Yulian (Adam), Eve, and Reader are the three main subjects of a project called 'Project Eden' led by 3 exceptional scientists.

About this Alpha-Beta in a nutshell: Take Alpha as the original good while Beta is just a replica of Alpha, most Beta's appearance is strongly based on their Alpha's.

Yulian and Eve don't have that much of a history since the childhood timeline is supposed to be Adam and Eve. Due to one thing and another, Eve is set to fall in love with Adam no matter what the condition is but Adam's setting is still unknown. Eve and 'Reader' had a rather bad history because, in a nutshell (w/o spoiler because I'm delusional that one day I will write something for this), 'Reader' was married to Yulian (who is literally Adam's copy-paste) when Eve is set to love Adam no matter what the condition is? Oooh, sounds like Eve is about to push Reader down the stairs to death and make Yulian trials Eve for this first-degree murder ^^

A-01 is 'Reader's' Beta (Well, she might not actually take Reader's appearance since this Y/N based lol). A-01 only has one goal in her life and that is to pay back tenfold of what 'Reader' had done to her. A-01 reconciled with herself and accepted that Reader is Reader and not 'Reader' tho (yayyy).

A-01 doesn't have a name as she is only named after codes by the scientist. But here are some of the names she used: Aoi, Seong-Min, (spoiler), Acquillina (Counterpart Appearance), and so on. The rest are not so important as the most important is the name she used in the main story. It's confusing! It's a story I modified from all the stories I've had in mind since I was a middle schooler, you get the drill! A story that lacks any interesting shits! There is a lot of modification for everyone but they still stay true to their original lore, only a few additions and reductions!

Here is a treat for burdening your brain in trying to read everything.

A-01:

Alright, pretty little anon. Oh, I'm sure your brain couldn't contain this disastrous literary of a 13-year-old but your interest flatters me. I am considered as one of the 4 important protagonists to each respective story. Back then, I was written in a story that is so dumb that you will cough out blood from just reading the prologue, shameless! (Shakes Head) But now, I am given a new role and that is to take the role of an antagonist in the story of, urgh, 'lovebirds'.

I'm sure you will love every moment of my appearance, after all, I take the 'Mommy' role very seriously, child of man, you people never fail to fascinate me with such names.

In short, I am here to hunt down the protagonist, or should I say, 'Reader'. Let's just say I hold an immaculate grudge toward 'Reader', so much that I just want to rip apart their skull open and devastate their little husband.

Name? I can't tell you that. But in a much more light-hearted setting, I am often called Aoi, adorable no? Oh, and should you ever wander too far in this 'library' for just a speck of my information, I'd suggest you give up. The Master of the Theatre and Master of the Archive are not kind enough to write an encyclopedia of me so just send me a letter and I'll be kind enough to spare you some of my time to have a chat with you.

Yeah. It’s a bit of an interesting part of his character when you stand back and try to unravel it. But hitting women is a quick way to turn a character unlikeable.

Before getting into this series, I was not expecting well… any of this. I was genuinely believing it was going to be the same as other masculine media that seeks to uphold that very masculinity in very off putting ways. The kind where every guy is obnoxiously straight. Really took me by surprise to see Kiryu who’s crazy about toy cars, Yokoyama depicts him as a virgin, he lacks social skills (me too, king) and he’s still really cool. Majima is uh, everything about him. Ichiban needs no explanation. And Shinada is a sexual character who sometimes says something kind of perverted, yet hes got a lot of depth, a real golden retriever attitude, and has a lot of kind things to say about sex workers. Normally, I can’t stand the lovable pervert trope, but Shinada feels so different from that. I could stand here all month talking about just the surprising characters. The homoerotic subtext is something else 😭

I suppose I’ll be looking forward to the potential ask lmao. But it’s crazy how personally Mine took the stuff that happened when he went out with Daigo. Oh boy, I’ve made a few jokes about Nick and Daigo, but I’m wondering what you’ll have to say about them.

Wooooow. I noticed the pretty boy features, but didn’t know there were that many. The Dead Souls one sticks out to me a lot. Starting to really wonder if Yokoyama has a subconscious thing for GNC men. Do you have a picture of that man, btw?

