🖤+ my Noi Siammo Leggenda babies?
Have all of them bc why not and bc I'm so mad they cancel it! I'm gonna give them a closure anyway, don't care! Yes, again! I will keep mention this! (Jk I'll stop it's just the moment lmao) (These are all very much post-canon btw)
Also, a lot of them have tattoos that represent their powers, mainly bc those powers are very connected to the person that they are! And I always might end up with more

Not my usual content, behind cut because of kids in the photos, don't worry, these are all like publicly posted photos and videos and all that. I just wanna gush about how lovely Pippo seems to be with kids (and how I am genuinely happy for him having kids now, after such a long wait....hmmmm)
he was always so lonely in the family photos!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, you wouldn't be able to tell, but it's (on the left) Papa Inzaghi, Tomasso, Simone, little Lorenzo, and Pippo is just the cool uncle on the side :') Also, in the pic on the right, it's Mama and Papa Inzaghi, and Simone with his two sons and A Wife, and once again, Pippo is just Some Guy in the background, no wife, no kids.
Tumblr media
Same thing here. Simone with Two Sons, Proud Papa Inzaghi, and Pippo being....That Uncle We Don't Talk About.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But it's so obvious Filippo loved kids and wanted to have kids and was always there for his nephews (and brother, lol) :')))
Tumblr media
Full-time uncle, part-time legend.
He even had Tomasso with him when he was retiring from AC Milan, and it's the sweetest :') I wonder if he was thinking like.... Oh God, I do not have A Son to see me retiring and remember me like this :')
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But! Things are great now, and Pippo finally has two kids, a son and a daughter, and I love how happy he seems to be being a dad!

Between the 11th and 12th of this month, Giulia Cecchettin, a 22-year-old Italian girl, disappeared alongside her ex boyfriend, Filippo Turetta. Today, 18th November, her body was found in a lake 140km from where I live.
For six days, we were told that they ran away together, despite the fact Giulia was supposed to graduate from university on the 16th. That we shouldn't jump to conclusions, that there wasn't any proof he had killed her, that we were crazy for even thinking it. When a video of him beating Giulia up until she was bleeding came out, newspapers were filled with declarations from his family saying he loved her, he would never do anything to hurt her, he was just a little possessive and jealous.
We all knew. We all fucking knew since we read the words "ex boyfriend".
Giulia is the 103rd woman victim of feminicide in Italy in 2023. 103.
Meanwhile, Giulia's sister Elena, who has had to spend the last week making as much noise as possible because that was her only hope of finding her sister, was asked if the family was ready to forgive him. Newspapers talk about how good of a guy he was, they carefully avoid saying he murdered her, they refer to them as a couple. I've lost track of how many men have taken time to comment "not all men" under posts about Giulia.
Not all men, but all women.
If you live outside of Italy, you probably won't hear of this news. You probably don't know how pervasive victim blaming is in Italian news stations, how bad the statistics of feminicide are. So, please, reblog this post. Demand justice. Say Giulia Cecchettin's name.
Se domani non torno, distruggi tutto.

#important to mention that one of the mysoginists targeting her is literally an elected politician in a regional council#a 50yo elected male politician targeting a 20yo young woman whose sister was just murdered. be so fucking for real
the sister of giulia cecchettin, the 105th victim of feminicide in italy just this year, is being target by incels and regular misogynists alike and called "a witch" because she is speaking out against the systemic killing of women as a direct result of the patriarchy. Because she allegedly likes metal music and she is enraged that her sister was killed by her ex, she is called a witch and a satanist. Men are spreading theories on twitter that she casted a spell on him because he was Such A Nice Guy and couldnt possibly have killed giulia of his own free will. Because she went on tv to state very clearly that he was Not a monster, because monstrosity implies a deviation from the norm, and unfortunately killing women in italy IS the norm. People are being so incredibly vile towards a grieving young woman, claiming shes doing it just for clout, after she and her family have been living for weeks with cameras forced into their home. Im so fucking pissed.
I dont know how many times ive seen the phrase "better in jail than in a grave" and its so fucking scary and disheartening that women have to resort to this, to want to teach this to their own daughters (which they should btw. Better in jail than in a grave) because every person in power refuses to do a single thing about it. other than blabbering about chemical castration or death penalty, of course. which, of course, would solve jack shit and it would probably actually just make men even more violent

