i like this new tactic of engaging in tumblr I have going- where i dont come on here much but if i do its only really to post my own thoughts and not consider commentary from others and only ever reblog stuff to hopefully wake up the western leftists that have fallen for the tankie propaganda on here
#cant fw me much when i dont look at shit on here lol#cant influence my thoughts... cant generate outrage for me... bc im not even looking. what will you do now?#also makes it hard for ppl who hate me to sneak their way on my dash to post shit to specifically upset me bc thats a totally normal way#to behave in life. esp about a fucking stranger you dont know at all.#very very normal people on here that definitely dont need therapy fer sherr.#its the parasocial hate about it that bothers me. how you gonna hate me so much it makes you post shit to upset me#actual child behavior#yall are disturbed people and i hope you get better and stop making excuses for a shitty person all the time to keep being shitty 💖#yall are gonna keep trying to find ways to defend their behavior until you end up being on the right istg.

"Jin Ling wasn't abused! Jiang Cheng was the perfect uncle to him, and Jin Ling would never doubt that—"
Hey, quick question: how come Jin Ling hesitates to go to Jiang Cheng during the second siege despite all the other boys immediately and unhesitatingly running to embrace their relatives when the adults arrive?
These cultivators, including Jiang Cheng, all bathed in blood, their faces tired. All of the boys rushed outside the cave, shouting, “Dad!” “Mom!” “Brother!” They were embraced into the crowd. Jin Ling looked left and right, as though he still hadn’t decided yet. Jiang Cheng’s voice was harsh, “Jin Ling, why are you so slow? What are you taking your time for? Do you want to die?!”
—Chapt. 68: Tenderness, exr
#mdzs#canon jiang cheng#a child who had just been kidnapped#and then rescued by the man HE stabbed after being raised with the belief#that said man intentionally murdered his parents#hesitates between running to one of the uncles that raised him#vs. staying at the side of the man he thinks orphaned him#totally the behavior of a child raised in unquestionable love#'jin ling loves jc so jc couldn't have abused him!' yeah well jin ling ends the novel#still loving jgy#and jgy spent his last moments in life ordering his nephew's dog to be killed#admitting that HE is the reason his nephew is an orphan and that he actually doesn't like him#and then almost killing said nephew#so maybe we shouldn't be going for low bars

