Once you stop thinking about queer people's labels as strict indications of what's in their pants and who they do/don't bed and instead view queer people's labels as how they interact with the world, you'll find that you'll get along with queer people better and treat them better, I think.

Person-first language can be a perfectly fine way to address others, but if you have to do so in order to remind yourself that the people you talk about are, in fact, people, maybe it isn't the language you're using that's bad, but the way you fundamentally view the people you are talking about.

I feel like a boomer saying this but nowadays I feel like only way most children have fun is with yewchew kids/ipad or whatever it makes me so crazy like why aren't they having fun with play-doh or crayons or legos etc 🥲...... I find it really hard to interact w kids from my family due to this issue as well!
Yes literally! Im not full boomer abt it bc i dont think the whole generation is fucked or w.e, nor is it their fault... also I always see ppl being like "cut their wifi so they go outside!" like i had limited big clunky computer access as a child and if i wasnt online i sure as hell was not outside. LOL
But like....true.... my nefews still read and such but its in between screen time vs the other way around...one of my nefews is turning 6 or 7 soon and he's watching?? Streamers?? Play minecraft? LOL? They both throw tantrums when they need to take a 10 minute break and count down every minute....
Yesterday i had a baby cousin over and was surprised that he had brought a dirty ipad but was like, choosing to play with his happy meal toy and jump around instead, but somehow this was "too disruptive" and his parent coaxed him onto watching loud ass videos on the ipad instead. Lmaooooooo.
