📢  Announcements (Click this link to read important information related to the Simming community & CC, & also things pertaining to my own blogs. Updated February 2024) ✨ Very WCIF Friendly! I will even try to help you find items I haven’t posted in my own pix, if you’re in need of help.

✨ My CC Lamps: I have an issue with my vertex paintbrush, which tells an object where to illuminate and where to have no light. My lamp CC looks best in game when the brightness is turned down on the lamp. Also, until I figure this out, anyone is welcome to add vertex paint to any of them, I would update the file and put a credit in the file and posts. ✨ ACNH Bed Conversions: People asked me if I could make these functional, & I tried. The meshes for these items do not allow them to work with the animations in TS4 properly. They are made with the BG cot as the base item, and the Sims will sleep on top of them, but not under a blanket (with the exception of a couple of them where I could use the EA mattress without taking away too much from the look of the item it is supposed to be).

I do not use DX11 with my game. If you are using DX11, run the DX11 batch fix with Sims 4 Studio before starting your game. For those that have never done it, do not fear for it is very simple and will update any CC in your mods folder that needed it. I know the new DX11 API causes issues having something to do with the wall items, that I know of. If you do not have Sims 4 Studio, here is a link about how to install it from their official website. And of course, if you need help please send me a message.

✨ I remove my timezone reblogs after approximately 24 hours, in order to keep my Tumblr neat, to allow easy CC shopping for the people who like to scroll. All original CC posts stay put. (see bottom of this post for links to other kinds of posts). Continuous scrolling is turned off, so if anyone is going back chronologically, they can note where they left off if they take a break, as I like to do myself when perusing a creator’s catalogue who has made lots of CC.

ACNH Dream Tour #5

The next dream town I visited was Shi Isle. This island was AMAZING!! It was a Japanese theme and there was so much stuff all over the island. My game actually had a bit of trouble loading everything so it ran a little slow. But it was worth it going through it and looking at every area. Definitely recommend visiting.

Lol. Their flag was a weiner. So cute.

Look at how detailed this area is. It’s an entrance from the beach. The paths go so well with it.

Off to the right on the beach was a little fishing spot complete with a kitchen to cook and eat.

Another part of the beach looked like axe throwing...looks like fun actually. Dangerous, but fun.

The campsite was in a little nook with its little living space and pink flowers.

There was a very pretty little picnic area right above where the campsite was.

Look at this! It’s like a downtown area with bridges. It’s beautiful.

The mushrooms here add so much to this small area and with the small greenhouse, very nice.

Here was a small farming area.

The entrance to the Museum had a bunch of bamboo trees and a rock garden.

This looked like a bar of some sort.

I think this is a blacksmith place.

All the villager houses were up at the top of the island and each had their own yard that went with the theme.

Found the island representative. She said she did it for Apple...I think she means the villager, but he is not on the island.

I found a gong!! 

This area was pretty neat. A simple area but it works.

A Zen Garden!!

A relaxing spa area.

It’s those little coal monsters from Spirited Away. Cute!

I found the main house. It was very nicely decorated.

The living room had a nice seating area.

The room to the left had a writing table and a Katana. It had to be a special room.

So pretty! The back room had a throne. The petals were a nice touch.

The room to the right was a bathroom. Love the whirlpool bath was very pretty.

Upstairs was the bedroom. The red colors go so well with the imperial set.

The basement was a surprise. It was very colorful and bright. It must be the creators personal space.

Back outside, I found an orchard. Honestly almost missed it because it blended in seamlessly.

I found what I think is a bus station.

Made it to the entrance to the island and what an entrance it is. A river and a diagonal bridge? Nice! I love the alternating paths.

This looks like an office. Might be who was in charge of the train and bus.

And there is a train station. Waiting to be picked up!

And that’s it for this island. It is so well done and everything fits seamlessly. Nothing is out of place. Words can’t describe how beautiful it is. Just wow. The creator put in a lot of time into this and it shows. Love it.