Oh my god I woke up this morning and my Stardew Valley meta post had almost 150 notes????? Hello?????????? Anyways I started writing this last night because @moon-is-pretty-tonight left nice tags on the original so thank you so much!!
We know from the starting scenes of the game that the farmer's grandfather loved Stardew Valley. So why did he leave? Pelican Town is a good place to grow old; George and Evelyn are just fine. It's a fine place to raise a kid, but maybe he just wanted to raise his child closer to real schools and other children.
Or maybe, just maybe, he understood.
Was there a day when he was in his thirties where he looked at his friends and realized they weren't like him? That he could run faster than them, work longer, explore deeper into the hidden places of the valley?
Was there a day when he went to the wizard to ask him for help, for knowledge if nothing else? Did he learn then that his family was different? Special? Chosen? And how did he react? He couldn't possibly raise a child in the valley if they would be as strange and fey as him. He had to leave. There was no other way.
But years later, on his deathbed, did he regret that choice?
Is that why he gave the farmer the letter?
Is that why they went back home?
When the farmer steps off the bus that first day, the valley is still on the cusp of winter, just barely tipping over into spring. The flowers are starting to bloom, but a chill still hangs in the air. As soon as the farmer's boots touch the soil there's a change. The air gets warmer. The trees get greener. Not by too much, not all at once, but it changes.
The junimos watch the farmer as they do their work. They're new to farming, but take to it with frightening speed; their first batch of crops is perfect. None of the townsfolk tell them that parsnips don't normally grow in less than a week, that cauliflowers don't grow to be ten feet tall, that fairies don't visit when the sun goes down and grow potatoes and beans and tulips overnight. The junimos talk amongst themselves in their strange, wild language, and agree: this is the one. They're back. The valley recognizes its own, even when they've left for a generation. The farmers have come home.
Things change fast in the valley. The community center, empty and decrepit for so many years, is rejuvenated. (Lewis says it was abandoned only a few weeks after the farmer's grandfather left. Strange coincidence, he says, that it both came and went with the farmer's family.) The mines and the quarry, similarly abandoned, are explored for the first time in ages. The town becomes cleaner, brighter, more vibrant, happier.
And it is happier. Not just the environment, but the people. It's the talk of the town for weeks when Haley does her first closet purge. Leah's art show in the town square is a huge success. Shane's smiling for the first time since he moved to the valley. All of them, when asked, say it's all thanks to the farmer.
People love to ask why Lewis didn't fix the community center on his own. Why Willy never repaired the boat to ginger island. Why Abigail or Marlon never went down to fix the elevator in the mines, or why Clint didn't fix the minecarts.
But isn't it so much more interesting to ask how those things were there in the first place? How they got so broken down? If the stories the townspeople tell are true, the valley was once a beautiful place, flourishing and full of life; why did that change? When did it change?
Was it when the farmer's grandfather, the locus of the valley, its chosen representative, left town?
And if so, what happens when the farmer comes back?
#lich says shit#stardew valley#stardew farmer#sdv#my writing#Hope y'all enjoyed!#I'm thinking about developing this into. Like. An actual Fan Fiction. Still sort of short-form but like with more detail?#LMK if you'd be interested to see that! Also if you want to be tagged in future installations of this please just let me know :)#I'm super into this version of the farmer as like. Blessed and cryptic child of the valley with all the strange behavior that entails#If i DO write a more in-depth version of this it'll be from the perspective of someone in town#maybe Leah? She seems like she'd be the one to notice the farmer being Odd. Either that or I'll do it from the perspective of multiple--#--different people to get their unique insights and stuff#I'd also want to dig into like#The family history of the farmer. And what that's like.#Because like why did grandpa leave?#He clearly loved the valley#So why didn't he stay?#Why did he give the deed to his grandchild and not his literal child?#And is it a coincidence that everything in the valley went downhill when he left?#I don't think so.

Yes yes the new Rhaegar x Lyanna x Arthur x Ashara art piece is not official art, it is just commissioned art by Elio and Linda, who qualified it as a "headcanon" so technically speaking yes, the scene depicted is nothing more than a "fan theory"! Congratulations and thank you for reminding us, it is always important to have our facts straight. However, if Elio and Linda had commissionned art about your irrelevant dead ladies (not Lyanna cause you dgaf about her) knitting together/dancing at the club you would be losing your shit like that's sO canon u guyz, what about the artistic visionn, the vibes, we!stay!winning! Even better, if the commissioned art portrayed Rhaegar as you guys headcanon him, you would be rubbing your hands with glee right now as we speak. Alas, that was not what the commissioned art was about so you now suddenly remembered the existence of the "fan theory" concept, which is hilarious considering some of y'all have been implicitly or explicitly presenting your fan theories as canon for years, with tremendous success, I will admit. I guess it is a harsh realization that outside this small tumblr bubble nobody really gives a fuck about those theories because HEADcanon or not, this commissioned UNofficial art still has infinitely more textual basis in canon and more probability to become actual canon than literally 99,9% of the stuff you guys say 24/7 :/ But do your thing ig
#u guys just can't cope with the fact that rhaegar and lyanna are a canonical consensual romance and you are seething for years over it#it must truly be so tiring for y'all#this canon has been established since agot btw and agot was published in 1996#that's 28 years#truly embarrassing#how long is it gonna take for you to face reality#actual angry child stomping their foot on their ground behavior#rhaegar targaryen#lyanna stark#aspa rambles#rant

