You know what, I keep talking about it, and I'm exhausted right now, but I'm in a good mood because of the great brazil meetup so! Take some crossover!guapoduo as a treat.

There's something that has been itching at the back of Roier's brain for months now; like a memory he can't quite place. (Intellectually, he knows that his memory chip was likely wiped when they altered his purpose, so he has always assumed something didn't go quite right during the process. It hasn't affected him, though, so it must not be anything to worry about.)

Since he's met this investigator, however, he keeps getting...flashes of things. Memories, seemingly rewiring themselves into his synthetic mind. A kid, a young boy. His mother, and...well. Roier himself. The three of them.

He hasn't put two and two together until he takes a step back, staring at the graffiti in the old, abandoned laboratory. The small images joining together, the way the detailed linework of the paintings blurs, combining to form a bigger picture. A face. No, not just a face...a memory.

The overwriting of his memory chip didn't take. Not fully. And all he needed to do to trigger it was to see the bigger picture.

To be fair, I haven't talked about it much on here—I think I've only mentioned it once or twice, really. But...I'm working on a completely self-satisfying spiderbit au fic. DBH x Ordem Paranormal.

So...Roier is an android. Former housekeeper-type android, current police assistant. Cellbit is a paranormal investigator—under the guise of a normal detective—that the Detroit police have called in to try and help them solve a case and keep it under wraps. The case involves a small kid—who may be a ghost or possessed, Cellbit still isn't sure—and because of that, Roier wants in. (It's a kid! He needs help!) It also involves an old laboratory on the outskirts of the city, home to two figures of the investigator's past that he thought he had finally put to rest.

I am...very mentally ill about this au.