ACNH DIRECT RECAP 2/20/2020

There was an animal crossing: new horizons direct today! Here’s the biggest hits from it! Also, this post is very, very long and very in-depth (i spent well over an hour on it) so there is a cut in the beginning to save your dashboard!

First of all, you can pick your island (and further customise the terrain but I’ll get to that later)

And you can pick the northern or southern hemisphere! You’ll be able to experience all four seasons regardless of your pick!

You start off with two villagers! You then get an orientation from Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy!

You can pick where your villagers live!!! You can also see the borders of how much space the tents will take up.

BTW we’re only four minutes in to a 27 minute presentation so click the “keep reading”  to see the whole recap!

Facilities

The plaza (the leaf on the map) has Resident Services, which is run by the nooks to provide, well, basic services. They sell tools, flowers, and medicine for wasps! There’s also a crafting table to make more stuff! And it’s open 24/7!!!

Crafting works by learning the recipe, and then gathering the crafting supplies to make it! You just make it at the crafting bench in the top right corner.

You can customize furniture really easily in this game! And, Custom Designs Are Back! (more on that later)

The Airport! It’s also open 24/7 and you can travel to other islands and send letter to your residents here! Also it’s run by the cutest dodo bird

You can have 8 people on one island!

Nook Inc. Special Services

The Nook Mileage Program is a lot like MEOW Coupons from acnl! Do some tasks to earn miles, to then get rewards! They’re also used to pay off the Getaway Package cost! (yall gonna need 5,000 miles for that btw)

We’ve got tool rings y’all!!!

Wasps, scorpions, and tarantulas are back y’all! Ya know how when you got bit by a tarantula or stung by a scorpion in new leaf you’d just pass out? Well wasps can do that now so #YouCanDieInACNH kldkfjdlfjfhjdffj

These aren’t here for any particular reason, I just thought the mushroom lights were pretty

My boy Wisp is back! It looks like you can collect ghosts in this game (which you could do in older games as a friend informed me)

Get those snazzy houses! It appears you can have 4 rooms in your house (the main room, one to the left, right, and back)

You can use Nook Miles Tickets to go on Island Tours! You can do things like the acnl island tours, along with picking up some animal friends! There’s multiple islands and it seems to be random every time.

Apparently you can jump over small rivers to escape the tarantulas and scorpions fvbvsjfbvjlsfbvhj

Party Play lets you call residents who live on the same island as you for some local co-op!

Creatures found by the people you’re playing with are stored in the recycle box at resident services!

The Nintendo App finally has a gosh damn use! You can scan qr codes from happy home designer and new leaf! As well as talk to the people you’re playing with!

Part 2 of the Presentation 

Ya’ll you can decide where your new residents will live before-hand! You can invite some residents to live on your island as well!

More Facilities!!! The facilities shown in the direct were: the museum, nook’s cranny, able sisters, the campsite

You can move your house AND the shops and facilities once they’re built it seems!

Town services is supposed to expand into a town hall and ya’ll know what that means!!

ISABELLE!!!

Some other fan favorites will also be visiting the island! These include: Label, Harvey, Celeste, Saharah, Daisy Mae (more on her in a bit), and Kicks!

Celeste can give you a magic wand that lets you select outfits!

Daisy Mae is a new NPC who sells turnips! I speculate she’s the child of Joan, but we don’t know yet.

Fishing Tourneys and Bug Offs are now hosted by CJ and Flick! Flick is my entire aesthetic I love him!!

Free updates are coming with seasonal festivities! My main man Jack is back yall!

Island Customization is expansive! Rip homebrew bc there is no need anymore! We have easy paths, bridges, ramps, river customization, cliff customization, AND you can make your own damn waterfalls! (i’d recommend watching the direct starting at 20:49 to fully grasp this bc it’s a lot)

1. Up to 8 people can share an island on the same switch system 2. Animal Crossing Amiibo figures and cards are supported! They mentioned add availability to more Amiibos, so maybe the loz and splatoon ones will be added! 3. No more griefing! Only your best friends can use certain tools while visiting your island!  4. Multiplayer sessions appear to each have their own code! 5. Save backups via the Nintendo Cloud thing aren’t supported. Watch at 25:34 for more information! 6. Pocket camp players can get ACNH themed items! Follow the pocket camp twitter for more info!

