ABOUT
The Ranström witches have long been known for their extraordinary wealth, a legacy rooted in Sweden where black magic was harnessed for financial gain and self-advancement. In the 1920s, the Ranström family extended their influence from Sweden to New York City, and subsequently to Hollywood. This expansion led to the establishment of Zenith Entertainment, a formidable conglomerate encompassing film studios, talent agencies, and high-profile production companies.
Zenith Entertainment, founded in New York City, swiftly rose to prominence in the entertainment industry. The family's acquisition of the iconic Radio City Music Hall cemented their status, linking them with influential industry syndicates and exclusive institutions such as Asphodel, which trained Supernatural talents for stardom. The Ranström legacy reached beyond Broadway and the East Coast, making significant inroads into Hollywood's film, television, and digital media sectors.
Born and raised in a cold and removed household, Nina adopted the same demeanor from a young age. She considers it a strategic approach to navigate being a Ranström, but as she grew older she learned how to master such a fine juggling act. To this day, Nina has a complex personality which embodies her upbringing yet allows her to experience freedom.
She had no interest in being in front of the camera, and in order to not disappoint her family, this meant her career was paved for her within Zenith Entertainment. She's worked at various roles within the family company but is now Head of Talent Management, and is an influential name if you don't want to be blacklisted from any roles or projects.
Nina has a difficult relationship with both of her parents, mainly from how she tries to do exactly what they wish yet still feeling as if it's never quite enough.
She adores her younger brothers, even if this is never outright said. She takes no notice of things considered taboo in their world and both Felix and Jakob have tracking spells on them.
She showcases a similar personality to their father in that business should continue no matter what, remaining focused and her head always held high. In the same breath, she can be similar to Agneta with a controlling and unrelenting presence.

His disdain for social gatherings was already well known. Even more so when they were under the pretense of business. Because nothing said hard work like a $700 per person meal. Felix viewed it all for what it truly was, a pretentious display of wealth and egos. Tedious stories, forced laughter that if you listened to closely, carried a hint of a melody. Give us your money. It seemed worse to him that everybody knew what it was, yet nobody dared break the play. The only time he enjoyed a social gathering tinged with the promise of wooing a client was when the oil tycoons had sons and daughters with the same tastes he had. And regardless of what anybody thought about it, nobody could deny the correlation between Felix's massive coke binges with a few heiresses and accounts then earned.
All that being said, Felix was late. In fact, all that being said was precisely why he was late. Strolling into the restaurant to the clink of glasses and chatter with the slowest pace he could muster. He was practically dragging his feet towards the table, slipping into the seat beside Nina. A quick sniff indicated where his time had been spent and he shot her a quick smile before giving an apologetic nod to the potential clients. And then, of course, a wry grin to Oskar as the conversation continued. "Who are these people?" Felix muttered to his sister, keeping a level smile on his face as he eyed around the table. "If you say Israeli's, we're going to have a problem." he added without looking to her, catching a story about a yacht scattering around the guests. "Wonderful. Well, at least I haven't missed anything important." he grinned to himself, tucking himself more comfortably under the table, his foot may or may not have collided against Oskar's with a slight kick. "How annoyed is he? Let's take a bet. If his eyebrow does the thing when he looks over, I could possibly be fired." Felix uttered in full amusement, not glancing to Nina as he spoke and instead watching their dear brother as Oskar entertained for his life. "It's kind of like watching a dog walk on it's hind legs, hm?"

Nina's glare remains fixed on Nate, eyes slowly scanning over him as he rattles off more jokes. There isn't even a twitch of a smirk from the witch, if anything her only response comes as a heavy roll of her eyes while she takes a deep breath. "You're lucky I even talk to you. Do you know that?" she says next, considering their families back and forth and the hostile atmosphere between the Hawthorne's and Ranstroms leading up to Felix's attack. Nina doubts the wolves are behind it, but that doesn't stop her from using whatever she can as leverage. Her grin only arrives as Nate waves to Lilith, one of the spider's legs lifting up in response. "That means nothing." Nina quips, taking her drink with her as they meander from the gathering. "Despite never wanting to hear you sing one of those songs again, I'm not going to champion for ethical magic, Nate." she mutters, taking a sip from her glass as she surveys the other supernaturals. "Anyways, before you can sing about your pretty titties. Do you think Asphodel is lacking funds?" Nina's tone lowers, glancing back to the wolf. "All hands on deck for security measures because of a dodgy bank account. Or is this meeting a very polite way to say how Beckett Rhodes fucked up and it's a price we all have to pay?"
