was at the mall today and looked through some comics in a bookstore and they had this '97 Magneto mini (which I was contemplating getting but it doesn't look interesting enough to buy)
but they also had this collection with Arcade-related stories and the excaliblorbos were thereee (didn't get it either but I didn't read that issue so I took some pictures)
aaaaand they had what's probably my favorite X-Force issue in my reading so far which I DID buy because Siryn<3 (she's so small compared to james help)
#yael's x men ramblings#also saw the x-jet lego but. that's expensive as hell#funny thing is tony daniel used to be my brother's favorite comic artist#and i didn't even remember he did the art on that issue#but i think this is the second tony daniel comic in our house and it's mine#right at that bookstore they had the most random issues and trades and several issues in a bag#so i was going through them to pass the time (i was waiting for my mom)#and there was an x-treme x-men issue too but whatever#and then i saw that x-force issue and went. wait. i read that. it was good.#so i got itttttt#it was a bit expensive for a single issue but even though I wouldn't have gotten it in any other situation#i also know with shipping costs and stuff i never would have found it for cheaper#actually let me check.#nvm shipping costs rn to here are awful it's not a good comparison#anyway it wasn't a bad price

Whatâs up with how the dunmeshi fandom just lies about this kind of stuff all the time. It is easily confirmable information that it was a monthly series, something incredibly common in the industry.
A not weekly magazine schedule is literally common !! Especially in the seinen shoujo and josei demographics, sometimes monthly, sometimes biweekly, sometimes every two months, sometimes seasonal! Please stop lying about how Dunmeshi was some special unique creation that defies all standards of manga just to hype it up because it is so clear that every single one of these comparisons is centered around Weekly Shonen Jump (and understand that SJ has many magazines under its brand that are monthly or semimonthly). Not everything is WSJ and it needs to stop being the only point of reference in conversations like this đ€§

Me and the homies I dragged into playing ISAT with me (voice over style) and thus thoroughly infecting them with the ISAT hyperfixation gathered to play poker and so- drew us VAs as the cast give or take some liberties :P
#mirabelle#mirabelle isat#mirabelle chevalier#isabeau#isabeau isat#siffrin#siffrin isat#bonnie#bonnie isat#odile#odile isat#in stars and time#isat#who let a child gamble (these 4 adults)#no money was involved just some very weighty very pretty actual poker chips so that was cool#by 'creative liberties' i mean that me and my friend (we voiced bonnie and odile) were the first ones out (aka why odile is losing)#and i used the time being 'broke' to draw and was deciding between bonnie drawing at the table and odile dealer#or just go with a more in character interpretation of how the two would play poker#you can't see her expression but odile is annoyed she's the first to lose#or on the verge of it#my friend who played isabeau absolutely creamed us and the friend who played siffrin made a chip pyramid#mirabelle is checking because the player for her also played morgan from of the devil so we learnt that check sign :P#also i wanted to draw a serious mirabelle#honestly lowkey (highkey actually) my most favourite part of this is how i drew bonnie's hands#like they're balled fists but also that's just literally a thumb and you'd think it wouldn't work but it DOES and i LOVE IT#kinda like how the actual portraits of bonnie have balled fists but defined fingers regardless but in an original pose :P

Okay! Obviously, I love Wolf 359. The available scripts for Wolf 359 are recording scripts, meaning they're inaccurate in a ton of places when it comes to finalized or improvised dialogue, and don't function well as transcripts (especially since the scripts for the live show and some of the mini episodes were never made available.) That said, I think everyone should read the scripts; the sheer amount of physical description that you can feel in the show, even if you can't see it... I guarantee it will enhance your listening experience. Most visual show to ever be an audio drama. So, in pursuit of both of these goals at once, I went over every word in the scripts, and wrote up new scripts for the unavailable ones. Some of the sound effects described - especially in early episodes - might not line up exactly, because I didn't want to mess with the non-dialogue portion of the show, but I hope this strikes a good balance and can be a useful resource.

this isnât necessarily new, but i think a big problem we are going to have to grapple with is that a lot of young people on both sides of the aisle who truly believe they are well-informed and plugged in simply do not even look at the news unless itâs pushed onto them via social media. that isnât to say any news outlets are perfect (lol) but it does mean that what they know is decided by random people on the internet and a social media algorithmâs idea on what will get the most engagement
either young people need to start actually looking at the news (which is easy! a lot of places have free email subscriptions!) or we need to make tiktoks about the boring policy shit that impacts our lives the most year-round
