?
I have loved our stays at all the best family hotels in San Diego. It’s nice to take a staycation now and then, and we’re lucky to live in a city with so many wonderful accommodations to choose from.
So, the answer to the question above depends on factors like where in the city you want to stay, what you plan to do while visiting San Diego, how much you want to spend, and what kinds of amenities you prefer in a hotel.
As you can see above, some of the best kid-friendly hotels in San Diego are not near the beach, and a lot of the most popular tourist attractions in San Diego are scattered widely around the county.
In general, if your plan is to hit most of the city’s top attractions and go carless, look at hotels in the heart of downtown (or maybe even Coronado). If you want to stay right on the beach — and maybe learn to surf — without putting too much of a dent in your budget, then the La Jolla Shores is a wonderful choice (though it can get pricey during peak season). If you want a full-service resort on the beach, Hotel Del Coronado and Beach Village at The Del are hands-down the way to go.
Families looking for luxury accommodations should check out the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, which is one of the best hotels in San Diego and tops when it comes to family-friendly activities.
The hotels on this list that receive consistently rave reviews though, with fantastic behind-the-scenes service to match are:
Fairmont Grand Del Mar
Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara
Park Hyatt Aviara
Other Things to Consider When Choosing a San Diego Hotel
For all of its laid back character, San Diego is still a big, busy city. Hotel occupancy rates hover at around 75% throughout the year (because there’s no off-season in San Diego) and they can jump as high as 90% during the summer.
The months with the lowest hotel occupancy rates tend to be January, September, November, and December (outside of winter break), but even then, booking rooms in one of the best family hotels in San Diego can be tough. Your best bet is usually to book as early as possible.
Remember, we can give you access to exclusive VIP amenities at San Diego hotels where indicated on this list where you can enjoy extras like complimentary breakfasts, room upgrades, spa credits, and more at no extra cost to you.
Do you have a best family hotel in San Diego that’s missing from this list?

Two Ways: Green Velvet Jeans
I don’t often wear pants, but when I do, I want them to be special.  Basic black has its place, but what about an amazing pair of green velvet jeans to add to the rotation?  Here are two ways to wear this unique alternative to jeans.
J.Crew High-Rise Velvet Jeans ($110, 4 colors)
How great are these jeans?  Every time I look at them, I’m almost grateful fall is here.  Almost.  These jeans come in petite and tall sizes as well.
Let’s talk about styling.
Gorjana Kellen Studs ($20) // BR Supersoft V-neck Sweater ($78) // Everlane Day Market Tote ($170) // Boden Evie Flats ($119)
Business Casual.  For this outfit, I wanted a look that was casual and easy with pops of interest.  The green pants are certainly interesting, as are the leopard flats.  You could wear this to work on Friday or to a casual brunch on Sunday.  It would also be great on a plane if you needed to arrive looking fresh.
The sweater is from Banana Republic, and it is a great piece.  V-necks look great on almost everyone, and the hem dips slightly in the back for a flattering rear view.  The sweater is also a cotton-poly blend for softness, good for those with wool allergies.  BR has some fabulous basic sweaters this season (some are even machine washable); don’t miss out on the sale.
For the earrings, I chose a pair of studs with a little something extra.  I also like these Minkoff pyramid studs and these incredibly cool, not to be missed Baublebar huggie drops.  You can also add a long pendant necklace if you need a bit more sparkle.
The shoes are a great leopard flat from Boden that I’ve had my eye on for a while.  I love the preppy, modern look of them.  Need something without the buckle and strap?  Try Sam Edelman. If you’re looking for something similar for less, don’t miss these Steven slingbacks.
For the hair, I would probably jazz it up with a twisted chignon.  If not, I would buy one of these great round hair clips from Urban Outfitters, and do a slightly messy half-up/half-down.
Gorjana Sayulita Earrings ($35) // See by Chloe Lace Sleeve Tee ($159) // Milly Astor Ruffle Clutch ($120) // Addison Ankle Strap Shoe ($60)
Friday Night. I envisioned this outfit as the perfect choice for cocktails with friends.  You want to look good in case you run into someone, and because dressing up is fun, but you don’t want to overdo it.  A few fun pieces, but still a t-shirt in jeans.