I remember making a joke about Hayashi (while we were looking at the original Ishin) being a fruit to my friend and cousin which mortified them because it’s Hayashi. When I learned they switched it to Awano I was shell shocked and still kind of am💀

Baba and Zhao in that role really says a lot of course. Especially given how they already are in their own respective games. There’s some questionable behavior like Zhao’s excitement to see Ichiban nude if you choose that along with implying he’d want to get naked with him. A lot of things really, but there’s also an odd line from Baba and Zhao (although in his case it was being said about him) using the same word: horete. I only recently learned what that word can mean, and I’m still really curious about it and the scenes themselves. Seong-hui telling Ichiban that at the last minute just made me wonder “Why???” Baba though…

Japan liking 5 a lot makes sense. I remember seeing a popularity poll from around that time. The placements were pretty shocking.

Me neither! But I think that's one of the reasons I ended up giving the series a chance, because I'd read an article about how the series subverts traditional masculinity and that was one of the first things to get me interested.

I think before that I'd expressed that I was adamant about not getting into it, but I honestly have no memory of that, I just take my friend's word for it lol. Of course, there are also ways the series upholds traditional masculinity, but the characters are overall super refreshing.

With Shinada and Ichi, I especially love how those themes started to be explored in Y5 and were followed up in Y7 with Yokoyama having more to say and a better grasp on what he wanted to say. Of course, all of the protagonists (and even some other characters) have influenced Ichi's character in some way, but I was a fan of how big of a piece of the pie Shinada seems to have since we have yet to see him since.

And yeah! I don't think there's too much to conclusively say about Nick and Daigo, it's all the implication, but it's fun to connect the dots. Because I generally feel like the Champion District is a mix of Golden Gai and "Nicho," Shinjuku's hub of gay subculture.

At least that's the impression I get from the cluster of Bars Of A Certain Variety in the Champion District; I feel like if you're a regular there despite it being a "bad neighborhood," that probably says something about you. And of course Nick frequents Earth Angel, but Mine and Daigo's favorite bar is also located in the Champion District.

Well, of course some of Yokoyama's comments raise eyebrows, but in complete fairness he had basically nothing to do with the development of Dead Souls and I don't want to speculate too much. I'm a little split on DD as a character, but I'm trying to keep this "short" since I have a stream to get to, so here's DD and his actor Peter/Shinnosuke Ikehata (honestly slay):

Arguabiy Hayashi's always been like that too haha, but he and Awano definitely were Choices. Someone has to play Takeda though, right? I think all three make for entertaining villains at the very least, so they fit well in that regard.

Baba I honestly don't remember too well (though I remember him fondly!), because I missed Saejima's part in my friend's playthrough of Y5R when it came out and haven't gotten there myself, but of course when you have a bond like that it's noteworthy.

Zhao, on the other hand, I kind of honed in on him immediately even when Y7 was only out in Japanese, for sure. Since Ichi is pretty much canonically into men their interactions were a lot of fun to watch. Seong-hui does a fair amount of hinting, not just with Zhao but also the Florence Nightingale comparison with Nanba, right? But I think it's natural, because queer people somehow just find each other.

The usage of horeru I generally don't put too much stock into, at least by itself, though. I'd need to go back over the scenes to be sure, but usually when it means something, there are other clear indicators or it's worded in a really intense way.

Because I did go and compile a number of usages of the word by itself when KHHSubs found my post, and more often than not it wasn't romantic or anything by itself, and in some cases it would've been kind of alarming if it were. So a huge point in my updated post ended up being that it's never just the word by itself for Mine.

İzlediğim en eski kore dizisi olan bu muhteşem kötü diziyi sadece ve sadece Descendants of the sun izledikten sonra Song Joong-Ki merakımdan izledim. İzlemeyin, kimseye de bu kötülüğü yapıp izletmeyin derim. Bir de uzun uzun yazmış çekmişler, 20 bölüm. Çıktığı yıl düşünüldüğünde, belki o dönemin beğenilen dizilerinden biri olabilir. Ödül bile almış olduğunu düşünürsek, birileri beğenmiş belli ki. Ben zaman aşımından sonra izlediğimden olacak ki, güzide Türk dizilerimizi asla aratmadı. Keza bizde bu diziyi çalış Türk versiyonunu çekmişiz.

