FIC REC WEEK 46 – IDENTITY PORN
AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: Mizzy
It's no secret that Mizzy is a fantastic author with a whole bunch of amazing fics under their belt, but I especially want to highlight some of their identity porn fics, because I love them to bits. They're fluffy and funny and slightly angsty at times, and no matter what flavor any given fic has, I enjoy them all the same.
Here's some of their work that I think you should check out:
I Saw Cap Kissing Santa Claus
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: G Words: 7,222 Tags: Christmas Fluff, Secret Santa, Getting Together
Summary: When Tony dressed as Santa for Queen County Hospital's annual toy drive, he wasn't expecting Steve to recognize him...as Iron Man.
Reasons why I love it: Aaaah, these two cuties! I love the whole premise of this fic, and the secret Santa subplot is super fun. Plus, the final identity reveal is perfect in how casual it is and yet rocks Tony's whole world. Definitely check this one out, it's wonderful!
inside man
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: G Words: 1,085 Tags: First Dates, Comedy, Fluff and Crack
Summary: Steve realizes that Iron Man is a great source of inside-knowledge for his first date with Tony Stark!
Reasons why I love it: Oh my god, Steve, you poor, oblivious fool. I really feel for Tony here, though to be fair, he's in a hell of his own making. This fic is hilarious, and I really hope you check it out for yourself!
hypothetically...
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: M Words: 9,750 Tags: Crack, Dick Jokes, Fluff and Humor
Summary: Steve accidentally finds out that Tony Stark is Iron Man. He methodically and hypothetically works through what to do about it.
Reasons why I love it: Steve is such a troll, oh my god, I love him. Seeing him apply his strategist mind to something as devious as teasing Tony with his secret identity is so much fun, and I love the way Tony finds out what Steve's been doing in the end. It's fantastic, and I really hope you give it a shot for yourself!
through a passive landscape
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: M Words: 10,446 Tags: Graphic Injury, Trauma, Hurt/Comfort
Summary: The New York Times once described parking structures as "the grim afterthought of American design" and Steve couldn’t say he disagreed. The building they were searching was pretty damn ugly. But something uglier was about to happen inside.
Reasons why I love it: Steve and Tony in mortal peril, relying on each other to survive and getting out their last deathbed confessions? Yes please! The dialogue in this is so well-written, it stayed with me long after I finished the fic. And I love the identity reveal, it's just fantastic. I love this one, and I bet you will too, so go and check it out if you haven't read it already!
Five Ways Tony Might Have Had His Identity As Iron Man Revealed (and the One Time It Was)
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: T Words: 2,898 Tags: Pre-Slash, Identity Reveal, Crack
Summary: (see title)
Reasons why I love it: If you, for some reason, need a good laugh today, definitely check out this fic. The oblivious Avengers are hilarious, and Tony's increasingly transparent attempts to keep his secret under wraps even more so. I love this fic, and I hope you go and check it out for yourself!

hi! So I watched dp when I was younger and recently you a couple others have been all over my dash with fics from it. So i dipped my toes into some crossovers with my fandoms and now I really want more fics to read! Do you have any recs for me? I love eldritch danny and self indulgent op fics, but a good slice of life is warm an fuzzy too, so whatever your top 5 are, I want em!
aaaah most of what I read are fics I come across on tumblr that are hard to find again because of the jank search function (but you can try searching 'fic recs' on my blog and pray it works 😆) and I have a terrible habit of forgetting to bookmark fics on ao3 to find them again
so I don't have a lot to recommend but I can share the few I have saved! these are mostly quite silly fun ones
Smells Like Team Spirit
Summary:
Some mascots are great at pumping up a crowd. As Casper High's mascot, Danny has only one job: strike fear into the hearts of their opponents. This is the story of how Danny becomes the famed Mascot of Fear.
The Weird Little Shit
Summary:
A class discussion held by Wes about Danny’s weirdness was never not going to be an absolute cluster fuck
Take Me For A Ride, You Moron
Summary:
Abducting Danny is really never a good idea and it is a sure-fire way to get mocked.
as for warm and fluffy slice of life, I have a fic or two of my own you might like!
