Odd question, but if Ada existed in the films, who do you think could play her? I'm curious 💜

My goodness, I'm so sorry I'm late in answering this, I only just saw it.

I don't find this an odd question at all! I have a couple of face claims for her, my two favorites being Deborah Ann Woll, or for a more authentic English feel, Charlotte Spencer

They would both have been around the right age at the time. The shape of Charlotte's face is exactly how I imagine Ada's, and she also has the same eye color as Ada when she was human. Deb seems more likely though, given that it would have just been easier to cast an American actress. Deb didn't occur to me until fairly recently, Charlotte was my original face-claim, but I was trying to look for a visual representation of Ada's exact hair color and that picture of Deb came closest. I never watched True Blood; I know Deb as Karen Page in The Punisher, where she sports her natural blond, so it hadn't even occurred to me that with that kind of shiny-new-penny hair color (which is exactly what Ada's hair is supposed to be - like, almost a rose gold type deal) she'd be a dead ringer for her.

I connect with this scenario because my OC Ada had the power of remote viewing but she can only see people knows. So she could see all of her family as if she were in the room with them. Her father was a parson and she listened to every one of his Sunday sermons until the day he died.

i wonder if Rosalie Hale ever found out what happened to her two younger brothers. i wonder if she ever looked them up and visited them in secret. i wonder if she eavesdropped on her brothers & their wives & her parents chitchatting on the porch. i wonder if she pretended to respond to their conversation like she was still part of their world. i wonder if she watched her little blond nieces and nephews playing in the front yard. i wonder if she pictured her own little children playing tag or hopscotch with their cousins on sunny afternoons. i wonder if that was when she mourned the family she lost instead of the family she would never have. i wonder if the first time she ever saw her family again was the last time she ever saw her family again.

When I graduated with degree a few years ago I honestly thought it would be all downhill and things would just move slowly without any excitement or milestones. Well, last year and this year have completely proved me wrong. This year alone, my grandpa passed away and I dealt with some bad family drama after that, I went to New York with my best friend, I turned thirty, I got a yellow lab, I made it to the one year mark at my editorial job, I’m getting ready for two major trips in the late summer/fall, and i also think i had a major glow up and never looked hotter. However, it hasn’t been a big writing year after last year was *so* good. Maybe writing about my last stuff will help with that!

In no order:

1. The Sweetest Sorrow

Rdr2, Arthur and Charlotte. This is *probably* my best fic overall if we’re just going by what internet experts say “good writing is.” Plot doesn’t meander much, development is solid, I think the characters make sense for their time period, and I just think it’s neat. The setting of the story also made me appreciate the hill country area near my hometown too. I also love that I didn’t overly rely on love scenes for the main relationship. Which I still love, but the older I get the more I recognize some stories don’t have that “vibe” that call for overly explicit love scenes, and this was one of them.

2. In waking dreams

DAI, Cullen and quiz.

I find this to be less of a story and more of an exploration of my life immediately after getting my undergrad and not knowing what the flaming hell I was going to do, and then an exploration of my life as I was finishing getting my graduate degree and *trying and failing* to secure a teaching job. Writing quality is certainly better in the back half, and I would kind of love to try rewriting this to see what I would do different, (I can think of several things) but as it is I am very proud of this.

3. Our immortal Longings

Wasn’t going to include this, I don’t think the game aged well, and I honestly wonder if it was even good to begin with (graphics still are great though, and I do appreciate how many choices there are) but someone commented recently on it and it made me revisit the fic, and I have to admit this is a solid story and I really appreciate how batshit crazy I was for the actress and robot pairing. The world needs more robot love stories.

This fic just felt different to write. Not in a bad way, but in the way that really made me think I was transforming as a creative.

4. Let’s get away for a while

Leon and Ada, resident evil.

So I have a few Aeon fics but I am plugging this as my favorite—I like the fact that I did not shy away from making Leon a bit of a dick at the beginning. I mean I don’t blame him he’s tired of this thing between him and his woman being a situationship. Man is built for commitment.

In all seriousness I wrote this and felt myself level up. I also just love writing about what people do when they’re on vacation/ traveling, something that soon after became very near and dear to me, as well as relevant to my life experiences.

5. Stains of Red

So this is a cute little one shot about Lydia basking in the “oh my god we just got together!” Glow and sneaking in some kisses with her commander. I like the imagery and details of this fic, and I think it captures that honeymoon excitement. I reread it and I actually blushed.

His failure left him searching for ways to end his life when he met Dazai, who offered him the means to do so. But he realised he couldn’t leave Katai, his only and best friend so he declined. Soon after he stumbled upon Fukuzawa, who showed him that there was a more human way.

