BOTB || ROWAGE
If you asked Sage, she wouldn’t tell you that she was considerate. She wouldn’t tell you that she was a good friend. In fact, she’d go very far out of her way to try and prove the contrary. This was why, despite all of her convictions, she couldn’t understand why she found herself sliding into a bar stool next to Rowan. She motioned to the bartender to bring up two drinks, and slid one over to the redhead.
“You look like you’re psyching yourself again,” Sage noted, as she took a sip of her own beverage. “Knock knock. Earth to Rowan. Come back where I am so that I can talk you out of whatever stupidity someone’s spun at you.”

EXPOSING ACUP: DON’T TRUST AN EVANS
Hey there, Pepperinos, and welcome back to my channel. Today, we’re going to talk about a story that is currently breaking, and a story that I’ve been sitting on for literal months, just waiting for the perfect moment to make like your mom and fuck it up.
Now, you could ask me how I know this is finally in the works, but one look at Stacey’s ask answer on how she and Mae are no longer friends, as well as Mae’s current stream of wannabe emo girl posts, one could say that this cat’s out of the lesbian bag. And ladies, I’m your regular Suzy Claws here to give all of you on the naughty list a set of tea.
1. THE TIMELINE
Stevie and Mae have been hooking up for two months.
But Suzy, you’re saying, how is this possible? You spelled Stacey’s name wrong! No, I didn’t. You heard it here folks: Stevie and Mae have been sleeping together. One of my spies caught them at a party all the way back in December, not even two weeks after Stacey and Mae broke up.
I’m a little murky on some of the details. I don’t know when exactly this turned into more, but a look into Mae’s Meme Monday answers about who she’s currently sleeping with and the kinds of things she’s into all line up with several other answers Stevie has given. These two really tried to keep it on the fly, I’ll give them that, but now that you know what to look for, go back and read their posts and see just how obvious it was.
Do I have details about this sordid affair? No, no I don’t. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have cameras inside your apartments. If I want my revenge porn, I have to be more creative about getting it. Now, obviously, I can’t prove to you that this affair has lasted for this entire length of time, because truthfully, I’m not fully aware of it myself. But considering how today’s events went down, well...
Sources say that Stacey and Rowan were spotted entering Mae’s apartment building today. Shortly after, Stevie was spotted leaving the apartment. To which, Stevie then left the apartment after a few minutes, as did Stacey and Rowan, together.
What was this pow wow about? My thoughts are: Why was Rowan there? She’s not relevant.
EDIT: I went ahead and checked back with my sources and they reminded me that Stacey and Rowan are a thing but pretending nobody knows about them, despite disappearing from Nicola’s Oscar party together for half an hour and going on a date at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, of all places, before seeing The Prom.
Oh wait. Aren’t Mae and Rowan supposed to be best friends? What would I give to crash next Tuesday’s Warblette rehearsal...
2. THE EVANS TRIAGE
Lady, oh lady, I would not want to be Mama Evans right now. Can you imagine having your three daughters feuding like this?
Now, I’m sure some of you could have called this one. It’s not totally out of the question for an Evans to completely stab someone they love in the back all in the name of sex that’s the equivalent to pizza from Kentucky, but did we think that an Evans would do this to her own sister?
God, Stevie. Considering how often you claim that you don’t want to be like Sam, you sure did a great job of emulating her drama, didn’t you?
Now, here’s what I want to know. Did Sam know about this? You’d think that after that situation blew up in her face, she would have learned her lesson and encouraged Stevie to, you know, not fuck over her own sister? But on the other hand, I don’t think Sam’s all that perceptive enough to pick up on anything...
So we’ve got three instances of an Evans girl screwing over someone very important to them all in the sake of sex. And here’s where you all can ask yourselves, why are we enabling this kind of behavior and allowing them to treat people this way?
Sam -> Kate, aka her ex best friend Blair’s ex, but that’s old news.
Stacey -> Rowan, aka her ex Mae’s best friend
Stevie -> Mae, aka her sister’s ex
Gals, come on. Don’t be this gullible. Do not trust an Evans.
3. NO YOU MAE NOT
Did I not call this? Did I not tell you all so far ahead of time that Mae is a shady bitch? I don’t believe this innocent act for three seconds. Mae is so all over the place, I can’t tell which of her personalities is coming out today.
Fact check: Mae only has one personality, and it’s a shitty one. The kind of personality that says, hey, I’m going to have absolutely no regard for anyone’s feelings other than my own, and not only destroy a family, but try and hide it from the people involved so as not to tarnish my crystal clear reputation.
This is what’s happening to Mae’s reputation.
4. SLEEPING WITH YOUR EX’S SISTER/SISTER’S EX IS WRONG
I just wanted to state that as obvious, since some of you idiots are actually going to try and defend Stevie and Mae’s behavior. Just in case you consider making that heinous choice in ethics, do us all a favor and don’t. I’d love to see how they try and worm their way out of this one-- it was one time! We didn’t know what we were doing! I liked Stevie before I ever liked Stacey! I liked Mae before Stacey did! We were going to end it! We were going to tell her! Many of these excuses will come up in numerous ways in the upcoming days: don’t believe a word of it. They both should know they fucked up and now they have to suffer the consequences.
Although, I don’t truly know if Stevie thinks that what she’s done is wrong, because she has the moral compass of a teaspoon. Talking to her about it will be like how talking to Stevie always is: hurling yourself at a brick wall.
There are the facts, ma’ams and misses. Go forth and drag.
Happy March, ladies. The madness has only just begun.

TASK 1: WORKING 9 TO 5
Monday, September 23rd
5:30AM - Gosh it’s early, isn’t it? This is Rowan’s first and only alarm going off, and she only needs a moment to turn it off, sitting up and convincing herself not to fall back asleep. It’s awfully tempting, especially on Mondays. But up she must get. Shower, hair, makeup, clothes, packing her bag, it all takes quite a bit of time, but eventually she has to make her way down the street, getting to Times Square Station by...
7:07AM - to hop on the 1. Sure, it’s crowded and filled with people who don’t actually know how to use the subway station, but there’s a certain sense of nostalgia every morning. She’ll swipe in case she sees anyone needing help, and then get comfortable in a window seat. It’s not long enough to listen to a full podcast, but Rowan’s making her way through a backlog of episodes of Lore. Soon enough, it’s...
7:19AM - time to get off at Christopher Street Station. Now that she’s truly awake, Rowan makes a quick caffeine pit stop. It’s Monday, so there’s not a lot of time to socialize so she’ll swing by Starbucks instead of her usual at ACup. It also helps avoid awkward run-ins with Stacey. But for now, she’ll grab a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and a croissant and walk the rest of the way to PS3, arriving around...
7:25AM-8:15AM - and spending the rest of this time prepping for her day. She pulls out her planner and sourcebooks, sorting them by when they’ll come up during her lessons. If it’s her turn on rotation, she’ll do some reading while watching the breakfast crew. It’s a fun little group of regulars, which makes Rowan laugh from the familiarity of it all. She’ll help out with homework where necessary, right up until...
8:20AM - when the first bell rings. So her day begins! Rowan really loves her job, and even on one of the toughest days of the week, her kids make (almost) every moment enjoyable. The hours tend to zoom by and it’s only until right before lunch that she realizes she left her lunchbag back home. Thankfully, the school lunch isn’t that bad, and it’s stuffed shells today. And on it goes until...
2:40PM - Final bell. Nothing spectacular, everyone expects the children to be rowdier after lunch, and they totally deliver. Normally she would stay half an hour or so to decompress, but it’s Monday, which means that once...
3:00PM - comes around, it’s time to help out at the afterschool program. Ever since she’s taken up knitting, Rowan’s been fascinated with crafting and fabric, so it’s no wonder that she’s in charge of the Textile Arts Workshop with the kids. It helps her do something creative, and she gets to meet children from all the other grades as well. She’s there until the last kid leaves with project in hand, so that means it’s almost...
6:00PM - before she leaves PS3, in search of food and a quick cocktail before she heads to ACup for Karaoke night. She’ll probably get a wrap of some sort, wash it down with a beer, and find a nice quiet spot to read at the cafe before...
8:00PM - rolls around and Karaoke starts with full effort. It’s been kind of a long day, so Rowan’ll stick around for a song or two, belting out one of Heart or Pat Benatar’s greatest hits to a crowd of her peers and friends. But she usually can’t stay until the last song (almost always Closing Time), because by the time it’s...
10:00PM - Rowan is back at home, wrapped in her robe and ready to sleep. Not every day is a full as this one, but Ro’s been working hard to keep a good work/life balance. Twiggy might cuddle with her for a bit, but once the cat realizes that she’s about to stop giving her scritches she’ll slink back to Kate’s room. Soon enough, it’s just Rowan in her bed, sending a text or two that she might have forgotten to respond to in the hubbub of the day before setting her phone to Do Not Disturb. After all, tomorrow is right around the corner, and a girl needs her rest!

I Hope You Don’t Mind → BotB ( @rileduplynn )
They didn’t make any official plan to see each other at BotB, it just sort of happened when Riley planted herself in the conveniently empty seat next to Haley.