Even ghosts like cookies
Summary:
Buying and renting property in Amity Park is unbelievably cheap, cheap enough to convince an old lady with dreams of running her own bakery to pick up her life and move all the way to this strange little Illinois town.
Unfortunately for her, the real estate has no legal obligation to disclose that the entire town is, in fact, incredibly haunted.
Grabbing Smoke
Summary:
The longer a ghost is dead, the more of their lives they forget, in the same way that one forgets most of their childhood as they age
But where humans have photo albums and mementos to help remind them of things from their past, a ghost has nothing but the clothes on their back and the endless expanse of the Ghost Zone
So when Kitty visits the human realm, she can't help but feel the tickling of a distant memory at the back of her mind, somewhere, somehow, she knows she's seen Sam Manson's face before
if anyone else wants to throw in some recommendations for Anon please do!
#asks#dp#danny phantom#fic recs#I'm sorry I'm so terrible at fic recs#I'm trying to be better at bookmarking things 😅

kid milli x yanghongwon x jjangyou x dnopf x ???
ok lets go. first about my day, if you don't wanna know you can scroll down :D
so i had to book my train ticket for a train at 6:30 am bc they announced the concert super late and everything was expensive already. i cried abt it to friends for days bc i never leave the house this early, but then as i started to travel there were commuters everywhere just doing their regular thing. and like it's not that big of a deal xD
i arrived in paris at 10 am, successfully queued in the right queue to obtain my metro tickets, did so and successfully took the metro to the neighborhood of the concert (last time i took the metro alone i couldn't find the way out and when i finally got out i had to walk super far anyway and the ride wasn't worth it :D).
i dropped my bag and thought i could have breakfast somewhere but nothing seemed inviting and i had eaten some breadbuns on the train and wasn't hungry so whatevs. went to a park and walked around, it was nice. so many ppl working out here! decided i should eat sth for lunch but was overwhelmed with finding a restaurant that offered veggie food with good ratings and close by and is open and is affordable. also i learned i'm really not confident to go to restaurants or even cafés alone. so i got some prepackaged food at a supermarket but it was meh :D walked past the venue and there were a few people waiting at 2 pm. got bubble tea i love that stuff. then there was nothing more to do and i didn't wanna use up my energy so i went to the place where i'm staying and read a book. ate the rest of the lunch.
went to the venue! i thought, but it turned out i walked into the wrong entrance into the wrong event. i was already confused about the other people xD
then i found the right entrance and was confused again bc there was no queue at all. general admission was at 7:30 and it was like 7:32. there were 2 guys entering at the same time as me and one said to the other (in english) "yeah i played here 4 years ago" and i didn't think anything about it.
i got in and the club was SO SMALL!! even though i hadn't queued i got a good spot to see. after a short time, the dj, dnopf, started. and it turned out he was the guy from the entrance!! i felt sry for not recognizing him. he played only khh and krnb and i cannot explain how much i loved that. that's my dream like. having someone who knows khh really well rec khh to me? there were songs i didn't know but sounded good. a lot of jay park and coogie. a lot of aomg/h1ghr but no ambition or daytona at all. dnopf's tshirt said
I ❤️ PARIS
hilton
i thought that was funny.
then jjangyou started right away (no waiting times, it was awesome). i'm not really into his music but wow he can make the party go crazy like himself. he even walked around in the crowd and was really close to where i was! he said he was sick and had a cold so we should cheer more to give him energy. poor guy, i felt bad ':D but this was a great performance, he was the most energetic artist by far.
then hongwon came on aaaah! he played 2 old songs and then only unreleased songs, 1 or so of which i didn't know. he introduced himself as "young b yanghongwon" and said when he returns to korea he will release an ep. (it has to he noted he's promised albums often so it's not really reliable but i'll still be hoping every time :D). slowmo is the album's name. his performance was wonderful ofc, he did all the raps properly as we know of him <3 idk what to say u know he's my fav artist rn it's just yeah.
