playing animal crossing new leaf as someone who most recently played city folk and hmm. i miss when blathers would rattle off facts about donations when you gave them to him instead of just saying it reminds him of when he was a child. every single time.

Hope has had a very busy first week on the island of Melve

The days are long, so she found herself sith more time then she ever imagined having. She'd spend most of it fishing, relishing in the nothing sound of the sea and the snow. It was very cold on the island. Eventually, she brought enough fish to Mr. Nook that he invited his Owlish friend over to start a museum. When the cold becomes too much Hope finds herself wandering the halls of the building watching the fish and wondering.

She also helped the young Nook twins open up their first shop on the island, it was only right after they helped her turn her tent into a home is just one day. She often brings them cherries both to sell and as a snack to the hard working boys.

Finally, Hope herself built a bridge connecting the main part of the island with the right chunk. Opening up more room for her soon to be neighbors moving in during the up and coming week. She has found Kevin bolting across the bridge and she worries if it is truly strong enough to hold more than one person at a time. She'll have to talk with Mr. Nook about getting a sturdier bridge set up.

As Hope started to fall asleep for the night she kept thinking the waves sounded... different. Almost as if they washed something large ashore. Perhaps it was that Gulliver fellow again?

Was making some animal crossing OCs based on the fact that tangy has 5 siblings... Turned out another fruit-themed villager also has 5 siblings! Neat coincidence but also I have a new head canon that they're siblings.

i've seen quitee a few different posts talking abt nice games for regressors but i noticed a lot of them focus on phone games, so i thought i'd to compile a list of my absolute favorite nostalgic ds games bc i (and headmates) like to play those when regressed!!

♡ animal crossing: wild world - if you like playing acnh on switch, consider giving wild world a try! it's a lot more simplistic than new horizons but it's very cozy and the core gameplay is still the same (fishing, catching bugs, talking to villagers, etc.)

☆ nintendogs - who doesn't love nintendogs!! you get to adopt a puppy and take care of them, play with them, enter them in competitions, and so on! being able to pet and brush your doggies with a touchscreen makes it even better.

♡ petz nursery - another pet-themed game, this time you get to take care of a variety of little baby animals! there's lots of little minigames for feeding, cleaning, and playing with them. i find the low-poly newborn puppies and kittens very endearing.

☆ mysims - a very cute little game that has little to do with the main sims games but is fun nonetheless. you play minigames and explore and interact with tourists in a vacation town!

♡ pokemon mystery dungeon: explorers of sky - a spin-off of the mainline pokemon games where you play as a human-turned-pokemon and explore dungeons with a team of other pokemon! it's a little more complex than some of these other games but it has a really good storyline!

☆ cookie shop - a game about running a desert cafe!! you play as a little dog (chocodog) named rose and grow your shop and collect recipes. soso cute

♡ professor layton and the curious village - my headmate would be mad if i didn't include a professor layton game so here's the first one! a silly little game where you investigate a town and solve various puzzles!

☆ the legendary starfy - a game similar to kirby but with underwater sections. it's very cute and i would recommend it if you enjoy platformers or sea-themed things!

God where do I begin, let me make a note check here of what I like after almost 10h of playing it yesterday:

The characters! I just really love how they're all so charming in different ways and each of the bachelor/ettes are so adorable personality-wise that even if I didn't have March as my first pick I would've probably gone for the other characters (Ryis and the twins are soooo nice too!)

The dragon is also romancable. My monster lover self could not be more happier with that fact.

You can pet your neighbors pets and befriend them. I'm becoming besties with my neighbors chicken moreso than with him.

The skill system! I actually like that you get pretty darn cool passive abilities with a pretty small amount of mana costing at the start! (especially the farmer and archeological ones I like)

The history!!! There was a Witch Queen living in that region!!! I must know more!!!! I must collect more artifacts to find out the history of that town.

YOU CAN DIVE IN WATER IN THE GAME. It's not just fishing involved but you can also jump (you can jump!!!!) into the water and pickup stuff. It's giving my ACNH heart a nice feeling.

The fact that each character you can interact with always needs some sort of help from the bulletin board is just!!! It's fun interacting with them! They give you random items too! (the NPCs kept giving me seeds because Adeline paid them with it which I find hilarious)

Anyway uh that's it for now. I'm really liking this game.