They have a great time listening to the first few boos on the respective spot lists and Haley grins like a kid in a candy store when she realizes Rowan’s rendition of Your Song was dedicated to her from Riley
They hold hands through the song; it takes Haley halfway through the second verse to realize it’s a romantic song and boy howdy does she start feeling some type of palpitations.
After the song ends but before Haley can ask about it, Riley kisses her. Haley doesn’t have to ask about it after that, but they spend the rest of the show holding hands like two idiots.
They’re both stupidly dumb grinning through the night and after ending on a high note of the Pokémon theme song, they end their night with a classic make out session against a wall outside of Acup.

Skittles → Hungry (Hunter + Logan)
Tagging → @acuplogan @huntercyastud
Location → ACup
Date → March 28, 2019
Summary → The Warblettes perform Hunter’s steamy dedication to Logan and things take a different turn for the two best friends.
HUNTER
Hunter had especially been looking forward to Battle of the Bands this week. It was dedications to ACup patrons and while, yes, Hunter could have dedicated a sweet, sisterly song to Harper, they weren't really those kind of sisters. Hunter also could have dedicated a song to Rowan, maybe. But did she really feel inclined to stir the pot? Waste her time? Nah. Or... even a strictly platonic song to Logan. But their texts from the past week was quickly greying the area of strictly platonic. It was that grey area that pushed Hunter to dedicate a different kind of song to Logan. A song that definitely showed all the sexual frustration she'd been having the entire week thanks to Logan.
As the Warblettes transitioned to Hunter's dedication and Mae announced who it was for, a smug look formed on Hunter's face, but she didn't look over at Logan. Not yet. Hunter mixed her drink with her straw as she leaned back and settled comfortably into her seat. It was about to be a fun performance. Mae and the Warblettes began to perform the incredibly sexual song, and when the song reached the pre-chorus that's when Hunter looked over at Logan with a smirk, gauging her reaction.
LOGAN
Logan swirled the liquid in her cup around, glancing at the people surrounding her at Battle of the Bands. She wasn’t the most dedicated attendee of the monthly event, but with the theme quite literally being the possibility of public call out’s? She wasn’t going to deny herself the privilege of that. From gentle call out dedications to exes to disgustingly adorable dedications to significant others, Logan was finding herself bordering on the realm of boredness. She was wanting more drama to the night, but that didn’t seem to be the case. However, a flicker of promise occurred whenever Logan heard the dedication of a song from Hunter to Logan. She perked up slightly at the sound of the girl’s voice coming through the speakers, glancing around the room to find her best friend, immediately quirking a curious brow whenever her eyes landed on her.
I love your face
You love the taste
That sugar babe, it melts away
As the first lyrics came into the room, Logan immediately felt herself gripping her cup a little harder and stronger in her hand, tilting her head to the side. Their ‘friendship’ had crossed quite a few lines over the past couple of days, but she would have never expected something like this. Logan exhaled a playful laugh, trying to keep the cool and collected charade up in the room. However, as the song progressed, Logan found herself tipping her cup against her lips and chugging from the cup like she hadn’t had a drink in years. She glanced over towards Hunter before immediately locking eyes with her and mouthing a quick, ‘what the fuck?’
HUNTER
Hunter lifted her cup at Logan and smirked as she chugged the rest of her drink and licked her lips after. As the Warblettes sang the chorus, Hunter mouthed the next lyrics to Logan in response. "Pink is the flavor. Solve the riddle." Hunter winked as she looked away to "pay attention" to the Warblettes performance. Her attention was elsewhere, though. Hunter wanted to keep her eyes on Logan the entire time and, maybe it was the alcohol, but God, she'd give anything to get the chance to show Logan she wasn't just singing lyrics just for the heck of it. She meant every single word.
Keep me coming, keep me going, keep me coming, keep me going
Keep me humming, keep me moaning, keep me humming, keep me moaning
Hunter stood up and walked over to the bar to refill her drink, keeping her eyes on Logan as she walked before leaning against the bar counter and taking a large gulp of her drink. Alcohol always did make Hunter a horny little fucker and right now she only had one thought in her mind. Maybe Hunter did this on purpose because she knew the alcohol would blur her mind from thoughts such as why the fuck would she risk years of friendship with Logan just to get some from Logan? Thing was, Logan wasn't just another girl Hunter wanted to fuck. She was more. And maybe that was another thought Hunter wanted to blur with alcohol.
LOGAN
Logan felt like her entire body was heating up, and she wasn't sure if it was from the dedication or from the way that Hunter was looking at her. It was different texting her in less than appropriate ways, to having her across the room and looking at her with the so called 'fuck me eyes' that Hunter always claimed Logan used on her. She swallowed hard as she followed Hunter's lead, looking back up at the stage and watching the show continue on. However, while her eyes were glaring at the Warblettes performing the song, her mind could not stop racing with thoughts of Hunter.
Hearing that the song was coming to an end, Logan turned her head back to find Hunter in the crowd, but she wasn't where she had previously been. She immediately started looking around, hunting the girl down before her eyes landed on her once more.
Don't stop loving 'til the morning, don't stop loving 'til the morning
Don't stop screaming, freaking, blowing
Without even realizing it, Logan was placing her cup down on the closest surface as her feet carried her across the room. She ignored any greetings from the people she was passing by, immediately approaching Hunter and stepping closer to whisper in her ear. "Can I fucking talk to you?" Logan asked, her tone rough as she grasped onto Hunter's wrist, immediately pulling her towards the ACup bathroom.
HUNTER
Hunter looked back at the Warblettes performance as it was coming to an unfortunate end. Hunter was enjoying herself, if she was being honest. Teasing was her favorite thing to do. And she knew she was having an effect on Logan. Hunter looked back in the direction she last saw Logan and raised an eyebrow when she noticed Logan wasn't there anymore. Where the fuck did she go? Oh fuck, did Hunter take it too far and now Logan was gone? So much for caring about her meaningful friendship with Logan. Jesus, Hunter really couldn't keep it in her pants, could she? Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck--
Suddenly she was met by Logan's rough--and very hot-- voice demanding Hunter talk to her. Hunter felt relief that she didn't scare off Logan. And since she didn't scare off Logan, she was back in business. Hunter raised an eyebrow and opened her mouth for a witty response, but suddenly she was being pulled to the ACup bathroom. "So demanding right now, Logan. I can only do one request per day, just remember that." Hunter teased with a smug smile as they stepped inside the ACup bathroom and Hunter ran her eyes hungrily over Logan's body. "What do you want to...talk about?" Hunter licked her lips.
LOGAN
On the journey from the main part of the event to the bathroom, Logan wasn't sure what her plan was. She could talk to Hunter about how that song made her feel, but that was going to result in a very awkward, sexually charged conversation. She could talk to Hunter about how they needed to slow down and simmer things a bit so that the friendship wouldn't turn sour, but even she didn't want to do that. She could talk to Hunter about at least keeping things softer spoken than just announcing them to the masses, but she almost liked that. She could talk to Hunter about a lot of things, but the second they arrived in the bathroom and Hunter was being her disgustingly normal self, Logan couldn't even remember words.
"Shut the fuck up," she mumbled after a moment as she looked at the floor, fingers still clenched around her best friend's wrist as she weighed their options in the moment. "Fuck it," she whispered to herself before she was dragging Hunter's body more into the bathroom stall, closing the door behind them by simply slamming Hunter's back against the partition. "I don't want to talk." Before she could even allow Hunter another round at a comment, Logan was leaning in and pressing her lips against the girl's, groaning at the contact occurring between them. This was something she had wanted to do for years now and because of that, her hands gripped onto her hips to hold her in place.
HUNTER
Everything was kind of a blur given Hunter's drunkenness. One minute Logan and Hunter were standing in the middle of the ACup bathroom. And the next Hunter found herself pinned against the partition. If Hunter wasn't turned on before, she certainly was now. God damn. Hunter groaned at the kiss, quickly deepening the kiss as she slowly slid her hands down Logan's back to grip Logan's ass. Hunter had wanted to do that many times before. The kissing and the ass gripping. And hearing Logan groan was making Hunter damn near lose her mind. And Hunter was determined to hear more of it. Hunter let Logan have her fun with being in control of Hunter for a few moments. But Hunter wouldn't really give Logan the complete satisfaction of topping Hunter. Not yet, anyways.
"It's cute you think I like to listen to you, Logan." Hunter mumbled against Logan's lips before pushing Logan to the opposite side of the stall and pinning her with her body as she kissed down to Logan's neck. "I want to hear that moan of yours, Logan." Hunter whispered against Logan's ear before nibbling it, moving her lips back down Logan's neck and sucking on Logan's neck gently. Hunter couldn't believe she was actually doing this. Kissing Logan? Shit, making out with Logan? Hunter had wanted this for the past two years. More than this, really, but she wouldn't think about that detail right now. Right now she just wanted to hear Logan moan.
