I want a whole series with Fourteen & Donna. Like that episode was just so great.
We have the Doctor showing how caring this version of them is by saying it out loud, by holding her hand, reassuring her thar everything will be alright, calming Donna down with acts of physical contact (the stark difference not only between ten, but also thirteen oh boy)
Then the breakdown – gave me waters of mars vibes, David's acting is just so amazing in that entire scene – showing us how the events with the Flux has left them, and how he wishes Donna could understand him without having to explain it. To share the pain of learning the beginning of his life, how they came to be, is a complete lie.
"A million years."
To unpack everything from the events of the timelord victorious, to the Ponds, learning gallefrey did not fall, events as Twelve, and then finally, you get to the newests of torments having learned of the timeless child.
For fucks sake I need them both to sit down and talk about it.
We also got to see how Donna is traumatized of being left behind again by the Doctor. That he somehow couldn't tell the difference between her and the no thing. Plays into the whole self-worth bit. And can I say, Catherine Tate, that acting was *chef kiss* because for a second I was convinced the damn thing had copied Donna 100% and I would've brokedown crying with her being left behind omfg
Also loved that whole parallel thing with their conversations when the no things are first shown, it was a quite nice way to prelude the horrors.

@sugutoad Part 2 for the Bridgerton Ship!!!!
Feelings
Colin felt a spark the first time he met you, but he suppressed his feelings. He was terrified to give his heart away again so easily, after what happened last time. Besides, once your mission was over, you were going to leave for Canada soon, so it would be foolish to acknowledge these feelings.
This conviction lasted until he made a joke and heard your laugh, your real laugh, not a polite titter. It was such a pure, perfect sound, so natural. It was so rare for Colin to be laughed with and not at. To find someone who listened like you did. He left your company that day dead certain that he had to ask you for permission to court you, even if it was only over letters. So imagine the joy and relief on his face when you let him know you would be staying in England after all.
...
You fell for Colin when he first offered his help to entrap Lord Featherington. To find a gentlemen so eager to pledge his service, and a young and handsome one to boot, was stroke of luck. It was so rare to find anyone who took you seriously, as a woman, to find someone who truly listened to you, soft spoken as you were, but he listened to you earnestly, he seemed excited to hear what you had to say. He trusted your judgement on Featherington without hesitation. And when the plan was set and you were parting, he helped you up to your carriage and then took your hand for a chaste kiss goodbye. You knew you just had to see more of him.
Your Best Friend
As I've stated, your bestie has to be Penelope Featherington! You're a perfect pair, two girls used to be on the sidelines, brilliant and observant and quiet. You can be loud together, can say all the things you feel as though you have to keep to yourself. I think together you'd feel free to be judgey without judgement, if that makes any sense. To laugh and gossip and state your real opinions.
When you first met Penelope and introduced yourself, there was an ulterior motive; to find out what she knew of Cousin Jack. You saw she was isolated from the rest of her family and hoped this lonely wallflower might be disaffected enough with her patriarch to share something she shouldn't.
She did end up helping you a little, as her insights on Cousin Jack's courtings and entrapment were what made you realize he was low on money and desperate. But more than that, Penelope provided you with much needed company. It was lonely in England, you knew no one except the servants who came with you and the distant cousin who was acting as your host and chaperone (and as obliging as she was, she was always so focused on her young children it felt more like you were staying in an inn than a home).
I think, eventually, you are the first person Pen purposefully reveals her alter ego to. And while you are shocked she could have written such hurtful things about her family, and the Bridgertons too, you also understand her motivation. What it feels like to be dismissed, to hold a grudge, to want to get even with society and expose its ugly underbelly. Perhaps you even begin to act as cowriter... (I know you have brilliant prose).
(By the way, just to add one more lady to this pack; you two often sit with Lady Danbury during her girls only poker nights and enjoy nothing more than poking fun at society together (Lady Danbury still wins every time I'm afraid).
Other Characters
The rest of the Bridgerton family welcomes you with open arms (well, with one exception, but we'll get to that later). Antony and Kate in particular share a connection with you, as all three of you have major Eldest Child Syndrome. They're pleased to have another person to commiserate with and they think of you as a good influence for Colin.