and then kid milli. his show was also great of course! he's very professional, with carefully chosen song order etc so you know it will definitely be good. he showered the crowd in compliments (a bit cheesy for me but whatever :D). i felt bad abt knowing so few of his songs. he wore a hat (beanie style) and hoodie for the whole show idk how he didn't melt but he stayed strong :D
during kid milli's performance, suddenly hwimin jumped on stage for 1 second, yes you read right and i didn't see wrong bc kid milli confirmed it :D he said "do you like hwimin? we brought a representative for area, it's gemini!" so gemini came out and performed 3 songs and the crowd went crazy for him. i don't like him thaat much so i was a bit ?? but i guess it was the surprise effect, he said he'll be back next time with his own tour. parisians are lucky that so many khh ppl (esp former fa members and area members) seem to love paris so much, i don't see this for any other place except maybe japan.
after that, kid milli performed some songs with less action and then at the end as an encore some songs with jjangyou and hongwon together. they performed indigo last, with good guy kid milli rapping all of justhis' part <3
the show ended around 10:15? maybe. kid milli left the stage early but jjangyou and hongwon stayed around for a long time, gave signatures and talked to fans from the stage. that was so nice!
when i got out, it was still a little bright outside. not where i live! this was surprising but it's almost the longest day of the year after all. the neighborhood was still full of people enjoying the evening and sunset, good mood.
i was gonna post photos but will do that separately. tumblr app is broken and uploads different photos or replaces my uploads with different photos from my phone no thx
good night!! 💕💖💕

Okokokokok so I’m you did a Jennifer check x poly ghostface x reader if you could do another but with gf and Jen reacting with a fem! Reader covered in blood or like killing someone messily idk ahhhh <333
YES. Aaaah I'm so glad people see the beauty of poly!ghostface x reader x jennifer! I did it in headcanon format again, and only did SFW this time. Let me know if you want a NSFW one too!
TW: Slight NSFW, female!Reader, blood kink, homicide, mention of assumed sexual assault!
SFW:
You hadn't meant to kill anyone. It...it was in self-defense.
You had been alone that night. It was one of the extremely rare occurrences when all 4 of you were just doing your own thing.
Billy was at home doing whatever, Stu was hanging with some non-mutual friends, and Jennifer was hunting for food.
You had decided to check out a shopping strip downtown. You had wanted to scout out the eateries, as well as the novelty shops and cafes.
There was some cool stuff. You discovered a plant-based ice cream place, a kink shop with some crazy stuff and displays, a seasonally themed speakeasy, and a bakery with CBD infused treats, and an LGBT friendly club.
You were enjoying yourself, taking notes of the sites to visit with your boyfriends and girlfriend, when you ran into someone you kinda sorta knew from a year or so ago.
You had met him around campus between classes, usually at the student lounge, rec room, or cantina. But you never spoke with him until he approached you.
You vaguely remember him making a big deal about you being a girl playing video games (you usually were playing your gameboy or sometimes played Smash with some of the other students in the lounge with Stu) and whenever Stu wasn't with you he'd make it painfully obvious he was interested in you.
You ignored his advances. You had Billy and Stu (you hadn't been with Jennifer yet) and even if you weren't with them, you wouldn't be interested in him.
he just had big incel-y vibes tbh.
When he offered to catch up and maybe get some late night eats, you politely declined. You were enjoying your alone time, plus you barely knew the guy.
He accepted that, but you could tell by the set of his jaw he wasn't too happy about it.
He gave you bad vibes. and suddenly you were glad about the pocket knife Billy had gotten you some birthdays ago. It had a custom grip for you hands, so it was easy to grab and use, as well as being able to fit discreetly in a pocket.
After you parted, you visited a few more places before ultimately heading back to the parking garage your car was at.
You subconsciously already had a hand on the knife in your jacket pocket. Jennifer told you to always trust your instincts so you did.
When he attacked, you had thought it would be in sexual assault. But when you saw the knife in his hand and the crazed glint in his eyes, you knew he just wanted to get rid of you for rejecting him.
You blanked out. You don't know exactly what happened. All you could remember was a burning hot anger at the audacity of this freak, the near debilitating fear of actually being attacked, and the motion of your arm moving out of your jacket and surging forward rapidly to push him away. Except, the knife was still clutched in your hand when you moved to do so.