LOGAN
As things progressed in their stall, Logan felt more and more like they were in their own little world. Hunter’s hands were roaming her body, her lips following suit as her words cut through the chatter of the event going on outside the bathroom. “Oh, shut u—“ Logan started, her mind instantly blanking the moment she felt Hunter’s lips working her neck. Weakness. It wasn’t even twenty seconds into things and Hunter was already figuring out the things that completely made Logan turn into total mush in a person’s hand. Granted, she was already that for Hunter, no matter what or where. She swallowed hard as the kissing to her neck got heavier, hearing the words spilling from the girls lips as everything went hazy. If she thought their risqué text messaging the other night was hot, this was a completely different playing field. “Keep uh, fuck. Keep going and you m-might.” She hated herself for being so breathless with every word she spoke, but she couldn’t help herself.
It was only a matter of time before Logan’s little noises were turning into legitimate moans. The more than wanted assault to her neck was starting to make her legs feel like jello and just as Logan was about to beg for more, she heard the door to the bathroom open. Their stall door was jiggled, most likely another drunk girl trying to gain access as fast as humanly possible to get back to things. “Occupied,” Logan stated, her voice loud enough to be heard by someone other than her and Hunter. She swallowed hard, the pulling of her attention giving her more than enough strength to thread fingers into the hair on the back of Hunter’s hair, yanking her face to a place where she was able to kiss her once more. “Don’t, please.” Logan’s voice was ranging on the realm of pathetic, but she couldn’t help herself. This was one too many dreams coming true.
HUNTER
"Oh, I will." Hunter replied confidently with a smirk as she continued working Logan's neck. And then she heard Logan's string of moans and Hunter almost lost her mind. It was the best sound in the world, according to Hunter. Hunter could listen to Logan's moans on repeat for hours and, honestly, Hunter really wanted to hear other ways she could make Logan moan. She wanted more. She needed more. And since Hunter was on the topic of honesty, she really wanted to just stop everything and kiss Logan's lips gently. She wanted to know how that felt, too. And maybe that was asking for too much, so Hunter would go on and settle for what she had now.
Hunter was startled when the stall door jiggled and snorted when she realized it was some ACup patron probably trying to get in. Hunter laughed into Logan's neck as Logan spoke for the two of them that this stall was incredibly busy at the moment. The laughing moment was cut short by Logan pulling at her hair and kissing her again. Hunter groaned at the feeling. "Don't, what?" Hunter mumbled, continuing to kiss Logan. Don't fall in love with you? Hunter thought. A little late for that. The way Logan had spoke just now made Hunter want to pause for a moment and tell Logan she was the most beautiful girl in the world and do something super gay like kiss her nose or whatever it was people did. It had been a while since Hunter thought of doing things like that. But Logan had an effect on her. Always had, and probably always will.
LOGAN
As their moment continued in the bathroom stall, Logan felt herself floating higher and higher into the realm of an intoxicated state. The alcohol was helping that along, but it was the intoxicating feeling of finally being able to kiss Hunter the way that she had always wanted. It was almost a wild sensation for her, but alas, she was not about to give it up. Their kissing was continuing, paired perfectly with Hunter's jeering towards her and it made Logan groan in frustration at how much was happening, but still so little was happening. "Don't stop, Hunt. C'mon," she sighed heavily as her needy fingers moved more into the positioning of cupping the sides of Hunter's neck as she deepened things.
After a couple of moments, and many dizzying moments of Logan's brain malfunctioning, she pulled away for a much needed breath. "You have no idea... what the fuck you do to me," she whispered, her breath ragged as she spoke. She moved her lips to Hunter's neck, kissing and sliding her tongue across her pulse point as she did absolutely anything and everything to try and make this moment last for a little bit longer. It was only a matter of time before their little world came tumbling down. They were in public, after all.
HUNTER
Hunter chuckled at the idea of her stopping. Hunter couldn't stop--not when Logan's lips quickly found themselves more intoxicating than the alcohol itself. "Why would I ever stop this?" Hunter groaned as Logan pulled her closer and Hunter made no hesitance in Logan doing whatever the fuck she wanted to her. Logan could do practically anything and Hunter wouldn't stop her. That's how much Hunter was in deep for Logan.
A little gasp slipped out of Hunter's lips, not expecting Logan to move down to her neck. "Jesus, Logan, fuck." Hunter lifted her head up a little higher to give Logan enough access to do more because Hunter needed more. And she knew it was only a matter of time before either of them made the realization what they were doing and how they shouldn't be doing it. They were just friends. That's all they'd been all these years and this was dangerous territory they were setting foot into. "I know...exactly what you to do me. It's dangerous. But so fucking addicting." That word. Addicting. Hunter always told herself that she'd never put herself in a position where she could get addicted to something. Hunter always assumed it'd be drugs, that was something she'd never do given who her parents were. However, nobody warned Hunter how tempting a person could be and how quickly you could get hooked on them. "Mmm, come home with me, Logan." Hunter moved her hands down to Logan's hips and squeezed them. Hunter knew she shouldn't be asking this of Logan. There was making out...but then there was sex. You can never go back from that, but Hunter was past the point of caring.
LOGAN
Logan smirked against the now slick skin of Hunter’s neck at the gasped out words from her actions. There was always something addictive about making someone feel on top of the world, but it was a whole different ball field whenever it was Hunter. She had thought of so many different scenarios where this moment occurred and while a bathroom at a local coffee shop was hardly her go to thought, she wasn’t going to trade it for the world. “I don’t fucking care about dangerous,” Logan whispered against her skin, sliding her lips down to the crook of her neck where she sunk her teeth playfully into her skin. She knew it could potentially leave a mark, but quite frankly, she did not give a damn about that. It wasn’t until Hunter’s last words that she was pulling back slightly, eyes alive and looking at her best friend. “Yeah?” She questioned with a tilt of her head and a raise of her eyebrow. She smirked once more, allowing her tongue to slide against her lips as she nodded her head. “Yeah, okay,” she said before she was leaning in and kissing Hunter again. The kiss was all tongue and teeth for the most part, her excitement getting the best of her before she was slowing everything down once more. Her hands moved to Hunter’s, fingers sliding against her wrists as she willed her hands to move more freely against her own body. Logan could hear the exasperation coming from outside the stall, knowing that there were more people than stalls that were needing to use the facilities, but she didn’t care. She couldn’t stop herself as her lips continued sliding against Hunter’s.
HUNTER
Hunter couldn't help but let out a moan at the bite and cursed under her breath. Hunter always knew Logan was quite the character from all the years she's known her, but nothing, not even the many fantasies Hunter came up in her head about Logan, could prepare her for the real thing. Hunter preferred the real thing in a heartbeat, though. It was messy, no doubt, but it was real. As Logan placed Hunter's hands on her body, Hunter took no hesitation to quickly explore it with groping and nails digging and dragging throughout different parts of Logan's body. But then Hunter remembered the biggest thing she's always wanted to do. As Logan continued kissing her, Hunter took a second to pull away, her breath raggedy. Hunter looked at Logan with a soft smile as she cupped Logan's face, gently running her thumb over Logan's cheek. Hunter could say it. Right now. She could say right now how much she loved Logan. Hunter wouldn't, though. She knew that. The matters of the way her heart felt was always dealt with cowardice. "You're beautiful." Hunter whispered. "So beautiful." Hunter leaned in and kissed Logan's lips gently with the most sincerity she could put in that kiss. Maybe words couldn't be spoken, but Hunter's actions could say enough. Maybe.
LOGAN
While the words were nice to hear, Logan couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of panic at the love laced within the confines of Hunter's words. She kissed her back, but there was something lingering inside of her that was terrified. Sure, she had always had deeper feelings for her best friend, and only in vulnerable moments would she refer to these as loving feelings, but it was a completely different thing for the emotions to possibly feel reciprocated. However, now was not the time. Logan deepened the kiss, her fingers grasping onto Hunter's shirt as she held her closer while their lips worked in perfect unison. It wasn't until a bold voice crossed through the thresholds of the little world they had made. "Is someone... is someone fucking making out in there? Come the fuck on, lesbians, it's the busiest night of the month. People need to fucking piss," Ellie's annoyance was laced in her words, and quite frankly, Logan wasn't in the mood for things going completely array. She pulled back quickly before she was looking at Hunter and laughing softly. "I... we need to... I'll meet you?" And without much other word, Logan was bolting out of the confines of their bathroom stall and out the bathroom entirely. She faded into the bodies of the Battle as she thought about everything that happened. In no time, she was exiting the building with fast movements. She was going home -- much to her dismay of not following through on her words to Hunter.

Fools Rush In → Mae, Stacey, Rowan & Stevie
TAGGING→ @yesyoumae @itsstaceyevans @rrrrowan @streetsmartstevie
LOCATION→ Mae & Jackie’s apartment
DATE→ March 21, 2019
SUMMARY → Rowan and Stacey make the mature decision to talk to Mae about their relationship. That goes smoothly. That is, until Stevie walks in.
Note: Shit hits the fan. Welcome to the shit show!