Nate chokes back a laugh, knowing that while she has some patience for him, it's growing thinner by the second. Soon, it'll shatter. He recognizes that, somehow, he's got more bandwidth than most (he's not sure how), but still he clears his throat and nods, shifting in his seat. "Okay, fine, you didn't dance." The werewolf winks, "you probably just had like ants in your pants or something," he reasons when Lilith crawls on his shoulders. Giving the spider a small wave, he glances to Nina, "Rude, but fine. If you insist." Nate agrees before humming ah ah ah I wanna fuck your gf, shoulders shimmying a bit, taking Lilith for a little ride. "More your speed, right?" He gives her an innocent look, like he's just making a friendly suggestion before holding up his hands. "Kidding. Look. It's not my fault they're ear worms. Maybe you need to bring up a motion about making songs addictive."

The differences between the Belcourt witches and his own family may as well have been like night and day. It was one of the first things Felix noticed. The way Bella's family had a warmth that seemed to surround them, a clear indicator of the love that flowed seamlessly between every member of their family. "I can imagine it's not. Everything I've heard about him makes me feel as if I knew him, in a strange sort of way. I think we would've got along. Or at least I hope we would have." Felix said sincerely about the loss of Aaron, watching as the Belcourt finished her glass of wine and topped up his own.
A small thank you was uttered as he reached for the drink, but it suddenly wasn't in the sense of a lifeline. He nodded, quick and reflective to Nadia's words. "Always." he didn't even need to think about it when it came to Bella. "She's changed my life for the better so I'll constantly be repaying that." Felix said, and as theatrical as it seemed, it didn't even come close to how he truly felt. "I'd be honored. Obviously. I think I might talk to Nina and Jakob, too." he said honestly, waving his hand slightly. "Not that I think they'll care but it seems polite, right?" Felix shrugged, unsure how to navigate the conversation. Would it be akin to abandonment? But the prospect of shedding the Ranstrom name for good and adopting one that easily meant more to him, Felix hoped they'd also understand why.
He laughed slightly to Nadia's joke, another sip of his drink. "Beautiful home, isn't it?" he said about the Belcourt name origin, chuckling again. "Which sort of tracks still, in a way. Guess there's truth in a name, after all. Shakespeare was just being dramatic." Despite the brief humor, Felix nodded again to show that Nadia's words weren't simply flying over his head. Everything she said carried meaning to him. "But er...thank you, it's not particularly been easy but this is what I mean about Isabella. Think I would've been worse." and their short time apart proved it. In many ways it cemented the fact Felix knew he wanted her in his life.
Nadia's suggestion brought out immediate interest from him in the next moment, and it was Felix's turn to top their glasses of wine. "I actually think that would be great, yeah." his tone perked up as he laughed. "Bella still likes to remind me about us sitting on the patio while everyone was getting ready for bed." but Felix was glad to say that he had a healthy dynamic with his soon to be mother in law. "I'll ask around and see who'd be free, I think Bella would love that too. Maybe if we do it as a surprise for her?" he suggested with a slight shrug. "I'm sure I could make out there's something mundane I want to go to instead."
It was only a matter of time before it happened – before milestones began to feel bittersweet. An accomplishment or moment marked by happiness and tinged with sadness. Bella's engagement is a stark reminder of the fact that Aaron isn't with them anymore. But she holds fast to the fact that Sebastian, Nick and Bella reflect him in different ways and so a part of him is with them still, living on in their beautiful children. Nadia takes a sip of her wine, finishing the glass as Felix speaks. A soft smile crosses her lips as she glances away, nodding. "That's very kind of you to say." She looks to the once-witch. "I am so proud of her. She's more than I could've dreamed." Nadia praises her daughter with a warm look.