The next thing you remember was him collapsing, you blankly looking down at him, and then, as if on autopilot, grabbing a rock and bashing it in his skull over and over again.
When you came back from your episode you almost screamed.
The first thing on your mind wasn't "oh god i just killed a man. ended a life. he had a family." but "oh god im going to go to prison and lose the rest of my life and never see billy or stu or jen again" and you decided that you'd definitely have to unpack that later.
But not now. Although you knew you should call Jennifer first so she can eat the body and get rid of the evidence, you decide to call Billy first. It was almost instinct. Billy tended to lead the relationship before Jen came in and took half of that on, so you tended to see him as a sort of rock. He was reliable and good at murder. He'd be able to jump to action immediately.
Also he was the only one who wasn't busy lmao
When you get a hold of him, the panic starts to really catch up to you and you break down and begin to apologize profusely. You dont know why really, its not like he'd get mad at you. If anything, he'd probably be proud and horny
Once he calms you down and reassures you that whatever is happening its going to be okay, he asks you what's wrong and you tell him you just killed someone at this particular parking garage downtown. There's silence for a long while on the end.
"...I'll call Stu. Jen should be in the area, call her so you can give her directions. We'll be right there." is all he says before the line goes dead.
When you call jennifer to tell her you needed her to eat the body of a guy you just murdered to get rid of the evidence, you expect her to be shocked. But instead she's just like "you got it bitch" and tells you she's on her way after you tell her where you're at. She comes clutch at the best of times, and you love her for it.
Jennifer arrived first, and when you tell her bon appetit, she says she wants to wait for billy and stu to get there so they can see your work. you're like "wtf jen no what if someone walks by also im having a panic attack" she tells you to stop being a pussy, but agrees to move the body to a dark, shaded alleyway nearby the garage.
After moving the body and finally taking a good look at you, her hands are on you in a second. You looked sexy as hell covered in blood, and that deer-in-headlights look you still had on...oof.
"Mmmm, you look fuckin hot in blood. It's a great color on you. You should def go for the bad-girl-murder vibe more, babes~."
You tell her to cut it until you get everything sorted out and you are less panicked.
When Billy and Stu arrive, their jaws drop. They expected the body of a shrimpy guy with maybe a slit throat or bloody bump on the back of the head. Not a straight up I Spit On Your Grave re-enactment on a grown man.
They're both impressed and incredibly aroused, unsurprisingly. You can see it by the way their gazes practically rake over you, stopping at your breasts and legs in particular.
Jennifer proudly shows off the body, as if she herself did it. She keeps talking about how "badass" you are and how "the loser fuck got destroyed"
After inspecting your "work" a little longer Jennifer finally gets to munching. You can't watch, still too in shock and processing the situation. You bury yourself in Stu's chest as he holds you.
You can feel the giggle's bubble in his chest as he watches Jen's feasting. Billy grabs one of your hands, and while he smiles reassuringly when he looks over at you, you also notice how blown out his pupils look.
Stu leans down to you ear, whispering something huskily about showering together later, and pressing you further against his body. Oh- uh, yup, you can definitely tell he's excited now.
After the body is no more you guys discreetly go back to where Bill parked the car nearby.
And by discreetly you mean Billy holding you tight as you make your way while Jennifer and Stu keep stopping to make out since Jennifer's mouth covered in blood also got him going.
Billy whisper-yells at them to knock it off and hurry up. But with the way he tightens his grip on your waist, you know he's itching to get his tongue down your throat too.
Jennifer drives and Stu sits in the passenger seat (he wanted to sit in the back with you, but Billy made him go up front bc his possessive side was coming out at the sight of you all bloody)
once in the safety of the car, you shake a little in Billy's lap from the adrenaline quickly leaving you body. He holds you, not caring at all about all the blood you're getting on him. He loves it.
As he coos in your ear and comforts you, he can't help but let his hands wander, groping at your thighs and chest, smudging blood all over you and his arms. Strangely, it works in comforting you. His hands are big and warm, and so is his breath in your ear.
"Don't worry, baby. Once we get back, I'll make you forget tonight ever happened. Make you feel real good, okay?"
