Betas tasks depend on the person asking for a Beta.

Some participants appreciate SPAG (Spelling and Grammar) correction, but most hope their Beta finds obvious typos and points out if there is a lack of coherence. For instance if it is unclear in a Fanfiction whether Person A or B is talking, the Beta would point that out to the writer. Betas may also help during decision making when a participant isn’t sure whether to make their gift go into one or the other direction.

Pinch-Hitters are the hidden heroes of exchanges. They create gifts for giftees whose matched participants dropped out.

You can write treats or become a Beta or Pinch-Hitter without being a signed-up participant. 💙🧡
