Chappell Roan, a lesbian, went on a national broadcast tonight and performed a song about dating a closeted woman who refuses to acknowledge their relationship and denies the fact that she’s a lesbian. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that happening but here we are and it’s amazing.
As a lesbian woman, to have an artist go out and be so entirely herself in every way, to be so proud of her own sexuality and to perform a song like this and have it be broadcasted to millions of people…it makes me so emotional. All I have ever wanted as a queer woman is to have this sort of unabashed representation and we’re finally getting it in such an incredible way. What an era we are living in and all I can say is long may it continue and I am so proud to be a Chappell Roan fan.

But don't forget that in this moment they aren't on great terms.#It's not a knight in shining armor moment - it's a 'you were being treated unjustly and I have the power to absolve you from that.'#And as we are very soon about to see - WWX certainly cannot turn away from those who need aid he can provide.#And like Jin Guangyao; that kindness is also his downfall.#By the way - that you all for the amazing community commentary on the last comic. #in anticipation of the incoming remake#i tried my best to imitate the SH font but#silent hill#silent hill 2#angela#angela orosco#theme of laura (reprise)#i've said it before but in spite of its occasionally clunky diction i think silent hill 2 is an unusually emotionally intelligent game#for any year and still today but especially so for where gaming storytelling was in 2001#and for as many pitfalls a story like hers could've dipped into i think it particularly shines through with how they treated angela#not just choosing to depict victimhood as something that can be ugly and fractious and open quote “difficult” but then this#actively rebuffing james for trying to be a white knight and dressing him down for it too#“i know you mean well and want to help but this isn't a simple problem"#“and it's really hurtful and a bit insulting that you act like you can”#the switching to a first person view turning it into an address to the player as well#maybe even old videogame tropes too#“this isn't some princess in a castle kind of situation dude this is more serious than that”#it felt like a very deliberate statement about the depth and severity of a trauma like this#and in doing so showing it so much respect#then angela just leaves#and you never see her again#i really don't think it was to imply that it consumed her i think it was to underline what was just said#this isn't your problem to fix#this is where your part in this story ends#there's some strength in that

I like to sometimes think that the OM! demons and angels have a heightened sense for noticing other beings, like they know when someone or something is nearby even if it's incredibly still and silent. But they're so used to MC being around that MC can completely slip under their radar. MC's presence is a totally natural, constant part of their daily life. For better or for worse, they're too used to it.
They're just chilling in their room, doing whatever, until MC coughs. It really spooks them. Maybe they jump a little.

#yttd#your turn to die#sara chidouin#shin tsukimi#sou hiyori#midori yttd#kimi ga shine#kmgsn#shadowart#EXTRA NOTES IN THE TAGS TIME AS USUAL#as far as im aware these are the only two lines that specifically mention sara's eyes ?#and they're both worded in such incredibly similar ways#both are almost very abrupt too#as if they both got distracted and felt compelled to say something about her eyes#there are in general a lot of midori parallels with sara#and i think shin's remark on her eyes being scary... well... shin would know a lot about scary eyes wouldn't he#after all he was uncomfortable with midori's stare too#which further leads into of course midori complimenting her eyes#he sees himself in her. or more specifically. the ruthless sara of the simulations#eyes to some are like a window to the soul#midori's offhanded compliment directly paralleling shin's much earlier remark on her eyes... well it makes sense these two would both make#a comment like that#that being said. i'd love to make make a partner piece to this about gin and ranmaru commenting on sara's smile#as i think those are also the only two instances where someone sees her make a dark expression and calls it out#that's all!#WAIT ONE MORE NOTE#shin going ahaha in this dialogue because it's a quirk he stole from midori really adds to the whole thing#like even while actively pretending to be sou. he is still frightened by the man he is masquerading as#and he sees that man in sara's eyes. terrifying!

been thinking about something wicked a little too much lately. no harm in romanticizing the ominous dreadful unstoppable force