It's really tiring to see, when people are having discussions about Nettles and how integral her plot is, about how wrong with would be to give Rhaena that plot while ignoring/diminishing the one she originally had, about so many of the black characters are done dirty and disrespected in comparison to their treatment in the book (though they were white in the original text) to have all these necessary conversations, only to be met with responses "Oh, It's not bad/serious, you're just complaining/making things up" or about how grateful we should be to just have these characters, as we if don't have the right to critique how they are portrayed. Like, at this point, if you don't have anything of value to add to the conversation, then just stay out of it.
#house of the dragon#hotd#hotd critical#rhaena targaryen#baela targaryen#laena velaryon#nettles#laenor velaryon#like some of yall will be quick to want to erase the yte characters worst traits at the expense of the black characters#and even so the yte characters could still already be portrayed as bad or morally questionable and show that they get worse#but yet still some of yall would rather erase an existing black character(s) then have that outcome#“rhae behavior toward nettles makes no sense showwise she would never harm another women” (based on actually convos ive seen bc rhae is#the resident “girlboss” in their mind#but completely ignoring how rhae slept with her uncle at the funeral of his dead wife and unborn child while simultaneously dipping on thei#kids----idk but that already seems flawed for a girlboss but bc it happened to a black female character---#like you can have your characters (yte in this case) be flawed without it being at the expense of black & brown characters#then disrespecting nettles and ignoring her impact---yall just say you don't want her around & go rather then create bs think pieces#anti blackness

Imagine being 9 years old and asking your dad about the things you're interested in doing when you grow up and he's like "No ❤️! But you can get married, have babies, and then maybe your sons can do those things ☺️🫶 "
#arya stark#one of those /wtf Ned/ moments#then people act like she invented misogyny cause she was like /uuuhhhhh no thanks that's not me/#/Arya is masculine/ and she's literally just a child who has interests outside of her patriarchy-assigned role#the way people read this and then demonize Arya for not silently conforming like people expect her to...#that's the ingrained misogyny from being socialized in a patriarchal society speaking babes 😭#cannot stress enough how Arya is just an average little girl and what makes her behavior stand out is their society's strict gender norms#her life + learning almost entirely revolves around the fact that she is being raised to be a wife and people resent her for wanting more :#she is NINE in AGoT and her parents are discussing her refinement because /In a few years she will be of an age to marry/#the way misogyny is explored in Arya's story is actually so brilliant and well-written (+ underappreciated) though#we feel the full weight of how restrictive their society is through her POV and get the experiences of lower-class women too#which is why it's so significant that George wrote her based on feminists who realized they wanted more than becoming wives/housewives#she's one of his key characters who will /change the world/ but people think he's sticking her on a boat bc she isn't feminine enough 😭#thank god he's writing the books and not any of these reductive hacks who thinks misogyny is subversive 🙏🏾#sidenote: would've loved to see this from her POV to get her feelings when he said this cause I'm sure it doesn't match Ned's perception#considering he views her main issues as being stubborn/difficult while we know about the self-esteem issues she has

Misbehavior is not a reflection of merit Misbehavior is not a reflection of character Misbehavior is not a reflection of intelligence Misbehavior is not a reflection of work ethic Misbehavior is not a reflection of morals or values
Misbehavior is a reflection of well-being Misbehavior is a reflection of environment Misbehavior is a reflection of power dynamics Misbehavior is a reflection of support systems Misbehavior is a reflection of how someone is treated
“Bad” kids don’t misbehave hurting kids misbehave traumatized kids misbehave abused kids misbehave neglected kids misbehave scared kids misbehave lonely kids misbehave grieving kids misbehave stressed kids misbehave overwhelmed kids misbehave burnt-out kids misbehave
Its not a “tantrum” or a “fit” or a “bad kid” with “unacceptable behavior,” it’s a cry for help
When kids misbehave, stop “punishing” and “disciplining” and “reprimanding” them
When kids misbehave for the love of god just help them
And P.S. this basically applies to adults as well