Violet and Daphne absolutely adore you, they are so thrilled Colin was able to find a true love match, after his disastrous past relationship, and they agree that you're a very sensible young lady. At the earliest possible opportunity Violet offered to host you in the Bridgerton manor (and after you and Colin married, your quarters stayed the same, she was quite insightful in finding the room you'd most enjoy).
Benedict and Francesca are less close with you then their siblings but they still enjoy your company and appreciate your own artistic sensibilities, Francesca in particular appreciates having someone equally introverted around (in her coming out season you often rescued her from the overwhelming attention by asking to take a walk together outside). The little ones as well are drawn to you as well and enjoy your company, but Violet ensures they don't bother you too much; she doesn't want you to feel like her unpaid governess, after all!
As I've said, there is one Bridgerton who initially has reservations about you; Eloise is highly suspicious of you, having recently discovered what your new best friend (and her former best friend) has been writing in her spare time. Eloise suspects you may be a plant by Penelope to spy on the family and her suspicions do end up putting a bit of a damper on your stay. For your part you have no idea why Eloise is so cold to you, and her snide, pointed comments only serve to confuse you. You end up just avoiding her whenever possible, and the rest of the Bridgertons assume her dislike for you is due to her falling out with Pen (Violet gives her many a scolding on not letting her own friendship issues get in the way of her brother's happiness). I think when Pen finally reveals her secret to you, everything clicks. You do your best to encourage reconciliation but its a long road to recovering their friendship, and it's only after that Eloise and you begin to try to start over.
Your Family
Colin and you continue to live in the Bridgerton Manor for most of your time together. However, as your family starts to grow, you move to a cottage on the Bridgerton estate for more space (and by cottage I mean perfectly maintained little aristocratic cottage orné like the one below of course, not a thatched roof thing).
Tumblr media
You have four children, as you hoped for, two boys and two girls, all about a year or two apart. In proper Bridgerton fashion they have theme names, of course. In order of birth: Alder, Basil, Camelia and Daisy. All of them have dark hair and hazel eyes, although whether the lean more towards the dark grey of their father or the warm tones of their mother depends (Alder's eyes are almost pure amber with blue speckles, Basil's are mostly dark blue and green, Camelia's are an even mix of all three and full of freckles, and Daisy's are grey-blue on the edges with a sunburst of amber inside). They're also all relatively short like their parents, and since both you and Colin have button noses, so do they.
Alder, the eldest boy, takes after you a lot in personality, he's very pensive and thoughtful, so it's a good thing that he has a mother who understands and supports him through it. He isn't really sure what he wants to do with his life, he just wants to live up to the standards set by his family. Has a secret love of novels.
His little brother Basil is similarly thoughtful, but much more talkative and extroverted, he'll make an excellent barrister. He's often seen following around his Uncle Benedict, although you hope that it will be Benedict's kindness and affability that ultimately wears off on him and not his proclivity for partying, he's going off to college at Eton soon and you're hoping he uses his time there wisely.
Camelia struggles with middle child syndrome hard, she's similar to her father in that sense, probably the most similar to him. Like him she's eager and trusting, she also looks the most similar. She's the child who pushes for independence the earliest and strongest, most likely to say "Mother, please! You're embarrassing me!" Gets along well with her Aunt Eloise, has been taking under her wing. You've learned to give her the space she needs, you know she'll come back when she has to.
Don't tell anyone but Daisy is probably your favorite lol (or perhaps Camelia). You try not to spoil her too heavily though, you know how frustrating it is to take care of (occasionally) bratty little siblings. But she is generally the best behaved, very sweet natured with the shyer aspects of your personality. She's very artistically inclined and already showing a keen sense of empathy. Of course, she's also a little manipulative and capable of using said empathy for Evil, as all baby siblings are prone to be.
Fandom Specific (A Ball Theme)
The ball thrown in your honor would be a fancy dress ball (aka, a costume ball), with the theme being Renaissance. Everyone would be decked out in their best 19th century does 15th century, with a rich, dark, velvety palette (some extent examples below)!