MAE
Mae’s anxiety was through the roof as Stacey and Rowan sat in her living room. Why were they here? And why were they here together? Did Stacey know about her and Stevie? No, of course not. If she did, Stacey would have already called her out on it. Mae had nothing to worry about yet, she hoped. It was awkward, though. They had been quiet for several minutes already. Stacey asked if she could come over and Mae was sent into a panic as to why Stacey suddenly wanted to see her. And then she showed up with Rowan and Mae wasn’t sure what to think or what to make of anything. But the main emotion she felt? Guilt. Lots and lots of guilt for the way she handled things. Well, handling things would indicate that Mae put some thought into everything she did (which, quite frankly, she did not), but, regardless. Mae felt horrible for sleeping with Stevie when she was Stacey’s ex. Mae looked over at the two girls in front of her. “As great as it is to have you guys here, do you mind telling me why exactly you guys are here?” Mae put on a smile. “Is everything okay?”
STACEY
This was the most nervous that Stacey had ever felt in her whole life. Graduating from high school, her first day at NYU, her first day at ACup, nothing compared to this moment right now as she and Rowan sat in Mae's apartment. There was an awkward silence in the air as the three of them said or did nothing. Stacey had been constantly tapping her fingers against her legs as she refused to look at either of the other girls in the room, trying to find the right words to say. She must have looked like an absolute dumbass, poor Rowan. As Mae broke the silence, she jumped slightly and then hastily cleared her throat. "Yeah." Stacey replied, nodding a lot more than a normal human being should. "Everything is... is great." She swallowed hard and took a quick glance at Rowan. "I need to talk to you about something." Then she frowned and shuffled forward in her seat. "We need to talk to you about something." Stacey took once last look at Rowan and gave her a weak smile. But as she turned back to Mae, she still couldn't find the words that she needed to say.
ROWAN
Rowan was torn between wanting to bolt out of the apartment and wanting to just shrivel up and die on the carpet right there on the spot. But neither of those things would be useful or helpful, right? Right. So she straightened her back as she sat there, resisting every urge to reach out and grab Stacey's hand. That certainly wasn't the way to break that topic. Okay Rowan, deep breaths. She couldn't stop bouncing her knee, realizing how silly they looked, sitting on the couch as Mae sat on a separate seat across from them. Like two parents talking to their child about drugs. Oh god, that was a terrible comparison. Their latest Warblettes rehearsal had been more awkward than most since Rowan had started seeing Stacey, and honestly it was only just going to get worse. "Everything's fine." She blurted out, speaking over Stacey's equal statement. And then she smiled, Stacey smiled and she felt like she might actually be able to get out of this in one piece. "So here's the thing, Mae...you know I love you a lot, you're literally like my best friend. And I--we've been trying to figure out how to tell you this..." She trailed off, trying to figure out how to choose her next words. But just as she jumped into Stacey's lap, maybe the straightforward answer was best. "We've been seeing each other."
MAE
Mae wasn’t sure why, but she just assumed that the Warblettes were kicking her out and replacing her with Stacey. Stacey had a nice voice, so she wouldn’t be surprised. And when Rowan began to talk about how much she cared about Mae and how she had difficulty telling Mae...Mae just assumed that was it. All of the Warblettes decided Mae was out and sent Rowan, one of her closest friends, to break the ice. Geez—you’d assume they’d at least send Jessi or maybe Blair, but—
”We’ve been seeing each other.” took Mae out of her thoughts and watched the scene unfold. Oh. So it wasn’t her being kicked out of the Warblettes. Mae tilted her head as she tried to wrap her head around the idea. Stacey and Rowan? Together? That was...unexpected. Was Mae upset? Not at all. Mostly confused when this all happened, really. But mostly? Mae was relieved and a little happy Stacey found someone. Rowan was amazing and sweet...and Mae could shake some of the guilt away. Some, not all. Stacey was happy, Mae assumed. And that’s all Mae could really ask for. “Oh. Wow.” Mae mumbled before smiling. “That’s amazing, guys. Really, I’m happy for you two.” Mae looked at Stacey. “You deserve to be happy. I’m the number one supporter of you and happiness and...I’m happy you talked to me about this. It’s very mature of you.” Mae couldn’t say the same about herself since she was a coward that could never confront Stacey about Stevie. But, really, how could she? Stevie didn’t exactly feel anything for Mae, so it wasn’t like Rowan and Stacey. There was something there. Something beautiful. Mae? Not so much. “So, tell me! When did this happen?” Mae asked excitedly. “I’m all ears, really. I want to know. You guys seem really happy.” Mae smiled.
STACEY
As Rowan started to speak, Stacey could feel some of her nerves disappear. She was so happy that the other girl was there for her, but it was the two of them in this relationship, so it was the right thing to do. But then with Rowan's straight forward explanation, Stacey did feel her breath catch slightly as she looked over at Mae, waiting for her reaction. It didn't occur to her until right then that this actually might be a bad idea. What if Mae was angry? What if it got Rowan kicked out the Warblettes? As she opened her mouth to say 'just kidding' and back-peddle completely on their decision, Stacey could see Mae's smile. Hearing that Mae was happy for them, even if she was just saying that to their faces, made Stacey give a sigh of relief and she relaxed back into her seat. "Thanks Mae." She said as her ex spoke about her happiness. Yeah, Mae was right, Stacey deserved to be happy and she was happy with Rowan. Maybe this was the push she needed to make it official, finally starting to get her closure. Stacey looked at Rowan and reached over to take her hand into her own. "February 9th." She replied, and then blushed. "Sorry... I have the date memorised."
ROWAN
This was...not the reaction that Rowan expected. Weren't revelations like this supposed to be harmful? Yet here Mae was, smiling at them! Rowan had always been one to show her emotions plainly on her face though, so maybe Mae was better at covering it up than she. Wow. Rowan really was braced for impact, and it kind of felt anticlimactic now. But she smiled, especially as Stacey took her hand. They had the opportunity now, to take this on their terms without worrying about the reaction of exes. "You don't know how happy I am to tell you, Mae. I was...I was so worried that this would kind of ruin our friendship." She blushed as Stacey so quickly recalled that first date that only became a date after the fact. She didn't want to rub it in to Mae, though. "Hopefully, when we decide to make things official, we'll still be able to hang out together? All of us?"
MAE
Mae smiled at them, watching as Stacey took Rowan’s hand. Her smile faltered—not because she was jealous or upset at Rowan and Stacey, but a part of Mae wished this was a reality for her too. With Stevie. Of course, that wasn’t going to happen. That wasn’t going to ever happen. Mae chuckled as Stacey blurted out the date. “That’s amazing, honestly.” Mae turned to Rowan. “You have an amazing person here, honestly. Both of you do. And I’d be more than happy to still hang out. We’re still friends! All of us. If you guys want that, of course.” Mae said softly before letting out a sigh. “Wow, for a second I thought I was getting kicked out of the Warblettes and Stacey was replacing me.” Mae chuckled. “This is way better news, obviously.”
STACEY
Stacey now finally felt like she could relax. She and Rowan had told Mae about them, Mae was cool about it, and everything was good in the world. "Yeah I know." She said in response to Mae saying that Rowan was an amazing person. But then she realised where she was, parading her new relationship in front of her ex, so she gave Rowan's hand one last squeeze and finally looked away from her. Turning to Mae, she grinned and nodded. "Of course we're all friends Mae. You're a great person and you have always got my back." She winked playfully at her and gave a laugh. "Please, you know you're a better singer than me. The Bird Nerds need you."
ROWAN
"Friends sounds perfect. I wouldn't have it any other way." Rowan laughed softly at Mae's conspiracy theory. "Oh gosh, we would never do that, Mae! And trust me, I don't think I would be the one to carry that news anyway. Or that you would be the one being kicked out before me." She shook her head with another laugh. "I think we all had very very different expectations of how this conversation would go. I'm glad though, that it was different. For me, at least." She smiled again, feeling pretty damn content with life right now.
STEVIE
Stevie cursed under her breath as she walked up the flight of stairs to Mae's apartment. Ever since the whole... fucking shit show that went down at her apartment, Stevie had been more irritated than usual. Between Sam finding out about what was going on and Mae's weirdness, it had been a time. What the hell had Mae been thinking? Talking about more? They'd just been sleeping together, that was it. There was nothing else happening between them. And Stevie didn't fucking want that at all. Even if she wanted a relationship, she wouldn't want it with Mae. She was nothing close to what Stevie would want-- she was bubbly and dumb and a weird optimist. And Stevie knew that she was the exact opposite of anyone Mae would ever want to be with. She dated Stacey, for Christ sakes. This was the whole reason why they were in this situation to begin with. She needed to know why Mae had said that Stevie meant more than just sex to her. Which couldn't be right, there was no way she meant that. Stevie just knew that Mae didn't really want more from someone like her.
Taking hold of the doorknob, Stevie sighed. She just needed to come out and say what she needed to say before Mae could try to talk over her. Gritting her teeth, Stevie pushed open the door. "Before you say anything, I just need to fucking know why you said that I mean more to y--" Stevie froze in the doorway as she saw Stacey sitting in Mae's living room. Eyes wide, she glanced from Stacey to Mae to... Rowan? What the fuck was going on here?
