Ram!!!!! Ram I started watching One Piece because of you and I'm only a few episodes in but it's really entertaining! Luffy is a super charming character, the color palette is eye catching (bright yet easy on the eyes) and the animation really surprised me! The artstyle is simple but the animation team really did a lot with it. I used to not like the artstyle but actually seeing it in motion changed my mind and I'm noticing a lot of unique things about it that make me like it more

Yeah !!! One Piece has really interesting color palettes and character designs, they always catched my attention even before I actually started watching OP

And i totally get it, at first sight the art style is little bit weird ? Some of the characters have weird proportions (looking at you most of female designs 😑 ) and is definitely is not what you would expect from a typical shonen anime artstyle but at the end they have a really nice charm 💖 !! And they are super recognizable !!

Plus I think that Oda's artstyle is pretty much influenced by cartoons, ( hence Luffy literally being a rubber man and you know rubber hose animation n stuff... ) and i think THAT is what makes the animation so GOOD, the movement and facial expressions of the characters are exaggerated in such a cartoony way that makes the animation so unique ?

And oh boy in each arc it keeps getting better and better !! (I still haven't fully catched up with the anime but as always i like to spoil myself cof cof 😅 )  and In the last episodes they have released I keep getting surprised because it is SO COOL 😭 and tbh i started watching One Piece cuz someone in my 2D animation class shared a clip of the current arc / season (i think) and aaa my jaw dropped and i almost cried from how beautiful that animation was 🤣

And i find it interesting that in each arc you can actually see how the studio and the autor keep advancing as artists ? It is really inspiring and you can totally tell how much they love One Piece 💖

Here's my ✨ character quirks ✨

Hates wearing makeup but likes the process of someone applying makeup on her or doing her hair

Actually uses a set of like a hundred aquarelle pencils instead of eye liner/lipstick/masquerade makeup when she feels extra fancy (usually ends up making rainbow eye liner)

Sometimes acts like a cat around friends she's comfortable with (rubs head, lies with head on knees, purrs when receives pats)

Has a comedic amount of cats (four) and wants more

Has zero coherence in clothing style a bunch of fandom clothes being the only constant thing

Wears exclusively converse spring through autumn (as long as the weather is good enough)

Carries a book around most of the time; in fact spent her prom reading and tuning out the music (which she is extremely proud of and will tell everyone at the first opportune moment)

How do you edit your sketches and drawing? They look so good 😳💕

i draw all of my digital art in paint tool sai, for traditional art i take pictures of it with the line camera app on my phone (because cute filters...) and then upload it to my computer so i can edit it in sai, usually raising the brightness and contrast as needed to make it look sharper!  if i want to color the art i will do the same thing and then use the luminescence to transparency option in sai to make it transparent so i can color it digitally!

as for brushes i usually use a custom one that is my go to for most of my art (lineart, more sketchy/messy coloring, etc.) or just the default marker tool (sometimes for coloring large, solid blocks of color, or for lineless/pitter patter pop styled art)! 

unfortunately i think the op of this brush has deleted the post that included a download to the brush pack, but i could send it to you if you message me off anon

When did I start watching Haikyuu: I first watched Haikyuu around 2016, and then rewatched the past thee seasons recently!

Why did I start watching Haikyuu: I can’t honestly remember much, other than I really liked their designs? I never really watched any sports anime before HQ, and wasn’t sure what to expect. I fell in love with the characters though and ended up actually liking volleyball.

Why do I like Haikyuu: CHARACTERS!!! Of course I get hyped during the games, like to an insane amount, but the personalities and backstories and relationship dynamics have me h o o k e d. I would die for these boys and I can’t think of a character I dislike off the top of my head

Manga or Anime: I have trouble reading the manga during the volleyball scenes so I haven’t read more than around 40 chapters

Worst anime you’ve watched: Any SoA after the first. The first was okay, I liked it when it first came out and the hype wasn’t too big. It was cute, interesting, and I liked the concept. The following seasons were meaningless, annoying as hell, and they should of left it at the first.

so here they are now!! :0 it’s kinda long though. Sorry about that. Unlike my post about GOTG Vol. 2 that one time, for this one I just kinda wrote down some erratic notes about thoughts and reactions I had as I watched the movie, and then I kinda summed up my opinion about it overall down at the end?? so yeah. That’s how this one is gonna play out lol. Generalized running commentary style.

Didn’t give any indication that it was uniquely Cybertronian aside from Vivian’s magic touch thing. Idk. That wasn’t explained so I mean. Hmm.