Ship/Reasons
I ship you with Leo Valdez, Bad Boy Supreme! He's pretty close to your ideal type (if maybe little a too talkative); funny, charismatic, a little bit cocky, with the biggest wettest brown eyes and the saddest little heart. You have a similar snarky sense of humor and speaking style, although Leo is more of an extravert than you, which is a nice balance. I also think you have some similarities in your flaws, and seeing them reflected in someone else would actually be really good for you. You both struggle with self-esteem issues and perfectionism, realizing somebody as amazing as your other halve also deals with the same problem will help you move past self-pity and internalize how much you're truly worth. On a related note, I also think you both have some stuff to work out regarding attention and a need for it, I think you'd be able to reign in the other's more self-centered/attention-seeking instincts. Leo is someone who desperately needs someone to truly talk to about all the issues he internalizes, someone brave enough to express vulnerable emotions and coax him into doing the same, and in return, he would be eternally loyal.
Headcanons
All the cuddles, so many cuddles. Leo is such a cuddle bug! He prefers to be the little spoon so you're usually jetpacking (although maybe "the big spoon" would be the proper term, since you really only have 3 inches of height difference, he's a Short King). He's so warm btw, basically a human space heater.
Leo's kisses are energetic yet gentle, like him, he peppers you with kisses all over your lips, your cheek, your eyelashes, your chin, your neck. Even after he pulls away you can still feel the heat on the places he kissed. Especially loves to kiss you on your moles.
Magic carpet dragon rides on Festus! And yes, he will sing a "Whole New World" as you soar through the clouds whether you ask or not. He actually has a pretty nice a voice, a little pitchy but not bad at all for a beginner. He'll take you anywhere you want to go; when there was a Fourth of July fireworks show at camp, he saw you were planning on staying inside because you hated the loud noises so much and gave you a ride up away out of the noise range, and you two watched the fireworks from above together.
Your upbringing in the isolated community of Nova Roma means you are living under a complete rock when it comes to mortal pop culture, which is Leo's bread and butter. So of course every time he mentions some movie or artist or whatever and you go "I've never heard of that" he gasps exaggeratedly and immediately drags you off to show you whatever it is. You end up having a lot of movie night dates, which fail to truly edify you on pop culture because you two get easily distracted by each other 🤭
When your temper goes off, he can usually diffuse the situation by making you laugh. Got a low grade? He'll mock your teacher until you no longer care at all about their judgement. Starting to get pissed off at a bad day? You'll be so busy laughing you forget what you were angry about.
He flirts with you constantly, always a wink or a pet name or a quick comment about how wonderful you are. If you turn it back on him even a little however, he immediately becomes a stammering mess. Lol, he can dish it out but can't take it.
Your Cabin
Tumblr media
Salve Nova Roma, filia Veneris! You are clearly a daughter of Venus, Roman goddess of love, beauty and sovereignty. (Which also makes you a relative of Julius Caesar and the Julian dynasty, by the way!) Physically, you are excellent match for a child of Venus, you have the beautiful multicolored eyes her children are often mentioned to have. I think you also have a good personality match; you care about aesthetics and beauty, both internal and external, you are a dreamer and a romantic, and your flaws of jealousy, temperamentally and self-centeredness are also found in your godly parent (I'll leave it up to your own self-reflection to decide which is your fatal flaw). You're also very sensitive and in touch with your emotions, fitting for the child of a goddess of feelings.
In contrast to her more chaotically aligned Greek aspect of Aphrodite, the Roman goddess Venus is not only the goddess of love and beauty, she's also a sovereignty goddess, and the grandmother of Rome through her son Aeneas, and this is reflected in your INTJ aspects, your perfectionism and judgement. You are no ruler yourself, being soft-spoken and with no love for the spotlight, but you are a kingmaker, a student of history who knows what it means to work hard for what you want. You know the cost of power and it is up to you to decide who is worthy, who has payed in full.
Backstory
You are the daughter of a senator in New Rome, favored by Venus for her charisma on the hearing floor. Your family was thrilled to be blessed with a demigod child, it was always assumed you would follow in your mother's footsteps, even outdo her, in the political sphere. You were pushed to become a perfect citizen, the best and the brightest. Even as its become clear you had no aptitude for the stage of politics, and would much prefer a role behind the scenes as a legislator and negotiator, your mother is still trying to push you towards "greatness." You love your parents but they get stressful and exhausting and you could feel the toll this was having on your mental health.
"Anna, you're wasting your heritage hiding in the shadows! You could even be a Consul one day, as great as your siblings!"