I love these earrings.  They are impactful, but light enough that they don’t look heavy.  I’m just obsessed.  Want an even cheaper thrill?  These $20 tortoise chandelier earrings from Dillard’s are amazing.
This top is a t-shirt with a bell sleeve, and while bell sleeves are a bit last year, these lace ones make it more current.  Want a different option?  Try this awesome H&M lace blouse.  Plus-size?  This Worthington blouse is a nice piece.
For the accessories, I chose this fun clutch because I wanted something a bit different.  For a more modern look, try this suede and leather mix Ragna clutch or this $28 simple bar-clasp clutch.  And the shoes are a total Aquazurra knock-off, but they’re really chic.
I would wear a voluminous ponytail if you have longer hair.  For shorter hair, I would do a messy low bun.  For the makeup, I would bring in a deep berry lipstick.  I like a sheer stain like the Lipstick Queen Hello Sailor, but if you like more coverage, try this NYX suede lipstick.

New and Lost. || Violet & Open
I stand at the coffee cart, waiting for my order. I look over the map of the hospital on my tablet. Today I'm supposed to be speaking to a group, followed by a brunch meeting with Addison, who is apparently Chief here, and then somehow finish getting my office set up. "Violet?" The cashier calls out, placing a cup with my name in it on the counter. "That's me." I smile, grabbing it and thanking her. I take a quick sip before finding a seat close by. I could page Addison or Amelia for a tour, but why bother them?

Pretty Little Liars Review Season 7b Episode 2
Tumblr media
It’s finally here! The last half-season of PLL ever! I can’t wait to process all the ups, downs, zombie hallucinations, and body burying shenanigans with all my fellow PLL superfans.
First, let me introduce the new episode rating scale, starting at 1 (the least impressive) and going through 5 (the most impressive). Each number has been assigned a corresponding PLL moment.
PLL Episode Rating Scale:
1: (Very Bad) Charlotte’s Holographic, Tactile, Wall Street Investor Panel
2: (Bad and a Little Pathetic) Drunken Ezra Getting Thrown out of the Radley after one too many Pink Drinks
3: (Mildly Pleasant) A Pair of Shay Mitchell Sunnies
4: (Ooo So Good) Season One Instagram-Filtered Ezria Drama
Tumblr media
5: (WTF this show is Awesome) Aria Twisting a Doll Baby’s Head the Wrong Way
Episode Rating: 2
Thoughts:
1: Apparently the writers want us to forget that Spaleb ever happened.
Tumblr media
I know I was one of the few fans eager to toss out Haleb for this sexy five-years-forward twist, but the writers are proceeding as if this major plot point never happened. Shots of Hannah and Caleb waking up in bed together and Caleb’s oh-so-husky support of Hannah’s budding fashion career is not enough to erase Spaleb’s sex-brunches. Also, last time I checked, Hannah was apologizing for kissing Spencer’s boyfriend and lying that she was okay with their new relationship. Flash forward to 7b, and Hannah is the angriest with Spencer for playing AD’s whirring, meta board game. “I may have been the one driving the car that killed Rollins, but we are all in this together.” Really, Hannah? Really?
2: Emily v. Addison is Problematic In at Least Two Ways
Tumblr media
Falsely accusing lesbian and gay professionals of inappropriate behavior is a longtime tool of homophobes, and these accusations against Emily are no different. However, there is another aspect of this storyline that I find very troubling. Many, many times the young victims of sexual assault are doubted and dismissed by the adults around them. Yes, I know Addison made up these accusations, but this storyline affirms the idea that teenage students are quick to throw fake accusations against faculty. From my personal experience, and those of many I know, teachers (usually males in power) are often inappropriate and manipulative to young male and female students. What stops these students from speaking up? Fear that they will not be taken seriously. Honestly, I’m angry the PLL writers went this direction. It’s a lazy, problematic plotline that hurts Addison Derringer’s otherwise impressive performance. And let’s not forget the years Ezra Fitz manipulated Aria, using his position of power to date and stalk his student without any repercussions.
Phew… rant over.
