HELLO LAB!!! I am so happy you asked because I am obsessed with them. I will put this under a read more ….it got long

To explain why I think they should have a fucked up toxic relationship I should explain a bit about them individually. My Haruka post can be found here but to summarize some important points: Haruka has a fucked up relationship with his brother Kanata, who ostracizes him from anyone he meets. He thinks of himself as a corrupted human, an “egoist” who was once his brother’s hero and wanted to help others, and now has no hope of going back to how the way things used to be. Shu is an abandoned child who’s never been shown even a speck of love by his parents or those who have been assigned to take care of him. The one person who saw a spark of light in Shu instilled false hope for his father’s love inside of him, and accidentally turned him into a bitter kid who hates adults.

Shu and Haruka are the vocalists of Epsilon, which is actually the only band to even have two vocalists who consistently sing together. Pre-epsilon story 6.5, Haruka doesn’t endorse Shu’s shitty behavior but doesn’t shut it down either. Shu uses Haruka as he does anyone else and finds him entertaining to observe. Both of them are pessimists who use music to make themselves known, to be seen— Haruka, to his peers, Shu, to his father, and both of them to the world. Haruka realizes this before Shu does, in Epsilon band story Chapter 6 Episode 5: aka vincent insanity chapter. I will just put some screenshots here of the chapter because i don’t wanna summarize them

This chapter completely changes their dynamic— it opens up a door to a whole new world of understanding between them. Now, they have no choice but to be at least somewhat involved in each other’s decisions. In this chapter, Haruka openly declares that he needs Shu to keep his dream alive, because he knows that they both know that music is all they have to get themselves known. They can’t just ignore each other anymore with this information. If they do, it adds a whole new layer of questioning— are they uncomfortable around each other, regretful about that sudden vulnerability, etc ? So, that’s all been established.

What Shu needs is a supportive, probably older brother or father type figure who can show him love and recognition, right? What Haruka needs is both a support system and someone to pull his head out of the ground and make him face reality, right ….? But like …imagine how much more fun it would be …if they fed off of each other like this ….my vision

I think that IF I WERE WRITING AASIDE. I would use this so much. I would love to see Haruka and Shu run off to stay in Tokyo and live this shut in lifestyle where Shu tries to write songs to sustain them and Haruka tries not to fuck up another relationship. Shu could absolutely fill that “younger brother I want to save” role for Haruka, and Haruka could absolutely fill that “First person to recognize me for who I am” role for Shu (except not really because they’re just using each other). Of course, though, I am not writing Aaside…with the recent development of Aoi being Shu’s brother and Reiji being much more kind than I expected (effectively creating a support system for Shu), this whole vision kind of goes down the drain, rip. But I like to think they’ll still go somewhere with Haruka and Shu’s newfound dynamic potential! Please god let Kimisute make them even more fucked up and depressed.

Minutes before going up to the stage, Nayuta wanted to hear your voice but he was hesitating to call you at first, yet his thumb pressed the green button and put it on speaker, since he's alone in the tent anyway. Nayuta noticed that you took a bit longer to answer than usual until your voice filled his ears. He could tell that you're inside the train on your way home, and sounded annoyed too. "Nayuta? Sorry the wait. This girl in my group project decided to be a bitch and– Hold on, aren't you supposed on stage right now?"

"I'm about to," Nayuta replied. Deep down he wished you would just go on ranting about your day so he could hear you talk longer, but he got art to perform to the audiences.

"I see," you muttered softly. "Good luck up there. Even though you don't really need it with that talent of yours. I know you're not calling me because you're chickening."

Only silence and distant sound from other band' performance can be heard. Nayuta clearly had no words to say to that statement of yours. "I'll be home soon to watch your performance. Just wink at the camera if you miss me that much, ok?" You said teasingly.

Nayuta grumbled, "In your dreams." And cut the call.

Dressed and acts classy. Someone who always value the things she does and manage her time well

It's Thursday afternoon, you and Kenta were in the mall to look for a dress. It's not often for both of you to have an empty schedule at the same time, so you have to take every chances just for a small moment with Kenta.

Also, he looked so peaceful today. Maybe the ray of sun peeking through the leaves made him appeared angelic, or maybe you're tired from pulling an all-nighter to write thesis.

○ he gets it. by fucking god does he get it. his entire existence is solely based on how he’ll never be anything compared to kanata, and it eats away at him every second of every day

○ he thinks it’s cruel in a way - how you two relate on the knowledge of being the forgotten child. it’s something he didn’t see himself opening up about but is secretly the slightest bit relieved there’s someone close to him that understands more past “i’m sorry you have to deal with that.”

