Dream Team Making it all  Happen at Pebble Beach Food & Wine AND Coachella Festival Acme House Company

I can’t believe this weekend, y’all - in the best possible of ways. Mostly that we’re actually able to make multiple dreams happen at one time🌟⚡️✨🍷 While I am here all weekend at Pebble Beach Food & Wine, hosting The Dawn McCoy VIP Experience and taping an episode of @dineanddishwithdawn, my skilled and creative #DawnMcCoyMedia team is in the thick of Coachella, kicking off our first Dawn McCoy Media House today for a month in Palm Springs at the West Elm House 2019 - @theseveneightybywe with @acmehouseco - with a celebrity gifting suite with Luxury Experience & Co. At first I thought it wasn’t possible to be two places at once but then I remembered how I have worked so hard and thoughtfully to build this dynamo team - this family - of brilliant, talented women (and, a few men ☺️) who can think not only like I do - but better than me, at times. Who give me the space, time and freedom I need to be the chief creator and ideator while they keep me organized and see those ideas through to fruition. And, who cheer me on even when the plate looks a little too full, and who not only help me clear the plate but bring me dessert, in the creative sense. Dawn’s Destinations: Knowing My Worth in 2019 and Taking My Time

As I took 2019 by the hand, I whispered to her softly at midnight, “Ease. My word this year is ‘EASE.’” Two weeks in, I realize I was wrong. My word is actually... WORTH. Knowing my worth. Honoring my worth. Asking others to honor my worth. And, not being afraid to say no when something or somebody doesn’t respect my worth. This year, it’s all about knowing what we’re worth and only devoting our time, attention and energy to projects, people and places that are worthwhile...because time truly is our most valuable commodity and our richest currency. Once we have that down? Well, the ease will ease on in, take us by the other hand and ease us on down the road. Until Next Time (soon) My Beloved Palm Springs and all the Creative Energy it Holds

As my time comes to a close at Palm Springs Film Fest - as well as our stay at #CanaryPalmsPS with Acme House Company Vacation Rentals - I’m reminded of a delicate personality trait of mine that happens to be both one of my weaknesses and my strengths: the sensitivity to saying goodbye and letting go. Ever since childhood, the “Sad Sundays” were my nemesis - the day when cousins went home to Texarkana, homework had to be tended to, chores had to be carried out, and the day before the “normal world” was in charge again. And, while I know it’s a Monday, today still feels like a “sad Sunday” because we’re leaving the desert we love and saying goodbye to a film fest where both dreams and talents are not only celebrated but honored, awarded and encouraged. As creative and free as my life is - and, my good golly, I am so grateful that it is- it’s always bittersweet to bid farewell to those weeks in which creatives are celebrated, social events feel more like camp and less like work, and ideas are not only born but fostered and nurtured. That rare incubation period where all these creatives are in one place to stir the cauldron of magic, take a taste and see how - together - a new recipe might be discovered or improved. I live for weeks like these. And, while I know my time here must come to a close - so that I can get back to LA to all of my beautiful creative projects there - I want to say a very heartfelt “Thank you” to every single person I met this week who stirred that cauldron with me. I can’t wait to see what you create. And, I can’t wait to see what we create together. I’m already looking forward to an upcoming creative culinary weekend next week at @jwloscabos, @ModernismWeek here in Palm Springs in February and @PBFW in April. Living a creative life may not always be easy or the most consistently fruitful, but I’ll tell you a secret: I couldn’t do life any other way. This is our year to turn our dreams into our destinies, my friends. So, let’s get to it, shall we? Now...what is your dream that will become your destiny this year? Dawn’s Destinations: Palm Springs Acme House Company, DayDreaming in Loungewear

Good morning from the @JaggerHousePS in Palm Springs where the talented @KatWesterman captured me - as she describes it - in my Jacqueline Bisset-Stepford Wives-best. The rain poured last night and the sun is shining this morning, giving way to the most beautiful golden light the desert has to offer. It really is my happy place - a place caught somewhere between 1963 and 1983 at all times where happy hours are considered the 4th official meal and nightcaps are the required 5th. Where poolside chic and loungewear glam reign supreme. Where lazy, pool-drunk days with raisining fingertips melt into nights with firepit-side conversations and sing-alongs. It’s where I go to decompress and not only relax and recharge but rewind to a time when wedge salads and tableside-prepped Steak Diane and Bananas Foster were the diet of preference. It’s why I continue to host #DawnsDestinations influencer and curated trips out here - to share with the rest of the world the world I have fallen head over heels in love with. And, as I introduce people to this place and they fall in love, I just continue to fall deeper and deeper, dreaming of the day when I own my own slice of paradise out here - a place where I can entertain with lavish cocktail parties, host dinner parties and galas for the charities I love most and host lost weekends for the people I love most. Quality Time And Quiet Moments amid the buzz of Palm Springs Nights

2 glamorous galas in 2 nights at the @PSfilmfest and 6 cities in 2 weeks and I love it all- but I’m also really enjoying a day at our @AcmeHouseCo home for the week - @CanaryHousePS. Last night after the soirée, we snapped this shot before I slid into my nightly bubble bath and Nick sat right there next to me. That’s probably my favorite thing. Those talks and listening to music together.💗 All Nick & I had on the agenda today was waking up and taking a dip in the pool, heading to @VisitPalmDesert for the @LiveWellFest, then a grocery run to @Gelsons and an afternoon snuggled on the sofa, watching Mrs. Doubtfire by a crackling fire in the fireplace. Tonight, we have a dinner with friends at @SandfishSushiWhiskey and then tomorrow, we have brunch at @DesertSprings and another lazy day here at the house with a night of @GoldenGlobes and fondue. The most Darling House with Acme House Company Vacation Rentals

While I loved recapping our La Jolla Trip with you guys, Nick and I actually have spent the past 5 days and 4 nights “playing house” at The 4500-square foot “Spero Estate” with my beloved client, Acme House Company Vacation Rentals. In My Element, Visiting Palm Springs and its Glorious Shopping, Tasting, Feeling it all

If you can’t tell, I really feel in my element when I’m in my happy place of Palm Springs.🌴 I mean - a beautiful summer day that starts with a homemade breakfast with friends at our house for the week - the Zio Ziegler House with Acme House Company Vacation Rentals - followed by a shopping experience at a retro-lover’s dream store - SHAG Store Palm Springs - where photo shoots galore were inspired, and transpired, is a good day to me. Add in a tasting experience with On the Mark where we ordered an epic cheeseboard for afternoon poolside fun, a trip to @trinaturk while we waited, a stop by @christopherkennedyinc, more photo shoots back at the house and a beautiful dinner with music by Arkansan @bonniemontgomery and her friends, @summerdean & @andreabcolburn at a new @acmehouseco pool home and it was just a perfect desert day. As we all sat poolside, soaking our feet in the water, listening to the music I was raised to in my beloved Texas, I looked around at my Texan love, my friends and my fellow guests, and cried. I cried for being in that moment - and, for being one of the few who knew the songs of The Judds and Roseanne Cash. I cried for the country music career in Nashville I wanted so badly to happen that didn’t - and for the Sweet coincidence that my dear friend - and iconic steel player, Lloyd Green, who played on my record - was an icon of these talented folks entertaining us for the evening. And, I cried for the sheer happiness of being there in that sacred summer place.
