My very first post!! Tonight, I was inspired by my son to do a Super Mario Bros. graphic using Adobe Illustrator.  This was my first time using Illustrator to this extent before.  As a up and coming graphic/web designer, I've always used photoshop.  Only managed to use Illustrator to open an .ai file that I may have needed.  :)

My recent introduction at the Art Institute has sparked a new interest in Illustrator and I thought how great it would be to track my progress as I practice as much as I could in Creative Suite.

Had a great time doing this, took me a little while and I notice many imperfections but I'm thrilled at the knowledge it gave me and I can only get better!

Smashing Magazine: Wallpapers

When I blogged about BumpTop, I completely forgot to mention another of my favorite desktop dressers, Smashing Magazine. Every month a collection of wallpaper submissions are received, selected and shared in various screen resolutions. There is a wide range of styles to choose from and having a calendar on my desktop doesn't hurt!

Another honorable site for wallpaper wow is Abuzeedo.

Now of course, if I am going to a conference, I'll usually create a custom wallpaper for anyone peering into my MacBook screen but otherwise, I usually reach out for inspiration. Enjoy the links!