○ if your sibling actively tortures you in regards to your inferiority, it’ll take all his willpower (and yours, because his snaps incredibly quickly when it comes to keeping you happy) not to beat them within an inch of their life. he hates his life enough because of kanata, so to imagine you have to go through what he does just about sends him off the edge

○ though usually not one for physical affection, he holds you as he listens to you cry about how your life is worthless, how it would be better to just die than to live knowing your presence is meaningless compared to your sibling’s. it breaks him inside and leaves him with an ache that won’t leave his chest, long after you’ve sobbed yourself to sleep

The frightening mega evolved pokemon looks back, stalls, but is snapped into obedience.

She is used her trainer’s general emotional detachment, but never have her commands felt so unfeeling and callous. Behind the girl’s voice there was always something, As much as she may conceal it but now there was absolutely nothing. Except for perhaps a most paralyzing fear. But there is no room to think in the midst of battle. She lets go a fiery breath that has again and again brought the temperature in the room to an unbearable heat, where the structure of the room itself has begun to melt from the onsaught. The field is cleared; nothing can survive the hit. The houndoom doubles down in the pain of its own fire. As the light still shines upon them all, two more pokemon are sent out across the field, and she prepares for her next attack.

the reason why aaside was deleted is bc too many of reons cards had something to do with something extremely personal to me. His birthday card came out during a huge /neg change in my life which Obviously means he was running over to comfort me. He wore the same flower as my birth name in his wedding card. THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING YESTERDAY. it's like. the more you get deep into these franchises, the more dots you start connecting. as someone who's obsessed with voice acting, everytime i realize that x voice actor actually voiced a character i already knew and i absolutely had no idea i just end up staring at the wall in thought lmao (mostly trying to find any similarities among characters).

about paralive!!!! i'm very new to it and there are still some parts of the plot i don't understand (tho i hope the upcoming anime will fill these holes), but i already listened to all the groups :D it's weird coming from me, cause i literally never listen to rap ??? but yk, every group is different so you eventually end up finding something you like! the music is so good i swear, huge props to both the VAs and the producers cause some instrumentals are INSANE.

i love the characters' stories and this emphasis on trauma and stuff like that - there's so much angst in this series but since i'm so used to rejet franchises / enstars / aaside at this point nothing can hurt me anymore lol.

another thing i appreciate is the canon trans representation !! there are two trans characters (anne and aoi) and both of them are referred to with they/them pronouns in the official english translation <3

last but not least, i need to talk about my fav group :D i like pretty much everything about cozmez. first of all, their color palette! they're literally pastel colored and look so cute and soft. second, their duality. cause they LOOK cute but they can literally tear you to pieces, their music is so aggressive and dark, in some way it fits my tastes too lol. third, their story and bond. i am SO weak for twins cause everything they do brings me to tears; if you even add the fact that their past is absolutely heartbreaking, it's the perfect recipe to make me incredibly soft for them. like, i just need to protect them with my life. they deserve happiness :(

oh btw, i'm absolutely head over heels for the way kanata (the one with long hair) raps. i love raspy voices a normal amount i swear. i like nayuta's style too but damn it's hard to get used to tosshi-kun rapping 😭 still love him tho <3

Author's note: here's my promise from that post. Honestly, it was a bit of a struggle for me to not cry when it's family related, but hey this one fic is a bit long than usual. Also i'm sorry for not updating these days ehehe...

Koharu wanted this to be perfect. Everything was set. He had crossed everything he need for today's plan. Flowers, cake, gift, wearing perfume, basically the things guys do and bring to a picnic date.

A picnic date that includes your son to be exact.

He ignored the feeling of nervousness, afraid he might ruin things between you and him instead of doing everything according to plan. All he could do was focusing on each steps toward your place. Backing out was never an option. That's not something a real man like him would do.

He took a deep breath, bracing himself to knock on your door. "Y/n, it's me."

The door opened, revealing you looking beautiful in autumn outfit. Not that it mattered what you wear because you'd always look great anyway. You greeted him with a smile. "Hey, you're finally here. k/n just finished his breakfast. Please make yourself at home."

"I apologize for the intrusion." Koharu stepped in. This was his first time coming over to your house. The interior seemed comforting and clean despite it's relatively small size. Just enough for a woman and 4 year old boy to live in.

"Do you want any drink before we go? Have you had breakfast?" You asked. "These flower looks lovely by the way. Thank you so much." You pecked him on the cheek.

"I had breakfast before going here," Koharu answered. "I'm glad you love them. I was worried your reaction would be the opposite." Koharu made a mental note to thank Felix later for that.

You're done putting the flower in a water-filled vase. Decorating it a little bit until it looks presentable from every angle. "Beautiful~"

Seeing you all smiling and happy because of him was very contagious. It made him felt less nervous to pop the news to her son.

