How Do Artisanal Products Combine Craftsmanship and Fashion Storytelling?
In a world of mass-produced goods, Luxury lifestyle products offer a breath of fresh air, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern trends. These unique, handmade creations reflect the skills of artisans who pour their heart and soul into every item. Whether it's clothing, jewelry, or home décor, these products stand out for their quality, individuality, and the stories they tell. At Journey of Objects, we celebrate the beauty of artisanal work and its ability to connect fashion with deeper meaning through fashion storytelling.
What Makes exclusive boutique fashion?
The appeal of Exclusive boutique fashion lies in their craftsmanship. Unlike mass-produced items, these products are made by skilled artisans who focus on quality and attention to detail. Here’s why artisanal products are growing in popularity:
• Handmade and Authentic: Artisanal products are made by hand, ensuring that no two items are exactly alike. This gives each piece a personal touch that cannot be replicated by machines. Every product tells a story about its maker, their culture, and their skills.
• Sustainable and Ethical: Many consumers are turning to artisanal products because of their sustainable and ethical production methods. Artisans often use locally sourced materials, minimizing the environmental impact. Additionally, purchasing artisanal goods supports small businesses and helps preserve traditional crafts.
• Quality Over Quantity: Artisans take pride in their work, resulting in products that are built to last. Whether it's a handwoven scarf or a custom piece of furniture, you can expect high-quality craftsmanship and durable materials.
• A Personal Connection: Artisanal goods often come with a backstory. Whether it’s the artisan’s journey or the cultural heritage behind the craft, these products have a soul. This makes them more meaningful to consumers who appreciate the effort and creativity involved in making each item.
The Role of Fashion Storytelling in Artisanal Products
Fashion storytelling plays a vital role in how we perceive and appreciate artisanal products. It’s not just about the product itself but the narrative woven around it. Here’s how fashion storytelling enhances the value of these products:
• Telling the Artisan's Story: One of the most compelling aspects of artisanal products is the story behind their creation. Each item tells a tale of the artisan’s skills, traditions, and journey. Fashion storytelling brings this narrative to life, allowing consumers to connect with the product on a deeper level.
• Connecting Cultures: Artisanal products often incorporate elements of local culture and tradition. Through fashion storytelling, these cultural nuances are highlighted, making the product more than just a functional item—it becomes a symbol of heritage and identity.
• Creating Emotional Value: When a product comes with a story, it resonates more with consumers. Fashion storytelling taps into this emotional connection, allowing people to feel like they are part of something larger than themselves. This connection adds value to the product, making it more than just an accessory or item of clothing.
• Empowering Artisans: By telling the stories behind artisanal products, we give a voice to the artisans. Fashion storytelling helps empower these creators, showcasing their skills and the hard work they put into each product. It gives consumers a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship and artistry involved.
Fashion Storytelling at Journey of Objects
At Journey of Objects, we embrace the power of fashion storytelling in every piece we curate. Our collection of artisanal products reflects the passion and dedication of the artisans we work with, each with a unique story waiting to be told.
• Cultural Heritage: Many of our pieces are inspired by traditional techniques passed down through generations. We celebrate the rich cultural heritage behind every item, ensuring that each product carries a part of its maker’s history and identity.
• Collaborative Design: Our process is deeply collaborative. We work closely with artisans to ensure that their voice and vision shine through in every piece. This partnership allows us to create products that not only meet modern aesthetic standards but also stay true to the artisan’s original craft.
• Sustainability and Ethics: We are committed to sustainable and ethical practices, sourcing materials responsibly and supporting artisans in maintaining their craft. Our goal is to create products that stand the test of time while minimizing environmental impact.
• Bringing Stories to Life: Through fashion storytelling, we bring the stories of our products and artisans to life. Our customers get more than just a product—they get a piece of art that represents the time, effort, and passion of its creator.
Why Choose Artisanal Products?
There are several reasons why choosing artisanal products over mass-produced goods is beneficial:
• Unique and One-of-a-Kind: Each artisanal product is unique, making it a perfect choice for those who want something personal and exclusive.
• Supporting Artisans: When you purchase an artisanal product, you are directly supporting the artisans who create them, helping to preserve their craft and livelihood.
• Sustainability: Artisanal products are often made using environmentally friendly materials and methods, contributing to more sustainable consumption.