3: Holden + Aria = Happy Face. Holden’s Advice about Ezria = Sad Face
Tumblr media
I’ve actually really enjoyed the return of the karate kid Holden. He is a fun foil for Aria’s flirtations with her murderous, alter ego. (She was definitely going to kill Nicole with that salt water taffy, right?) That being said, why oh why is he giving his former English teacher a pass? It’s almost like he’s feeding Aria exactly what she wants to hear. Every time her devotion to Ezra is wavering, he’s there to present some weighty/confusing metaphor about the time it takes diamonds to form. Come on, Holden - can’t you just take the place of Liam? (I miss his scathing takes on Ezra the Predator).
4: Is Paige a Supportive Ex, or a Crazy-Eyed Stalker?
Tumblr media
Paige is on her fifth or sixth personality in this show. In 7a, her earnest devotion and semi-aggressive PDA was enough to make me cringe. Now? In the tortuous Emily - Allison - Paige love triangle, she is the most level-headed. Next to Emily, Paige looks like a sane, professional Rosewood High faculty member with a firm understanding of what is and what is not appropriate. Is this sudden increase in confidence and capability because Paige has joined forces with A.D.? Or because she is A.D. herself?
5: Mona is Making Me Uneasy
Tumblr media
I love Mona, and I always will. I’m enjoying how hands-on she’s become with Hannah’s fashion career, but am I really supposed to believe Mona didn’t know Jenna was back in town before the rest of the girls? No. I refuse to accept it. Mona always knows what’s up before anyone else, but when Jenna showed up at the Brew in an almost-replica of Hannah’s lame black swan ballerina dress, she acted shocked. Sure, her sass with Hannah and the Jenna-thing was a blessed thing to behold, but I can’t help wondering if she knows more than she’s letting on.
6: Why is Spencer Boring Now?
Tumblr media
I don’t have much to say about this one. Spencer’s normal shenanigans have been downgraded to going to the *gulp* Rosewood police for help in finding her birth mother/vampire, Mary Drake. Spencer as Mary’s daughter was a fun twist, but I’m kind of over it. I want Spencer to get back to her sleuthing, manic self.
7: Hannah is Brutally Attacked by Sentient Shoes
Not only was this scene almost too dark (visibly) and bizarre to comprehend, it was also boring.
8: I Miss Young Caleb
Tumblr media
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Caleb was always a little too perfect for my taste, but this five-years-forward Caleb is a huge disappointment. His days are spent as follows: 1. Wake up sexy and shirtless next to one of the liars 2.Say something ridiculous about how amazing said partner is while assuring them that stealing a dress design is a good idea 3. Go out to lunch for fuel after a night of sexy sex 4.Threaten women with a throaty voice and 5.Grab blind women’s walking sticks. (There might be some light-to-no-hacking in there, but I can’t be sure). I’m over it. The only way this character will be redeemed in my eyes is if he is A.D or working for A.D., and I don’t think that’s going to happen.
The Best
Runner Up: Aria
For being terrible to that geeky reporter and comparing her stature to a normal-sized kitchen knife.
Winner: Paige
Yes, I’m as surprised as you, but thanks to Emily’s bullying of a fifteen-year-old student, she was quite refreshing.
The Worst
Runner Up: The Rosewood Police and Marco
Why isn’t the police force already searching for Mary Drake? Isn’t she the lead suspect in Spencer’s shooting? Also, negative 100 points to Marco for telling Spencer she sounded “fragile” on the phone.
Winner: Emily
Oh dear. This was nothing short of a trainwreck. If bullying a teen and showing obvious and constant PDA is indicative of Emily’s maturity level, she should not be parking in that faculty lot.
PLL Recommendations:
Want some companion guides for your PLL watching? Look no further than Bros Watch PLL Too. I actually look forward to their three-hour line-by-line review podcasts more than the show itself.

Can’t Go Back Part 21
A/N: Sorry this chapter took so long. I was having a really hard time writing this chapter. I don't know why but I did. It is done now though. This chapter contains SMUT. DNI IF UNDER 18. IF YOU INTERACT UNDER 18 YOU WILL BE BLOCKED. As always, feedback is appreciated and much love. -Em
I woke up half an hour early Friday morning. Monty groaned at the alarm. “Shh. It’s for me. Go back to sleep.” He grunted in response. I placed a soft kiss to the back of his neck and got out of bed. I picked up one of his shirts from the laundry basket that hadn’t made its way into a drawer yet. In the bathroom, I ran the shower while I brushed my teeth. In the shower, I washed my hair and exfoliated while my conditioner sat. After my face was washed, I set about the arduous task of shaving. There was some spectacularly ungraceful bending and balancing to make sure I hadn’t missed any spots. This is attractive. Bet he wishes he was awake to see this spectacle.
