getting a new kitten. it's not even been a month since my baby boy passed. feel sick about it all. still in the crying every single day phase. my mother said its a good idea tho because she's genuinely worried I'd top myself which. The Life Series had altered the chemistry in my brain that I could never, ever, act normal when I heard someone mention a poppy flower it's not even funny anymore. (It's still is, but I'm torn between laughing at this realization and the tragic fate this flower always bring)

That's, a totally normal and trivial fact. Not to mention red poppy specifically.

So I did mention that the tanuki I living underneath Kyuki probably wouldn’t have a human form, but my brain started going wild with what ifs and here they are.

I like to think they’re pretty chubby. Their human spoils them (as they deserve). I like to think they’re pretty chill for a tanuki too. They aren’t really mischievous and tend to like most humans. The only thing that sets them off is the damn fox that keeps skirting the edge of their territory. They’ll tell him off one day.

haha, that's actually one of my least favorite tropes, and I've only written it a couple times bc one of my best friends asked me to bc she loves it and I love her. 😅 So I can't say 0% chance of me writing it, but very low odds it'll happen again unless Rhi asks again xD I don't outright hate it, it just doesn't do anything for me so there's lots of other things I'd rather write.

Part of the problem is almost all my pairings, at least one of the two is entirely willing to sleep on the floor/couch/chair if there's not enough beds. One of the time I wrote it I had to finagle by saying one of them was so drunk the other shared a bed to keep them from wandering off during the night and getting hurt, and the other I had to make it too cold out for sleeping outside a bed with a blanket.