Nobody knows whether it was his father or his mother who was a ghoul. He shows very few ghoul traits, blending in almost seamlessly as a human. He can go an oddly long time without eating but usually eats whenever his colleagues at Uzumaki do, as he has no qualms about taking Human life. When Fukuzawa found him and his sister in an alley he assumed he was a human but saw that Naomi was a ghoul and, feeling badly for the young boy, tried to scare off Naomi so Junichirou wouldn’t be eaten. Overreacting to a threat towards his sister, Junichirou displayed his full power. Since then he’s never fought. He’s very calm, even shy, and hardly ever shows his ghoul traits, even when in extreme emotional distress. The only time he “ghouls out” is when Naomi is in danger.

Naomi Tanizaki

Ward: 20 (Former Unknown)

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Species: Half-Ghoul

Occupation: Uzumaki Waiter (She can control herself very well but she acts dramatic and too ghoul-like to be allowed in a public setting without careful supervision. She has binge eating tendencies with Junichirou has only curbed by reminding her that her causing attention would put him, her precious Onii-sama, in danger)

Specialises In: Strategic thinking, manipulation, deception, stealth, and seduction.

Naomi doesn’t see humans as lesser than ghouls in anything but physical characteristics. She says “I’d gladly befriend some if they weren’t oh so tasty~! I think that if I got close I could hardly resist eeeee!”

Miyazawa Kenji

Ward: 20

Gender: Male 

Age: 14

Species: Ghoul

Occupation: Student (helps out with the local farmers market after school and on the weekends)

Kagune Type: Rinkaku

Specialises In: staying positive, making friends, strength and brute force

Kenji knows that Ghouls are biologically different from humans but doesn't see many other differences. Fukuzawa tries to keep things especially subtle for Kenji. Giving him “beef” to eat without telling him what it is because Kenji loves everyone, including humans and it would break his heart to know he had to eat them. Kenji deals with his hunger very well, mostly because everyone always keeps him well fed. He goes to the same school that the Tanizakis do with the instruction never to eat anything that isn't given to him by someone not affiliated with Uzumaki.

Nakajima Atsushi

Ward: 20 (Formerly 23)

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Species: Ghoul

Occupation: Uzumaki Waiter and Trainee Barista  (Because he does not have enough control over his eyes and Kaguine he cannot go to school, He hates feeling so hungry but recognised it as necessary and made peace with it long ago)

Izumi Kyouka

Species: Chimera Ghoul

Occupation: Uzumaki Trainee Barista (She’s already better than Atsushi, despite being not as experienced. She wants to be a student but doesn’t trust herself around humans. Also, she struggles with control of her eyes and Kagune. They tend to extend whenever she feels a threat (could be as simple as smelling another strange ghoul) or smells a human (because of hunger and predatory instincts)

Specialises In: sword skills and martial arts (taught by her mother)

She tried to cut off her Kagune but it didn’t work and she became severely distressed. Fukuzawa promised her that she’d be ready for society one day. She ended up keeping them because they were the only reminder of her late mother and father.

Alice: What future scene with this OC are you looking forward to writing/drawing?

Lol most all them 🤣🤣🤣.

But what am in most looking forward to? How badly would you judge me if I said the smut? Largely because that, for some reason is what I find easy and am most comfortably with.

Also the scene where Cem comes to the boundary between the Turks and the Greeks. The possibility of him crossing at all will require a public confession of love (which of course Ada already knows) but I think (I'm hoping) it will be a powerful moment.

Well since you said the Volturi I'm gonna go with Marcus, because because I am a Marcus appreciator.

I think Ada would LOVE Marcus. Ada gets Marcus on a deep, deep level. The man is a walking case of heartbreak and that connects to Ada's inherently romantic nature. Mostly she feels for Marcus. She doesn't have to have everything spelled out to understand why Marcus is the way he is. To Bella, Marcus looks indifferent and bored, but Ada sees Marcus's "boredom" and understands it as what it is: despair.

Furthermore I think Ada would want to help Marcus. Though Carlisle and Jasper and Edward theorize that it was because her experience with loving her fiance Henry was limited to her human life that she was able to fall in love with Cem, Ada isn't really convinced, because she had to let Henry go after she had been changed. Thus, Ada doubts the impossibility of second attachments for vampires. It would be long and hard, certainly it is impossible for some, but she doubts that it is for all.

In all Ada would be very drawn to Marcus's tragic-romantic nature and if she was able to spend any degree of time with him, she'd want nothing more than to just get him out of his current situation with Aro who looks so much like Didyme.
