so much love and light to the growers, april, and all of our incredible volunteers who worked so hard to make this a night to remember for not only our beautiful community at acup, but so many young women who aren’t able to afford a dress to look their absolute best. i’m so lucky to have used operation prom in high school in order to get my dress for prom, and i’m hoping we raise a lot of money for a wonderful cause. <3

ACUP PROM!

Here’s a message from April and the Growers…

Acuppella’s first annual PROM night will take place on Saturday, May 31st. The actual festivities start at 7pm and will go on through the night.

There will be donation booths placed around Acup for prom dresses/formalwear, which will be collected and donated to Operation Prom after the event takes place.

The ladies of the Growers committee will be holding a prom queen nomination! If your character would like to “nominate” themself, please have them submit their best queenly dress or tux to April’s blog by Wednesday, May 29th. The voting period for prom queen will be from Wednesday, May 29th - Friday, May 31st.

If your character is interested in performing during the prom, please have them submit this form to April by Wednesday, May 29th:

Name/Group Name: Type of Performance: (magic tricks? stuffing 50 marshmallows in her mouth? ventriloquism? music?)

April will post the evening’s scheduled events leading up to the prom.

The Growers each have the following tasks and responsibilities if any characters would like to contact them IC regarding their task:

Harmony is the emcee for the evening.

Lacey is in charge of food.

Lola is in charge of the evening’s entertainment.

Rowan is in charge of decorations.

Violet is in charge of advertising the event and the donations.

Dinner is served, catered by several restaurants in the New York City area, curated by Lacey.

8PM - 8:05PM

Mae performs an original song.

8:05PM - 8:15PM

Eva and Jemma play Chubby Bunny. Guests can put a dollar donation amount for every marshmallow that Eva and/or Jemma can put in their mouth. The resulting charity money will go to Operation Prom and an LGBTQ+ homeless shelter.

8:15PM - 8:20PM

Stevie lip syncs to “Don't Leave” by Snakehips & MØ while Pamela Lansbury provides the vocals and instrumental parts.

8:20PM - 8:25PM

Lola and Dani perform “Body Say,” a Dani original.

8:25PM - 8:50PM

Marley performs a set of original songs, including “Safe and Sound”, “Mine”, “Orpheus”, a cover of “I’ll Follow You Into the Dark”, a cover/mashup of “In My Life” and “Here Comes the Sun”, and “Let the Rain”.

8:50PM - 9:00PM

Madison and Mason do their world famous baton twirling routine.

The Warblettes perform.

Pamela Lansbury performs.