You realized it'll be a long night
Hope you liked it! Also sorry for going a bit too hard on the setup scenario, I knew a creep like that from my first year in college. He did all of those things minus the actually pulling a knife on me, and said some pretty disgusting shit to me when we were alone (and sometimes when we weren't alone. It was mortifying lmao). So yeah this was kinda therapeutic for me, thanks for sending the ask anon!

What TV shows would you recommend?
Oh lordy. There are so many great shows I hardly even know where to begin. I’ll just list some of my faves by category.
Of course there are my nerdy faves, like Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, the Mandalorian, all of the Netflix Marvel shows, Stranger Things, Lucifer, and Outlander.
Then there are the dramas, like Deadwood, Fargo, the Crown, This is Us, Handmaid’s Tale, Sex Education, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Shameless, Vikings, Black Mirror, the Last Kingdom, Ozark, Peaky Blinders, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Orange is the New Black, and Justified.
Then there are the comedies (some of these are dramedies): Brooklyn 99, What We Do in the Shadows, Shrill, Barry, the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Schitt’s Creek, Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Zoe’s Extraordinary Playlist, The Good Place, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Fleabag, iZombie, Preacher, Parks & Rec, the Office, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, How I Met your Mother, Santa Clarita Diet, and aaaah there are so many more.
I’m really bad at choosing things LOL
Edit: of course all of Rob’s shows are on the list too!

The Kitchen
Oh guys. Ohhhhh you guys. It’s been awhile, you know? It’s been awhile since I’ve knowingly seen a film with less than, say, 30% on Rotten Tomatoes, but sometimes I can be convinced! Gimme a great cast and as long as the movie’s not trying to be a comedy I’m willing to give it the good ol’ college try because at least I can usually find something to laugh at. So I went into The Kitchen fully expecting a less-than-stellar but no doubt perfectly adequate time at the cinema. You’ve got Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy, prestige TV darling Elizabeth Moss, and breakout charisma machine Tiffany Haddish as three women taking charge of their husbands’ mob empire in 70s Hell’s Kitchen? What could go wrong??? Well...
Imagine watching a montage of every 70s era mob movie you can think of. Got it? Got it firmly in your head? You have now had the experience of watching this movie. It’s like it’s 1993 again and you’re fighting with your sister over the remote and one of you hits the fast forward button while the smell of Bagel Bites drifts through the rec room and as you’re struggling to get the remote back, the movie is unspooling in front of you, incoherent images and sudden jerky movements, and your mom yells at you to stop fighting or she was gonna take the movie back to Blockbuster and NO ONE was gonna get to watch it. It’s like that, but unfortunately someone DID watch the movie, and that someone was me.
Some thoughts:
So first of all, I’d like to say that I enjoy Tiffany Haddish as a person. She seems like a real delight, and I think she’s working her ass off to get hers in Hollywood, which is fantastic and I wish her all the success in the comedy world. That being said. There’s uh...there’s a lot of eyebrow acting going on here. Just. So many eyebrows doing so many things. And a lot of nodding. People don’t nod this much in real life. She’s acting in scenes across from Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy and usually that would tend to elevate a performance but for some reason, it’s all nods and eyebrows and I just think maybe gritty dramatic acting is not going to be her next successful career move.
It’s not just her though. All the bit parts and character actors they hired to fill out the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood feel like they’re rejects from the first 10 minutes of a Law & Order episode. At one point, an old married woman says “Ain’t that right, Sal?” to her husband and he shushes her by swatting the air in front of him and grumbling “AAAAH.” THIS HAPPENS TWICE IN THE SCENE. I’ve seen termites that chew through scenery less.
The overacting? Forgivable. The weak script? I could handle it. But the pacing of this movie is so relentlessly awful that it almost feels like performance art. There are - I counted - 3 scenes that last longer than approximately 90 seconds. Just imagine it. You’re watching a movie. You like the actors. The story’s ok. But something seems off. You don’t know what. The costumes are good. The performances are ok. The music is great. But something is wrong. It’s definitely wrong. Do you feel it? Is it bothering you? Have you had enough yet? Are you yearning for a descriptive sentence, an appositive phrase, anything with even one fucking comma in it to indicate a complex thought? Congratulations, now you know what it’s like to watch a 102-minute film that feels like it took 3 hours.
