This post is about a series I love so much: The Good Witch of the West

I read this several years ago after checking the first volume from a library and I was amazed at what I read.

This story seemingly takes place in a fictional European country.

It tells of how the main character is actually the daughter of a lost princess, which makes her a candidate to become queen. Now she has deal with many challenges, all the while protecting the one she loves.

The main character, Firiel is seemingly naive, but she also has a strong personality.

She is alot like her mother, who was also has a strong personality.

There are many elements I like, such as the history repeating itself.

Another element, is the forbidden love. I love that element and it’s awesome how its in the story.

That along with history repeating itself makes this story really interesting.

The art, its GORGEOUS!

And there’s some symbolism, which fits the story.

And the mythology. Noriko Ogiwara incorporated several mythological figures into the story, which fits with the western style story. One of the figures is prominent to the story, the goddess of stars and justice, Astraea.

It’s really a great series. I highly recommend for everyone to read it.
