bothers me very much when people use Ted getting upset telling the denver broncos story as like evidence that he could be queer instead of thinking about an old friend drowning in loneliness and saying to himself “i should’ve been there i should’ve supported him” is him reflecting on his traumas, as if this is not a man who heard his dad kill himself at age 16 and carries that guilt wherever he goes. he tells EVERYONE he loves that he supports them no matter what the struggle is and colin’s struggle was internal and invisible, WHICH SCARES HIM. he’s terrified by invisible struggle and he always has been BECAUSE of that childhood trauma. so TO ME…… it reads very media illiterate to take it that way, because Ted didn’t have some tender gay experience with his denver broncos friend in the 90s, he’s haunted by knowing there was someone he loved who went through something alone (even if it was silly and minor like watching the Super Bowl alone) and doesn’t want anyone to ever feel like that again, (especially if it’s something as big as being one of two gay men in a room in an industry that hates them) let alone one of his players on the team that he has worked so hard to turn into a family!!!!!!!!!! damn!!!!!

More or less everything is fine, if we don't count that I became the news of the summer (the AO3 curse is real), so I was drugged and was completely out for like 13 hours LOL.

I now have 15 days before my next little vacation, and today I'm feeling super inspired, so I think I'll write both the last chapter of Huits and the first chapter of the sequel.

ah. got to hiiragi mix 3 and uhhhh yeah I am not the most sold on this ship in this form. I guess it would be predictable if they were two friends who realize they gradually moved into love, and them being kind acrazy about each other is kinda cool, but right now I barely know these characters -- their dynamic is "hiiragi is a shouty tsundere and shizusumi is the -_- face guy", so when the author suddenly does A Twist! hiiragi is a sensitive crybaby and shizusumi is super intense Everything At Once about him is like... okay, but I liked these characters in their initial form, so what's up with that? I don't care for, or about, Suddenly Different Hiishizu. I also don't really get why does hiiragi get a whole... almost two volumes? for himself, like I guess the given guys appear too but the chapters are named "hiiragi mix" so. idk man I'm not the most convinced shrimp in the sea tbh