Let it never be said that I can’t find the silver lining amongst this pile of dreck! Domnhall Gleeson is a goddamn delight as a slightly unhinged, sleepy eyed mob assassin who came back to Brooklyn cause he heard Elizabeth Moss’s husband was in jail. In between making googly eyes at her, there is what is by far the funniest, weirdest scene in the movie in which he methodically explains how to dismember the dead body of an attempted rapist currently residing in Elizabeth Moss’s bathtub. This scene may be my favorite black comedy short film of the year.
Related: it’s fucked up but Gleeson is upsettingly attractive in this movie. These feelings are made even more complicated, because when he first shows up, I thought he was Elizabeth Moss’s estranged brother. But then they started making out and for a second I was having some VERY confusing feelings.
One thing the movie has in its favor - the soundtrack, while obvious, is banging. It’s 1978, if you don’t have a killer soundtrack it’s like you’re not even making an effort.
There are a few other shining spots. Melissa McCarthy does a fine job with the material she’s given. Elizabeth Moss at least seems to be having fun. It’s really not the actors’ fault that first-time director Andrea Berloff simply had no idea what to do with them.
On a related tangent, I would just like to point out that a criticism that is always levied towards works of art created by women and POC and queer folks and any other minority is that people only think it’s good just because the person belongs to that particular group. Well, I’m going to point to this film every single time someone tries to pull that bullshit ever again - I’m sure Andrea Berloff was trying her best, and there may have been unseen drama going on with the studio or during the production that led to this frenetic pile of polyester, but the end result is not at all better just because she’s a woman. I wanted to like this, I really did, but a poorly made film is a poorly made film no matter who’s behind the camera.
Case in point - my favorite scenes in the movie have nothing to do with the main characters, but instead focus on a group of rival mobsters in Brooklyn, led by an oily and perfect Bill Camp. His tete a tete with our main ladies is one of the three scenes allowed to be long enough to be, you know, interesting. Plus, he has an entourage of other Brooklyn mobsters with him, including the Jersey Shore-lite guy that Ann Perkins makes out with during the Harvest Festival in Parks and Rec, who has my favorite line in the whole movie. When he’s explaining to Melissa McCarthy that there’s a hit out on her and the gals, he explains how he knew - “I was in a bar......lookin at some titties...when he asked me.” “Asked you what?” “To kill you.” It’s his wide-eyed good cheer and sheepishly boyish grin that really sells it. I’ve been laughing about it for days.
Margo Martindale might be one of this generation’s finest character actresses, but she can’t do a New York Irish mob accent for shit.
Did I Cry? Oh god no. I should have - there’s major character death all OVER the place. But nah. I was still laughing about the titties.
I hate that I know how good this could have been. These women deserved better, and there are tiny seeds of interesting ideas going on, but ultimately everything falls flat.

