Grayson was born into a family that didn’t care about their kids, just kept producing so that they collect the tax checks. The last kid that they had was Grayson because there were complications to his birth that caused his mother to no longer be able to have children, which was probably a good thing as they weren’t made to be parents. 

Grayson was incredibly smart and he had the best grades in his class and when he graduated high school, he was given multiple offers from colleges to come for a full ride but there was never really any drive for Grayson do do better for himself which was a shame because his parents never really pushed him to do better. 

After high school graduation, Grayson had joined the wrong crowd because all he managed to do was to get his bartending license. He liked the late nights and he enjoyed the busy crowd, plus he brought home more than enough money. He was getting into the wrong things and his siblings became worried for him and he was tired of feeling like he was being hovered over so he took off and headed to Red Edge, California where he could be himself without feeling judged.

Grayson was a night owl so when the time change came through again, the sun managed to wake him up. It didn’t matter if he had the blackout curtains or not, the littlest bit of light would wake him out of the deepest slumber that he could be in. He had managed to roll out of bed and put on a pair of stretch shorts and a sweatshirt as he headed out to the local coffee shop so that he could get some caffeine in him to keep him going. 

When he got to the coffee shop, there was a line longer than he was expecting to see so here he was in line and he waited his turn to order. When it became his time, he ordered his drinks and when he received it, he made his way out of the coffee shop and down the street. There was already life to the streets of red edge and he tried his best to ignore but it was so hard. When he made it to a crosswalk, he looked ahead and his eyes widened as wide as they could be this early for him. He dropped his drink and he made eye contact with the memorable stranger standing across from him. He looked towards his right and saw the perfect length to run so that’s what he did.

Hello! I noticed in the faq, you said someone could hypothetically have both a mod position and a contributor position. I also saw that the Writer Mod will help select the Writers though, so could the Writer Mod still apply and be considered for a Writer Contributor position? (Trying to decide what to apply for, haha, thanks in advance!)

Yes, the Writer Mod could still be a writer on the Zine! Just as any other mod can apply to any contributor position, even though all mods will have some input on who gets accepted during the Artist/Merch Artist applicatons process. There’s no reason not allow that for Writers too.

As we’ve said before, you will still need to submit a Contributor application when they open up for the sake of fairness. And probably, during the Check-in process, the Mod’s work would be looked over by another mod or a beta reader instead.

we are currently at 08/20 needed reservations to open! it’s so close yet so far! we really want to open this place and build a wonderful community! 

so to give the certainty that we WILL open to our current reservations and to hopefully bring in more, we are having a soft opening between November 15th to November  24th! please read under the cut for more info!

during the duration of the soft opening, we will of course accept any already sent application and incoming applications and add you in the rp as normal! 

current or future reservations that are made before 11/15 will be put into action but instead of being given two days after the soft opening to turn in the applications, we will give them four days to turn in their applicaton.

between 11/15 ~ 11/24, activity checks will be not be enforced during the soft opening! we want to give you the time to test out the waters for our place as it will be pretty slow and quiet during these times but! we do hope you’ll be active as if it were a normal period of time.