You bit your tongue rather than remind your mother what happened to your famous half brother the Consul, and risk the start of another rant on proper filial piety.
For you, volunteering the legionnaires of Camp Jupiter wasn't just doing your duty as a Roman; it was an escape. Which is also why after the war ended, you also volunteered to go to Camp Halfblood as an envoy, to help draw up the new peace treaty between camps (the lack of phone service there meant, for the first time, complete freedom from your family).
How You Met
You met through Piper! You stay in Cabin 10 when at you were at Camp Halfblood, of course, and became good friends with her. She really appreciated having someone who always advocated for the quieter members of the cabin, and she wanted to bring you out of your shell, so she figured, what better way to do so than to introduce you to the most out of his shell person she knew? Leo was immediately smitten with you, of course, like every pretty girl that was (to him) completely out of his league. He started flirting with you in the typical fashion, hoping to make you laugh. The last thing he was expecting was for you to fall face first for him right back.
Confession
Leo had been flirting with you since the day you'd met, but you'd never taken it seriously. A boy that cute and funny, and a hero to boot, genuinely interested in you? You couldn't believe that to be anything but a daydream turned delusion, fueled by (what should have been) harmless jokes from a consummate flirt. You always laughed at his "jokes" though, even when your heart ached from the teasing because you felt like if you were honest, he'd run away in disgust.
Then one day it was too much. It had been a bad day all around, too much work, too much noise, too many people, all culminating with an argument with Drew Tanaka that left you running from Cabin 10 in overwhelmed tears. Leo saw you streak past him as he left Cabin 9, muffling sobs and followed you into the woods.
"Hey, chica, mi amor, what's wrong? I hate to see a pretty girl like you so sad."
You'd had enough. Of all the times to mock you like this... And you told him through tears to cut the bullshit, enough with the jokes, to stop playing with your heart.
Leaving Leo Valdez in stunned silence is certainly an achievement few can say they have accomplished.
Well. Too late for him not hating you. You released all your feelings in a rambling torrent, how hard you'd fallen for him, how his flirting left you with your face heating up and butterflies in your stomach. The last thing you were expecting was him to sweep you up in a warm hug.
"Oh Anna, I never- everything I said, I meant. I had no idea- I didn't think you liked me back, you know you're out of my league right? Hehe, always time to change your mi-" your kisses quickly silenced the self-deprecating jokes.
That's twice you've gotten Leo Valdez to shut up, you should win a medal for that by the way.

Ship/Reason
I ship with you Colin Bridgerton! He fits your ideal type to a capital T; a perfect gentlemen, a (false) cassonova, a sweet boy who'd do anything for love, a middle child desperate to not be dismissed anymore. I think both of you struggle with being seen and heard, although in different ways, and could commiserate on that. Both of you also know what its like to feel stifled by your family. Colin would be thrilled to have someone who not only actually listens to him and cares about his opinions, but who also can contribute to the conversation in kind. We've seen what a wonderfully attentive lover he is. He's always going to be patient with you, to console you when you're hurting, lift you up when you feel low and speak up for you when you can't speak up for yourself. I also think your tendency to get trapped in analysis paralysis and his tendency to act on impulse would balance each other out.
Headcanons
When he started courting you he would bring you beautiful bouquets and corsages, and at first you thought it was only coincidence how fitting each one was to the situation but you soon realized Colin also knows the language of flowers! Even now you two still exchange little messages with each other, a red tulip next to your bed when you wake up in the morning, a ring of daisies left on his work desk in the afternoon.
Recites poetry for you! He knows how much you love Tudor era history so he memorized some of Shakespeares sonnets and when you two are relaxing together in evenings he'll recite for the family (looking directly at you the whole time of course).
You speak together for hours on just about every topic. He's thrilled to find someone who'll let him talk about his travels and his plants and all the things he's interested in. His brothers make fun of him, his sisters dismiss him, but you? You're always there to listen, and that's why he fell in love with you. The conversation runs so smoothly between the two of you, you quickly loose track of time.
You two adore picnics in the countryside, sitting on a blanket eating strawberries. Just you, and him, and the sounds of nature and the warm sun on your faces. It's all very Box Hill in Emma coded.