I wish Mushroom Season would be through all of Fall, like how Summer Shell Season is

🍒 ACNH Diary Challenge 💀

 ★ Island Name : Ghoul Isle 

★ Method of documentation : Screenshots and occasionally videos of my island progress and possibly villagers 

★ When I start : As soon as the game releases and I choose my island I’ll show some basics of my island like my starting villagers, fruit, and layout. After the first week of playing I’ll switch to posting weekly or bi-weekly (Most likely on Saturdays)

I'm brainstorming stuff about my island for ACNH: names, visual themes, inspirations, etc. If I was the sort of person to make moodboards or use Pinterest, this would be a good reason to.

As usual, my character's name will be some variant of my irl name or main online alias. That much won't change.

I'm just spitballing here, thinking aloud, whatever. I'd like to go for things that aren't too common (so like, constellations outside the 12 zodiac ones), but I'm not strict about it. I also don't know what the name's character limit will be, so some of these won't even be allowed anyway. Bolded are the ones I'm leaning towards.

Deities: Terpsichore (I like all the Muses in Greek myth)

Space-faring town (with a focus more on astronomy than astrology; use Julian's astro items from ACPC as inspo)

Big city! (SF or whatever, with many hills and diff styled neighborhoods)

Naturally, I'll be using a name/theme appropriate to each other. A big city won't be Calypso, and a quiet forest isn't going to be Tungsten -- that sort of thing.

Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Get Every Mario Item in the New Update

Animal Crossing‘s long-awaited 1.8.0 update is finally here. More importantly, a collection of new Super Mario-themed items is finally here, which means that we’re this much closer to one day being able to turn our islands into the ultimate museum for everything Nintendo.

Well…kind of. It turns out that Nintendo decided to release the base update for the game ahead of the debut of the Super Mario items. While that’s kind of a bummer, it does mean that you have a little more time to earn those extra bells, clear some space, and figure out where you’re going to put all of those new items that will surely bring out the best of New Horizons‘ most creative decorators.

Here’s what else you need to know about Animal Crossing‘s Super Mario update:

How to Download Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.8.0 Update

If you’ve set your Nintendo Switch to automatically update Animal Crossing: New Horizons (and other games) then the 1.8.0 update will start downloading as soon as you turn on your Switch.

If you prefer to handle your game updates manually, you can select the “+” icon on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons menu and then select “Software Update.” Choose the “Via the Internet” option, and your Switch should soon discover the latest update (assuming that you’re actually connected to the internet).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.8.0 Update Patch Notes

The latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons update isn’t the most extensive in terms of technical updates and visual improvements, but it does feature a couple of minor alterations that should hopefully make things a little easier.

Collaboration items have been added to match the “35th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros.”

In addition, we have made adjustments and fixed bugs so that you can play the game comfortably.

That may not seem like a lot of new items, but one thing you should keep in mind is that many of the Mario items enable special interactions. For instance, the Warp Pipe allows you to create shortcuts across your island. You can even use the blocks and flag poles to create a custom Mario course (with some limitations, of course).

How to Get Mario Items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.8.0 Update

So, the bad news is that the Super Mario items aren’t actually unlocked in Animal Crossing until March 1st.

Once the items are available, though, then you shouldn’t have much trouble finding them. You’ll just need to open the Nook Shopping App and purchase the vast majority of them from the “Promotion” tab. Their individual prices range from about 350 to 12,000 bells, but if you’ve stuck with Animal Crossing: New Horizons over all the recent updates, then you’ll likely have enough bells to get most of them fairly quickly.

Oh, and you’ll actually receive the Mushroom Mural wallpaper for free simply by downloading the update. Just check your mail after the update download is finished, and you should find the wallpaper waiting for you as a gift.