• Aesthetic Appeal: The artistry involved in creating artisanal products results in beautifully crafted items that make a statement, whether in your wardrobe or home décor.
Conclusion
Artisanal products offer more than just material value—they represent craftsmanship, culture, and creativity. At Journey of Objects, we believe that every item tells a story, and through fashion storytelling, we bring those stories to the forefront. Whether it’s a handwoven garment or a unique piece of jewelry, our artisanal products embody the spirit of tradition and innovation.
By choosing artisanal products, you’re not just making a purchase; you’re becoming part of a larger narrative that values sustainability, individuality, and craftsmanship. Explore our collection and discover the beauty of artisanal work through the lens of journey of objects.

Some Chinese fashion styles
Disclaimer: The following styles and their definitions were observed by me and are not authoritative. I am only familiar with Hanfu and if I made mistakes and picked the wrong photo examples or fraud shops, please let me know. Also, this post focused on women's fashion because 1. I am not into men's fashion so I don't know much about them. 2. The algorithm also knew that so I don't really see them.
汉服/Hànfú
传统服饰/Chuántǒng fúshì (传服/chuán fú)
清汉女/Qīng hàn nǚ
旗装/Qí zhuāng
旗袍/Qípáo
新国风/Xīn guó fēng、新中式/Xīn zhōngshì 汉元素/hàn yuánsù 茶艺服/Cháyì fú or 茶服/chá fú 唐装/Tángzhuāng 中山装/Zhōngshānzhuāng.
汉服/Hànfú
The ethnic clothing of Han Chinese (not the Han Dynasty).
There was a prohibition of Han clothing and hair styles in Qing dynasty, i.e. the 剃发易服/Tìfā yìfú qu Queue Ordinance, so modern hanfu is an on-going revivalist moment.
Modern hanfu are based on archeological evidences with minor twists to suit modern like, such as the type of fabric used and cut.
As a result, there are many types of garments and sub-styles. The figure above shows some examples.
While which style should be included and promoted is a constant debate, but in general, the cutout line is the Qing dynasty (however small accessories such as purses are alright).
传统服饰/Chuántǒng fúshì (传服/chuán fú)
No example because I am not sure who identified with this label.
The Chinese traditional clothing.
This either referred to historical clothing restorers (regardless of ethnicity) or people who promoted that the traditional clothing of Han people should be in the late Ming dynasty style, since "people should get up at where they had fallen".
They might be agreeable with the hanfu movement or not.
清汉女/Qīng hàn nǚ
The clothing of women of Han Chinese in the Qing dynasty.
Since the Queue Ordinance wasn't that strictly enforced on Han women, the Han women clothing in the Qing dynasty had quickly absorbed Manchurian's elements while retaining the characteristic two-piece silhouette. (Manchurian women wore a one-piece robe.)
I believed it appeared around 2019 when the styles of hanfu had moved to fully embroidered surface to a more tone down brocade or weaved patterns.
旗装/Qí zhuāng
The ethnic clothing of Man people (Manchurian).
The women's clothing are generally in round collar opened on the left (youren) with straight sleeves.
The most basic item is a 衬衣/chènyī, which doesn't have vents.
However, the most common item I have seen on the street is a 氅衣/chǎng yī (probably rented), which should be worn on top of 衬衣, since they have side vents.
They usually have no standing-up collar but in some cases a fake collar could be worn.
On top of changyi they could wear a 马褂/mǎguà、坎肩/kǎnjiān、褂裥/guà jiǎn.
旗袍/Qípáo
The Chinese clothing of women originated from the Minguo era, known in English as qipao or cheongsam.
The male equivalent is 长衫/chángshān.
Currently in style is the retro-cut, while uses the traditional flat cut (no shoulder seam) instead of the more body-hugging modern draping style.
There are also many variations and cuts, but the overall silhouette is similar.
新国风/Xīn guó fēng、新中式/xīn zhōngshì
Innovative clothing that was inspired by Chinese traditional aesthetic.
It is an umbrella term.
汉元素/hàn yuánsù refers to clothing inspired by hanfu specifically, while xinguofeng could be inspired by qipao and other ethnic clothing. In addition, hanyuansu is a term more familair to hanfu-ers, so the target audience is slightly different between hanyuansu and xinguofeng.