Egyptologists Clash Over ‘Underground City’ Beneath Pyramids
Claims that an “underground city” exists beneath ancient Egyptian pyramids have caused a row among experts.
Researchers from Italy say they have uncovered giant vertical shafts wrapped in “spiral staircases” under the Khafre pyramid.
They said on Sunday that they found a limestone platform with two chambers and channels that resemble pipelines for a water system more than 2,100 feet below the pyramid, with underground pathways leading even deeper into the earth.
But the claims – which have not been published or independently peer-reviewed – were labelled “false” and “exaggerated” by fellow Egyptologists.
Tumblr media
Researchers claim they have discovered eight cylinder-shaped structures below the Khafre - Khafre Project.
Prof Corrado Malanga and his team from the University of Pisa used radar pulses to create high-resolution images deep into the ground, similar to how sonar radar maps the ocean.
In a statement, he said: “When we magnify the images [in the future], we will reveal that beneath it lies what can only be described as a true underground city.”
The scientists have also said there is “an entire hidden world of many structures’’ and that “the Pyramid of Khafre might conceal undiscovered secrets, notably the fabled Hall of Records”.
The Hall of Records, a concept popularised in ancient Egyptian lore, is believed to be an ancient library beneath the Great Pyramid or the Sphinx, with vast amounts of information about the ancient civilisation.
Prof Lawrence Conyers, a radar expert at the University of Denver who focuses on archaeology, told the Daily Mail it was not possible for the technology to penetrate that deeply into the ground.
He said the idea that it proves an underground city existed is “a huge exaggeration”.
But he said it was conceivable small structures, such as shafts and chambers, may be present from before the pyramids were built.
He highlighted how “the Mayans and other peoples in ancient Mesoamerica often built pyramids on top of the entrances to caves or caverns that had ceremonial significance to them”.
The work by Prof Malanga and fellow researchers Filippo Biondi and Armando Mei was previously discussed during a briefing in Italy last week.
The project’s spokesman, Nicole Ciccolo, shared a video on Saturday of the trio discussing the findings that are yet to be published in a scientific journal.
Tumblr media
Tomographic images could indicate internal artificial structures under the pyramid - Khafre Project.
The team focused on the Khafre pyramid, which, along with Khufu and Menkaure pyramids, make up the three in the Giza complex.
The pyramids are thought to have been built some 4,500 years ago and sit on the west bank of the Nile river in northern Egypt.
The vertical shafts identified below the ground were about 33 to 39 feet in diameter, located at a depth of at least 2,130 feet, the researchers said, adding that they may support the pyramid, which needs “a strong foundation, otherwise it may sink”.
The team showed an image created by using the pulses which they claim includes “a complex, luminous structure with distinct vibrations” they believe is “an actual underground city”.
“The existence of vast chambers beneath the earth’s surface, comparable in size to the pyramids themselves, have a remarkably strong correlation between the legendary Halls of Amenti,” Ms Ciccolo said.
Tumblr media
A 3D model displays the structures inside the central part of the Pyramid of Khafre - Khafre Project.
Prof Malanga and Mr Biondi published a separate peer-reviewed paper in October 2022 in the scientific journal Remote Sensing, which found hidden rooms and ramps inside Khafre, along with evidence of a thermal anomaly near the pyramid’s base.
The new study used similar technology but with extra help from satellites orbiting Earth.
Radar signals from two satellites about 420 miles above Earth were directed into the Khafre pyramid.
The experts then monitor how they bounce back and convert the signals into sound waves, which allows them to “see” through the solid stone and map out underground structures in 3D.
Prof Malanga claimed the results had been “completely consistent” and using two satellites ruled out the chance of “misinterpretation”.

