I apologize if this has already been asked but I wasn't sure of the answer even after reading all the asks in the archive about the subject, so I thought I'd ask for clarification! Other than Amon's route, is it possible to play as an ace MC that does not have sex with the LIs or is the MC canonically allosexual and will always have sex even if the player decides not to "see / read" the sex scenes (i.e. a fade to black style thing)? Love the game so far, excited to see what y'all do with it after it gets funded (cause let's be real, there's no way it ISN'T getting funded!)

Don't apologize anon! Talking about this is very important and I want the players to know exactly where the game stands on. Also, taking advantage of your ask to also reply to this one:

+18 NSFW sexual content will be STRICTLY OPTIONAL. If it gets funded, Kickstarter Backers will have the option of telling us if they'd like the NSFW chapters to be included in their pledge. These chapters are DLCs that are separated from the full game, so don't worry. You won't have to play through any sexual content if you don't want to.

So, except for Amon, you'll be able to play as a fully asexual MC. There will be options to just say "I don't want to have sex right now" and options to talk to the LIs about the MCs asexuality. You'll also be able to stop the sexual scenes whenever you want, and a special scene will play. You can also skip the scenes if your MC is allosexual but you don't want to see the scenes.

Envy, for example, falls into the asexual spectrum. They don't feel sexual attraction as a norm (which is the same as saying they experience very limited sexual attraction / desire), but they are sex-favorable. They, however, won't feel sexual attraction for you until they are in love with you.

Also, as always, don't hesitate to educate us in any matter. I identify as asexual myself, but that doesn't mean I can't be misinformed, use terms the wrong way, etc.! 💜

My 3 inspiration for Imperial Grace:

Empress Ki (Typically the MC is an Empress and not a Queen because of this show :p)

Game of Throne (I always loved political drama in medieval settings but the show really reignated my passion for those, hence Imperial Grace. Also, I have a weird love for the bitchy vibe of Cersei.)

Dragon age (And my number one inspiration is not a secret it's dragon age. All of them. The romance!!! The drama!!! The choices!!! The characters!!!!! I can't tell how much time I spend on each of those game and how they influenced my way of designing narrative experiences.).

Je suis repartie 5 min sur jvc pour voir les ventes de Fe17 en France...

C'était immonde, du dedel discourse dans les commentaires, "TH c'est du shakespeare" gars shakespeare c'est pas le nom de ton nouveau milkshake au earl grey, "téma la honte il préfère un jeu anniversaire aux vrais jeux"- gros t'as oublié que fe13 est super populaire pour un jeu legacy

Bref, jvc quoi, notre pot de chambre adoré.

Par contre comme truc marrant, le nouveau (1995, quand même) machin officiel pour les jv français s'appelle le sell et je trouve ça hilarant.

Je sais pas si personne n'a acheté de jeux cette semaine ou si il y a eu un détournement des stocks européens sur la A1, mais l'édition collector de Fe17 est le troisième jeu le plus vendu de la semaine passée ??
