I love me some happy dorks smooching 🥹 I had this idea for a candid polaroid of these two idiots in love a while ago, but got super stuck on the lighting. You know what’s annoying? RENDERING THE FLASH OF A CAMERA. All the shadows are opposite of what your brain expects 😭
I’m so glad I picked it up again though - I learned some new skills and I needed some quality time with my comfort OTP this week 🥲

“There’s no denying any longer. He likes to think about you. Mainly about how quick he could get you to scream his name and forget everyone else.”
Rating: NSFW, Smut
CW: Low Honor Arthur, dirty thoughts, jacking off, gender neutral reader, top!Arthur Morgan, bottom!reader
Ship: Arthur Morgan/Reader
Arthur Morgan does not do romance.
Not after his failed relationship with Mary, who broke his heart to marry some guy her father actually approved of.
He took a turn after that, admittedly, having one night stands with anyone that glanced his way to fill the hole she left behind and getting drunk off his ass.
He robbed and killed as he saw fit.
Unhinged, Dutch called him. Maybe he was. Maybe he wasn’t. Who was Dutch to judge anyways?
The pattern continued— getting drunk followed by a one night stand, followed by robbing and killing in the morning— until Hosea stumbled back into camp with you in tow.
“Nearly killed me,” Hosea had laughed. You managed to rob him, nearly killed him, and he liked you enough to bring you back to camp.
Dutch liked you, too. Everyone did.
Expect for Arthur.
You’d annoy him into bringing you along for jobs, to hunt, to go to town when camp got too stuffy. You wouldn’t leave him alone for whatever reason. In doing so, you forced him to break his usual pattern, but his attitude didn’t change.
He was still angry, but he didn’t kill innocent people and didn’t get so drunk and never spent a night with a woman again. How could he when you followed him like a lost dog?
Even when you weren’t physically there, you sure were mentally. Always watching like a hawk does it prey.
He got pent up after a while, used to having shameless hookups weekly, and found himself unable to take it any longer after losing his shit at Marston after a job gone wrong. He made camp hidden within the trees where nobody would find him and dealt with the issue himself.
He tried picturing a random woman as he wrapped his hand around his cock; nothing. He tried picturing some girls from the gang (Abigail, Molly, Mary-Beth, Sadie even!), and even that didn’t work.
Until his mind wandered to you.
His cock twitched in his hand as he thought about what he could do in order to shut you up and to leave him alone. Unwillingly, his hand started to jerk faster as he got into it.
He’d picture fucking your mouth deep and rough, making you take his cock all the way. And maybe he pictured you swallowing his seed like it was the best thing you ever tasted. Then he’d fuck you properly; slow at first, make you beg and plead for more before transitioning into a much more faster and rougher style.
In short, you’d forget your name. Forget everyone else existed but him.
Arthur grunted, spilling in his hand.
There’s no denying any longer.
He likes to think about you. Mainly about how quickly he could get you to scream his name and forget everyone else.
He wondered if you’d be interested in a benefits relationship since you won’t stop following him.

sometimes you need a break from sad and need to imagine modern au gang having a nice picnic in which they did not invite dutch or micah (who is convincing dutch hes being betrayed right now)im thinking
dutch: they’re probably all out there now…talking to those agents…taking the bribes…
then the camera cuts to arthur sketching bill and cain, who are playing at the other side of the field
hosea is aggressively applying sunscreen to sean because he wont put it on himself
lenny is reading and accidentally eating all the baby tomatoes that are meant for sandwiches
tilly and marybeth are making daisy chains while karen is asleep
john and jack are also asleep and john has wrapped his arms around jack, whos on his chest (abigail has taken 105 pictures and counting). they’ll be knocked out the whole time, they ate so much cookies and cheese and chips/crisps and cakes and sandwiches it was inevitable.
charles is laying on arthur and watching him sketch. hes not asleep though, hes just resting his eyes, trust me.
molly applied her sunscreen and is now getting the tan she deserves. she wonders why she feels so much calmer without dutch there.
there were horses in the nearby field so. you know what kierans up too.
after being attacked with sunscreen (hes irish and ginger, its for his own good) seans making his eighth sandwich with all the toppings. hes also telling everyone about when him and his da would go for picnics, and they find it quite wholesome so they dont stop him until he gets tearful.
sadie is eating strawberries and praying a horse kicks kieran or the farmer shoots him.
javier brought his guitar but hes eating, so he’ll play later. he cant even tell a story because his mouth is full of so much cookie.
miss grimshaw is protecting the food with her life from the pesky ants, seans legs when he constantly gets up and down, and lenny.
strauss is making the most ungodly food combos, he also had a picnic 20-30 years ago that ended in absolute trauma, so he’ll be sure to fill the gang in on that. lovely change from seans story.
uncle wasn’t invited. hes asleep somewhere in the field because he came anyway. he also took a box of cookies. (arthur thinks hes going crazy because he swore he bought another box but its nowhere to be found)
reverend is admiring the scenery, he finds it a good distraction for the early days of staying sober.
abigail is playing photographer for her kind of big instagram following shes not meant to have.