茶艺服/Cháyì fú or 茶服/chá fú,i.e tea dress, which aimed to convey a zen and rustic aesthetic could also be considered a sub-style. They are often worn by retirees, artists or workers in tea shops, calligraphy shops, Chinese spas, Chinese traditional medicine clinics etc.
The older "Chinese style" generally refers to 唐装/Tángzhuāng and 中山装/Zhōngshānzhuāng.
Tangzhuang (Tang Suit) was a men suit characterized with a mandarin collar with a row of 盘扣/pán kòu frogs in the middle. There are two pockets at the bottom front of the suit. It was a well-known looked worldwide due to the 2001 APEC summit. However, other clothes resembled a 马褂/mǎguà could also be called a tangzhuang.
Zhongshanzhuang was designed and named after Sun Yat-sen but was often known in English as the Mao Suit. Mao Suit was characterised with a 关门领/Guānmén lǐng(“closed-door collar", but also known as Mao collar in English) with a row of round buttons. There are four pockets at the front of the suit.
中华lolita/Zhōnghuá lolita
A sub-style of the lolita fashion inspired by cheongsam/qipao, hanfu or other Chinese artistic elements.
The same item could appeared in different styles, but with different cut and accessories. The following examples showed a mamianqun used in different styles.
THE END

My old edits of Ukraine wearing a more accurate (simplified) traditional costume in comparison to the Sharovarshchyna-like clothes she has on in the original
Sharovarshchyna is basically pseudo-ethnic clothing that has nothing to do with Ukrainian national wear, and only pretends to be ethnic through kitsch elements. Sooo... something like this:
Sharovarshchyna:
Cheap, thin fabric, often glossy. Eye-straining red + white colour combination. Large and very vibrant flowers on the clothes, sometimes glued on. Generally very saturated colours, plastic-looking flower crowns that have no usage in traditional rituals or holidays. Often very low in details, minor accessories like a single necklace. Men often depicted wearing vibrant red boots (symbol of femininity? most of the time brides would wear those). Has nothing to do with Ukrainian heritage. A caricature, theatrical costume popularized in the late 19th century, later endorsed during the soviet era, when russification was especially violent, and only the "correct" showcasing of Ukrainian things wasn't persecuted. Still used by Ukrainians as a scenical costume for the very purpose it was created - because it's cheap, and easier to dance in.
"Sharovarshchyna" comes from the word "sharovary" which is the name of the stereotypical loose Cossack pants
Traditional Ukrainian costume:
Mostly muted colour scheme. Dark red, black and white often used as dominant colours, with details of other tones with higher saturation. Many elements vary depending on the region and occasion. Typically linen or thick cotton fabric. Detailed decorative embroidered elements have spiritual and symbolic meanings. Flower crown-like headwear worn by women during holidays and ceremonies (like weddings). Decorative tassels and fringe are often used on sleeves, hems, and headpieces to add texture and flair.
Also! Aprons, scarves, sashes, belts, and a lot of different headwear! (っ.❛ ᴗ ❛.)っ
edit: for additional context, the second picture showcases wedding crowns and hats
Also some bonus examples of modern Ukrainian ethno-fashion ↓
Thanks for reading. I plan to do a more elaborate post with illustrations about Ukrainian traditional wear sometime in the future 🙏

Cultural Fashion: Katara's Fire Nation Outfit
Was looking at some of my old posts and wanted to re-do a few of them, now that I'm 4 years older wiser.
Katara's Fire Nation outfit is inspired by the outfits worn during traditional Dai folk dance performances. These outfits are typically comprised of form-fitting tops that show off the midriff paired with flowing skirts or pants that emphasizes the elegant movements of the dancer. The necklace and other accessories that Katara wears are also reminiscent of the costume jewelry worn for these performances.
The Dai minority group refers to several Tai-speaking ethnic groups in southern China (Yunnan province) that are closely related to Lao and Thai people, both linguistically and culturally. They're a great inspiration for Fire Nation fashion. Fittingly, Katara debuts this outfit in the show's dancing-focused episode. Below are some examples of the elegance of Dai dance:
youtube
The "Peacock Dance" is the most famous Dai dance:

One of my biggest frustrations is how (mostly) white pple often wilfully misunderstand the concept of cultural appropriation becos they want to wear the "pretty (ethnic) dress".