STACEY
Stacey was just about to suggest the three of them making some plans together. Her mouth was open, her brain forming the words as she tried to figure out something they could all do together, then the door opened. It was human nature to be curious as to who was barging into Mae's apartment like that, like they owned the place. So she turned her head towards the door, and could not believe her eyes. Honestly the last person she ever expected to be walking into Mae's place. Stevie. Her sister Stevie. Her sister Stephanie Erin Evans had just walked through the door of Mae Diaz's apartment.
"Stevie." Stacey said, her brows furrowing as she took in the presence of her older sister. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked, ignoring the possible explanation that Mae could give her. Her head was now working overtime as she tried to figure out what Stevie had just said, which she presumed was directed at Mae. Stevie meant something to Mae? Slowly, Stacey stood up and took in the deer in headlights impression that her sister was doing, and then she turned to look at Mae. "What's going on?"
MAE
Things were going smoothly with Rowan and Stacey. Even though Sam had said she was going to tell Stacey, at least now was fine. She could deal with that later. But then Stevie burst into her apartment. Stevie. Fucking Stevie. Mae didn’t think she’d be seeing much of Stevie after this, and then Stevie shows up to her apartment while STACEY is here. And immediately asks about what Mae meant when she said Stevie meant more than her...in front of STACEY. Mae’s face turned pale and it felt like her heart was caught up in her throat. “Uh—I—“ Mae tried to talk as Stacey questioned her. Mae looked at Stevie with terrified look before taking a deep breath. “Nothing—I—I...” Mae put her hands in her face. She honestly wanted to burst into tears how this could all happen all at once. But there was no point in hiding it. Stevie opened her fucking mouth. Mae let out a shaky breath as tears brimmed in her eyes. “Stevie and I were sleeping together.” Mae blurted out. “And I...I have feelings for her.” Mae couldn’t even look at Stacey in the eye as she said that. Mae dropped the bomb. Whatever her, Rowan, and Stacey were talking about earlier was all over because Stacey wouldn’t even acknowledge her existence after all this.
ROWAN
It was only pleasantly awkward now, rather than truly awkward, as the big reveal was really over, and Rowan could relax. Maybe they could grab some coffee? Rowan was about to suggest this before the door opened, along with Stevie Evans. Definitely not someone that she'd expect to open the door like that. "Stevie?" She was confused. Like...really confused. But she didn't even realize there was a whole other layer of confusion possible once words were actually said.
Rowan literally cocked her head to the side as she tried to understand what Stevie meant. Obviously, she was very out of the loop. She could feel Stacey growing tense again, and held onto her hand as long as she could before letting go as Stacey stood up. Her eyes grew wide as Mae started to speak, maybe catching on a second before she actually spoke the truth out loud. "What the fuck," she whispered, realizing that 1. that kind of comment wasn't useful to anyone and 2. this wasn't going to end as smoothly as the first part of her afternoon had.
STEVIE
Stevie had always thought that it was melodramatic of people to say things like "I wished the floor opened up and swallowed me whole." But right now? When she was facing her sister and the girl she had been sleeping with, who happened to be her sister's ex? After said absolutely idiotic girl decided to blurt out that they had been sleeping together? Stevie didn't want to floor to open up, she wanted to fucking book it out the fire escape and get the hell out of here. She wanted to turn around and run. Running away from her problems had always worked out for her, why should she stop now?
But, she couldn't just... let Mae deal with this can of worms. She was a part of this too. Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Staring up at the ceiling, Stevie groaned. "God fucking dammit, Mae. You couldn't even try to deny it?" She was choosing to ignore the last part of what Mae said. They didn't have time to unpack that, even though it was why she was here to begin with. No, now she had something else to take care of. Letting out a sigh, Stevie folded her arms across her chest. "So... yeah. We were fucking. Not while you two were together, I'm not that kind of asshole. Just the kind that thinks it's a good idea to sleep with your sister's ex in the first place." Squinting over at Rowan, Stevie frowned. "Why are you here?"
STACEY
Stacey's blood ran cold. After she heard those words "Stevie and I have been sleeping together." it was almost like time had froze. She could see that Mae's mouth was moving as she said something else, but she couldn't hear her. All she could hear were those seven words over and over again in her head. "What?" She muttered out, her throat dry. She felt faint. But then as she heard her sister speak up, and the anger in her voice, something snapped inside of Stacey. No, Stevie didn't get to be angry right now, she did.
"No." Stacey said firmly as she looked back over at Stevie. "No. No, no no." She clenched her fists tight, nails biting into the palm of her hands. "Because you hate her." Then she turned back to Mae. "And you... You're not that kind of person." When Stevie turned her attention to Rowan, Stacey moved protectively in front of her. "Do not talk to her like that." The fact that she had now realised that she hadn't even told Stevie about her and Rowan dawned on her, but she was too angry to say anything. And right now was about Stevie and Mae. Stacey now turned back to Mae and took a good look at her face. "How long?" She said, her voice almost faltering as it started to sink in. "How long Mae." She repeated, louder now.
MAE
Mae looked over at Stevie and shrugged. "No point in denying it. She was going to find out, anyway." Mae ran a hand through her hair before looking over at Stacey and her heart breaking at how Stacey looked. She was angry and clearly upset and if Mae didn't hate herself for all her reckless decisions then, she certainly did now. Mae felt immense guilt and she really wished she didn't. She just stupidly followed her heart and made every decision with it and didn't think for a second that eventually she'd be sitting here right now with Stacey's broken demeanor staring at her with a glaring look. When Stacey told Mae she "wasn't that person," Mae wasn't sure what Stacey meant anymore. What kind of person was Mae now? She didn't feel like she was all that good anymore, but she wanted to believe a part of her was. And that the part where she had feelings for Stevie wasn't as bad as it was made out to be.
Mae cringed when Stacey spoke to her louder and angrier, this time. Fuck. "Um--I--" Mae stammered. Mae knew the answer, but her heart was beating fast and Mae just wanted the Earth to swallow her whole, honestly. "Stevie's birthday." Mae told her. "B-but it was just kissing, at first." Mae defended weakly. "And then...yeah." Mae looked at her shaking hands. "I...I didn't mean for this to happen it just...did. I didn't...I didn't realize my feelings for her until the first time we...kissed." Mae managed to say. Mae didn't know why she felt she had to defend her feelings or any of this. She knew there was no justifying, but after Stacey said Mae wasn't that kind of person...a part of Mae--the people pleaser side--wanted to prove that. "I'm so sorry." Mae's voice cracked and Mae internally slapped herself for that. She shouldn't be the one near tears yet here she was.
ROWAN
Rowan stood up finally, not enjoying how diminutive she felt while sitting among them. Tempers were starting to flare and it was so opposite of how everything was progressing just a few short minutes again. "Hey, hey." She spoke up, putting her hand on Stacey's shoulder. "She gave us patience while we spoke, we owe her that much." She couldn't imagine to be in the situation that Mae was in right now, but she was so torn, unable to decide who she wanted to comfort more. "Obviously, there are things that can't be planned. We all know that." Rowan made eye contact with everyone. "Maybe we should hear the whole story before judging too harshly." She gave a quick nod, hoping that she could sound as persuasive as needed. "I'm here, by the way," Rowan turned to Stevie, "because Stacey and I were telling Mae of our own blossoming romance, if we're putting everything out on the table."
STEVIE
Stevie's eyes widened at Stacey's words. Oh. Right. She hated Mae. She did. But she didn't, not exactly. When had that changed? She'd hated Mae for kissing her at that party, for making a mess of everything. But she'd gone along with it, only because it was easier, only because Mae was hot when she shut her mouth. Right? Yeah. She hated Mae. "I was asking a question, Stace, don't take my fucking head off for that." Stevie spat back at her sister. But, when Mae continued to just... throw everything out into the open, Stevie shut her eyes. God. Fucking. Dammit. She didn't want to hear this and she definitely didn't want to hear this with Stacey and Rowan in the room. "For once in your life, will you just stop talking?" Stevie hissed, eyes flicking open to glare at Mae. She didn't want any of this.
Throwing her hands up in the air at Rowan's explanation, Stevie nodded once. "Great. Cool. Awesome. Happy for you two. I think we've said more than enough about what happened, no need to dig into shit and ruin things." She said pointedly. Most of it was directed at Mae but also at herself. She just had to dig into what Mae said, just had to know why she'd said what she did. When it didn't matter. Stevie didn't want a relationship and she didn't want one with Mae. "So if that's settled, I'm just gonna go." She said, jerking her thumb towards the door.
STACEY
Stacey gritted her teeth as she looked back and forth between her sister and Mae. She had never been this angry before in her whole life. But even as she felt Rowan's hand on her shoulder, not even that could calm her down. As Mae told her the date of her and Stevie's first kiss, it didn't take Stacey long to work out the math. "You couldn't even wait two weeks after breaking up with me?" She asked Mae. "I have been torturing myself for months over my feelings for you and then my feelings for Rowan. I have lost so much sleep crying over you. And for what?" Her voice cracked. "Is this why you broke up with me? Did you even care about me at all?"