Ufaktan konusunu anlatayım, adet yerini bulsun. Kang Maru (Song Joong-Ki) dizide geçen “nice guy”’dır. Evladım tıp okumuş asistan doktorluk yapıyor. Mezun olmasına 1-2 senesi kalmış. Gerçekten dizideki tek “nice” şey bu karakterdi. Onu da o kadar “nice” yapmışlar ki, artık iyi olmaktan çıkmış, saf olmuş, aptal olmuş, fantezi olmuş. Neyse Kang Maru’nun lanet olasıca bir çocukluk arkadaşı var. Küçüklüğünden beri gözünü para hırsı bürümüş fakir bir köylü kurnazı, Jee Hee (Park Si-Yeon). Bu hanımefendi, yaşına başına bakmadan bir haltlar karıştırıyor. Gecenin bir yarısı Kang Maru’yu arıyor. Gel diyor beni kurtar. Bizim saf da, hastalıktan yerde kıvranan kardeşini orada bırakıp koşa koşa Jee Hee ye gidiyor. Şeytanın vücut bulmuş hali Jee Hee, bir otel odasında süsten püsten suratı görünmez halde, yerde de kendinden yaşça b��yük bir adam ölü yatıyor. Ne oldu ne bitti derken bizim muhteşem iyi yürekli doktor adayımız “sen şimdi kaç ben yaptım derim” demesin mi!!!

Yemin ediyorum anlatırken gerildim. Kız kaçıyor, adam hapse giriyor. “Nice guy”’ımız hapisteyken bu sevimsiz kız bir kere bile ziyarete gelmemesinin yanı sıra, babası yaşında zengin bir adamla evleniyor. Evlendiği adamın bizim şeytanın yaşlarında bir kızı var. Üzerinden iyilik akan başrolümüz, iyi halden hapisten çıkıp evine dönmek için uçağa bindiğinde, uçakta kriz geçiren bir kızcağıza denk geliyor. Uçakta doktora en yakın kişi kendisi olduğu için yardım etmeye karar veriyor. Kızı tedavi edeceği sırada fark ediyoruz ki, hasta olan yolcu Jee Hee’nin evlendiği adamın kızı Eun Gi (Moon Chae-Won).

Dizinin konusu bile konu gibi olmadığından anlat anlat bitiremedim. İşte bu iki karakter uçakta karşılaşmalarından sonrasında, Kang Maru intikam almak istiyor. Dizi bu aşamada intikam konusunu temel alarak, üstüne koya koya entrika ağları ile ilerliyor. Mantık yok, heyecan yok. Aşk desen asla izleyici inandıran bir sevgi bile yok. Kang Maru’nun kardeşine olan sevgisi bile inandırıcı değil, öyle söyleyeyim. Sonuna kadar o kadar zor izledim ki, kelimelerim de tükendi bende tükendim.

Song Joong-Ki oyunculuk anlamında elinden geleni yapmış, hakkını yemeyeyim. Böyle bir senaryoya fazlaydı. Moon Chae-Won ise sanırım çirkin şansından joong-ki ile oynama şerefine nail olmuş. Şeytan kadın ise bundan sonra başka dizide rol alamamış olabilir. Emin değilim. Dizi boyunca sürekli kötülük, entrika izliyoruz. Yeşilçam filmlerini aratmayan hafıza kayıpları izliyoruz. Kötünün neden kötü olduğunu anlamadan, açıklamadan izliyoruz. Adamın intikam hırsını izlerken bir anda “ben sana aşığım, gel benimle ol” buhranını izliyoruz. Sonra “ben diğerine aşık oldum” kararsızlığını izliyoruz. İzliyoruz da izliyoruz…

Starlight is one of my favorite projects I’ve ever worked on. probably second to reflections and closely followed by Seong and Adam’s dynamic in the original sv (nope I will never ever be over them ever. he was everything she never was to him and By God HE KNEW IT) but the aesthetics are All Over The Place. The plot is actually cohesive (if I trim some shit down) which is rare for me now. Let’s start with our main character, now named Indy

this name choice is still… idk. I’m torn between Indy and Robin… but I used to have a character named Robin so I’m not sure. though I feel like Robin is an objectively better name (coming from the bitch who names half of her characters after birds though) but I like Indy a lot in the sense of the story overall.

bc her original name was Azure (which is fine but I hate it… debating keeping it) but she was nicknamed Spade because of a spade-shaped birthmark on her shoulder.  Keeping with the blue theme, I think her full name should be Indigo but she goes by Indy, and her husband (who is so goated we get to him later though) nicknames her Ace because of her birthmark.

The world of Starlight has an actual magic system. Crazy stuff! I created a decent magic system that doesn’t involve stupid blood rituals and “just because this character is this character xyz can happen.” (coughcoughRONNIEcoughcough) It goes a little something like this

Humans can be one of three things- cursed, charmed, or neither. Curses and charms are extremely similar, and they’re fairly common. I’d say 50% of the population has one of the two, with 75% of that 50% being “charmed.” Charms and curses are magical powers that a person can be born with at random. They’re often an omen for the personality of the charm/curse-holder, kind of like a zodiac. The only real difference is that curses physically harm the user when used. 