Like, take the cheongsam/qipao for instance. To the average lay White person, it's a "pretty dress", a costume to wear for a party. But the dress itself comes with centuries of history, marking the evolution of fashion for Chinese women and how it's shaped by war, colonialism, globalisation and political revolution.
And White women can wear the cheongsam/qipao without having to worry about the cultural, socio-historical baggage that comes with it. On the white body, which is seen as the default, these White women get to be seen as beautiful without having to worry about being dehumanized as a result of racial fetishization and sinophobia.
As Jenny Zhang writes in RACKED:
What I wanted to say was how it felt to grow up in a country that indicated to me everything from the country I was born in looked good on anyone but me. This trap made me think the classmate in the hallway making fun of my Chinese last name while sporting a Chinese character tattoo above her ass, was the person I had to defeat, when, in reality, we belonged to the same world — a world that said that Chinese culture looked best as an accessory on a white person. In this world, a qipao was a garish costume on me, but a polyester cheongsam mini-dress on a white girl was adorable.

Writing Notes: Fashion History
for your next poem/story (pt. 2/2)
1950s
The 1950s were a time of large cultural and social change, which was reflected in the world of fashion. The Korean War began in 1950, followed by the introduction of the color TV in 1951. And in 1954, the modern civil rights movement began.
As the suburbs became popular, family and domesticity for women became a prominent force in society. Additionally, teenagers became fashion consumers and market leaders for the first time.
Due to technological advances, new fibers such as polyester, triacetate, and spandex are introduced.
The prominent trend of the time was femininity, as shown by the prominence of Christian Dior's "New Look". Shape was emphasized by full swing skirts or narrow pencil skirts, as well as fitted bodices and a small waistline achieved with the help of petticoats and girdles. Elegant accessories and jewelry such as hats and pearls were popular at the time, and high heels were ubiquitous. Other trends included Peter Pan collars, tapered or capri pants, and the introduction of the bikini.
1960s
The Beatles led the music and fashion “British Invasion,” influencing teenagers with their Mod aesthetic.
The Civil Rights movement led to the popularity of ethnic and African-inspired garments such as dashikis and caftans.
The 1960s were marked by eclecticism, both in fashion and society. A plethora of styles were fashionable at one time, ranging from space age fashions using vinyl and synthetics, to bold prints, colors, and disposable paper dresses inspired by Pop Art.
Mod fashion appeared on the London scene, with fashion designer Mary Quant as the “high priestess” of the style, and Twiggy as its supermodel.
Boutiques, a 1960s creation, began offering designer ready-to-wear collections, while easy-care fabrics were increasingly used by the general public.
Longer hemlines were dominant with maxi skirts and granny dresses, while hot pants and mini skirts were adopted by the younger market. These shorter hemlines popularized the use of pantyhose for modesty. As the decade progressed, chemise dresses that typified the dominant straight A-line silhouette became popular. Turtleneck blouses and sweaters were common, and sleeves were usually three-quarter length. Sleeveless tops were worn after the mid 1960s.
Jacqueline Kennedy became a major fashion icon, famous for her sophisticated style, pillbox hats, and pearls. Overall, hats in general experienced a decline in use, due to the popularity of high bouffant hairstyles.
Knee high go-go boots were popular, patent was often used, and low-heeled, square-toed shoes were common.
Popular accessories included headbands, bold jewelry, and matching shoes and handbags.
1970s
During the 1970s, the eclecticism of the previous decade continued, and influences from subcultures dominated fashion.
The Vietnam War ended in 1973, and the first Earth Day was celebrated in 1974.
The hippie subculture emphasized environmental awareness and social acceptance, translating into the popularity of natural fibers and earth tones, loose garments, blue jeans, and ethnic influences in dress.
Peasant blouses and skirts and psychedelic prints were popular, as well as historic revival styles.
In the late 1970s, music styles such as glam rock, disco, and punk influenced fashion and resulted in flashy, often shocking styles.
For the most part, clothing was loose and unstructured compared to previous decades. Skirts came in a variety of lengths — mini, midi, or maxi — although the mini and maxi were the most popular.