She rounded back on Stevie now. "You're not going anywhere." Stacey growled out at her sister. No matter what she tried, she couldn't calm herself down. She stared at Stevie for a moment and shook her head. "Is this what's been wrong with you?" She asked. "Not wanting to hang out with me and Sam, not even wanting to talk to us, to look at us. Because you were hiding this?"
MAE
Mae looked over at Rowan as she spoke and smiled softly at her, thankful Rowan wasn’t , s least, being obvious about picking sides. Even though Mae didn’t deserve it, but she was still grateful for Rowan. The smile didn’t last long as Stevie spoke and then Mae looked at her in disbelief. So now it was her fault she was being honest?! What the fuck? “Are you kidding me? You’re such an asshole! I’m not the only one a part of this. But you know what? Fucking leave, then. I’m not surprised you’d throw me under the bus like this. Or that you’d want to leave. I try to see the best you as much as possible and then you do shit like this.” Mae scoffed as she stood up. “We fucked up and YOU’RE the one being defensive? God, this is just like with Sam the other wee—“ Mae stopped talking when she realized she was about to rat Sam out. Granted, Sam had plans of telling Stacey, but still.
Mae felt the guilt settle uneasily in her stomach and Mae shook her head. “Stacey, no, I did like you. But we talked about this. We just jumped into a relationship before we had our feelings figured out. I didn’t even realize I had feelings for Stevie until the actual act of kissing her happened. I...I know I hurt you. A lot. And the last thing I wanted was to only make you hurt more. It just happened. One minute I hated her guts and the next...things made sense. And now they don’t again.” Mae sent a glare to Stevie. Fucking Stevie can’t even come to her side. At least Rowan came to Stacey’s side and tried to comfort her. What the fuck did she get? Nothing. But she wasn’t even surprised. “Look, Stevie and I aren’t doing much of anything anymore. And I don’t even want to. It’s getting to be too much. Too painful. I...Stacey, I meant what I said when I said I want nothing more than to be happy. And I’m happy that you found it with Rowan. I just...wanted to find my own happiness too. I guess I tried looking for it with the wrong person.” Mae glanced at Stevie. “Can you at least try...a little? To understand?” Mae asked, knowing that sounded really wrong but Mae didn’t know how else to word it.
ROWAN
Gosh, this had gone tits up really fast, hadn't it? Rowan frowned, annoyed that things were starting to devolve. Her eyes closed as soon as Mae blurted out Sam's name. Of course Stacey wasn't the first to know about this. Shit. Her heart broke for Mae, for having feelings for someone who it seemed didn't want to return them. At least not yet. Lauding Stevie out for not seeing what a wonderful girl Mae was would have to happen at a later date. But Rowan felt sort of helpless, not wanting to speak for Stacey, to make any gestures that would be agreed on by everyone. "Everyone deserves happiness." She spoke softly, squeezing Stacey's shoulder gently. Stacey was right to feel hurt, of course, but she hoped that she could help settle the escalation.
STEVIE
When Mae dropped Sam's name, Stevie gaped at her. No. God fucking dammit, no! Grimacing, she pointed at Mae. "Stop! Talking! God, don't you realize that you're just making things worse?" Turning her glare at her sister, Stevie sneered, "I don't need to explain myself to you. Newsflash, I don't want to hang out with you guys on a good day. What makes you think this has anything to do with it?" She said. She didn't need them, she knew that. She was just fine on her own.
Stevie refused to look at Mae. She didn't want to talk about this shit. She didn't want to understand. This was Mae's fault. But, when she heard Mae say she didn't even want to have anything to do with her anymore... The pit in her stomach grew. Why though? This was what she wanted. She wanted Mae out of her life. It should have been simple, but it wasn't. Why wasn't it simple? "Try to understand?" Stevie echoed, irritation growing. How could she understand anything Mae said when she couldn't even understand what was going on in her head?
"I don't understand any of this. But, what you’ve said explains so much." Stevie said and laughed, shaking her head. All of the weird shit Mae pulled, trying to see her more often, making up excuses for her to stay. "So okay. I'll own up to it. I fucked up. I should never have let this happen. But, you're the one who kissed me, you're the one who wanted more from me from the start. And yeah, I used you, but you used me too. You knew you wouldn't be happy with me from the very beginning and you're only kidding yourself by saying you looked for it in the wrong person. You say you have feelings for me? Bullshit. You want some make believe version of me." Stevie shoved her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket. The words hurt, but she needed to say it. Why did they hurt? Because Mae didn't deserve it? Because Rowan shouldn't have to see this? Because Stacey didn't need to see this side of her? She couldn't say, but they hurt all the same.
STACEY
Stacey now turned her attention back to Mae. "Did you just say Sam?" She looked from Mae, to Stevie and then to Rowan. And once she saw the look on Rowan's face, she knew that she heard right. "Sam knows?" She almost choked on her words. "I can't believe this." Her emotions were all over the place and she couldn't keep them in check. "If Sam know, who else knows?" She glared at Stevie. "Oh no. But it's okay isn't it? It's okay to tell every single person you know about this secret hook up, because that stupid, dumb child Stacey is never going to figure it out." Throwing her arms up, she looked back and forth between Mae and Stevie. "Is that what you thought? That I'm too much of an idiot to work this out. Because you're right." She gave a sarcastic laugh as a tear rolled down her face.
But then through all her anger and her pent up insecurities, Stacey could feel that hand on her shoulder. That force of Rowan keeping her grounded. She stopped her rant and took a look at the redhead standing beside her. "Everyone deserves happiness" Rowan was right. They both deserved happiness and they had it with each other. So why shouldn't Mae? And why shouldn't her sister? Taking a deep breath, Stacey nodded. "I don't quite understand yet. But I might." And then Stacey took her time to listen to Stevie. To listen to the words she was saying. But it really didn't sound like her, well it didn't sound like how Stacey always imagined Stevie to sound. She was being horrible, selfish, cold. Was that who Stevie really was right now?
Stacey didn't even have to look at Mae to know she'd be hurt. "You know what Stevie. I think you're right. I think you should leave." She didn't expect to be defending Mae right now, but it felt like the right thing to do. "You don't sound like yourself right now." And when she did turn to look at Mae now, she found herself feeling sorry for her, if only a little bit. "But I want you both to know this." She started, deciding not to hold back anymore. "I am not second place to anyone. I am not a consolation prize. I am Stacey fucking Evans, I am a grand prize. And I am ten times the person you both are right now. I am a good person. I'm smart, I'm caring, and I deserve better than this." Stacey took one last look at both of them. "So next time. You tell me about all your bullshit, before I have to find out like this." She took one last breath, then her body pretty much gave out and she leaned against Rowan for support.
MAE
As soon as Mae blurted out Sam's name, she knew she fucked up. Mae watched Stacey crumble at the words and her chest tightened even more. "She did. She...caught us. But I promise you she was going to tell you. She told me that. And I wasn't going to stop her. So please don't be mad at Sam, she was going to do the right thing. Unlike us, she wasn't going to make you feel like you're someone no one can talk to about these things. It's not that, I promise. It's not you. It's the fact that...I'm a coward. I'm not good at talking about myself in a negative light and that I'm doing really bad things and I'm not a good person right now. I'm so sorry, Stacey. I really am. I shouldn't have kept this from you. I should've been honest with you, but...I'm not good with talking about things that are serious. And I should, but...yeah." Mae bit her lip as she looked over at Rowan who seemed to try and mediate the situation and she was never more grateful to have Rowan here. Not just for herself, but Stacey was calmer than she would be if she was in this alone.
And then Stevie talked. And said some incredibly hurtful things. Assuming Mae had created a fake version of Stevie, that she only used Stevie, and that Mae didn't care about her? It hurt and angered Mae because, for the first time, Mae wasn't faking things. Not with Stevie. Mae scoffed. "Make believe version of you?" Mae shook her head. "You're not only a fucking asshole, but a dumbass too. The reason I'm not with you is because YOU can't get out of your own way and YOU don't see past your own bullshit. The signs have been here all along. I like you even though you are an asshole because I still believed fiercely that you are more than that. I've seen it. Because you're the only person that has seen me for more than I let out. You're the only person that has me figured out, do you really think that doesn't mean something to me? It means a whole fucking lot. I like you in spite of your flaws. And you're the first person in my life I can genuinely be myself with. That's why I let this happen. That's why I slept with you and kissed you and...yeah maybe I did play pretend a few things. I pretended that maybe...just maybe you cared when you kissed me longer or stuck around...my mistake." Mae felt her eyes water. "But honestly? Go fuck yourself. And get out." Mae pointed to the door. "You don't deserve how much I care about you and how hopeful I am when it comes to you. But...I still do..."Mae shook her head. "Get out. Please.”