Once I was clean, I finished my skincare routine while my hair towel dried. I used a honey almond moisturizer that I knew Monty liked. I slipped his shirt on. His alarm went off while I was putting product in my hair. Surprisingly, he got up of his own accord. “Morning baby.” He mumbled from the other side of the door.
“Morning babe.”  Knowing his routine like the back of my hand by now, I vacated the bathroom to go make some breakfast. A bowl of apple oatmeal sounded delicious this morning. I poured a bowl of cereal for Monty. While he showered and coffee brewed, I read my newest book.
“Good morning Addison.” Monty smiled and kissed me when he came into the kitchen. His hair was still wet. It dripped on my arm and made me jump slightly.
“Good morning Monty.”
“You smell nice.” He placed another kiss on my head. I tilted my head up and back to kiss him again. I brought my arm up to wrap around his neck. His arm instinctively found its way to settle just below my chest. I held him in place as I deepened the kiss slightly.
Before it could go any further the coffee machine beeped. Monty pulled away. He rolled his eyes a little. I went back to my book like nothing happened, but not before I caught him adjusting his jeans. I smirked to myself. I might have to text the guys and tell them brunch is cancelled. “It’s supposed to rain today, so I don’t think you should go to school in just my shirt.”
“Well, that’s unfortunate. I was practically already ready to go.” I teased. He turned to look at me. His eyes had darkened a shade or two. I couldn’t be sure if it was from our kiss or my comment.
“And now you have to go put some fucking pants on.”
“Yes, sir.” I mock saluted. He chuckled as he poured us cups of coffee.
“That’s Daddy to you Doll.” He muttered as I walked back to our room. Again, I smirked to myself. Well at least the sex shouldn’t be as big a surprise. I picked up my phone off the nightstand and texted Scott, Charlie, and Justin. Brunch might be cancelled tomorrow. My parents need us to help move some furniture.
Charlie answered me first. You mean they need you to them move furniture. I smiled. As I was deciding on a pair of jeans, Justin texted me. I glanced down at my phone. Supervision duty. Fun. Let me know if something breaks.
Black skinny jeans or the navy with the cuffs?
Navy.
Thanks.
Scott answered a minute later. That’s all the updates I need or want. I tied a knot in front of the shirt, so I wasn’t swimming in it. My hair was beginning to dry by now, so I ran a comb through it quickly and scrunched it in an attempt to give it at least a little shape while it finished drying.
As I was walking out of our room, Justin texted me again. Oh. You don’t actually mean that. Have fun. Still let me know if something breaks.
I do. And I will. See you at school.
I didn’t bother waiting for a response and slipped my phone in my pocket. “Remember we are helping mum and dad with the stupid hutch tomorrow afternoon.”
“I know. If dad hasn’t said anything to either of us before school is done, I’ll text him.”
“Alright.” I stopped in front of Monty and twirled. “See, pants. Better?”
“Much. And watch that tone missy.”
“Okay.” I rolled my eyes. He blinked at me in surprise. I watched as he stepped towards me and leaned in.
“I have no issue being late for school. Feel free to keep this up Doll.” He grumbled.
“Sorry. I’ll be good.” I squeaked.
“Good.” He nodded. I jumped when he swatted my butt as he walked past me to turn on the news. He was right. It was supposed to rain today.
There was a sweater in my spot when I got to lunch. I picked it up and threw it over my bag as I sat down. Monty stopped talking and kissed the side of my head, before going back to arguing with Zach and Charlie about a play for tonight’s game. I tuned them out and turned to Justin. “Moving furniture?” He muttered to me.
“Yeah. Mum is sick of looking at that awful hutch coat rack thing.”
“How are you supposed to help with that?”
“Direct. Probably push it.”
“On the hardwood?”
“We are going to put cloths underneath. It’ll be good. Monty is going to supervise because of his knee. He’s thrilled.”
“He finally gets out of the heavy lifting?”
“Yup. All it took was breaking himself.”