There are four levels of charms/curses. 

Level 1- Basically party tricks. They barely drain any energy from the user and can’t be used to cause major harm. Elio’s charm “light” falls under this category

Level 2- Majority of curses/charms are level 2. They take quite a bit of energy to perform, and they could do some potential damage. Can be very useful if harbored correctly. Archie’s charm “flora,” and Mari’s curse “ink” both fall under this category. 

Level 3- Very risky and hazardous to use. Or ridiculously OP in the opposite direction. They drain enough energy from the user to knock them out for a few hours. Thorn’s curse “flame” and Rose’s charm “heal” fall under this category. 

Level 4- By far the rarest type of curse/charm. This can change the trajectory of lives, and they can only be used a handful of times throughout the holder’s lifetime. Using it only once will sometimes cause death. Indy’s charm “starlight” and Hope’s charm “amore” fall under this category. 

Charms and curses are signified by colored eyes. For example, Elio’s eyes are golden, Thorn’s are red, Hope’s are pink, etc. They’re not insanely noticeable. Just like… tinted. 

Indy lives on an unnamed continent separate from anything else I’ve written. Their stories are kind of like folklore in the grand Lore universe. It’s separated into three currently unnamed parts- the north, which has a culture similar to Western Europe (France, Italy, Germany, etc.) and the south, which has lots of South and Latin-American influences, mainly Mexican. To the East is another kingdom full of mountains based on Northern Africa and Southeast Asian countries like Nepal and Libya. Indy is from a town near the border of the north and south regions, where the overall culture is similar to the 1980’s in style, trends, etc. Except racism and homophobia aren’t really a thing I feel like I get pretty deep into that in Dalseum already. 

Indy Simon, whose family is mainly from the northern region, is dating her girlfriend Marigold Martinez, aka Mari, whose family is mainly from the southern region. They’re probably around 14-15 years old. Little baby high school sapphics. They get along really well. They love each other as much as two fifteen year olds can. They go on adventures through the woods and such. Average girlfriend things. 

Until Indy accidentally activates her charm in a dream/vision-type-thing. Her charm physically shifts the position of the stars, which is essentially time travel because the rest of the earth shifts along with it. She sees her death at the hands of Marigold, shot in the heart on a balcony.

But young Indy is quite observant and crafty. She notices the patch on the chest of Mari’s coat is the seal of the southern region, and she notices the woman beside her corpse— her mother— is wearing one with the northern region’s seal. She overhears someone by Mari say “if the war wasn’t over, it’s sure as hell over now”

She wakes up in pure panic because WHAT THE FUCK?? WHAT THE FUCK 

and what does she do next?? I know. But you don’t. I need to sleep. Tune in next time ig

Dağarcığımıza bambaşka isimlerin eklendiği bir dizi izledim. Bu dizi yemek tasarımcıları ve oyuncularla ciddi bir iş birliği içinde çekildiği için gerçekçi yemeklerin hazırlandığı nadir dizilerden biri olarak anılıyor. Dizi setinde ise bütün yemek sahneleri için özel bir şef yemekleri hazırlamış. Yani demem o ki aç karnına izlemesi çok zor bir diziydi. Yemekleri özel şefin hazırlamasının yanı sıra mutfak ile iletişime geçen bütün oyuncular şef gözetiminde eğitim almışlar. Bu durumda diziyi izleyici açısından daha da çekici kılıyor.

Seo Poong  (Lee Joon-Ho) lüks bir otelde şef olarak çalışan genç bir adamdır. Çok yetenekli ve hırslı olan bu genç adam baş şef olmak için çok çalışmaktadır. Diğer yandan uzun süredir beraber olduğu kız arkadaşı ile evlilik hazırlığı içerisindedir. Farklı nedenlerden aynı durum için bir kuaförde Dan Sae-Woo (Jung Ryeo-Won) ile karşılaşırlar. Dan Sae-Woo zengin bir ailenin tek kızıdır. Herkes şimdiye kadar üzerine titremiş, ayrıcalıklı bir hayat yaşamıştır. O da uzun süreli erkek arkadaşı ile evlilik planı yapmakta ve kuaföre düğün provası için gelmiştir. Her zaman neşeli, enerjisi yüksek bir kızdır.

