the cato to annie pipeline is still real to me btw and something i think about because katniss is here thinking about both of them like "wow they are mentally ill" except she's legitimately scared of one and sees the other as docile/meek/an extension of her boyfriend/odd/non-threatening.

but what katniss doesn't seem to remember is annie came from a career district so not only could annie have easily been (and probably was) raised with a similar rhetoric/propaganda/mindset as cato but she also could have terrified the other kids in her arena the same way he did. they became trained killers but they're both exposed to the harsh realities of the arena, watch someone they care about die in a horrifically violent way, and lose themselves/their minds/what they were raised to believe in because of it

TURNsgiving Day 5 - Canon Ship Edit

Anna and Selah

I think I'm in the minority here, but I only wanted Anna with Selah. I assume the reason Selah was barely presently was Robert Beitzel was an H.BO actor, and thus, he could only appear in a limited number of eps in other network shows. And that sucks, 'cause I really wish (despite liking Robert) that they'd hired someone who could always be there, and create the historical badass power couple rather than the wishy-washy version we got. Anna didn't even seem happy in the end, which was a disappointment. Aside from one deleted scene (which is why I don't count it), Selah seemed like the perfect simp husband, and they should've given us the tavern motherTM rearing her kids and spying while Selah was onboard the Jersey.

Ben/Mary and Caleb/Anne

I get it. It was the series finale, and they probably didn't want to hire any new actresses, but I really would've loved to have seen Mary Floyd and Anne Lewis, rather than just having some lame namedrop like, "LoL btw, we're both engaged to awesome ladies." Seeing Ben being a shy, blushy mess around Mary, and Caleb suddenly having his wits (and drinking prowess) matched would've been both comical and endearing to see. I especially wanted to know the type of woman Anne was, given Caleb's little "meet cute" description.

Had. An extremely funny vision to revamp Moe's staff.

The design isn't super final, I can never really decide how I want the accents to look... trying to keep them in line with how the Askr trio's weapons look. Especially the signature color magic glow that's present in their special arts!!!

Anna has it too!!!!! You just don't see it bc her art gets cut off in game. Also, additional image bc you don't see the handle v well in her special.

Which is why, here, the green gem is most prominent on Moe's weapon.... geen....... idk if I'm keeping the other ones that look like the summoning circle orbs. It was just something I wanted to try out!

BUT. BUT. The Main Idea here is that Moe added its own touch to the staff. Yeah, the dangly halo was a Neat idea, but this concept is just so much funnier to me..... says SO much about Moe as a character... it is ALWAYS. Making and customizing things. I can also see Moe using the carabiner practically as well! Now, I wonder why it held onto those two feathers in particular... 🤔