Unisex styles in clothing became a trend and were perpetuated by Diane Keaton’s character in the 1977 film, Annie Hall.
Trousers and blue jeans were worn by women more than ever before. Designer jeans arrived on the market, resulting in the birth of “licensing” for non-fashion products. Polyester was the other preferred textile for trousers.
1980s
With the rise of new media such as MTV, the 80s fashion landscape began to shift rapidly.
The televised wedding of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer caused a fashion frenzy, with "Lady Di's" elegant hats, tailored suits, and evening dresses making her a global style icon.
The 1980s were known as the "Me" Generation, with an emphasis on logos and designer labels.
The decade also saw the rise of yuppie (young urban professionals) culture, and the introduction of the fitness craze.
In the world of high fashion, postmodernism and avant-garde fashion were vastly influential. With the introduction of yuppie culture, business attire and "power-dressing" with items like shoulder pads was a popular trend.
In light of the fitness craze, leg warmers, tights, and leotards were widely worn, and women accessorized with big hair, flashy costume jewelry, and bright heels.
In terms of undergarments, Madonna and Jean-Paul Gaultier inspired an underwear-as-outerwear trend alongside the popularity of Calvin Klein.
1990s
The 1990s reflected subcultures such as punk, goth, and grunge in fashion.
Hip-hop music became popular and as a result, urban fashion was popularized.
Unlike previous decades, the 1990s was notable for a more relaxed and casual look, as well as the introduction of technology such as cell-phones and pagers.
With the rise of globalization & technology, the fashion cycle began to speed up.
1990s style was often considered "anti-fashion," with purposefully clashing or contradictory aesthetics.
Black, minimalist styles were popular, as well as vintage and 1970s style.
Many younger people sported crop tops, cargo pants, and blue jeans, and athletic wear in daily life. In terms of shoes, high heels, wedges, sandals, platforms, and sneakers were all widely worn.

Next up in the Sabzerus designs: Tighnari and Cyno!
I know this is unrendered, but I already committed to not rendering these two until I finish Haitham and Kaveh's designs which, in hindsight, is difficult atm because I have more ideas about Collei's design over them. With the recent release of Sethos, it seems that it would have to wait until I finish his and Collei's designs when I get to them. I'm writing a fic now lol so it the wait is probably quite long.
Tighnari's is relatively easy and I'm so pleased with the results! He finally looks put together and not... odd, palette-wise (to put it mildly). His clothing is based on the traditional dress of the Kabyle people, an Amazigh ethnic group from northern Algeria, with some modernized touches (I used references from modern-day photos of Kabyle dress!). The highlight is the burnous (hooded cloak), originally a symbol of resistance in the Algerian War of Independence and now a garment worn in special occasions such as religious festivals. I think it would be appropriate of Tighnari to wear one for his Sabzerus dress.
Cyno is so far the most difficult one to design. I have 0 references outside of speculative fashion plates and museum pictures of jewelry. I struggled so much with the outfit components, but I persevered and this is the result. His clothing is based on what Ancient Egyptian high priests of the New Kingdom wear. The long shendyt (kilt) and shawl are made from linen, which in higher social classes are woven so finely they appear as though transparent. Not just luxurious, but also airy for comfort against the desert heat.
Previously on: Nahida + Wanderer | Nilou
As usual, close-ups and some more thoughts under the cut:
Tighnari's canon design is incredibly confusing to me, because unlike some other Sumeru characters I have absolutely no idea which part of Algerian (or Arab, but that's a very wide ballpark) dress it's supposed to be based on. Where is that white fabric wrap even from? However, when I looked at his hoodie, I realized that it's probably supposed to be a "modernized equivalent" of a burnous. Probably.
The belt accessory is actually an article I always see on women's robe kabyle, but never men's. I think they look neat and Tighnari wears belt accessories, so I incorporated them. (If any of you seeing this are Kabyle or Amazigh, do tell me more of the nuances. Are they exclusively feminine accessories? I also read that Kabyle women tie their sashes differently depending on marital status, but does this only apply to sashes or does it also apply to these cord belts?)
It's not very obvious, but the burnous has a split back, so Tighnari's tail can poke out comfortably. It's also pretty fun to try and incorporate elements of his official design, such as the paw-print gloves, the boots, and the turtleneck. To me, Tighnari without a turtleneck is unimaginable for some reason.