When Stacey came to her defense, Mae was genuinely surprised. As much as she tried defending herself, she didn’t expect Stacey to step up for her. And that’s when Mae knew who was the better person here. Stacey. Mae nodded and smiled softly to Stacey. “I agree 100%. You are the best person I know. Because I don’t deserve your kindness and you’re still giving it to me. That goes to show who’s the better person here.” Mae said softly as she sighed. If she didn’t feel guilty then, she surely felt it now. This whole time, she could have been an adult and talked to Stacey. But she didn’t. And now that Stacey was being the bigger person, Mae realized her mistakes. “I’m sorry.” Mae said again.
ROWAN
Rowan felt an odd burst of pride hearing Stacey and Mae stand up for themselves. It's not that she held any ill will against Stevie, but it was obvious that both of these women had been hurt by her. Her arm wrapped around Stacey as she sagged, her other hand reaching out to rub Mae's arm gently, in support of her. "Maybe..." Rowan took a pause, "maybe we should all just take some time to breathe. This has been quite a day for revelation, and we should all reflect." She pulled phrases from memories of her mother chastising her and Seamus whenever they would fight beyond the point of hope. Stevie had barged in for a reason, but Rowan wondered if maybe she was postponing her departure to speak to Mae alone, though all signs pointed to that not happening. "Do you want us to stay with you?" Rowan quietly asked Mae, trying to still be a friend through all of this.
STEVIE
Stevie's lips curled into a grin, even though it hurt to do. She didn't want to smile and snark her way through this. She didn't want to just push them all way. But she didn't know what else to do. Being a jackass to people, it was what she was best at. It was the only thing she was good at. "Well, congratulations, Stacey. You're the best Evans sister. Call up Sam, I'm sure she'll be proud of you. Dad too, he's always liked you best." Stevie growled.
As she listened to Mae's endless stream of word vomit, Stevie dug her fingernails into the palm of her hand, the gesture hidden in the pocket of her jacket. Mae liked her in spite of her flaws? Bullshit. Stevie was nothing but flaws. Mae didn't know what she was talking about. "The reason you're not with me is because I don't want to be with anyone. Not you, not Teddy, not any of the fucking idiots who fell for some weird ideal of me. But, well done, Mae. Out of this entire time, you've managed to say two correct things. First, yeah. I am a fucking asshole. Second? I'm getting the hell out of here. Don't need to tell me twice."
Stevie turned around yanked the door open. Speaking over her shoulder, she sighed. "Rowan... You didn't need to see this shit." It wasn't an apology. She wasn't going to apologize for any of it. But, that didn't change the fact that she should or that she wanted to. Fuck. Stevie stormed out of the apartment building, slamming the door behind her.
STACEY
As she listened to Mae' s explanation about Sam, Stacey was kicking herself. If she had paid even the slightest bit of attention to both Sam and Mae acting weird recently then maybe she could have figured out something was going on. Then again, she probably would have thought that it was Sam that Mae was hooking up with. She sighed and just nodded at Mae. Sure she was a little bit mad at Sam for not telling her, but she wasn't as mad at her as she was at Stevie. Her sister was saying such mean things, especially the stuff about their family which really hit hard for Stacey. She wanted to yell at her, scream and shout and really let her know how she felt. But she didn't have the energy anymore. So she just watched her sister leave, flinching as the door slammed behind her.
Leaning into Rowan, Stacey closed her eyes and reached up to wipe away any tears that were still on her face. Even though Mae said that she was sorry, Stacey still couldn't accept her apology. Not yet anyway. "I'm sorry my sister is a asshole." She turned to face Mae. "Honestly you deserve better if that's how she treats you." To know that Mae had feelings for Stevie should hurt more, but oddly it didn't. "We can stay if you need us to. It's okay."
Then Stacey turned to Rowan. And even through all of this pain that she was feeling right now, she couldn't help but smile at her. "Thank you." She said and leaned forward to press a kiss to Rowan's forehead. "Thank you for being here for me. And for Mae." Even though what Mae did wasn't exactly great, Stacey wouldn't want Rowan to ruin her friendship with her because of her feelings for Stacey. "You're incredible." She wrapped her arms tight around Rowan.
MAE
Mae let out the heaviest sigh when Stevie left, slamming the door behind her. It didn’t matter what Mae would have said to Stevie, it wouldn’t have ended well. Mae wanted more and Stevie didn’t and that was that. It angered her that Stevie firmly believed Mae couldn’t like Stevie as she was. And Mae didn’t. But the rare parts Mae did get to see? Mae looked to those to know there was more to Stevie. But maybe she was wrong and Stevie was right: there was nothing to like. And despite everything, Mae’s feelings were still there. They wouldn’t leave as much as she wished they would.
As Stacey and Rowan offered to stay with Mae, Mae smiled softly. It was a nice offer—way too kind—but Mae needed to be alone. And she knew Stacey needed to figure things out too. And honestly? Stacey and Rowan’s kindness towards her in spite of what she did was...a lot. Mae smiled softly at the kiss Stacey gave Rowan and shook her head. “Thank you, but...I think I want to be alone. I’ll be okay, though. I promise.” Mae squeezed Rowan’s arm. She didn’t really have it in her to hug anyone right now. “Thank you. For everything. You’re good for her. Really good. You’re gonna be so happy together.” Mae choked up at the last words. Mae was happy for them. Truly, she was. But Mae wished Stevie could do at least an ounce of caring for her. At least a little. “Um...I’ll see you guys around. Okay?” Mae said distractedly, her mind preoccupied with her things as she led Stacey and Rowan out the door. The moment the door closed and she was alone, Mae let herself cry. Something she never prided herself in doing, but, much like everything that happened today, it had grown almost impossible to keep it hidden inside.

What are your top 5 contacts on your phone?
TINA COHEN CHANG: Even though they’re also roommates, Blair and Tina text constantly. When they’re not gossiping about their circle of friends at Acup, they’re talking about some movie or TV show or sending each other memes and pictures of dogs.
THE WARBLETTES GROUP CHAT: Self-explanatory. Blair loves the Warblettes more than anyone else in the world (except Tina) and they’re always sending a cappella covers, snippets of arrangements and geeking out over PTX together.
MADDY REYES: Maddy and Blair’s chat thread could look like one from Better Help or Talkspace rather than two twenty-something girls, but it’s true: Blair relies on Maddy for her 4am phone calls and late night texts when some things are better left unsaid.
ROWAN FLANAGAN: Blair feels the need to mother Rowan as of late, so she’s hovering on extremely annoying in her text messages and Bitmojis of sunshine.
ELLIE GILBERT: They haven’t talked all that much in a while, which should say a lot about how many people Blair texts nowadays, but at one point, she and Ellie were in constant communication. Things are awkward now, but her phone hasn’t received that memo, though, so there Ellie stays.

After All || Racey
who: Rowan and Stacey ( @itsstaceyevans )
when: week of July 29th
what: Stacey agrees to meet Rowan at ACup for an airing of grievances.
Rowan was thankful that Stacey had agreed to meet her, even after everything. It was tough, but Rowan knew (after some pushing from Matt) that this was the right thing to do. It wasn’t fair to keep Stacey wondering about anything, so if she was going to cut things clean, it needed to be sooner rather than later. So she had waited patiently until Stacey was finished with her shift at ACup, sitting at a chair with a coffee cup that had long since been empty.
Stacey couldn't focus. Well, she had been struggling to focus for a while now, but being at work and having Rowan sitting over the other side of the room, she definitely wasn't thinking about coffee right now, her eyes fixed to the clock. Once her shift was finally done she clocked out, right on the minute, and grabbed all her stuff together. Now back into the cafe, she grabbed herself a drink and headed over to where Rowan was sitting. Noisily pulling out the chair opposite her ex, Stacey sat herself down without saying a word.
Rowan looked up at the noise, slightly startled at Stacey's silent approach. "Shi-" She swore softly as she sat up straighter. "So uh, hi." She nodded slowly, fingers fidgeting with the edge of her paper cup. "Thanks for agreeing to meet with me, I know how easy it would have been to say no." She stumbled over her words, any confidence slipping away the more she looked at the blonde in front of her. Rowan thought she had her whole plan mapped out in her brain, what she would say and how she would respond to different responses. "Congrats on your goal Sunday, by the way."
Well at least Rowan was telling some truths right out of the gate, it would have been easy to say no to her. Something that Stacey didn't know she could do. But, she knew that if they didn't have this talk, it would eat away at her for a long time. Better to get it over and done with. She had been looking at Rowan as she spoke, but as her ex mentioned the goal she had scored for the Showers, Stacey looked away. That just bought up bad memories of the time they would spend together before and after Showers games, of seeing Rowan watching her play, wearing her shirt. "Cut the crap Rowan." Stacey said suddenly, her voice slightly hoarse. "What do you want?"
It snapped Rowan out of whatever dream she had had that this was going to be an easy conversation. She had hoped that small talk was still possible between them. Clearing her throat, Rowan looked down at her fingers, knotted together from the stress. "I...I uh. Crap." She didn't know how to start, how to have this conversation. She had agreed with Matt, that this was something she needed to do in person, it wouldn't be sincere over text or phone. "I'm sorry that I didn't have a better reaction to you saying that you loved me." It came out rushed, stuttering over the word "love". "And if you'd give me the time, I'd like to tell you...well I guess everything that was going on on my end?"
