Double Star Martin wearing gloves as a safety measure. It's a habit he's kept up consistently since he was young. And it does work! It slows down the energy siphon, even if it doesn't stop it entirely.

Chris' constant production of energy until he overloads being found out years later when he shorts out several lamps. Both brothers having to navigate life with these hazardous powers as best they can. Yes.

The capacity of energy Chris can safely hold before overloading grows as he grows. On the one hand, it means he overloads less and is generally less irritable; but on the other, it means that when he overloads he overloads. Just. A massive and very sudden outburst of energy.

Chris can discharge the energy as it builds up though! Through the less noticeable mechanical energy (movement), the slightly more noticeable thermal energy, or as the very noticeable electrical energy if there's a lot built up.

The amount that Martin can siphon before feeling full grows as he grows, which is not really a good thing. He can sort of mitigate how much he drains from other living things by wearing gloves, eating a bit more, and draining electrical devices—once he's siphoned as much as his body can handle, he won't siphon anything else for a while.