I've been tentatively calling Cyno's design "the one time Cyno puts some effort into doing his hair". The little braids aside, his hair is actually in a half-up bun. I really should draw these refs from more angles... and this is unimportant in the grand scope of things, but I gave him some beef. My guy deserves more beef (and I apologize for covering his chest regardless).
The wesekh (wide collar) is made from gold and various precious gems/minerals. This one has gold, carnelian, and turquoise. The narrow golden beads on the outermost layer represents beetles, which in turn symbolize resurrection (i.e. Hermanubis' indwelling within Cyno).
I've always been baffled at the fact that Cyno wears mostly black, but would prefer for my design to contain elements from his actual design, so I kept the sash and helmet black. However, I do know that too much dyed linen (and animal fibers) are inappropriate to wear in temples. Unless you are a funeral priest, where you wear a leopard skin as a part of the rites. Then again, Cyno's biggest inspiration is Anubis, so perhaps he could get some leeway here...
To continue with the flower theming, I chose the Sumeru Rose for Cyno and Tighnari wears the yellow flower on his canon clothes once again. It's never mentioned in game, but I'd like to think the Sumeru Rose is among the national flowers of Sumeru along with the Padisarah, so it's appropriate for the General Mahamatra to wear it.
Lastly, I gave them matching double piercings. Tighnari wears them on his right ear (as per his canon design), and Cyno on his left. Another matching set :)

Hello! I adore your art, and I was wondering if I could ask you a question:
How do you come up with your designs? They are so pretty, especially Eddie and James ♡♡
I'm asking this because I'm having trouble creating designs for both Gordon and James for my AU, Hope.
Thank you for seeing this, I wish you a splendid day/night! :3
Why hello!!!
Oh gee I would ramble alot in this
Before I make a design, I like to list things that I like about them, their hcs, their ethnicity, and their primary colors
For example, Edward's primary color is blue, but he as a character is a kind and soft soul, in my hc his patience thins faster in adults, so a combination of white and red is a great indicator of this, The red being on his Tie and hair tie so it doesn't overpower the other colors.
My James is the one that's a little complicated, mainly because he's more based on his ethnicity, but him being a vainy, self-centered and show-offy means he likes to stand out, he likes being in the center of attention, so gold is the next best option, but for my James because he have aspects of him that is more cozy (he likes cooking, making clothes and learning languages), earthy Brown is used to support the bright red, that also helps with tuning down his personality a bit.
And next, are Shapes!
Again, their personality plays a big part, in Designing it's a factor that you would want to show your character's personality through their design, The three pillars of Round, Square, and Triangle Aspects plays a huge role.
If you see here, My Edward has a more fluffy, friendly look to it, with a hint of an old soul, and a fire that had died out, his design is rounded.
The same with my James, he has more edge, a sharper touch than Edward!
Appearance is also important, wether you go hand to hand by giving them buffers like a literal anthropomorphic trains, mecha, or more human etc, appearance is an indicator.
You might make them all have the same uniforms because they're a worker, but giving (for example) Gordon square glasses, then combining it with his basely square body type, can indicate he's a strict person, so on.
My James has alot in his design
Golden details in his clothing, Brown as a secondary color, darker red on his coat so that it doesn't clash with the main red in his outer, earrings and lip piercing indicating he loves accessories to support/show off his appearance, the moles I give him for that beauty marks, the Batik on his coat to represent his proudness of his home country, the coat that he make himself, he wears make up to touch up his appearance.
Alot can go on in a design, Mine is not God-Tier level designing, and I'm not an extremely experienced character designer, but these are the indicators I usually do whenever I make my designs.
In simple terms, list what you want to have in your engine design, and build it off from there, this is to prevent overcrowdedness.
And that's all! Thank you for the ask!
You don't have to follow it step by step, be as comfortable as you like, these are just factors and tips to help in designing🩵
Hope it helps!!!

sharpay evans stood out as a character not only because of her pink and stylish wardrobe but because of her confidence and the way she wasn’t afraid of going after what she wanted and knew she deserved. she worked hard for her passions and for her goals, she was also a QUEEN of manifestation.