Oooooo, I have a First crush idea… Maybe…
You know most kids will be against their parent showing affection or having affection, what if Abby was like My Bucky and cockblocking (on purpose but not) because she thinks abuvky is her boyfriend…
Tumblr media
"N'asha! Lookit!" Abby runs out of the dressing room. "It's so pretty!"
You peek your head out of the dressing room to watch Abby twirl in a circle to show off to Natasha. You chose this dress because you thought it was the perfect blue to match Bucky's eyes.
You had given up buying coffee for the past month in order to save money for a new outfit for Abby's Daddy/Daughter Dance at her daycare. It wasn't a formal or anything, but you wanted her to have a new outfit, accessories... everything. It was a real big deal to Abby, so that made it a big deal for you, too. You wanted her to enjoy the moment.
"I think that's my favorite one yet, Abby."
Abby runs over & hugs Natasha. "I tink I wants it."
Natasha looks over Abby's head at you & you nod happily. "Then I think you should get it."
Abby squeals & runs back to you, "Mama! I loves it so much!"
"So, this is it? This is the dress you want?"
Hopping up and down, "Yes, please!"
Proudly walking out of the store with her dress secured in her backpack, Abby is ready to continue her girls day shopping trip with Mama & N'asha. You went to the drugstore to pick out new nail polish and found decals small enough to fit on her nails. You had to veto the request for make up. No way! Who does this kid think she is? She just cackled and followed Natasha out of the store.
******
Bucky arrives right on time, dressed in a navy suit with a white tee underneath. Knocking on your door, he hears Abby squeal and the jiggling of the doorknob. "I's ready!" More jiggling, "Mama, helps!" After a longer time than he expected, you open the door, letting him in.
"Hey, doll." He leans in to kiss you. Looking around expecting to see Abby, you give him a big smile on the verge of laughing.
"Abigail, your date is here."
You hear her feet running down the hallway, coming to a stop before she hits the living room, and she slowly makes her big entrance. Very demure. Very cutsie.
Bucky's trying to hold in his laughter, he can almost see her vibrating like a barely contained ball of energy. "Hello. I'm here to pick up Abigail Rose. We have a date to a dance."
"Bucky, it me!" She hops up & down.
"Abby?! You looks so grown up! You're not my little girl," faking disbelief.
Giggling, "Yes, I am! It's me!" Standing behind Bucky you signal her to twirl and she does. Bucky kneels down laughing.
"You look so pretty!" He wraps her in a hug and she rests her cheek on his shoulder and he hears a little sigh, which makes him smile more.
She pulls away, "Tank you."
Bucky opens up a florist container holding a mini wrist corsage. "Back in my day, you always brought a pretty lady flowers when you took her to a dance." It's just 2 pink rosebuds with ferns and baby's breath, but it's perfect for her tiny wrist.
"Tank you, Bucky! Mama, lookit!!" Abby runs to you to show off her flowers. You're close to tears. You've been taking videos and pictures, trying to capture how thrilled Abby is. All because of this sweet man. You look over at Bucky, "It's perfect." You see him blush.
After a few more pictures, you slide your phone into your pocket. You grab your jacket but Abby is all, "You can't comes, Mama. Dis MY dates." You're shocked speechless.
"I...I was just going to walk to the school with you."
"No, Mama. You stays home." Bucky's laughing and not helping matters.
Frowning, you hang up your jacket, "Oh, ok." Bucky picks Abby up and you get the door for them. "You guys have fun, ok?" You kiss her chubby cheek. "Be a good girl and listen to Bucky. No tricking him."
"Tank you, Mama! I be good. I pwomise!" She's so happy and excited. You go in to kiss Bucky goodbye and Abby's palm is across your mouth, "Don't kiss my date, Mama."
Bucky cocks an eyebrow at you and shrugs in amusement. "We'll be back in a couple hours, doll."
You softly mumble, "whatever." Bucky laughs and you paste a smile on your face and wave them off.
"Love you's, Mama! Bye!" Abby waves and throws you a kiss. You see her do a happy wiggle in Bucky's arms as they disappear into the elevator.
Abby is a menace! On a brighter note, you won't have to worry about heart-eyed school teachers or single mothers hitting on Bucky. They'll never get past Abigail Rose.

Summary: Bradley was miserable without you, and the pain just wasn't lessening even though you left him weeks ago. He needed to find a way to move on, because you didn't want him, and you weren't coming back. But he should have known there was no substitute for the best thing he'd ever had.

Length: 5000 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x female reader