Hikaye bu noktada tepetaklak olur. Seo Poong kuyusunu kazanlar yüzünden otel ile ters düşer ve baş şef tarafından kovulur. Daha yeni evlenen bu yetenekli şefi karısı da terk eder. Bir anda hem işsiz hem eşsiz kalır. Büyük bir hırs yaparak otelin tam karşısındaki Çin lokantasına şef olarak baş vurur. Planı ise bu küçük lokantayı o kadar büyük ve meşhur bir hale getirecektir ki otele yemek yemeğe kimse gitmeyecektir.  Dan Sae-Woo ise düğün gününde babasının battığını öğrenir, babasının battığını öğrenen damat ise ortadan kaybolur ve kızımız evlenemeden müstakbel kocasını kaybeder. O da hem parasız hem de kocasız kalmış olur. Hanım kızımızın tek derdi ise kendi ayakları üzerinde durmak, ailesine destek olmak için para kazanmaktır. O da bu Çin lokantasına iş baş vurusunda bulunur.

Ve lokantanın sahibi, Doo Chil-Seong (Jang Hyuk); 5 yıl hapis yattıktan sonra Çin lokantası işleterek tefecilik yapan bir gangsterdir. Aslında amacı yanındaki adamların artık düzgün bir hayat yaşamalarını istemesidir. Ne yazık ki adamlar yemek yapmaktan anlamadıkları için sinek avlayan bir işletmeden öteye gidememişler. Tam üzerine gelen ünlü şefimize adamlarına yemek yapmayı öğretirse orada çalışabileceğini söyler. Chil-Seong’un ilk görüşte etkilendiği Sae-Woo ise oraya iş baş vurusunda bulununca hem karakterlerimiz bir araya gelmiş olur hem de aşk üçgenimizin kenarları tamamlanır. Aslında sıradan ama çok sempatik bir aşk üçgeni izledik. Hiç bu kadar tatlı bir aşk üçgeni izlememiştim.

Sert gangster kabuğu içinde yatan mahalle abisi rolü ile Jang Hyuk’u çok beğendim. Dizi mükemmel değildi ama güzeldi. Hiç yormadı, sıkmadı, konuları sündürmedi. Romantik, komik, sıcak bir diziydi. Başroldeki Lee Joon-Ho bu diziden sonra almış yürümüş diye okudum. Zaten son dizileri ile herkes izlemese de aşinadır kendisine. Bizim evimize de bu dizi ile giriş yaptı. Sonra devamı da geldi. Hanım kızımız Jung Ryeo-Won ise yine ilk kez bu dizide gördüğüm bir oyuncuydu. Oldukça naif bir havası olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Hiç rahatsız etmedi, hiç demedim keşke burada şu oynasaymış diye. Üçü de birbirine çok yakışmıştı.

Dizide aklımda kalan bir sahne var. Nedense beni çok etkiledi. Sae-Woo bir sahnede şefimize öneride bulunuyor. O anda çok üzgün, çok mutlu ya da çok kararsız olan müşteriler için menüye “ne olursa” ya da “herhangi bir şey” (뭐든지) gibi bir anlamı olan yemek koyalım, o günün en taze malzemeleri ile kararı şefe bıraktıkları bir tercih olsun diyor. Hem müşterinin şefe güvenini gösteren hem de şefin o güvene layık olduğunu kanıtlayan bir seçenek olacağını söylüyor. Bu fikre bayıldım. Burada böyle bir yer olsa hemen bugün giderim. Çok büyük ihtimalle de müdavimi olurum diye düşünüyorum. Fikir aşırı hoşuma gitti.

Yemeklerin ve karakterlerin hikayelere katkı sağladığı, ağzınızı sulandıran bir dizi olmuş. Ben açıkçası hiç strese girmeden son derece keyifle izledim. Tabi ki ilk 5ime 10uma girmez ama 8 puanlık kesime girdi. Tavsiye ederim.

BREAKING NEWS March 13th Body Found written by Michelle Morton

As the Blackout continues to drag on within the City, a horrendous discovery has been discovered. A body was found at the Royal Gardens in the Midtown District of the City. 

Ava Coleman, the medical examiner, has yet to determine a cause of death. While it is not official, authorities suspect foul play as the victim’s wallet was stolen. Detective Adam Seong believes that the victim also carried something else that was stolen. 

The victim, currently referred to as John Doe, appears to be a young man between the ages of twenty three and twenty eight. He has a scar across his cheek that runs down the right side of his face. If you or someone else knows who this person is, please speak with the police as soon as possible. 

Many are impatiently waiting and hoping for the end of the bewildering blackout. With the finding of this body, many are also beginning to fear for their safety.