“All.” We chuckled. “I want to know if it breaks. That thing really is awful. Call me if you need more help.”
“It is. I’ll definitely tell you.”
“Good.”
“Tell them I’m right Addison.” Zach said.
“About?”
“No, tell them I’m right.” Monty said.
“About?”
“The play is a stupid play.”
“No, it isn’t.”
“And we are asking the person who doesn’t do sports about sports because…?”
“Just agree.”
“And now I defer to Justin. Talk to your boys please.”
“Oh, so now they’re my boys?”
“Yes.” I nodded and pulled out my salad, effectively removing myself from the conversation. The sweater came in handy. It was absolutely pouring rain on my way to fourth period.
“They don’t need us until at least three tomorrow.” Monty said as I was getting my books from my locker.
“That’s great. I’ll tell the boys brunch is still on.” I picked up my bag and we made our way to the car. My plans for the evening were playing over in my head as we walked.
At home, Monty went to change while I threw a load of laundry in. I got started on some homework with the time we had to kill before making dinner. He squeezed my shoulder as he passed me at the island. I smiled at him briefly before going back to my notes. He grabbed a bag of fruit snacks and pulled out my laptop. I did note that he had already taken off his pants for no pants pizza. We worked quietly for a little while before my stomach started to grumble. Monty chuckled quietly. We turned to each other and grinned. “Dinner?”
“Yes, please.” I laughed. We stood up and took out ingredients. The hour or so we took to cook was so nice. There were stolen glances and stupid jokes passed between the two of us. We slowly moved closer to each other and bumped hips. Everything was so normal. It was amazing. I was elated to be back to how things used to be.
After we finished enjoying our pizzas, I got up to change and get ready for bed. I reapplied my lotion and grabbed my favourite white button up. The white button up. I left the top few buttons undone. Smoothing it out in the mirror, I made my way back to the couch. I sat down cross-legged next to Monty.
“That’s familiar.” He said as he looked up. I shrugged.
“It’s comfortable.”
“Okay.” He smiled. I leaned closer and he pulled me into his side. He shifted and stretched before putting his arm across the back of the couch, and my shoulders. Cliché but adorable. Neither of us commented on the light blue strappy bra I wore. Or the fact that I was wearing a matching set.
The two of us sat in comfortable silence for a while. The Cars That Made America was on. It was very interesting. Soon enough the first episode ended and the second began. Love that History does all three at once. I could feel Monty’s eyes on me. He tried to hide that he was looking, by sneaking quick glances. No matter how hard he tried not to, I knew he was staring down his shirt. My position against his side gave him a prefect view of my cleavage. I tried to hide a smirk as I spoke. “Yes?”
“Nothing.” He averted his gaze and tried to feign more interest in our show.
“Okay.” I adjusted my position again. I hadn’t noticed how aroused I was until I moved, and the cool air hit my core. I inhaled sharply.
“Are you okay Addison?”
“Yeah.” I looked up and caught him smirking.
“You sure about that?”
“Mhmm.”
“Alright.” I cuddled closer into his side. Tilting my head up slightly, I kissed his jaw softly. We were well into episode two by this point. He turned and kissed me on the forehead.
I sat up a little and kissed his cheek. He smiled to himself.
I took the opportunity to kiss the corner of his mouth.  Then I kissed him properly. He smiled more. I ran my tongue along his bottom lip. He allowed me entrance and eventually, pulled me into his lap. My hands rested at his shoulders. His wrapped around my waist and rested on my hips. He let me lead for a while. My hips ground on their own accord. Until his natural desire for control got the best of him and he broke. Our fight for dominance ended when he grabbed my his with one hand to still me. The other hand slid up my side and came to rest against my throat. I whimpered and tried to buck my hips. His hand squeezed my throat gently. A warning. I pulled away and huffed. He leaned in and nipped my lip. I stuck my tongue out at him. He quirked a brow. I looked down at him apologetically. He shook his head and smiled. I leaned in and kissed him again. He pulled away and started to kiss my neck. It was really soothing. I sighed slightly and adjusted my position. Monty nipped my neck. I whimpered.