Weeks later...
As you flew to Vancouver from Detroit, you thought about that six hour flight to Boston where you hadn't stopped crying for a single minute. You thought about leaving San Diego and how it broke your heart to move on to the next city and the next assignment. At least this time you had a window seat instead of the middle seat in the last row. And this time you weren't continually wiping your tears on Bradley's Padres jersey.
You had his jersey on again today, but this time you felt calm as you reached into your bag to take out your computer and read over the research you'd outlined about the Vancouver Canucks. Your eyes caught on the blue golf ball, and after a second of hesitation, you reached for that instead.
You'd taken it everywhere with you. It joined you in every hotel room, on every flight and in every rental car. You had it with you in your tote bag when you were in Boston about a month ago working on the exclusive with the Bruins' coaching staff. You were carrying it when you bumped into Abigail Archer for the first time in person.
With your article completely forgotten now, you dug your phone out of your pocket. It was in airplane mode, but you took a deep breath and unlocked it. You had to scroll a bit to get to the text thread with Bradley, and then you tapped his name and you almost let the tears rise to the surface. You held them back as you read the series of sporadic messages he'd sent you since early November.
I miss you.
Did you make it to Boston safely?
Ace, please call me back. I miss you so much.
I have this whole weekend off, and I can't help but think it would be easy for me to fly to wherever you are. If you would want that.
I still miss you.
I hope you're doing well.
You hadn't responded to a single one of them. And you never called him back either. But sometimes, when you were in a hotel room in a city that you couldn't even identify without looking at your calendar app, you'd get lonely enough to listen to his voicemail message. See ya, Ace.
It took until you met Bradley Bradshaw for you to really understand just how lonely you were. Going back to your apartment in New York City didn't feel like going home. There was nothing there that made you smile. There were no baseball cards or too small Angels tee shirts. There was no Bradley making sure you were taking a break when you needed one.
And he was part of the reason why you let yourself start to be convinced that you could have more out of your career. Maybe he was right. Somebody else might have something better to offer than Greg or the New York Times. When you talked to Abigail and started to test the waters, it wasn't as terrifying as you thought it would be. Making some calls to see what else was out there ended up validating one fact for you: Bradley was right, your writing was in high demand.
But you had to complete your contract with Greg before you could do much else. And that included Detroit and Vancouver. But you hoped after this, your work-life balance might improve. If you decided to take this information back to Bradley, you hoped he would listen to you. Maybe he would even see what you wrote about your career change in your Detroit Red Wings article. If he was even still reading your articles. There was a chance he might still miss you now, and maybe he'd understand that you needed to see the bigger picture for yourself first.
Before you left him alone in his bed, he told you that you knew where to find him. He made you feel like it was still okay to go there.
--------------------------
Bradley walked past his coffee table dressed in his flight suit with his travel mug of coffee in his hand. He paused at the front door and looked back at the mess he still couldn't bring himself to clean up. You left him weeks ago, damn near a month ago, but he just couldn't bring himself to clean up all of the fucking baseball cards.
He closed his eyes and took a calming breath. He was being ridiculous. He was never ridiculous before he met you, so you must have made him this way. Every time he tried to clean them up and put them back out in his garage, his hands faltered and he left the cards out on the table. It was like some sort of sick reminder that you'd really been here with him. It was a way to convince himself he didn't imagine up the perfect woman in his mind and then have to live through the aftermath of watching her leave.
He tightened his fingers around his mug and rubbed the heel of his other hand against his eyes. Then he took his phone out. He knew he shouldn't do it since you never answered his other messages before, but he texted you anyway.
I hope you're doing well.
When he re-read what he'd sent, he started to panic. It sort of sounded like he meant it with an air of finality. The last thing he wanted was for you to think that he didn't want to hear from you, because it was quite the opposite. There were times when he felt so lonely, he'd have done anything for you to write to him or call him back.
He swore he could still smell you in his house, and right now it felt a little too much like you were there. He wrenched his front door open and slammed it closed behind him, breathing in the crisp December morning air. He had to start making some changes, and he needed to do it this week. You weren't going to respond to him. After four weeks he should accept that as a fact and stop bugging you.
He'd been skipping Hard Deck nights and leaving the locker room after work without really talking to anyone. Nat knew why he was miserable, but even she seemed surprised it had gone on for this long.
A few days ago, she said, "You've never behaved like this over a woman before. This has all just been very surprising, and I don't know how to help you."
Bradley had shrugged and laughed sarcastically. "Well, I fell in love with her. First time for everything, right? I'll know better for next time."
And that was the truly fucked up part. He had fallen in love with you over the course of ten days. As he drove to work, he thought about your face and your voice. He knew exactly how many miles he put on his Bronco driving back and forth to see you at the games in Anaheim. He knew exactly how much money he spent on all the tickets. He knew how badly it hurt right now to be without you. And he knew he'd repeat everything all over again if he could see you for five minutes.
Just like every other day, he had to collect himself before he could head inside to the locker room. There was no getting his time with you back. There was no second chance. There was no communication. He needed to stop. He took off his aviators that you'd liked so much and set them in his cup holder. When he checked the time on his phone, he had a notification that a new article from you had been posted eight minutes ago. It was like this every day. He'd wait to see each morning if you'd written anything, and then after it was posted, he'd read it at least three times.
Your final World Series article was the worst one. It was released two days after you left. He must have read it a hundred times. He'd even take a screenshot of the short passage he was certain was about him.
This World Series was exciting and dynamic for so many reasons. We witnessed some of the best major league pitching in the last decade, and there were more stolen bases than the past three finals combined. Professionally, I may never witness anything like this again. And I can even tell you that on a personal level, I was profoundly changed for the better by everything I allowed myself to experience and enjoy between San Diego and Anaheim over the course of the series.
Bradley looked at his phone screen now. It had to stop. He desperately wanted to read your article on the Detroit Red Wings, but he needed to make this feeling stop. It was like he was constantly in pain every time he thought about you or even simply read your name on his phone. Your written words were never going to help him move on, so he needed to do something about it right now while he felt like he could.
He deleted the New York Times app. He thought about deleting your number as well, but he needed to save some of his strength to get through his workday. So he just tucked his phone in his pocket and climbed out of the Bronco.
---------------------------
When Bradley walked into the Hard Deck on Friday night after work, he felt defeated and exhausted. He managed to delete the app you wrote for, but he still couldn't bring himself to delete your phone number. Moving on was a necessity right now. He didn't even know why he bothered to come to the bar, but staying home and looking at baseball cards on his coffee table didn't seem to be helping him.
"You're here!" Nat called out as soon as he walked inside. The bar was decorated for Christmas. Was it that close to the holidays? He'd completely lost track of the weeks, but at the same time, he knew exactly how many days it had been since he'd seen you. His mind was too aware of that number, and it tacked a new one on each day.
"Hey," Bradley managed to grunt when his friend came over to him and wrapped him up in a hug. The Christmas tree and the strings of lights blurred, and he had to close his eyes. He was missing the feel of your arms around him and the way you smelled. None of this was Nat's fault or anyone's fault really. Bradley didn't even blame you. He couldn't. You and he were nothing.
"Let me get you a drink," Nat whispered, and she took him by the hand. He recognized the upbeat Christmas song, and he saw the guys waving from the pool table. But when he turned to face the bar, Shannon was right there with her usual smile and a pint glass in her hand. He didn't know why he wasn't expecting her. The last time he saw her was when he brought you here, and he'd give anything to go back to that night.
Bradley just shook his head. "Something stronger. Please." Shannon raised one eyebrow at him and set the pint glass down in favor of a whiskey tumbler and a bottle of Johnnie Walker. "Yeah."
"Haven't seen you around in a few weeks," she said, watching the amber liquid slosh neatly up the side of the glass as she poured. "Kinda missed you." She met his eyes as she pushed the glass across the bar. "You look so sad."
He held eye contact with her, trying his best to push the intrusive thoughts away. "Maybe I'll be around more now," he muttered, downing the whole drink in one go and setting the glass down again.
Shannon was familiar to him. Comfortable. He'd been messing around with women for damn near two decades without any deep feelings. You were really his first foray into something... more. But you were gone. You didn't want to talk to him. You weren't coming back.
She refilled his glass and said, "Take this one a little slower, Bradley." He nodded before downing it just like the first one, and she kind of smirked and shook her head. "You'll pay for this in the morning."
He laughed sardonically. "That's the idea." He left the empty glass on the bar with a little nod indicating that he would be back. He desperately needed to clear his head, but he'd been trying everything for weeks. Taking a walk outside, having a cold shower, going for a drive. Nothing fucking helped.
He needed to forget the feel of your body and the sound of your voice. So he drank an extravagant amount of Johnnie Walker on Nat's tab, and he started to feel looser. He laughed at her when she asked how many he had so far.
"Don't worry. I'll pay you back," he rasped with a smile that he knew could charm every woman except for his best friend.
She just rubbed her hand up and down his arm and said, "I hope you know what you're doing. Let me know when you want me to get you home."
He kissed her cheek. "I'm fine, Nat. Just fine." He finished his tumbler and tried to remember if that was his fifth or his sixth, but it didn't matter. He was warm now, and his lips were a little numb. This was exactly what he needed tonight. After he shot a round of pool and lost, he flipped through the jukebox, but it was all bullshit Christmas music. He wasn't in the mood. He thought about playing the piano, but there was an empty stool at the bar now, so he headed in that direction.
"One more?" Bradley asked Shannon as he sat, and she reached out to touch his cheek.
"You sure you really need one?"
"Yep," he said, swallowing against the lump in his throat as she swam out of focus for a split second. "Just one more. It'll make it easier."
She turned away from him to get one more clean glass. Then she filled it for him. "Thanks, Shannon," he muttered when she set it down in front of him. He was leaning on his propped up hand, and he knew she was kind of pretty. But he knew you were prettier and funnier and smarter.
"You can't have what you want," he mumbled to himself after Shannon walked away. He pulled his phone out of his pocket, unlocked it and just looked at the screen. Delete it. He had to. He opened his contacts, and there you were right at the fucking top.
Ace
You'd always be at the top, wouldn't you?
Instead of deleting your number, he sent you a text before he could reconsider.
Ace, I fell in love with you.