Small bits of physical reassurance and comfort in times of real great distress. I appreciate that a LOT more than like, watching two characters make out right before the big climactic final showdown lmao. Thank u movie wow I really didn't expect that - SO THERE WAS A COMBINER TEAM!! A COMBINER MINOTAUR!!! DANG NOT EVEN GONNA LIE THAT THING WAS NEATO!!! - Ok forget what I said about Hot Rod at the beginning he redeemed himself at the end. I didn't like him and first but now,, , now we chill. Granted I still can't see him as being HOT ROD bc he's just so different from what I know him as Rodimus but I can still appreciate him as his own character. Cool cool. - OPTIMUS RIDING THE ROBOT HYDRA INTO BATTLE AND BLOWING EVERYTHING UP WAS GREAT. MAN THAT WAS GOOD. "DID YOU FORGET WHO I AM" WOOOO BOY CHILLS MAN!!!! - OH COME ON they still made out. Lmao. Dangit. It was inevitable but I mean come on man. Alright. They kept it short and quick thank you tho if u had to put in a make out scene at least u kept it to a minimum. Thank you. Can we get back to the robots now pls. - AAAAA BUMBLEBEE'S "STING LIKE A BEE" LINE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - that ending was pretty sudden lmao. A lot of this movie was sudden and fast. They just jump cut STRAIGHT to those credits man not even an ending panorama or clean slow zoom out shot or anything lmao - AND OH BOY THEY TEASED UNICRON’S GONNA ACTUALLY COME BACK AND APPEAR IN ANOTHER MOVIE AAAAAAA OH NO OH BOY NOT AGAIN GOSH DARN IT LMAO 

All in all, surprisingly, I actually ended up kinda enjoying it!! Like it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!! Tbh for me it might even be second best in the series!! (First being the first movie from 2008 lmao) Honestly I was really REALLY surprised at how much I didn't hate it. Like. I still dislike it to a degree because it's still Bayverse, and I probably won't watch it again unless I'm with friends (like I do with the rest of the transformers movies) but it honestly wasn't too too bad! It really exceeded my expectations as far as plot, and I wasn't hardcore cringing for most of the movie so hey that's a plus!! The movie had a lot of genuinely funny moments, especially with Cogman, which got some pretty good laughs outta me like I was really having fun at those parts!! Optimus’ absence for most of the movie didn’t sit well with me for some reason. Like it just felt strange. But it kinda had to be for the story to move forward so I guess I can forgive that lol. The pacing was REALLY whack and way too fast though. Like they were REALLY trying to cram a whole lotta stuff into a relatively short amount of time. The movie's almost two and a half hours long but it really didn't feel like that because of how fast the pacing was. Some of the dialogue felt really forced because of this issue too. It didn’t feel genuine sometimes. But that has to be like, pretty much my only specific issue with it?? surprisingly?? wow. I'm honestly super shocked lmao dang man I didn’t think I’d like this movie at all but I was very much proved wrong!! I hated those old ladies tho and their obsession to get Vivian a boyfriend and the whole innuendo thing. Yeah. No. Don't do that. Stop. I'm too ace for this.

i know this isnt "just the style" because we have smoke-demon-scar looking more or less the same.. for a cluster of smoke. like in the sense that they didnt give him a fucking nosejob. for some reason. why give one and not the other a nose job if its an artstyle thing?

i get that they wanted to "make her design more consistant" since her cub form looked noticeably different but that's the thing. people change as they grow up, and even if we ignore the blatant nose job (???) she had her fuzzball volume throughout the entire show, she's an outlander. they're canonically underfed, "we have no food little water" even if she got more rations due to her place in the outlanders pride she wouldve been less fed than kovu, who they were obviously putting the most resources into making strong. you know. to eventually have him kill simba. she would have thinner fur as a result, even as a cub in the movie her fur quality was still clearly less fluffy and full than this adult version of her in the show. the entire point of why she (spoilers) got to get the roar and become leader of the lion guard is because she was willing to fight kion, even though she'd have lost since she had no The Roar tm op-cheat-code like kion did. so her being a fighter despite being malnourished wouldnt have gone against the show even, much less the movie.

i honestly partially blame the fans. some of them anyways. there was a sub-sect from the beginning that always made fanart of her in a dolled up cubbish looking "redesign" because heaven forbid an adult looks different from what they did as a cub/child. heaven forbid that adult be a good guy and not be conventionally attractive. Nevermind the people who grow up not being able to look in the mirror because a physical trait or even a large portion of their face looks like their abusive parent. WOULDNT WANT TO STAY TRUE TO THE MOVIES PREMISES OF: LOOKING LIKE AN EVIL PERSON DOESNT MAKE YOU EVIL

i was originally going to put a side by side picture of a celebrity as a kid and as an adult to show that people dont look like children when they grow up, they look different after puberty, but honestly that felt kinda scummy since child stars often get compared to when they were kids, often in a demeaning way and i feel like maybe theres possibly something to be said about that in relation to whats going on with vitani but at the same time.. i dunno, still seems scummy

it's not the end of the world obviously there are worse things, it just rubs me the wrong, pet peeve, kinda way. like maybe they wanted vitani to be pretty to appeal to kids, but, she was already appealing to me as a kid, i dont think it was from sexist intentions specifically, they clearly wanted to use her to teach kids that girls can be strong too, like a 90's girls can do everything boys can do in heels sort of pop feminism. i get it. but i think people in general just have this weird need to make good characters "pretty" and bad characters like villains "ugly". i take issue with that specifically. because it's fucking weird. her character design was already good. in the first pic you wouldnt guess her to be evil, but she can easily fill that role and look intimidating. like her character's essence. they didnt need to revamp her. lookit that smile, she's a fucking delight, lookit the sinister grin that takes place in the exact same scene, she's a menace. she fills both rolls of her character well visually aaaa.