"Koharu-sensei!!" A boy shouted excitedly.

Koharu took care of your son in the nursery 5 days a week. He was shy to make friends at the beginning until Koharu taught him to be brave, to not hesitate to join the fun. That made him more attached to Koharu than with any other teacher at the nursery.

The problem was, your son hasn't fully understand Koharu's relationship with you yet. He didn't want the boy to misunderstand everything and hate him for it.

"Are we going to go somewhere? Will my friends be there too?" The boy asked. His eyes sparked with enthusiasm they made Koharu almost felt bad he didn't want to crush his hopes.

Koharu knelt down. "I'm sorry b/n but today's trip will be just the three of us." The boy seemed confused by that answer. "But i have a new friend for you. Your birthday was last week, right?"

It was two action figures from a famous hero movie. The boy would often talked to Koharu about how awesome the character was with such adoration any boy his age could express. The boy's reaction to this birthday gift was no less than overjoyed.

"Ah, you really don't have to, Koharu..." you said softly.

"I wanted to. B/n has been a good boy for taking care of his mom after all." Koharu ruffled your son's hair. The boy was so thrilled he couldn't stop checking out his new toys.

You chuckled. "Sweetie, what do you say when someone give you a present?"

"Thank you so much, Koharu-sensei!" He beamed.

"You're welcome~ And happy birthday, b/n." Koharu smiled at him. "Now, are you ready for the adventure?"

Fortunately, the three of you managed to find a a place in the park that wasn't too crowded, there's only a handful of people within good distance, surrounded by the rain of leaves carried by September winds.

Your son was playing in the distance, running and jumping around to step on the crunchy leaves that fell into the ground. "Be careful! And don't go too far, ok?" You shouted.

"Ok mom!" He cheered.

You and Koharu were left alone at last. Bathing in serenity of each other's company. You told him, "My son adores you."

Koharu reached out to hold your hand. "I adore him too," he responded. "And I adore you too. In case he never said that."

"I'll kick you if you don't." You threw your sweetest smile at him.

"Jeez, you're more feisty than a tiger."

"Why, thank you! I learned from the best."

"Is that so? I wonder what'd happen if I do this to you then." Koharu leisurely kissed the palm of your hand, to your wrist, intertwining his fingers with yours. Your eyes widen from that sudden gesture, especially when you're in public and your kid could appear anytime.

"?! K-Koharu, wait–" you stammered.

"Why's Koharu-sensei holding mother's hand?" Asked your son from behind Koharu. Koharu was startled, he taught the boy won't catch him red handed like that.

You were about to throw some excuse but your son shoot you with, "A girl at school said that girl and boy can't hold hands until they get married. Does that mean Koharu-sensei is married to my mom?"

Suddenly he could feel the weigh of the ring he'd been carrying for the past month. In case he found the correct moment to confess.

Or more like when he found the courage to do it.

His mind couldn't help but cloud his head with doubts, resulting in him chickening out again and again. So far you never tried to push him away but Koharu never done this before while you got proposed once. He wanted to do it better than your ex husband who left you but what if he made a wrong move? What if you're not ready? What if he's not doing a good job being a father figure to your son?

"Sweetie, it's not what you-" you began to say.

Screw it, Koharu thought.

"Well, if both of you allow me to." Koharu interrupted.

You were shocked beyond belief by his statement. Did he really pick this time out of anytime he had the chance? You looked at him with stunned expression and red tinted face, demanding explanation.

"Koharu, did you just-"

"I'm serious." Koharu let out a small red box, revealing a beautiful ring inside.

Did the temperature just rise or were you the only one who felt so hot your tears about to come out?

Your son was confused, though. He just looked at the two of you back and forth trying to figure out what's going on with the adults in front of him. Why's mother in tears?

"Y/n, will you accept me in your-"

"Yes!" You jumped onto him, burying your teary face in his chest.

"O-Oi! At least let me finish my line first, will you?"

"You shouldn’t have surprised me like that then."

Koharu signed. "But i'm not done yet."

"What do you mean?" You asked.

Koharu put his hand on you son's shoulder, he took a deep breath to calm himself down for what he's about to say. "B/n," he began. "I've loved your mother for a long time and i intend to stay beside her, to be a part of your family. I want to make both of you the happiest you could ever be. AAside Main Story [2章] Part 1

Aoi: To think that they won’t appear in the Starting Live..

Yamato: Does that mean that they don’t care about the order of participation?

Misaki: What up with that ‘spoiler children’ band! Are they saying that any number is fine!?

Kohei: Well, calm down Misaki

Fuuta: Isn’t it okay! Because of that, we get the first performance after all! Somehow it feels super exciting!