After Rowan had finished speaking, Stacey finally lifted her head back up to look at her ex. She was glad that Rowan was now stepping up and deciding to talk about everything, but she knew that this wasn't going to be easy. Nodding her head slowly, Stacey let out a small sigh. "I will give you the time. Because that's what I wanted you to do from the start." Then she frowned. "I just don't understand why you didn't do that in the first place." Stacey always believed herself to be an approachable person, someone that her friends could talk to anytime so it hurt that Rowan didn't talk to her sooner. "But first," She started, leaning forward closer to Rowan. "I didn't tell you I loved you for you to say it back or to persuade you to stay. I needed to say it. I needed to get it off my chest. I just want you to know that."
Rowan shifted in her seat, deeply uncomfortable. It was time that she owned up to her own actions, though. “I wish I could explain what was going through my head, Stace. I just...I thought that it was too much to place on your shoulders. And that ‘me’ issues should be dealt with myself, does that make any bit of sense?” She frowned, wishing she had something to distract herself from the overwhelming guilt. “And I get that. And I appreciate that you still feel like you can be completely honest with me, even if I haven’t always given you that same benefit. And as much as you said you’d give me another chance, I don’t think you should.” Matt’s words of letting Stacey get on with her life came to mind. “I don’t think I’m in the place to be with anyone, not for a good long while.”
"Too much to place on my shoulders?" Stacey retorted almost immediately after Rowan had finished talking. "I might only be 20 but I'm not a child." She leaned back in her chair again and crossed her arms over her chest. Rowan knew how much it annoyed her when people treated her like a child. "I would have wanted you to talk to me about what you're going through. Not as a girlfriend but as a friend. I thought you could trust me." Taking a moment to calm herself down, it did feel to Stacey like her heart was hurting even more than what it had been recently. "I would give you another chance." Her gaze moved back over to Rowan. "Because that's how much I care about you. But if you don't think you should be in a relationship then that's fine. Only you can decide that."
Rowan closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She hated arguing, with every fiber of her being. "I know you're not a child, Stacey, and I didn't mean it in that way. And that's kind of the root of the issue, isn't it? I don't think that I'm doing...any of this right. Like, I feel like I don't have an identity if I'm not attached to someone. It's ridiculous, I know, but I'm working on it." She finally looked at Stacey, making the tiniest bit of eye contact. Sweet, beautiful Stacey. All the fond memories of their relationship were still fresh in her mind, but it hurt to compare them to the girl sitting in front of her now. "God, I hope you'll forgive me, Stace. That's the chance that I want from you."
Stacey sat for a moment as she stared at Rowan, then she slowly shook her head. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to cause an argument." She leaned forward against and rested her arms on the table. "It does sound pretty ridiculous." She gave Rowan a small smile. "But it is something you need to work on. No one should ever have to feel like they're being tied down when they're in a relationship. And as much as it hurts to say, you're doing the right thing by breaking up with me." Stacey tilted her head to the side as she observed Rowan. "I just wish you'd talk to me about it first. That's the only thing I need to forgive you for."
"You have nothing to apologize for, I promise." Rowan gave a weak smile. It really could have been this easy the first time around, she realized. But she had to make it dramatic, including a flight 8 hours away. "Thank you, again. For listening to what I have to say, even if it still doesn't really make sense, not even to myself!" She gave a soft chuckle. "Maybe, someday you'll trust me as a friend? But for right now I think I'll give you plenty of space."
Stacey took another long moment to really look at Rowan, it was always something she find herself doing when they were together and now this was going to be the last time to do so, without looking weird. "I think I'll be able to do that." She replied quickly, looking away before Rowan caught her staring. "But you're right, for now I do need some space. And I appreciate that you're willing to do that."
Feeling the smallest bit of weight lifting from her chest, Rowan was starting to realize that this was how she should have handled everything from the get go. And how she needed to, going forward. "Of course, anything to make sure I don't mess things up any further." She looked around, grateful that things hadn't gotten out of hand. Not that she'd expected it from Stacey, but emotions can do a lot to a person. "So..." Rowan breathed out, a small smile on her face. "I guess I'll see you around?"
"I guess you will." Stacey replied as she nodded. "It's not hard for you to miss me. I am always here." She looked around at the stillness of ACUp, it seemed a lot more peaceful and calm now that the dreaded conversation was over and done with. Stacey stood up slowly and stretched. "Don't be a stranger Rowan." She said to her ex, a grin on her face.

Which ACup individuals have you kissed? Slept with? Do you regret any of those instances?
Matt- Hot as fuck, but that mouth of hers should just stick to sucking clits. Annoying, otherwise. No wonder she’s besties with my sister. Or second wives or whatever. I feel like @notthatharperlee came up with that as a jab to me, but it’s fine. So regrets on Mattie? Every day.
Puck- No regrets on this one, whew. Reminding me why I’m 30, flirty, and thriving.
Serena- Everything is better in threes (wink, wink Blair), so no regrets on that either.
Blair- Me? Trying to sleep with all the Warblettes? Maybe. Again, no regrets. Three is my favorite number.
Rowan- I do have many regrets on the way it was handled, but not the sex itself.

If you were playing spin the bottle with all the ACup ladies, who are your top three picks you would hope the bottle points to?
When spin the bottle was all the rage back in middle school, I never got to experience it because no one invited me to parties lol BUT I would still love a chance to play and I would totally be hoping for Stacey, Sawyer, and Rowan! All cuties.

♬ Full Name: Rowan Ava Flanagan ♪ FC: Madelaine Petsch ♫ Alternate FCs: Katie Stevens, Debby Ryan, Bonnie Wright, Holland Roden ♪ Age/Birthday: 23 / December 4, 1995 ♫ Occupation: Elementary school teacher, member of The Warblettes ♪ Hometown: optimistic, naive, talented, helpful, dedicated ♫ Personality: Galway, Ireland
High school was an exciting time for any teenager, but even more so for Rowan, if you were to ask her. She had begged her parents to enroll her in the Cultural Exchange program for her senior year and they had been happy to oblige. They would be the first to admit that they might have sheltered her a bit growing up, content to let her stay inside and let her imagination run wild. So when Ro was actually excited at the prospect of stepping out of her comfort zone, they had no arguments against it. Before she knew it, she was on a plane to the United States. She didn’t realize that this was going to be a one-way ticket, though.
As soon as she stepped foot on American soil, Rowan was in love. Even if she didn’t understand everything (or everyone) she encountered, it seemed to live up to the photos she had scrolled past every night on the internet. She finished her senior year with her host family the Pierces, and started seriously looking at American schools to attend University at.
New York seemed to call her name, one of the most concentrated areas of all the things she held dear: performance, artistry, and the ability to follow one’s dreams. The next four years flew in a whirlwind, making connections and finding people in the city that she felt like she could trust. Not that everyone was as nice as she had hoped, but she was able to ignore most of the teasing of her accent and mannerisms.
Now, Rowan has seemed to gotten started on her very own American Dream. She has a job she loves, fulfilling hobbies, and a great place to live. The final piece seems to be finding that special somebody to share her life with, but Ro’s not too much in a hurry for that considering her spotted luck in that department. Pets: Rowan doesn’t have ownership of any pets, but that’s not to say that Kate’s cat Twiggy doesn’t spend time cuddling with her too.
♬ Brittany Pierce & Kate Hummel
Roommates and friends. Rowan has known Brittany for years - she was her host sister when she first arrived to America on a school exchange, and they’ve been good friends ever since. Kate and Rowan get along, but being in rival bands can get awkward from time to time, especially when they all happen to be in the apartment at the same time.
♪ Serena Smythe, Rowan Flanagan, Jane Hayward and Jessi St. James:
Fellow Warblettes. Rowan loves all of them, but she’s definitely closest to Blair and Jane. Serena and Jessi tend to intimidate her, even if she knows they’re on her side.
♬ Fiona Hudson and Sam Evans
They work at the school, and Rowan loves both of them. Fiona is almost like an honorary big sister - Rowan wishes she was as easy-going and seemingly effortlessly good with her students as Fiona is - and Sam is the best duet partner a girl could ever ask for.
♪ Sugar Motta
It’s never been more serious than an on-again off-again thing, but even if Rowan knows that’s not what she wants, she just can’t fully quit Sugar. And she thinks Sugar knows, which is... not ideal. But it could be worse, right?
♬ Hunter Clarington
Harper, Hunter’s sister, showed an interest in being an elementary school teacher since she was a young kid, and her high school counselor encourages her to shadow someone at a local school. Rowan lets Harper into her classroom and helps solidify Harper’s choice. Harper comes home that day more excited than ever, and as a result Hunter extends an invite to Rowan to come by the club and refuses to let the girl pay for a single drink. Eventually, they date for a while before Hunter’s difficulty adjusting to monogamy gets in the way. They end things as amicably as they can.