"Don't apologize. It's not always easy to talk about him, but that doesn't mean I don't think about him daily." All the time. She still talks to him. Is this the right move? What would you do? I wish you were here. Am I doing okay? I need you. I miss you. I love you. "So I don't want to stop talking about him just because it's hard. He was too wonderful to be avoided in conversation." Nadia admits with a sigh. "You're a good partner to her, Felix. No one can ever replace Aaron but I think he'd rest easy knowing you're taking care of our girl." She reaches for the bottle as she speaks, voice a bit thick as she pours another glass and tops Felix's off.
Nadia considers his hesitation, his words and finds herself giving him an understanding nod. "You don't have to make the decision now. There's time but...I can proudly say you're welcome to it. You've come far and you're still growing. And that's what it means to be a Belcourt." She shrugs, "perhaps not in terms of etymology," Nadia adds with a wry smile and a wink, "but in spirit. Crescere per Veritatem." She says in Latin, "To grow through truth. It's our family motto – has been for centuries. Growth is more important than perfection." She shares sincerely before laughing lightly at his statement.
"It's true. We could both use a bit more sun hmm? If it doesn't conflict with your schedules, perhaps we do an engagement celebration in Italy." Nadia takes a sip of wine, waving a hand. "Nothing big. Not even a party. Just time away with family and the people you'd like there." She offers, knowing that neither of them wanted a big to do and figured that a holiday where they were with their loved ones might suit better than a long party where they had to make small talk for hours on end.

"Yeah, it is super peaceful here." Bella nods in quick agreement about the villa. It always felt like it's own world tucked away from everywhere else. Somewhere that forced everyone within it to escape, unable to even think of anything beyond it. As she finishes fixing her plate for breakfast, she grins faintly to Nina's teasing, leaning into the joke happily as she chuckles. "Well, I would...perhaps, celebrate it, yeah." she says in a light jest, knowing she has (hopefully) already established herself as the non-militant type. A quick laugh bubbles up to Nina's wit, and she offers the witch a playfully innocent shrug. "Unfortunately, that's all there is so welcome to the dark side." she teases before shaking her head. "I'm kidding, there will be others, if you want that instead."
Bella doesn't dwell on the brief show of affection by Nina. She knows it's something she will never utter a word about. Except to Felix, obviously. But, she's overjoyed that the Ranstrom witch even felt an inkling of that sentiment and wears a subtly proud smile as she follows. Bella gets comfortable beside Nina, setting down her plate before the question takes her by surprise. The Belcourt blinks, glancing to Nina and then back to her breakfast as she takes a bite. Quickly, Bella is shaking her head. "I don't think I've ever seen you dance, so I couldn't possibly say." except for the fact she has seen the briefest glimpse of Nina's dancing, but Bella wouldn't dare mention it. "I really doubt they're stiff...I mean, even if they were, which I doubt they are, nothing wrong with that. If I don't focus, it becomes super obvious how dominant the Belcourt genes are." she laughs for a moment and then waves a hand. "But honestly, I mean it. I doubt that they're stiff. Why? Were you thinking of...a dance off, or something?"
"Oh, it was lovely. Very peaceful." Nina answers with a nod, thankful for the soundproofed rooms considering the villa is packed full of couples. And not the kind that she wouldn't mind overhearing. The witch chuckles lightly to Bella's humor, arching a brow to the Belcourt. "I know you are only joking, Isabella. But, we shouldn't pretend that you wouldn't be elated if everybody suddenly announced their new vegan lifestyle." her quip is with good intentions, as she and Bella have long since overcome the initial stage of knowing one another. Not to mention, Nina almost resembles a different construction of herself when nowhere near the icy grip of her parents. Her glance moves to the champagne in her glass as a slight chuckle escapes. "So that explains why it's never been my favorite." she teases easily in a simple tone.
It doesn't matter if the two witches have established a bond with one another, Nina showcasing any form of tactile or sentimental bond with another is simply unheard of. Which is why she's thankful Bella doesn't overload the strange moment of their embrace with any heavy emotion. She appreciates the care extended to Jakob and herself with a curt nod, happy to move right along. "Yes, thank you. I can't say I look forward to that part, but the rest is fine." Nina says, already starting towards the pool with the assumption Bella will follow. "Now that we have that out of the way, there is something I've wanted to ask you." her words adopt a serious tone, as does the look she gives the Belcourt. "I want your complete honesty, because I'll be able to tell if you're lying." she adds, choosing the lounger that she wishes to occupy for the morning. "Do I have stiff hips when I dance?"