Fuck. Fuck! You didn't want him. And there was no way to take that message back now. He closed his eyes and shook his head, because he couldn't tell if he was about to cry or laugh. He was fucking miserable. Truly, he'd never experienced this before, and it hurt like hell. His thumb hovered over your name once again, but he couldn't delete it. He drank the whiskey and tried again. But still nothing.
He watched Shannon move around behind the bar. She wasn't you. She wasn't what he wanted, but when she announced that it was last call, she made her way over to him.
"But no more for you," she teased, reaching to take his glass away. But he had her wrist in his hand before he registered what he was doing. She looked a little surprised. The tears were in his eyes again, but maybe it wasn't so obvious to her. He couldn't say the words. He needed her to be the one. When he licked his lips, she leaned a little closer. "I'm done in fifteen. Are you interested? Or are you too drunk?"
He took a deep breath as his eyes closed. He needed to try to move on. The pain needed to stop, or else he didn't know what he would do. Right now he was numb enough. It was now or never. "I'm interested."
Bradley was very aware of what he was doing, it just vaguely seemed like someone else was doing it. He gave his keys to Shannon once they were outside. "Remember where I live?" he asked, walking toward the Bronco.
"Of course I do," she whispered.
He found himself with his back against the passenger side door with Shannon's lips on his. It felt fine. Would probably feel better the more he got used to it again. He could do this. He kissed her back and told her to drive, because he knew he shouldn't.
She drove and parked and took him by the hand, leading him inside his house. As soon as he saw the baseball cards, he wanted to upend his coffee table. He wanted to do this and get it over with and go to sleep for a week. And if he didn't feel better after that, then he didn't know what he was going to do.
When Shannon tried to turn on his bedroom light, he took her hand in his and guided it away from the switch. "Too bright," he mumbled, and she started to get undressed. He stumbled across the hallway to the bathroom and closed the door. When he looked in the mirror, he'd never seen anything quite so pitiful. He splashed a little water on his face, but it just made his flushed cheeks stand out more. He dug around under the sink for some condoms he thought he still had. When his hand closed around the box, he sat back against the wall and cried.
He had no idea how long he was in the bathroom. He took his shirt off and used it to wipe his face. You didn't want him. He went back to his bedroom where Shannon was naked on his bed, her skin glowing in the light filtering in from the bathroom where he forgot to flip the switch off.
"Fuck," he grunted, running his fingers through his hair. But she must have taken that as a sign that he was ready to go. He wasn't, but he told himself he was. She touched him, and he let her. She kissed him some more, and he let her do that, too. He reciprocated. He knew to do that much. But it didn't feel like anything. He fucked her, but it just wasn't right. And then he fell asleep with a throbbing head and an aching heart and the wrong woman next to him.
-----------------------
It had been years since Bradley had a hangover. When he opened his eyes, his left arm was hanging off of his bed, and his face was halfway smashed in his pillow. His mouth was completely dry, and he tried to press his lips together and swallow. He had no idea how he got home or what time it was.
"Oh, shit," he groaned. He texted you last night. When he was sitting at the bar. He was pretty sure he told you he fell in love with you. He knew you wouldn't write back. You must have blocked his number by now. He was probably texting nobody by this point, but it still hurt like hell that you didn't want him the way he wanted you.
Then he remembered what he did after he texted you, and the bile rose in his throat so quickly. Shannon was right there next to him when he turned his head. He let her sleep over. He never let her sleep over before this. She was in your spot. He needed her gone immediately.
"Hey," he grunted, his throat like sandpaper. "Shannon. You need to leave."
She rolled over and glared at him. "Still tired," she whispered, completely naked in his bed.
"Please," he begged. He was so fucking stupid, it was incredible. Now he was miserable and hungover and angry with himself. "I need you to."
She sighed and stretched, and Bradley made a beeline for the bathroom, stepping on a condom wrapper on the way. At least there was that. Then he emptied the contents of his stomach into the toilet. He sat back against the wall for a few minutes, afraid there might be more he had to throw up. He knew his head was throbbing due more to the fact that he regretted everything he did last night with Shannon than him drinking most of a bottle of whiskey.
There was tapping on the door. "If you want me to leave, I need to use the bathroom."
"Give me a minute," he groaned, standing up and looking at himself in the mirror. There were dark circles under his eyes and he looked pale. When he brushed his teeth, he felt the tears burning behind his eyes once again. Was this ever going to stop? It had been more than a month.
Bradley rinsed his mouth and opened the door, barely looking at Shannon as she walked past him, still naked. He went back into his bedroom for a pair of clean underwear and some gym shorts and fought the urge to put all of his bedding in the washing machine. He couldn't even be in here right now, so he left for the kitchen. And he passed the fucking baseball cards again. He would have to throw them away or ask someone to come get them, because he needed them gone as much as he needed Shannon to leave.
As he turned on his coffee maker, he heard someone knocking on his front door. He already wanted this fucking day to end. He tried not to look at the baseball cards as he passed the table and wrenched his front door open, and then his jaw dropped in surprise.
"Bradley. Hi."
He braced his hand against the door frame as he looked at you standing there on his tiny porch. You were wearing his Padres jersey. He had to be hallucinating. This had to be a dream. You were here.
"Ace."
He watched your face light up at the nickname, and you laughed softly as you examined him like you'd been dying to see him. He gripped the doorframe a little harder as he reached his other hand out to cup your chin and feel your silky skin.
"Holy shit, Baby. What are you doing here?" His heart was pounding, but he felt somehow normal again. Just like he had five weeks ago before you left him in a state of panic.
"I came to see you." He stroked his thumb along your lip, but you didn't back away. In fact you took a tiny step closer as you added, "I have to be up in Anaheim tomorrow afternoon for some Ducks interviews, but I wanted to see you first. I thought we could talk."
Your eyes were open and earnest, and Bradley felt weak as he looked at his jersey on you. He let his hand drop away from your face, because he had no idea what to say to you right now. He had convinced himself he'd never see you again. "Did you get my texts? Or did you block my number?"
You pressed your lips together and then whispered, "I got your texts. And I've listened to your voicemail a lot. I've missed you." Bradley watched you smile tentatively and give him a little shrug.
"You missed me," he said in disbelief. "And you got my messages. And you missed me. And you're wearing my jersey."
You looked down at yourself and laughed. "I've been wearing pretty frequently, actually. Turns out I don't have a dress code at my new office, which ironically is in Houston now, but I hardly ever have to be there in person."
When you met his eyes again, he asked. "New office?" He was so confused as he reached out and stroked your cheek with his fingers again just to try to make sure you were still real.
"Yeah," you said softly, taking another step closer to him. "I have you to thank for that. I have you to thank for a lot of things." You bit your lip before you said, "I left the New York Times. I just finished my last assignment for Greg yesterday. I'm working on a brand new piece now. I actually begged my new employer to let me come back to California for the Anaheim Ducks article even though it's a bit of a fluff piece, because it meant I could come here and tell you that I'm happier now."
"You are?" he asked, unsure what you meant by that. He was having a hard time listening to your voice and looking at your face at the same time, and he wondered how he'd managed ten days in your presence for the World Series. You were just so overwhelmingly perfect.
"Yes, Bradley. You made me think about my career, and I kind of took the time to change some of my priorities. Because if there's a man as incredible as you who is willing to take a chance on me, then I can take the same kind of chance on myself."
"Ace."
You smiled up at what he was sure was a look of longing on his face. "I'm working for Velocity Report now, and I'm going to have a lot more time off between assignments. Which is important, because you reminded me that I need to take breaks and eat and take care of myself. Even when you're not around."
"I loved doing that for you," he gasped, suddenly dying to kiss you.
"Yeah, well, you were really good at it," you said as your smile faded a little bit. "But that's why I'm here. To tell you all of this in person. You deserve to hear it in person instead of over the phone, especially since I never responded to you. I wanted to, but I just wasn't ready until now. And I don't know if you read what I said about you in my Detroit Red Wings article... but, I still miss you. And I love you."
His heart was pounding so hard, he thought he was going to pass out. "You love me?" he asked, absolutely needing you to say it again for him as your eyes drifted to where the box of baseball cards was still out on the coffee table.
Your smile grew as you reached out for his hand and tugged him closer like you were going to kiss him. "Yes, I do. I love-"
Bradley heard a noise behind him, and his heart sank as his eyes went wide. You were looking off to the side, and he heard Shannon's voice. "Oh, sorry." He turned to see her with a puzzled look on her face. He had completely forgotten she was even here. After a few minutes in your presence, you were the only thing that mattered.
"Oh my god," you gasped, wrenching yourself away from Bradley. "Oh, fuck." You looked at him with your hands on your forehead and tears in your eyes. "You know what? Forget I was even here. I'm sorry," you gasped, turning on your heel and walking full speed across his yard to the black car that was parked at his curb.
It took him a second, but then he was right behind you. "Ace! No, Baby, you don't understand." But it didn't look like you were listening as you dug the keys to your rental car out of your pocket. "Ace! Please!" He ran barefoot out onto the street to try to beat you to the car door, but you were too fast. When he reached for your hand and spun you around to face him, you had tears streaming down your cheeks.
He was frozen, clinging to your hand as you whispered, "She's the bartender. I should have never come here."
"No," he begged, stepping into your personal space, but you kept dodging him. "It's nothing. I want you here. I need you here."
But you pulled your hand free and reached for the door handle as you sobbed, and it broke Bradley's heart. "I need to go."
He was ready to drop to his knees. "She doesn't mean anything, Ace! Please! I missed you too, Baby! I've been miserable without you, okay? You have no idea."
You wouldn't even look at him now as you pushed him out of the way so you could climb in the car. He felt all of his dreams slipping through his fingers twice now as you slammed the door closed, started the engine and drove.
"Ace!" he shouted running alongside your door until you hit the accelerator and left him standing in the middle of his street without shoes on. "Ace. I love you," he whispered as you turned left at the end of his block, and then you were out of sight.
Bradley sank down until he was squatting with his face buried in his palms. "Fuck!" he screamed, the sound only slightly muffled as he jumped up to his feet and made his way back to his house where Shannon was standing on his porch. She looked disgusted as another car pulled up in front of his house.
"Why are we sleeping together if you're clearly in love with her?" she asked, barely looking at him as she headed toward her Uber. "You should go take care of that."
As Bradley watched her away, he tried to pinpoint exactly how he'd fucked all of this up. He wondered if there was any way to fix it. Once again, he couldn't breathe correctly as that crushing feeling returned to his lungs. This feeling has vanished for those few minutes he was with you again.
"Maybe you don't even deserve her," he told himself as he walked back inside alone, thinking about how for a minute there, you'd loved him back.