You often visit Penelope together often, especially when Lord Debling leaves for his travels (because yes, she still marries Lord Debling, and they actually really truly fall in love, and Pen also gets a happy ending because she deserves that)! You two thoroughly enjoy each other's company, both of you are not only excellent listeners, you also have quite strong opinions, and are equally judgemental in your own ways. Quite the pair 💅, I wouldn't want to get on your bad sides!
There are some benefits to being the little sibling for once. You and Colin are free to do as you please. If you're overwhelmed by the noise and crowds of the ball, you can leave early without any side-eyes, you can travel across the country, even the continent, without any worry of responsibilities back home (although Anthony greatly appreciates your business acumen), and you feel no pressure to make any heirs, when you two fall into each other's arms, it out of pure desire, not duty.
Backstory
You arrived in the Ton shortly before the second season began. You say that you are the daughter of a wildly successful fur trader in the province of Canada, here to experience the social life and marriage mart of London.
While that's not entirely untrue, that's far from the whole story. You're not just here as a debutant, you're also here to hunt down an infamous con artist and debt dodger who's hoping to escape his money troubles in the colonies across the Atlantic, one Jack Featherington! It was you who first suspected something was fishy when an American ruby miner offered to sell stock to your father, and it's up to you to bring the man to justice and stop his schemes. Now to catch him in the act...
How You Met
You realized Jack Featherington was doing most of his business at a gentlemen's club, and since a respectable young lady such as yourself could not enter such an establishment, you'd have to find someone on the inside to help you. You approached the owner, Will Mondrich, for help, and he gave you more than just information; he got you in touch with a Mr Colin Bridgerton, who'd been approached by Lord Featherington for business, and was happy to offer himself up as bait. You'd heard of Mr Bridgerton before (who could forget the scandal he and Miss Marina Thompson had been embroiled in last season) and had even briefly seen him at a ball, behind all the swarms of young ladies vying for his attention. You hadn't expected to find a young man so eager to help, full of kindness and youthful hope. And he hadn't expected this mysterious young lady with ulterior motives to actually be so charmingly sweet. So after Featherington was foiled and sent packing back to America (where his old marks will no doubt find him again and bring him to justice), you decided to stay in London and get to know Colin a little better...
Confession
You two courted for not only a full season, but a full year! Colin was afraid to rush into love again, after having his heart broken by Marina, and you were afraid to leave your home in Canada forever after having only barely seen England. Colin took you across the country as his guest, showing you not only the Bridgerton manor, but the whole of the country, and you fell in love with it as much as with him.
The proposal was in private; Colin knew you would feel so uncomfortable with a public proposal, all those people staring and the noise. You wanted romance, not a performance.
So instead he took you outside on a midnight stroll of the gardens. You were sitting under the gazebo and gazing at the stars together as Colin worked up the courage to speak his heart. It was a beautiful late spring night, smelling of blooming flowers and perfectly temperate, if maybe a tad too humid. The stars quickly disappeared under a haze of clouds, something you pointed out, and Colin began to panic. It was going to rain, his perfect proposal plan was going to be ruined. Daphne had warned him about this, but he was so anxious he didn't listen. You were going to get wet and cross with him, and when he went back home in defeat his brothers would laugh at him and he was never going to get to give you the perfect proposal he knew you'd been dreaming of.
You knew Colin well enough by now to sense the growing distress in his mood. You finally felt sure that he was the one you wanted to spend your life with, but now you started to wonder if he felt the same. Had you done something wrong? Maybe you shouldn't have pointed out the change in the weather, although you couldn't fathom why that would have been enough to turn him so. Unless it was the final straw. Maybe you had complained too much before, sure he'd always taken your sensitive nature in stride before but maybe he was finally sick of comforting you. You started to feel sick. You needed to get back inside where you could melt into the crowd of Bridgertons, who had already started to feel like family to you.
You stood up and, stating you were ready to go back in, started making to do so. Colin followed shortly behind.
"W-wait! Miss Anna, please, just a moment!" Perfect timing, the sky burst open in a torrential flood, a summer storm come early. Colin shielded you from the downpour and you rushed back to the gazebo, huddled together and close to soaking.
As you shivered in each other's arms, Colin started to laugh.
"Well, there goes my brilliant proposal idea! Ah well, it still ended with you in my arms!"
(And here's your engagement ring! Yes its a tad gaudy but what piece of Bridgerton jewelry isn't?)