looks like the minor drama of Hong Kong winning gold for men's foil hasn't reached tumblr (to be fair, seems like my side of tumblr doesn't care about the Olympics at all; not a one of you is posting about it) but it HAS been very funny on the other platforms.
Basically, the final match was our guy (Cheung Kalong) and an Italian athlete (Filippo Macchi). it was incredibly close in which the refs had to review video footage of the bout to determine who was the winner, and they chose Cheung. medals were given out, etc. etc. eeeeexcept the president of the Italian Fencing Federation has raised a big stink that Macchi should have won and accused the refs, who are South Korean and Taiwanese, of favouring Hong Kong because he opines that these countries are, I kid you not, "geographically close"
...what makes you think a Taiwanese person would want to hear "March of the Volunteers" in any given situation. sir these are whole ass other countries and cultures. also, as some HKers are pointing out, they clearly were okay with it when Czech and German refs called the semifinal that brought Macchi to the next round... much "geographically closer" to Italy than SK is to HK!!
Macchi is cool though, since he's gone on record to say that he respects the decision. Hong Kongers have chilled out on him now.
but, it didn't stop our Pizza Hut declaring that pineapple is a free topping on all pizzas until Thursday which is a wonderfully petty and therefore very Hong Kong-like move in general though I must say basic pineapple is far from the most abominable thing we've put on pizza.

Italian literature tournament - Famous beefs edition
Tumblr media
Giuseppe Ungaretti against Massimo Bontempelli in a duel hosted in Luigi Pirandello's house in 1926.
The second micro-tournament will be the "ILT - Famous beefs edition". It will take part right after the Commedia dell'Arte Tournament one that will finish today!
The title is almost self explanatory: I was reading months ago about some rpf fights and quarrels in history, some of them about italian historical figures, and just thinked to recreate certain famous divorces disputes in the italian literary canon and let choose your great minds what is the most sauchy! The other reason is that I wanted to give a gift to an important part of the ILT fanbase, the Dante Alighieri/Guido Cavalcanti fandom, insering them as cortenders (together).
IMPORTANT: the challenge will not be "author X vs author Y" but "beef X vs beef Y". The ony reason to do so is that - I think - some of these belligerent duos could be imbalanced due to some authors who aren't studied at school/university, making the choice towards the more famous one between the two very predicable. That doesn't mean that another beef edition could be created in the future and the choice will be made between authors.
Certainty of death, small chance of success… What are we waiting for?
I collected some famous disputes and put down to the list at the end of the post, but like the past edition of the principal tournament, I opened a google form for all of you if you want to insert your ideal beef that all of you want to see! There are two spaces, one for the two contenders and the other to explain briefly some lore/why you think is a juicy beef for us to know, in a way that at the end all the duos will have an explaination on why they're in this tournament.
Giuseppe Ungaretti vs Massimo Bontempelli
Ludovico Ariosto vs Torquato Tasso
Luigi Pulci vs Angelo Ambrogini Poliziano
Marsilio Ficino vs Giovanni Pico della MIrandola
Dante Alighieri vs Guido Cavalcanti (this is for you, tumblr)
Italo Calvino vs Pier Paolo Pasolini
Luigi Pirandello vs Grazia Deledda
Gabriele D'Annunzio vs Filippo Tommaso Marinetti
Gabriele d'Annunzio vs Alberto Savinio
Vincenzo Monti vs Ugo Foscolo

The UN high commissioner for refugees on Friday issued a stark warning about the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Sudan, emphasizing the urgent need for international attention, media coverage, and increased aid, Anadolu news agency reported. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Filippo Grandi highlighted the crisis that continues since April 2023 as one of the world’s largest, yet one that remains severely underreported. The civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces has plunged the country into chaos. Grandi expressed frustration over the lack of global awareness regarding Sudan’s deteriorating situation, despite repeated claims that it represents the biggest humanitarian crisis on Earth. He said that while conflicts in other parts of the world receive significant visibility, Sudan continues to be overlooked.