yeh it's by her, my sister had read fangirl and eleanor & park too, so we bought carry on, which I loved, so ofc after that we bought the other two u_u I LOVE agatha christie ngl, I got a bunch of her books for my bday this year (or was it last year... I can't remember) so I'm trying to go through them :') "And then there were none" is so fascinating, it is giving me nightmares tho (which is??? bc none of her other books ever did that ;;) but I really want to know the end so I'm trying to finish it rn. owh I'm terrible at recs, I usually read smth and then forget about it forever 😬 but hmmm recently I read "I was born for this" by Alice Oseman, which is really good, and my fave Agatha Christie novel (so far) is "Cards on table" :')
aaaah I'm very happy I got you to watch some new stuff! ;; especially Xia, it's so underrated and yet it's still one of my fave song/mv after all this time. the diversity in loona's mv is one of the reason I love it so much, like yes pls we want more of this!! yeah he might have eaten that fish 😬 and yes dreamcatcher!! their mvs are always top quality but this one is something else, I love it too ;;
damn yeh, we're more than halfway through this year, can you believe?? u_u and look at me taking so long to answer bc I don't see days go by, damn it 😬 -🌊
love that for you 🥰 hopefully you can get through all those books this year!! 👀 i haven't ready any rainbow rowell books but now i'm intrigued!! "cards on the table" sounds interesting based on the summary, i might look into it! sorry "and there were none" is giving you nightmares tho ;-; i imagine most of agatha christie's works are somewhat dark so that's understandable. i wonder why this particular one gives you nightmares
haha thank you for introducing those mvs to me 🥰 sorry for the delay in answering your q. i saw one of the missions was to make a playlist for your anon so i tried to make a playlist of some of my favourite summer jams - some are music videos because i couldn't find the official audio (i wanted it to be as accessible as possible in case you didn't use spotify or any other streaming sites!!) 💛 and also i know some of them aren’t really “summer” jams LOL but they remind me of summer somewhat! i hope you get the chance to listen to it!~
ahhh it's almost time for the big reveal 🤩 i'm pretty hyped to finally meet you for real haha instead of just referring to you as ocean/wave/sea (?) anon~

FIC REC WEEK 2 – WINTERIRON FAVORITES
SERIES: The Silver Age by copperbadge
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: E Words: 87,354 Tags: 1960s, PTSD, Recovery
Summary: An alternate universe in which Tony Stark was born in 1950 and the Winter Soldier was recovered in 1967, after a failed attempt to assassinate Howard and Maria Stark.
Reasons why I love it: One of my favorite things about this series is Tony's relationship with his parents, which is something I never thought I'd say, since most fics portray them as irredeemable. Tony's characterization in this is also fantastic, and I really love Bucky's emotional development. Plus, the family feels that start to creep in towards the middle make it all even better. I love this series, and I highly encourage you to check it out!
This series consists of:
The Soldier And The Hurricane
Pairing: Bucky & Tony, Howard/Maria Rating: T Words: 18,899 Tags: Canon Divergence, Parent-Child Relationship, Recovery
Summary: When the Winter Soldier fails to kill Howard and Maria Stark and is taken prisoner in the summer of 1967, his salvation comes in the unlikely form of a Russian-speaking, father-disobeying, endlessly-tinkering seventeen-year-old: Tony Stark.
Reasons why I love it: There is so much subtle world building in this. All the references and talk about “modern” science really drive home what time period this is set in. And while I absolutely love Bucky and Tony's budding relationship here, what really stole my heart was – unexpectedly – Howard Stark. He's such a great character in this, and I really love how he's portrayed as a genuinely caring father, even if he can't always show it. This fic is amazing on its own, but it's only the start to this fantastic series, so let's hop over to the next!
The Pretender And The Prince
Pairing: Bucky/Tony, Peggy/Angie Rating: E Words: 25,934 Tags: PTSD, Super Soldier Serum, Post-Recovery
Summary: It's the fall of 1967, and Tony Stark is determined to do his father proud as the new head of Stark Robotics. Between his growing relationship with Tony and his new life as a recovering assassin, Bucky's just trying to stay on his feet. Then someone takes a shot at Tony in the middle of a busy workday, and all bets are off...
Reasons why I love it: Aaaah, young love! I adore all of the action in this, and I really enjoyed the surprise appearance of someone I didn't expect to see. Angie is beyond lovely, and Howard continues to be one of my favorite characters in this fic, who would've thought. Jarvis and Ana are actual angels, and Bucky and Tony's developing relationship makes me want to swoon. This fic is fantastic, a perfect sequel to the first!
The Captain And The Ghost
Pairing: Bucky/Tony, Rhodey/Carol Rating: T Words: 26,030 Tags: Arctic Exploration, Cold War, Steve Recovery
Summary: In the summer of 1970, Tony Stark is leading the expedition ship Marvel in search of the body of Steve Rogers. He has good friends with him: ship's captain Carol Danvers, medic Sam Wilson, best friend James Rhodes and boyfriend James Barnes, as well as scientist Vernon van Dyne and his daughter Janet. But they've also been assigned a diplomatic observer from the USSR named Natalia Romanoff, and the barren chill of Greenland is not the only threat dogging their search.