(don’t believe me? listen to the words she uses in this iconic musical number!)
do not settle, plan your dreams and go after them!
throughout the whole movie nobody can deny sharpay wasn’t ambitious. she knew EXACTLY what she wanted and never hesitated to go after it. keep this mindset. if you want something in life it’s already yours you just have to go out and grab it. make your mind limitless, dreams are supposed to be grand and huge, just because other people don’t understand them doesn’t mean it wasn’t meant for you it was put into your head for a reason. ♡︎
stand out from the crowd and don’t be afraid to be “extra”!
who wants to be like everybody else? sharpay stood out the moment she stepped on screen and her peers around her laughed at her for being “snobbish” when she was simply a girl who knew what she liked and wasn’t afraid to express herself. we live in a world where people will tell you what you have to be and what things you have to like based on your race, gender, ethnicity, pretty much anything but break out of the norm! be expressive! leave your own mark on the world. do NOT water yourself down to be more digestible for others.
you fell? get right back up.
thoughout the whole franchise sharpay’s hard work would be overlooked or messed with, despite that she continued to get up and start over all over again. no one is deserving of you loosing out on the things you want in life. whenever there is an obstacle you need to pull out your confidence and hold it HIGH. if you know you deserve an amazing life why are you letting little road blocks stop you? do not let anyone steal your hard earned spotlight.
have confidence!
it’s a non-negotiable. build yourself up, become “snobbish” in the way that you love EVERYTHING about yourself. become “selfish” in the way that you are constantly looking out after yourself and choose to put yourself first always. walk around like you are THAT girl because you are.
WADROBE & ACCESSORY BREAKDOWN:
sharpay was always dressed up. she was known for her signature color pink which she incorporated a lot but didn’t shy away from glamorizing in different colors as well. she was often seen wearing a handbag with almost every outfit or her dog in her other hand or both even! (she even dressed up her own dog) from mini skirts to high heels to a shimmery hair scarf on her head to huge sunglasses or her signature tiara, she loved bedazzled things and glitter and sparkle, she always accessorized with necklaces such as her signature s or star, bangles on her arms and some kind of hat or belt on her. with eye catching materials on her like fur or the black dress with flattering holes on the side. she also glamorized and made the things she owned to her prefference like a perfect example is her iconic locker, don’t be afraid to make things to your liking if it isn’t available! be creative and crafty! if it’s not made already, take matters into your own hands!
this was something i have been so excited to work on for a while now as i have lots of things in common with sharpay, everyone deserves to think they are amazing!

How to make a villain's appearance memorable
Making a villain's appearance unique and memorable is important for creating a character that stands out in the audience's mind. Here are some ways to achieve this:
Clothing and accessories: The villain's clothing and accessories can be used to create a unique and memorable appearance. Consider using unusual fabrics, patterns, or shapes to create a distinctive look for the character. Pay attention to fashion style. What do they usually wear? Is their fashion sense good or bad? Casual or unique? They show it through the way they dress every time they appear. Accessories such as jewelry, hats, or gloves can also be used to add visual interest to the character.
Physical features: Physical features such as freckles, moles, scars, tattoos, or piercings are good ingredients for creating a unique look. Unusual facial features, such as a prominent nose or distinctive eye shape, can also be used to create memorable looks.
Makeup and hair: Like clothing, makeup and hair are often used to accentuate the villain. Hair textures, color, size, style, and shape serve as definitive social markers, determining, among other things, one's race or ethnicity, charm, beauty, religion, age, and so on. Meanwhile, makeup can show how much a character cares about his or her appearance. Bold or unusual makeup styles, such as dark or colorful eyeshadows, or distinctive hairstyles like mohawks or shaved heads are also distinctive and interesting highlights.
Symbolism: The villain's appearance can also be used to create symbolism that reflects their personality or motivations. Consider using symbols or motifs that are meaningful to the character, such as an animal or a particular design element.
Body language: Body language and gestures are symbols that tell the character's background and even the relationship between characters. A female villain will have different gestures than a male villain, and an assassin will definitely have fewer redundant movements than a doctor. You can use special gestures or movements that reflect your character's personality or motives.
Through the above characteristics, you can reflect the character's personality as well as some interests without saying it directly. Not only that, a memorable appearance also helps create strong impressions and makes it easy for the reader to create a visual image in their mind.
