I don't know why everyone seems so upset, did no one wait to see the end credits?

also note how in the first movie Venom says "goodbye Eddie" before inexplicably surviving the rocket explosion and in this one he says "goodbye for now"

he will come back to him like he did the first time. and I have a feeling Eddie knows that deep down too, that's why he's not too broken over it

and they can move back to their apartment and get their chickens back and the government will be off their backs because they all think Venom is gone

it's a tragic love story in all senses of the word. it's baked into the beats of the film.

the helicopter scene, eddie finishing what they started by going to new york, the dang ship edit, venom admiring eddie in a suit, "ride me like a cowboy", 90% of the van stuff venom protecting eddie during the acid, the reach out and failed touch - and that's just some of the stuff from this film.

manage your expectations but also don't expect the narrative of a film for PG-13 mainstream audiences to lampshade alien fucking - that's not the genre convention of this film at all!!!!!

venom not healing eddie a lot in venom 3, only pivotal points where they absolutely had to, because he knew that eddie would have to be without them. venom was silently getting eddie used to hangovers and pain again to make themselves believe it'd be easier for eddie to live without venom that way

i really liked venom 3 i think it had a lot of heart. all the focus on the random hitchhiking family and how eddie and venom are so kind to them and the family helps them out too. dr payne and sadie who study symbiotes but genuinely care about them and want to understand the species. they disagree with killing eddie and venom to destroy the codex so sadie hosts venom to return him to eddie, and she and dr payne help them break out. random mrs chen intermission because she is literally the best and she offers eddie a shower and venom a dance. the plans to go to new york so venom can see lady liberty like he wants, and eddie going alone in his stead. venom and eddie expressing in their own ways wanting a family together, and wanting to stay as one. man i really do love the silly monster yaoi movies
