these first two lines are about overthinking, and i tend to do this in a lot of situations. "they pester like a hawk in the sky." meaning you can't seem to stop thinking about certain thoughts in your head.

"i am glued to the love in you. it swallows me whole, you're hard to let go. oh that's not what i wanna do."

these next few lines are about loving too hard. i do this with people all the time, and i get attached very easily and very quickly.

"perfectly attached like a noodle in the soup, you're good with the XYZ. i'm good with the ABC, and DEFG, HIJK baby. we all have our strong suits built differently. different experience different needs. i know we can't die at the same time but please."

i don't understand this verse, so next verse !!

this line (to me) explains wanting to ignore your own life issues and problems to focus on helping the people you care about with their issues instead, which i can relate to.

the chorus of this song really has the most meaning. "sometimes its too much." meaning having attachment issues really is hard to deal with, and can be overwhelming. "fucked up and clueless. (stuck in the vortex.)" meaning its hard knowing what to do in relationships sometimes, when you're so attached to the person and have no idea what to do in hurtful situations anymore. "glueless life would be boring, empty but no hurting." in contrast, a life without these issues and this hurting would seem like an empty void of straight happiness.

"when my petty feet start to sway, you better turn around the other way. when the doubt starts creeping in, it's hard to let go of old instinctual."

i tend to push people away sometimes without meaning to, which is why "you better turn around the other way." hits pretty hard. this connects to "when the doubt starts creeping in," because once i start doubting people i have a harder time keeping them close, yet "it's hard to let go of old instinctual." means although i'm pushing them away, i'm also having trouble doing it.

"patterns that i've picked up from my environment since a baby. cut the negative self talk and cut out my procrastination. being sticky, stuck. glue those old habits shut. paste me to a new way of being something to breathe new life in me again."

the pre chorus here talks about wanting to attach to new and better habits, overall wanting to be a better person. "glue those old habits shut." meaning wanting to stop old and bad habits.