Cupid in Bali~Jamal Musiala
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I might start putting pictures like these instead of the gifs cuz they're prettier. also first Jamal fic hope you enjoy <3 long fic ahead.
you can request from my prompt list
this is my master list
players/drivers I write for
All these characters are made up and not real!!!
The Characters: Jason & Leah, Ethan & Serena, Tyler & Emma, Carlos & Abigail, and Jamal & y/n
"I'm on my way. are you done?" Leah said through the phone to y/n.
"I am, I'll be waiting for you" y/n replied, walking her suitcase into the elevator. Her bag was on her back and she was in some comfortable clothes for the very long trip ahead of them.
They were gonna be a group of 10, 5 girls and 5 boys. Funny thing is how all of them were in couples, except for y/n and Jamal. Of course people will say that they go along very well, which was the most inaccurate thing to be said about those two. They were basically enemies.
y/n exited the elevator, and stood outside waiting for her friend that was gonna take her to the airport. It only took 2 minutes for Leah to arrive, but not alone. She had her boyfriend, Jason, in the passenger seat, and Jamal...in the backseat.
y/n rolled her eyes, opening the rear of the car and placing her suitcase and bag there, then opening the backdoor, sitting next to Jamal.
"hey guys" she said as soon as she sat in her seat. Both Leah and Jason greeted her back, while Jamal just rolled his eyes and huffed.
y/n ignored his presence, while the drive to the airport was silent.
~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~
"Okay guys, so as you know we have a very long trip ahead of us. Our first stop will be in the United Arab Emirates. From there, we have to take another plane to Singapore. After landing in Singapore, we will stay in the same plane, and leave for Bali. About 7 hours between Germany and the Emirates, then 7 hours between the Emirates and Singapore, and about an hour and a half between Singapore and Bali" Tyler explained, while everyone listened.
It was going to be a very long trip. Everyone checked in and got in their seats. And lucky for y/n, her seat was on the window.
"you've got to be kidding me" y/n heard, so she looked up, seeing the guy she was planning on avoiding the whole trip so she can have a good time. Jamal.
"what is it now?" she rolled her eyes at him, only for him to sit down next to her.
"your seat is here?" she said, already knowing his answer. He huffed and nodded, crossing his arms over his chest. She let out a sigh, knowing it's gonna be a very long trip.
~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~
The first part of the trip was a bit quiet. Jamal didn't speak much and y/n was just watching a couple of movies she had. When she finished her movies, they still had about 20 minutes to land in the Emirates.
She was getting bored, and started moving a bit in her seat. Jamal, who has been trying to sleep, all the trip looked at her annoyed.
"Can you stop moving " he complained. She let out a sigh, sliding down in her seat
"I'm bored" she mumbled.
"now that you have nothing to do you're complaining? I've been trying to sleep for 6 hours but I didn't say a word." he rolled his eyes, before closing them and trying to fall asleep again.
"we land in a while I don't think it's a good time to sleep" y/n pointed out, making him sigh
"better than hearing your voice till we land" he said rudely. y/n was taken back a bit by his response, but only looked away from him and to the window, where the sun was setting in a beautiful way.
She ignored him for the rest of the time until they landed. After they landed, everyone got their bags and met each other.
Some got food, and others got coffee, until it was time to get on the plane again. Another 6 to 7 hours to Singapore. This time y/n was sat next to one of her friends, Abigail, where they talked for a bit then went to sleep as it was almost midnight.
~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~
When they landed in Bali, it was almost 4 am in the morning, meaning that they were going to sleep more before starting their vacation.
"I'm sorry y/n, but you're gonna have to share a room with Jamal" Tyler said, making y/n sigh. She knew that all the girls wanted to sleep with their boyfriends, but she thought that maybe one of them would sacrifice the sleep with her boyfriend so y/n wouldn't sleep in the same room with Jamal. I guess not.
She let out a sigh, nodding her head. She had no energy to argue with any of them, nor did she have the energy to stay standing. She just wanted some sleep.
Jamal noticed her tired figure, so he took their room key and helped her carry her bags.
"I'll take her to our room, good night everyone" Jamal said, before walking behind y/n with both of their bags.
Everyone looked at each other, confused by Jamal's nice behavior towards y/n, but they were secretly happy that the two might actually get over whatever problems were between them.
Meanwhile, Jamal and y/n had reached their room, and already got in. y/n was almost asleep while walking, unaware of whatever was happening.
"y/n? are you gonna change before sleeping?" Jamal asked her, while she was walking to one of the beds. She dropped on one of them already asleep.
Jamal let out a sigh, walking to her and taking off her shoes. She was wearing comfortable clothes, so he decided to let her be.
~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~∙~
The next day arrived pretty quick as everyone was tired the previous night. The girls went shopping in the day, while the boys hung out together for a while. At night, they all decided to visit a club and party at the beach. At the end of the day, they were in Bali and every night was a party.
"Ready you guys? we are about to have the best first night in Bali!" Serena cheered, making all the girls cheer with her.
They were getting ready in Leah's room, and after they finished, they walked out all dolled up while their boys were waiting for them.
Each of the girls held the hand of her boyfriend, and started walking out of the hotel, leaving Jamal and y/n alone.
He looked her up and down, making her think he was going to comment about how she looks like always.
"you look nice" he said, taking her by surprise. She expected him to speak something mean, but he did the opposite.
"oh thanks" she mumbled, looking down at her sandals that suddenly seemed more interesting.
"well...we have to get going" Jamal said, putting his hand out for her. She looked at his hand suspiciously, making him sigh.
"let's just have a nice trip and not ruin it for anyone" he said, making her sigh but nod too.
"you're right. we should just get over our problems for our friends" She took his hand and walked behind the others, who already reached the party without them.
As soon as they stepped onto the beach where the party was, Jamal was pulled by Carlos who took him to where the boys were, leaving y/n alone. She pushed through the sweaty bodies, until she reached the bar where her friends stood.
"y/n, you took so long, we were just looking for you" Emma said, turning everyone's attention at her. She coughed awkwardly before speaking.
"um me and Jamal just talked for a bit" she said, looking away quickly.
"you two talked? about what exactly" Abigail asked, while everyone else looked at y/n waiting for an answer.
"nothing important, just that we should have fun on the trip" she shrugged, making the girls smile
"finally you two made up, it was about time" Leah said.
They ordered their drinks and started their own party. As the girls were dancing, y/n stood at the bar with her drink, just looking around the dance floor, until her eyes landed on Jamal, except he wasn't alone but with a girl next to him. They were talking and laughing seeming close.
For some reason her heart sank as she watched him laughing with another girl. A mix of jealousy and hurt clouded her thoughts. Despite their constant bickering, seeing him with someone else stirred unexpected emotions within her, making her feel a strange mix of emotions she couldn't quite understand.
She looked away immediately, afraid he might see her watching them and making fun of her. She turned to speak with one of her girls, only to see them all on the dance floor with their boyfriends.
She let out a sigh and turned to the bartender, refilling her drink. She took a huge sip, feeling herself loosen up a bit. Suddenly the music slowed down, and some people left the dance floor as couples started dancing in a slow dance.
y/n always felt lonely as a person who never had someone. But when she's with her friends they always made her feel included. However, this trip was different. The girls wanted to spend time with their boyfriends, and y/n could never blame them. They didn't have to cancel their plans, so she doesn't feel left out.
For some reason, her eyes drifted to where Jamal and that girl were, to see if they were dancing together or not. Instead, she didn't see them. Her eyes started scanning the place in panic, not seeing any of them anywhere.
"y/n" a voice from behind her startled her. She turned around to see Jamal standing there, his charming smile present on his face. He barely smiled at her as they're always arguing.
A small smile found y/n's face without noticing, as she saw the handsome boy standing in front of her.
"Jamal" she said in a low voice, feeling a relief wash over her.
"Would you like to dance with me?" his voice soft and a hint of nervousness in his eyes.
Y/n, touched by his shyness, smiled warmly and replied, "I'd love to dance with you, Jamal."
Jamal then extended his hand to y/n, leading her to the center of the dance floor with a gentle smile. Placing one hand on her waist and holding her other hand in his, they began to move gracefully to the music.
Their bodies swayed in harmony, creating a magical moment between them.
Their dance was delicate, each step was like a silent conversation between their hearts.
Jamal's touch was both reassuring and tender, guiding y/n with a sense of care and understanding.
As they moved across the dance floor, their bodies swayed in perfect harmony, lost in the enchanting melody that filled the air. The warmth of their embrace and the closeness of their dance spoke volumes, expressing more than words ever could.
It was a moment frozen in time, a dance of forgiveness, understanding, and newfound connection.
Their eye contact was intense. None of them daring to break it. As the dance was coming to an end, Jamal decided to speak up.
"I'm sorry for everything I've done and said for the past like 2 years. It was never my intention to make you hate me" he said in a gentle voice, making her smile
"it's okay. I've said some things too and I'm sorry about that. I just eneve understood why you hated me" she chuckled, making him shake his head
"i never hated you y/n. It just bothered me so much back then how you were close to everyone and we never talked. so i figured bickering and arguing with you would be the only way I can talk you because I really like you y/n and just wanted to talk to you in any way. And looking back at it now it wasn't the best way to approach you" he said laughing slightly making y/n laugh too
"obviously it wasn't. I just hope we can move past that because I like you too Jamal" she said, making him smile
"of course y/n. I wouldn't have asked for a dance if I didn't want us to start over" he said
She smiled back at him, leaning her head on his chest as they still swayed to the music. He pressed a small kiss on the top of her head, tightening his grip around her.
Their friends watched them from afar, realizing that their plan of getting them to make up has worked better than they thought it will.