Just thought of the cutest little scene.
Draxum: 'cooking with baby Galois sitting on the counter giving him commentary'
Baby Gale: 'throws kitchen utensil on the floor'
Draxum: "Testing gravity, incredible! You have the makings of a great scientist already!"
Baby Gale: 'babbles'
#sometimes when angel drops stuff i say he's making sure gravity still works#it's a good thing gale isn't predisposed to brat behavior because he would have been SO spoiled#like huginn and muninn are this child's bitches they get him whatever he wants and draxum's fury upon them if they make him cry#but they're cool with that they love being nannies#they 100% take embarrassing pictures of draxum dadding#they say it's for blackmail but they never get around to the actual blackmail part#rottmnt#donatello hamato#baron draxum

Sorry. Thinking about Toga's accidental autism again
She is a classic case of character that acts weird because they weren't socialized properly/had a fucked up childhood but whoops you just made them autistic.
She struggles to understand the difference between platonic and romantic attraction/affection and thinks being fond of/attracted to someone means she has to not only be like them but become them in a literal sense
Learns via mimicry hence the above points and her particular fixation with Ochako and Izuku since they're some of the few people her age she's seen show signs of unconditional kindness with their friends
Wore a 'mask' trying to conform to the behavioral expectations of her peers and parents and was miserable until she couldn't keep going
Goal is to make the world an easier place for her to live and be herself
As a little kid she bit herself to drink her own blood (reads as unsafe stimming to me ngl)
Shes seen more than once shaking her hands when excited (also stimming)
Got called demonic and inhuman as a little kid due to her unusual behavior (honestly reminiscent of how autistic/disabled kids would be accused of being changelings and stuff for their 'unnatural' way of being and unfortunately this is still a sentiment some hold even now)
Immediately written off for her behavior, never had why it wasn't okay fully explained and was never given a chance
Nonexistent emotional regulation due to the above point. Hence why atp she embraces inflicting pain because she was never taught how to use her quirk in a controlled environment or safe way
Quite literally autistic child failed by the system (quirk counseling or whatever)
Toga is a weird girl among weird girls, a little freak I hold dear in my heart..
#i adore her..#she'd be harder to love if we actually like saw her previous victims/lasting effect of her#crimes but we dont so they dont rlly hold much weight#she deserved better...#i mean a life in prison isnt really a life at all especially not for a literal child but yk#mha#bnha#toga himiko#autism headcanon#or coding. unintentionally#idk its me drawing my own conclusions on how her brain is based off her behavior and past#moth.txt#sleep deprived due to stress heres to distraction 🙏🙏#autistic toga

i think in like 5-10 years post-canon kusuke is gonna be super chill and well-adjusted. he strikes me as the type of guy who seems really cool but then will casually mention some absolutely unhinged shit he did as a teenager
#the disastrous life of saiki k.#saiki kusuo no psi nan#saiki k#saiki kusuke#hes a really shitty brother but i dont think hes irredeemable#he just has an awful case of ''child who was allowed to get away with everything growing up''#mixed with the affliction known as ''being a teenager''#i think he needs a parental figure who will actually confront him about his behavior#also sidenote: i feel like ive made this exact post before#but it mightve been when i was high and thus i probably never posted it

