Storyteller's Vault
Dark Fates Collide!
The garou of Sept of the Trillium Glade stand at a crossroads, their fate already written in the stars. The temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest serve as a dark and brooding backdrop for their tragic story, one that showcases a specimen of intrigue lurking at the heart of the World of Darkness.
The first Act of Dead Mountain is high-powered chronicle written for Werewolf: the Apocalypse and is meant to be played in any edition of the game. This tragedy is written for 3 to 8 players of Rank 3 Adren, and is intended to have a long game duration of 6-9 months in length.
Set in 1975, this story revolves around the garou of four packs around Dead Mountain, set at an ancient Red Talon caern doomed to abscess to save itself. The players will need to navigate the complex web of long-standing alliances and animosities that exist among the different packs here. They must fight to protect their territory from incursions by their enemies, while also trying to uncover the secrets of their own history and make hard decisions that will have lasting impacts, preserving the things most important to each garou.
Senescence provides an opportunity to take all of your favorite legends, happenings, character experiences and edition history, and freeze it in time. This chronicle is the first of two acts That allow you to create your own mythology in the region that new players in Act 2 will unearth and piece together. Act 1 is the vehicle for giving closure to the characters that never saw an end to their chronicle, that one showdown you never got to play out, or found out what your favorite character's ultimate fate was to be. And in the grim ending of this first Act, all of those things you love the most will now become the legends that reveal themselves to the garou that come long after, bringing closure to the events that are to take place here.
This is a story of tragedy, one that will test the players' resolve and challenge their notions of what it means to be a garou. It is a tale of ancient secrets, hidden truths, and the grim and unforgiving landscape of the World of Darkness. The players will need to rely on their own wits and ingenuity to uncover the mysteries that lie ahead, and they will emerge from the story as better, more skilled storytellers in their own right!
Senescence Includes:

yeah i meant the flipdeck ones sorry!! I should have been more clear
Oh it’s fine! Here they are, my flipdeck entries for Simone, Didar, and Rollie!
NOTE: These are all based off of my personal headcanons. If you think I should’ve written something different then it’s fine, you can even tell me what should’ve been written differently
Ok here we go
Simone:
First Appearance: Papa’s Mocharia To Go!
Home Town: New Pepperton
Occupation: Recordist
Loves: Lofi music
Hates: Loud noises
Simone is the laidback recordist of Nowtime News and Mocharia Life. She always seemed to be good at everything, from making royalty-free music as a high-schooler, singing karaoke, voice acting, and taking care of her pet hedgehog, Rowen. Despite being more reserved, Simone is the accomplice of her little cousin, Didar, who she helps with his bigger pranks. As kids, the duo loved filming skits together which are kept in a flash drive. It’s their greatest treasure which holds all of their best memories to this day.
Didar:
First Appearance: Papa’s Mocharia To Go!
Home Town: New Pepperton
Occupation: Cameraman
Loves: RPGs
Hates: Light mode settings
Before working for Mocharia Life, Didar was the mischievous cameraman for Nowtime News. Though childish, he’s clever in all strategic planning, which can come in handy for tech work cues, winning his favorite RPGs, and scheming pranks. He loves pulling pranks on his coworkers, and was excited about new targets during Mocharia. Though his tricks may not win over everyone’s likeness of him, he’s essential to the Nowtime News crew, and they wouldn’t have him any other way.
Rollie:
First Appearance: Papa’s Sushiria To Go!
Home Town: Tacodale
Occupation: Dentist
Loves: Sushi
Hates: Physical affection
Rollie is a highly skilled dentist of Abscessive Dental. The main reason he became a dentist was due to peers and family not taking him seriously because of his baby face, though it’s best not to be fooled however. He’s quite snarky for someone so soft-spoken, and knowing dentists being a common fear among folk, he doesn’t mind terrorizing people sometimes. Besides never having a fondness for people, he has a displeasure for germs due to his frail health growing up, so he’d rather people stay six feet away from him.
That’s all I have for now, I know they aren’t like S-tier writing or anything but I think they’re okay😅