Fucks me up that Hot Sauce is the same age as the Fourth duo in GtN. Because they let Hot Sauce be a kid; a sadly matured kid, a kid that knows and thinks too much but its sad because she's a kid.
Isaac and Jeane are quite almost active frontline military. They're young, thats acknowledged a lot in GtN but not in the same way as Hot Sauce and her gang. Because we saw the gang through the lense of a childlike teacher's aide, because we saw them as students, as kids with older people around them that were their older people as kids who ate fruit together on break and argued and fought and got to be kids, even in their war torn little school.
Isaac and Jeane were on equal footing with everyone else at Canaan house. The Heir to his house, and his Cavalier - the same rank as any other pair of them. Eager to fight, eager to die, seen mostly through the eyes of Gideon who didn't particually like them which took away some of that innocence. They felt younger in HtN because we mostly heard about them through Abigail
i was definately picturing hot sauce as younger until it directly said 14

each of the bachelor / bachelorette first reaction to the green rain event
Shane : Shane’s reaction goes exactly like this “ the fuck is going on out there” . He gets a message from his boss saying that he doesn’t have to go to work today because of the weather so Shane checks on the chickens and goes back to bed the green rain is his new favorite weather because he doesn’t have to go to work
Maru : Maru and Demetrius freaking out because nothing like this has ever happened before there taking all sorts off samples Demetrius brought out a hazmat suit ( he doesn’t actually think it’s that serious but he’s been looking for an excuse to use it) . Ultimately it’s determined to be a strange type of algae and moss spores (yes moss reproduces via spores) wired sure but harmless
Sam : Sam is stocking up on medical supplies just in case and trying to calm down Vincent but after receiving word from Maru and the news that the rain is harmless decided to make the best of it and go play out in the rain with Vincent because something like this might never happen again
Lean : despite the possible dangers lean goes foraging anyways gathering moss and weeds to use in future projects
Penny : spent the day reading despite the rains strange color she still finds it soothing
Abigail : she has to be physically restrained from trying to taste the green rain but ultimately just spends the day playing video games
Haley : is very concerned/ grossed out she takes a few pictures of the rain but spends the day playing board games with Emily
Harvey : is prepared for a worst case scenario he spends the entire day in the clinic waiting to see if anyone gets sick from the green rain
Emily : finds the rain oddly beautiful and would go outside to experience it. If it weren’t for Haley’s concerns
Sebastian : he woke up in the afternoon while Maru and Demetrius were testing the rain he goes outside anyway because “this green rain can’t be anymore dangerous than me smoking”
Alex : is prepared to go outside if necessary because he is the youngest and most healthy out of everyone at his house
Elliott : he’s so focused on writing writing that he doesn’t even notice the green rain until the afternoon when he took a break from writing