His hand travelled back down my body and rested at my panty line. My breath caught as his fingers ran along the line. My hand travelled down his body and tugged at the bottom of his shirt. Monty pulled away and pulled his shirt off. I dragged my nails down his chest again and immediately my hand rested at the waistband of his boxers. He smirked at me. I looked at him with begging eyes. He nodded. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.” I said, confidently nodding.
“Okay.” He nodded again. I sat back in his lap and pulled his button up off. My hands went back to his waistband and pulled his boxers down a little. He picked me up and placed me on the couch so he could take them off. I jumped back into his lap after pulling my own underwear off.
There was no need to prepare either of us because of all the pent-up tension that had been building in the days and weeks leading up to this. I slowly sank down on his cock, gasping as it entered me. He groaned in my ear and threw his head back. I began to rock my hips back and forth and around in circles, trying to find the best angle and positioning. Once I found it, we both looked at each other with wide eyes. Perfect. He pulled my head towards his and kissed me deeply. “I love you.” He mumbled against my mouth.
“I love you too.” I found my rhythm and placed my hands on his shoulders to get better leverage and balance. Soon enough, I could tell the knot in my stomach was beginning to tighten. Montgomery’s grip on my hip tightened and I could tell his high was coming on fast. Probably a little faster than he would like, but I wasn’t going to complain.
A few minutes, or maybe a few more than a few minutes, I wasn’t counting, my walls tightened around his cock. He groaned. I leaned down and bit into his shoulder. Monty growled. I felt his cock spasm deep inside of me. I gingerly removed myself from his cock and rested in his lap. We both slumped against each other, breathing heavily. Eventually, we both stood and moved to our bedroom. There were a few more rounds. We woke up the next morning groggy, sore, and sated.

Dining trends in Sydney
The ever-growing culinary scene in Sydney is one of the most rarely matched attractions about the city. Filled with fun and adventure, most of the restaurants in Sydney have laid their foundation on being maverick and bringing surprises to their guests. And over the years, the changing lifestyle and philosophies among the people in Sydney have helped this trend to grow. From commonplace buffets and banquets to extravagant dinner cruises in Sydney, options are wide and plentiful for anyone visiting Sydney. But at the end of the day, it is an inventive and out-of-the-box menu that always wins hearts.
Sometimes it could be just that one item on the menu that caught the city by the storm or sometimes an entire menu that elegantly combined drama and innovation on every plate of food served. However it be, innovation has been their game. For example, a degustation menu served onboard a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise. Whilst being a welcoming opportunity to enjoy each of the chef’s signature dishes on the menu, the  premium harbour cruises of Sydney also bestows the guest with scintillating views of Sydney Harbour under a starlit sky.
Now, for all the street food enthusiasts out there, Sydney has a few places one can head to for satisfying the wildest of gastronomic urges. A foodie’s paradise—the street food market at Addison Road—on every first and third Saturday of the month the market turns vibrant on celebrating the culinary cultures of Australia and it is undoubtedly a must-visit place in Sydney if you’re a foodie. Similarly, get to know the best of Sydney’s flavours also at other street food places in Sydney such as the Bondi Farmers Markets, Chinatown Night Market, and Paddy’s Night Food Markets.
While discussing the food scenes in Sydney, one can never omit the high-end restaurants that specialise in fine dining. A luxury banquet dinner at a tranquil rooftop restaurant or a 5-course meal at a waterfront cafe, is sure to enthrall you with their delectable food as well as the irresistible views of the Sydney Harbour skyline.
Another widespread trend in Sydney is brunching. There are many restaurants in and around Sydney which open just in time for a perfect brunch. A true sign of changing lifestyle, a majority of people in the city have already accepted this new trend. Essentially imaginative, the brunching community in Sydney has encouraged the restaurateurs in Sydney to be creative and have opened their gates wider to accommodate new & unique gastronomic trends. In Sydney, the takers for Panasian food have gone up in the past decade and it wouldn’t be odd to say that the practice of brunching has steered this drift.
A Sydney-centric exploration into its culinary trends will also reveal some exciting dishes that rose to international fame. From the saucy Barbecue snags, yummy Lamingtons, soft-crusted Pavlovas to the humble vegemite and toast, there’s a plethora of choices of must-try foods for rounding up your first-time visits to Sydney. Also, here’s an honorary mention for those with a sweet tooth: Strawberry Watermelon Cake from the Black Star Pastry shop!