Reasons why I love it: The whole arctic rescue mission is fantastic. Natasha makes for a really interesting character, and it's great to see real life events so seamlessly woven into the story. Also, the brief arc where Bucky completely trounces Tony's insecurities in regard to Steve is great. This fic is amazing, and a wonderful addition to this series.
The Comrade And The Carnie
Pairing: Bucky/Tony, Natasha/Sam Rating: G Words: 4,871 Tags: 1970s, Avengers Family, Amusement Parks
Summary: The Stark Family And Adopted Waifs field trip to Coney Island to buy Natasha a hot dog started out with nine people and ended with ten. Well, Clint didn't take up much space and was impressively skilled...
Reasons why I love it: Picking up a stray Clint Barton, because why not? I love Maria's Home for Wayward Orphans, and Natasha continues to be a delight. And I'm so happy she got her promised hot dog. I love this fic, and I hope you check it out for yourself!
The Music Room And The Penthouse
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: T Words: 1,802 Tags: 1970s, Broadway, Musicals
Summary: Maria Stark makes a place for her son's many friends; Tony also makes his own place for them.
Reasons why I love it: The way Tony talks about Natasha and how he wants to help her hit me out of nowhere with the feels. I love that we get to see a quiet moment between him and his mom, I feel like I haven't seen that nearly enough in fandom, because it's beautiful. And oh my god, the music scene is so fucking sweet, it's amazing. I love this one!
The Ranger And The Stray
Pairing: Bucky/Tony, Clint/Coulson Rating: T Words: 6,330 Tags: Kidnapping, Friends to Lovers, Star Wars References
Summary: Clint Barton was always the kid brother in the background, until one day he definitely was not.
Reasons why I love it: Fuck yeah, Shieldhusbands are in! Clint's crush on Coulson – and Coulson't crush on Clint later on – is so fucking cute. They deserve each other, awkward beans that they are. Also, the line “as surrogate little brothers went, Clint made a pretty good Stark” made me aww out loud. Plus, canon crashing in is always fun. I love it.
The Brother And The Mother
Pairing: Clint/Coulson Rating: T Words: 3,488 Tags: 1970s, Family, Blackmail
Summary: Clint's brother shows up, and Clint disappears.
Reasons why I love it: I'm so happy that we get more Shieldhusbands after the last one. In unrelated news, Maria Stark is a fucking boss ass queen, and I love her. The whole Clint Barton defense squad is fucking adorable, and I love how they literally treat each other as family. This is such a great ending to this series, and I enjoyed every word of it. Please go and check it out for yourself if you haven't, because the whole thing's amazing!

christieee! I'm pretty happy with my weight rn but I need to get more toned?Bc I'm like blaah when it comes to muscles! rn i'm studying for my exams and will be for the next month and a half so I dooont have time for gym or exarcising. Any tips of minimilising the damage?xx
aaaah bab unfortunately I don’t have many tips on how to get toned but have you thought about getting up a little earlier and going for a long walk before you start studying? I promise you it might sound boring and time consuming and non worth losing sleep over but it’ll work wonders with your energy AND if you walk for about an hour you’ll end up losing approximately 250-300 calories which is great for keeping fit during exam periods. Not to mention it actually does tone your hips and calves a LOT especially if you’re walking on uneven ground. So if you have a park or a hill near your house definitely give it a try. It’ll be good for you mentally as well because we all need breaks and the fresh air will help you get your mind off books and tests.
If you think an hour is too much time away from your books, check out this video. It’s a four minute workout I sometimes follow whenever I want to burn off some extra calories quickly. It works but it’s not super intense. If you do this every day I think you’ll see some satisfying results ;)
It’s natural that you’ll want to snack a lot so my advice is go for the healthier options. Cherries, strawberries and peaches are my go-to snack during the summer months. There’s also tons of healthy popsicle recipes you can find online and invest some time in making! I can rec some of my favorites if you want. Unbuttered pop corn, dry fruit like goji berries, raisins and peanuts, apples with a thin layer of peanut butter or tahini, baked pita chips and LOTS of green tea are also other snack alternatives I’ve had during periods of time where I have to spend most of my day on my desk.
Good luck with everything! You got this