Tumblr media
The warm afternoon sun cast long shadows over the rolling hills of Stardew Valley, bathing the town in a golden glow. At the local arcade in the heart of the valley, Sam leaned against the counter, absently twirling a drumstick between his fingers. The arcade was alive with the sounds of electronic beeps and the clatter of buttons being pressed. Still, Sam’s attention was focused on the animated conversation between his friends, Abigail and Sebastian.
"...and then, she just took down those slimes like it was nothing!" Abigail exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement as she leaned towards Sebastian.
Sebastian nodded, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Yeah, the new farmer is pretty impressive," he agreed, taking a sip of his soda. "She’s been making quite a name for herself."
Sam’s curiosity was piqued. He had heard bits and pieces about the new farmer, but this was the first time he had seen Abigail so animated about anyone other than herself. "Who are you guys talking about?" he asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
"The new farmer, of course!" Abigail said, her eyes sparkling. "She moved into the old farmhouse and has been venturing into the mines. She’s fearless, Sam. You should meet her."
Sebastian nodded in agreement. "Yeah, she’s pretty cool. I think you’d like her."
Sam made a mental note to keep an eye out for this mysterious newcomer. If she had impressed both Abigail and Sebastian, she had to be something special. He imagined what she might be like, picturing someone strong and determined, a fresh face in their sleepy town. The thought made him smile, a new spark of excitement igniting within him.

A few days later, Sam was practicing his skateboard tricks near the town square. The wheels of his board clattered against the pavement as he attempted a particularly tricky maneuver, the warm breeze ruffling his hair. Just as he was about to land it, he caught sight of someone walking by—a lean figure with a confident stride that made his heart skip a beat.
The farmer.
Her presence was magnetic, drawing his eyes to her despite his best efforts to concentrate on his trick. As she walked, her movements were fluid and assured, exuding a quiet strength that left him breathless. She wore practical clothes—jeans and a sturdy jacket, with dirt smudged on her cheeks from a day’s work—but she held herself with such poise that she looked radiant.
Distracted, Sam stumbled and fell, landing in an ungraceful heap on the ground. His skateboard rolled away, coming to a stop a few feet from him.
The farmer laughed—a bright, melodic sound that made Sam’s cheeks flush. She walked over and offered him a hand. "You okay?" she asked, her smile warm and genuine.
"Y-yeah, I’m fine," Sam stammered, accepting her help. He got to his feet, brushing off his jeans. "Thanks. I’m Sam, by the way."
"Nice to meet you, Sam. I’m the new farmer," she replied, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Be careful with those tricks, okay? See you around." With a final smile, she continued on her way, leaving Sam staring after her, his heart pounding in his chest.
As she walked away, he found himself replaying the moment over and over in his mind. Her laughter, her smile, the way she had effortlessly lifted him up. He knew, without a doubt, that he wanted to see her again.

It wasn’t long before Sam found himself in the Stardrop Saloon with Sebastian, Abigail, and the farmer. The dimly lit saloon was filled with the hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses. The four friends gathered around the pool table, the air thick with friendly competition and the smell of Gus' home-brewed beer.
Sam leaned over the table, trying to line up his shot. As usual, he was struggling to keep up with Sebastian’s skillful plays. The balls clacked against each other, Sebastian effortlessly sinking one after another. Sam sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
"Don’t worry, Sam," the farmer said with a wink, stepping up to the table. "I’ll help you out." She took the cue from his hands, her movements confident and precise as she lined up her shot. Her eyes narrowed in concentration, and she took a deep breath before striking the cue ball with a smooth, controlled stroke.
To everyone’s surprise, she managed to beat Sebastian in a close game. Abigail cheered, pumping her fist in the air. "You go, girl!" she shouted, her enthusiasm infectious.
Sebastian gave an approving nod, his expression unreadable but clearly impressed. "Nice job," he said coolly. "Didn’t think anyone could beat me."
The farmer grinned, handing the cue back to Sam. "Thanks, but it was a team effort," she said, glancing at Sam with a smile that made his heart flutter. He could feel the warmth of her hand as she passed the cue to him, a small but significant gesture that made him feel connected to her.
Sam couldn’t help but feel a surge of admiration for her. She was not only skilled but also humble and kind. He found himself looking forward to their next game, eager to spend more time in her company and learn more about her. The evening continued with laughter and camaraderie, and Sam felt a growing sense of belonging that he hadn’t felt in a long time.