Ever think about how the cruelty with which Madam Yu whips Wei Wuxian under Wang Lingjiao's instigation is paralleled in how Jiang Cheng whips his Wei Wuxian-proxies when he's angry?
However, pain suddenly shot out from his back. His knees couldn’t help but buckle. Madam Yu had suddenly stricken him with her whip. .. Madam Yu lashed out her whip again, forcing him back onto the ground. She ground her teeth together, “... I’ve said long ago, that you... you unruly thing! Would bring trouble to the Jiang Sect, sooner or later!” Wei WuXian pushed Jiang Cheng away. He clenched his teeth as he suffered, unspeaking and unmoving. In the past, although Madam Yu had always come at him with harsh words, she had never truly been cruel to him. The most that he’d been through were two or three strikes and being grounded. He’d also be let out by Jiang FengMian soon later. This time, however, he endured dozens of heavy strikes. His back burned and his entire body was numb with pain. He couldn’t bear it, but he had to bear it. Today, if the punishment didn’t satisfy Wang LingJiao, the matter at hand would never end!
—Chapt. 57: Poisons, exr
The owner, “I haven’t been there myself, but I know someone who went because his house was being badly haunted. But it was all bad luck. That Sect Leader Jiang was cracking a glowing whip right on the training field. The victim’s flesh and blood flew as high as his screams! A servant secretly informed him that the sect leader caught the wrong person again, that he hadn’t been in a great mood, and that he definitely shouldn’t be irritated in any way. He was so scared that he dropped off the gifts he brought and fled at once. He never dared visit again.”
—Chapt. 92: Longing, exr
#mdzs#canon jiang cheng#a lot of jc's behavior is actually an escalation of madam yu's worst behaviors#same way how in a lot of ways jc treats jl worse than madam yu treated *him* as a child#there is a reason why that chapter is called 'sandu'

i think i'd like (Undertale) Asgore a lot more if he showed sincere like... idk how to put it. regret isn't right, bc he does show regret, he won't shut up about it, but he never seems to show any like. rethinking as a result? like he sticks with his horrible Painfully Slow Murders Of Lost Children plan instead of any alternative (if you don't mind slow let them live out their lives. if you don't mind killing go get souls yourself) and then when frisk frees everyone he just kind of is like "well that worked out". like there's him like rescinding the apology for trying to kill frisk which I'll be honest never lands for me as a joke, because it really feels like as soon as things were solved he just went "well I didnt kill them so it's fine" and that was it.
it seems like he feels real bad about the pain it caused him to do it and the rift it created between him and Toriel, but he doesn't seem to ever consider the children, or to consider himself a murderer. it's about his own relationship to it and how it hurts him and anything beyond that gets disregarded.
flowey may not be able to feel bad as such, but he owns up to what he's done and shows that he doesn't want to do it again, y'know? asgore, though, I feel like would do the same again if in the same situation, still feeling very sorry about it but still... doing it. he's shown no real Change.
this isn't like. me Hating him. like all the ut characters he's interesting and nuanced and often very funny. i just think he kind of sucks in some ways he's not addressing
#deltarune asgore too can Feel Very Bad about how things went without ever actually changing the behaviors#but my dislike there is more personal#child death mention

a book with geralt 😃
a book with geralt without ciri 😐
a book with geralt without yennefer 😔
a book with geralt without dandelion 💀
#he is going to be going THROUGH IT#he is going to get up to some absolutely poetless behavior#and by that i’m expecting at least one suicide attempt from him#maybe it’s just me and my ‘suffered socially in middle school’ type of memories#but being alone is so soooo painful and going back to that geralt before his best friend and his wife and his child is going to be like#remember when geralt didn’t have much reason to live remember that time in his life#geralt as a near-middle age adult: oh my god this guy is so sad#geralt as a young adult: 😶💀 [speechless at the suffering]#unless dandelion does show up in this somehow but that would pose more logistical questions#imagine we see posada and they meet then and it’s revealed that edge of the world actually takes place with them like 19 and 26 or some#unexpected consideration like… reading eotw back i’m going to be like wait… how old WERE you two here how long ago WAS this#because characters unlike people are immortal because they are ideas#so when you imagine geralt and dandelion even ‘a long time ago’ i just imagine them slightly younger#whatever is done dandelion’s age will never make sense because count 38 and subtract 15. this is his age when ciri was born.#and yet he is hanging out with geralt here in his 30s because friendship is so eternal it slipped the author’s mind to change them#unlike in-universe netwitcher headcanons about jaskier being immortal i believe dandelion is immortal in a meta sense of his presence is so#necessary for geralt’s character that despite logic he must be there for him in the same form no matter the circumstances#geralt and dandelion meeting as young men: [each thinking to himself] ‘huh this guy is stupid and looks gay’#and then an epic best friendship was formed forever. i love you ❤️#the elbow-high diaries