Here is the full English transcript:
Introduction
It’s time for the Shin Megami Tensei V News. This show from Atlus will showcase information regarding Shin Megami Tensei V, a Nintendo Switch-exclusive RPG launching November 11, 2021. I’m your host, Chiaki Matsuzawa.
Here are today’s Shin Megami Tensei V News topics.
Bethel Demons of Each Country
Traversing Da’at
Now, let’s begin the show.
We’ve introduced various human characters in Shin Megami Tensei V News Vol.1 and 2, but this time, we’ll be introducing some demons that are key to the story. Let’s take a look.
Bethel Demons of Each Country
In order to protect Tokyo, the protagonist agrees to cooperate with the Bethel Tokyo branch. And so, demons that work with Bethel in various countries appear before him.
Khonsu, from the Bethel Egypt Branch – “See for yourself the Creator’s ‘almighty’ handiwork.” “See how the earth’s inhabitants lament their injustices and buckle under misfortune.”
Vasuki, from the Bethel India Branch – “I shall be filling in as Lord Shiva’s proxy.”
Zeus, from the Bethel Greece Branch – “Bah! I’m sick of hearing babble from that winged wench and her automatons.”
Odin, from the Bethel North Europe Branch – “But wait, are you not a Nahobino? How could you have broken the shackles that bind us?”
As each of their ambitions and motives intertwine, What future awaits Tokyo and the protagonist…?
We’ve just taken a look at the demons from the Bethel branches in various countries. One can’t help but wonder, could they be friend, or foe?
Next, we have news regarding Da’at, an alternate Tokyo in ruins. Please take a look.
Traversing Da’at
Da’at, an alternate Tokyo in ruins. A vast world, its terrain varies widely depending on the area. There’s a variety of enemies and marvels to find, so be sure to explore every nook and cranny.
Leylines connect regions of Da’at, and can be used for features such as saving game data. By accessing them, you can also visit the Cadaver’s Hollow.
You can pay Macca to purchase items from the master of the Cadaver’s Hollow, Gustave, or sell him your loot.
—Gustave: “I’ll sell you what you crave, long as you’ve got the Macca!”
—Gustave: “Give yourself an edge against the demons, why don’t you?”
—Gustave: “So, what’ll it be?”
—Gustave: “See something you like, it’s all yours… For a small fee, of course.”
Gustave’s pawns, known as Miman, can be found hidden throughout Da’at.
—Miman: “What?! Gustave wants us to come home?”
—Miman: “I haven’t found any relics yet… but I guess I’ll go now.”
Find Miman, and report to Gustav to obtain rewards based on the number found.
—Gustave: “Keehee. Found a Miman already, have we? My thanks, friend.”
—Gustave: “I got just the thing to show my appreciation.”
—The protagonist gained Onmoraki’s Essence.
By finding Miman, you can also earn Glory, which is necessary in order to obtain Miracles.

User Questions
PSA: Here at Shin Megami Tensei V News, we are always accepting messages from our viewers. We’ve been highlighting a few of them at the bottom of the screen. For this next segment, I’d like to read one out loud.
We received the following message from @Giru-kun.
“I’m excited for the Shin Megami Tensei V release. If there’s an option like Safety mode or something, I’d be able to buy the game without worrying about the difficulty, so please take it into consideration.”
Thank you for your message. Allow me to explain the difficulty settings for this title.
There are three difficulty settings: Casual, Normal, and Hard. All three modes are available from the beginning of the game. Hard mode is filled with danger and many challenges, and can only be selected at the beginning of the game. You can switch to Casual or Normal modes during your playthrough, but you cannot switch back to Hard mode after doing so. We recommend it for players who aren’t satisfied by the challenge of standard gameplay.
In addition, an even more user-friendly Safety mode will be available from the release date as free downloadable content. Players have the option to choose the difficulty that suits them best.
Please continue to send along your messages and questions. >> Tweet your questions with the hashtag #AskSMT5! We look forward to hearing from you!