Later that week, Sam found himself sitting in Sebastian’s dimly lit basement, strumming his guitar absently. The room was filled with the faint scent of cigarette smoke, and the low hum of Sebastian’s computer added to the relaxed atmosphere. Posters of their favorite bands adorned the walls, and the soft glow of fairy lights created a cozy ambiance.
"I’ve got a confession," Sam began hesitantly, breaking the comfortable silence. "I think I have feelings for the farmer."
Sebastian barely glanced up from his screen, his fingers tapping away at the keyboard. "Yeah, I noticed. You’re not exactly subtle."
Sam groaned, setting his guitar aside and leaning back against the couch. "What should I do?"
"Just tell her," Sebastian replied with a shrug, his eyes still fixed on his computer. "Or don’t. It’s your call. But if you keep moping around like this, you’re going to drive me crazy."
Before Sam could respond, there was a knock at the door. Sebastian smirked, finally turning to look at Sam. "Speaking of which, I invited her over. Forgot to tell you."
Sam’s heart raced as the farmer entered, her presence filling the small space. She greeted Sebastian casually and settled in, her relaxed nature putting everyone at ease. Sam, meanwhile, felt like his heart might burst from his chest as he tried to join in the conversation without making a fool of himself.
"Hey, Sam," she said, turning her attention to him with a smile. "How’s the band coming along?"
"Uh, good! We’re working on some new songs," he managed to reply, his voice steadier than he felt. The three of them spent the evening talking and laughing, the farmer’s presence a constant source of warmth and comfort for Sam. She shared stories about her farm, her struggles and triumphs, and Sam found himself hanging on every word.
Sebastian watched the interaction with a knowing smile, occasionally chiming in with his own dry humor. The atmosphere was relaxed, and Sam felt a growing sense of camaraderie. By the end of the night, he was more determined than ever to tell the farmer how he felt.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
As the weeks passed, Sam found himself thinking more and more about the farmer. He admired her confidence, her kindness, and the way she seemed to brighten every room she entered. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but every time he tried, his nerves got the better of him.
One evening, as he was sitting on the porch of his house, strumming his guitar and watching the sun set, he looked up to see the farmer walking towards him. She smiled and waved, and he felt his heart leap.
"Hey, Sam," she said, her voice casual. "I’ve been thinking... Would you like to go on a date sometime?"
Sam blinked, taken aback. "You mean, with me?"
She laughed softly, her eyes sparkling in the fading light. "Yes, with you. I think you’re cute."
Sam’s face lit up with a grin. "Yeah, I’d love that."
They sat on the porch for a while, discussing their favorite spots in the valley and sharing stories about their childhoods. The conversation flowed easily, and Sam felt a connection growing stronger with every word.
As they made plans for their first date, Sam couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. He had found someone who shared his interests and made him feel more alive than ever before. The anticipation of their date filled him with excitement and nervousness, but most of all, hope.
When the farmer finally stood to leave, she turned back and gave Sam a lingering smile. "I’m looking forward to our date, Sam. Good night."
"Good night," he replied, his voice soft. As she walked away, he watched her until she disappeared, his heart soaring. He knew this was just the beginning of something wonderful, and he couldn’t wait to see where it would lead.

SDV Bachelors headcanons
how each bachelor acts around the new farmer/crush
Sebastian+Sam+Alex
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sebastian
He is 100% an introvert and a more “cold” type of guy but I feel he would a a special soft spot for his crush, you.
He first met you when you came to robins house after finding her lost axe. He had been out of his room to get something to drink and was heading back to his room when you walked in.
He had heard of the new farmer in town but had no interest in them, but now… his interest was peaked.
After that day he found himself getting out more and actively trying to find you, especially during festivals and special events. He really enjoys showing off his pool skills when you’re in the saloon at the same time he’s playing pool with Sam. He goes red in the face if you compliment his amazing skills too- Sam and Abigail won’t ever let him live it down either.
If/when you catch him smoking he becomes sorta embarrassed. He doesn’t necessarily want you knowing he does something deemed “bad”. But if you smoke too, he’ll be less embarrassed- but he will then be concerned for you.

Sam
He first met you when you were walking out in the town trying to meet everyone. He was skateboarding and almost ran straight into you. He of course apologized- or well, tried too. Your beauty, and the fact he had never seen you before, caught him off guard and left him sorta speechless.
“Oh shit- am so sorry, I didn’t.. see… wow” is all he sorta got out before just sorta staring at you. It took a moment for him to snap out of it and realize you were talking to him
“Oh, right. I’m Sam” he had quickly said while sticking his hand out for you to shake. “Your must be the new farmer, huh? Well nice to meet you” he said with a sorta dazed look. He even kept staring as you walked off and out of his sign(bro was entranced).
After that he’s normally a flustered mess around you, but he is trying to act cool the entire time. It gives Abigail and Sebastian second hand embarrassment the stuff he says/does in front of you to try and impress you.
He one time tried doing a skateboard move in front of you, he move he had never done before. Long story short he landed right on his face and gained a bloody nose, you did However run over to him and make sure he was ok and helped him back to his house. Abigail and Sebastian NEVER let him live it down…

Alex
He had came home after going to the beach one day and you were in his house giving his grandma some fresh fruits and vegetables.
He immediately noticed your bright and dazzling smile and the way you seemed genuinely happy to help someone.
Before you left he had came up and introduced himself and got your name. He was sorta being a jerk without realizing it tho…. But it’s ok because he’ll get better the more you get to know him.
That night he sorta just laid in bed and kept picturing your smiling face and how happy you were to meet him. He didn’t realized you liked you tho… he just thought he really wanted to be your friend…
After that He constantly ask if you wanna play some sort of sport with him or workout with him, which you often have to decline because of how demanding working on the farm is. The few times you have accepted were quite fun tho.
He is constantly boasting about how strong and athletic he is, how he’s gonna go pro one day, and how he’s a ladies man…. He does like hearing about your work on the farm tho. He believes it would be a good workout for him to come help you some days(totally not because he wanna hangout with you).

I hope this wasn’t toooo bad for my first actual post lol. If there’s any critiques or constructive criticisms am completely ok with it, just please be nice about it.
