though this would mess with Scratch's white text outside of a pesterlog

That would have been a neat trick to make the colors pop a bit more when showing things that are almost all grey, like the first page with Alternia. I do agree that it would have been an issue with Scratch's text but there is always some work around. Hell we used to have to highlight the box to see his stupid ass white text (hurt my eyes but I actually enjoyed it lol). Plus Scratch would have known he was being read/watched/seen and adjusted for the audience accordingly as he is an excellent host.
